  • Google Indexing Issue after htaccess changes

    I have a site called www.FuneralCoverFinder.co.za. I have about 30 pages on the site and usually have 29 indexed. (Excluding 15 blog posts) They are new. I recently upgraded my entire site and made some redirection changes in my .htaccess file. I have made my url's more SEO friendly (Removing index.php/) and redirecting dead pages to working pages. I have tons of unique content all checked by grammarly and plagium to ensure I have no duplicate content. I have since resubmited my sitemap to Google and now have only one page indexed. It was within a couple of minutes. I usually see results almost immediately after submitting, now it's stuck on 1 page indexed. I assume I might have made errors in the .htaccess file as this was my first attempt. The site runs perfectly and all the url's redirect the way they should. I'm scared I have some or other loop, although the website runs fine. I still see many of my old indexed pages in the SERP's, I'm just worried that the issue with the new sitemap can cause my rankings some harm. My website is pretty SEO optimized onsite. I have about 1500 indexed backlinks and have been building them steadily over about half a year. I would really appreciate some clarity on this matter.

    Hi all, I have read on this site that it is necessary to customize the setOnItemSelectedListener and setOnItemClickListener of a ListView if we want to know the Index of the SelectedItem (.getSelectedItemPosition()). So that is what I do but it does not stores the position of the SekectedItem, instead i have always -1... What I want to do is just to give the user a way to delete items from a list by selected and Item and Clicking a button.   • Full text index requires dropping and recreating - why?

    Hi all, So I've got a web app running on .net 3.5 connected to a SQL 2005 box. We do scheduled releases every 2 weeks. About 14 tables out of 250 are full text indexed. After not every release, but a few too many, the indexes crap out. They seem to have data in there, but when we try to search them from the front end or SQL enterprise we get timeouts/hangs. We have a script that disables the indexes, drops them, deletes the catalog and then re creates the indexes. This fixes the problem 99 times out of 100. and the one other time, we run the script again and it all works We have tried just rebuilding the fulltext index but that doesn't fix the issue. My question is why do we have to do this ? what can we do to sort the index out?   • SQL Server Search Proper Names Full Text Index vs LIKE + SOUNDEX

    I have a database of names of people that has (currently) 35 million rows. I need to know what is the best method for quickly searching these names. The current system (not designed by me), simply has the first and last name columns indexed and uses "LIKE" queries with the additional option of using SOUNDEX (though I'm not sure this is actually used much). Performance has always been a problem with this system, and so currently the searches are limited to 200 results (which still takes too long to run). So, I have a few questions: Does full text index work well for proper names? If so, what is the best way to query proper names? (CONTAINS, FREETEXT, etc) Is there some other system (like Lucene.net) that would be better? Just for reference, I'm using Fluent NHibernate for data access, so methods that work will with that will be preferred. I'm using SQL Server 2008 currently. EDIT I want to add that I'm very interested in solutions that will deal with things like commonly misspelled names, eg 'smythe', 'smith', as well as first names, eg 'tomas', 'thomas'.     I have created a simple blog application with Ruby on Rails. The applications consists of two tables, posts and comments. Comments belongs_to :post and posts has_many :comments. I created posts table with the following columns: title:string, body:text. I created the comments table with the following columns: body:text post_id:integer name:string email:string In the /views/comments/index.html.erb display I would like to show a listing of all comments w/ the post title as well. Currently, the index view only displays post_id, body, name, email. How do I replace the post_id column with the corresponding post title?   • Filtering Questions (posts) by tag_name in TagController#index passing /tags?tag_name=something

    I am trying to get my TagsController#index action to display only the Questions that contain certain tags when passing the search parameter tag_name. I am not getting an error just can't get the filter to work correctly such that upon receiving the /tags?tag_name=something url, only those questions are displayed .     I am trying to retreive the stored value (div id) of an index stored in var "current" when it's div is clicked, so I can use it in a function to iterate through to the next index later. Outlook 2010 keeps losing the search index so when I search for an email it has the yellow bar saying: search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed Clicking on the bar says eg: 49200 items remaining to be indexed If it makes any difference, this is an IMAP account. If I leave Outlook open all day it will eventually index everything. But then say a week/month later it happens all again.

    Hello I have robots.txt that looks like this: User-agent: * Disallow: /system/ Disallow: /admin/ Disallow: /index.php The obvious goal has been to prevent all the ugly URLs from being indexed, as they all begin with "/index.php". But for some reason all URLs like /my-beautiful-sef-url-123 are listed under Crawl errors in Google Webmaster Tools with "URL restricted by robots.txt". (When I test such URL it yields Allowed for both Googlebot and Googlebot-Mobile.) Can anyone help please?

    I want to generate a maze with the following properties: The maze is non-perfect. Means it has loops and multiple ways to reach the exit. The maze should be random. The algorithm should output different mazes for different input parameters The maze doesn't have to be braided. Means dead-ends are allowed and appreciated.     I have completed a game for iOS which integrates GameKit. I am happy with Game Center however my game also has an HTML5 web version and will soo have an Android version. My question is what alternatives do I have for non-iOS platforms but primarily for Android and to a lesser extent a Javascript/Web SDK. I looked at Openfeint a year ago and it seemed to be a good solution back then but am not sure if this is still the case?     I am trying to get simple animations to work, exporting from Blender and importing into my application. My first attempt was as follows: Open Blender at factory settings. Select the default cube and insert a location keyframe. Select another frame and move the cube. Insert a second location keyframe. Export to Collada. When I open the Collada file using assimp it contains zero animations, even though in Blender the cube animates correctly. On my next attempt, I inserted a bone armature with a single bone, made it the parent of the cube, and animated the bone instead. Again the animation worked correctly in Blender. Assimp now lists one animation but both key frames have the position [0, 0, 0] Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get animated (non-skinned) meshes from Blender into Assimp? My ultimate goal here is to export animated meshes from Blender, process them offline into my own model format, and load them into my SharpDX based graphics engine..

What would be be the best approach? Run recursion down and up for every node? The data structure of every treenode is a list of children, list of parents. (the type of children and parents are treenodes) Clarification: Group defined if there is a kind of "closure" between nodes where root itself is not part of the closure. As you can see from the graph you can't travel from pink to other nodes (you CAN NOT use root). From brown node you can travel to it's child so this form another group. Finally you can travel from any cyan node to other cyan nodes so the form another group
