• Javascript How do I force a string + variable to be evaluated as a variable

  Im not even sure how to word this and is probably why I am having trouble finding an answer in google. When the code is run currentCardRow will equal 1 therefore it should be cardSelected1 which is what is shown in the console.log. I need it to go a step further because cardSelected1 is a variable and I need it to evaluate show in the console log as Invitation. Invitation is an example of a variable for cardSelected1. I am not sure on what the correct syntax is to make this happen. var currentCardSelected = "cardSelected" + currentCardRow; Thanks for your help!

  I know this. Calling C function from C++: If my application was in C++ and I had to call functions from a library written in C. Then I would have used //main.cpp extern "C" void C_library_function(int x, int y);//prototype C_library_function(2,4);// directly using it. This wouldn't mangle the name C_library_function and linker would find the same name in its input *.lib files and problem is solved. Calling C++ function from C??? But here I'm extending a large application which is written in C and I need to use a library which is written in C++. Name mangling of C++ is causing trouble here. Linker is complaining about the unresolved symbols. Well I cannot use C++ compiler over my C project because thats breaking lot of other stuff. What is the way out? By the way I'm using MSVC

Instead of returning the list, it keeps returning None, but if I replace the return with print in the elif statement, it prints the list just fine. • Problems loading controller from url with codeigniter?

  I'm currently in the process of putting up my first website for public use. I am using the codeigniter framework in order to do this, but I am having trouble loading the controllers from the url. I currently have the default codeigniter installment that you download trying to get things to work. The controller welcome is loaded by default, but when I try to load it through the url it doesn't work. I was having the same problem with the site that I had uploaded earlier.   I'm having trouble compounding NSPredicate with AND, although using OR works fine. Imagine 2 entities, Doctor and Patient. Doctors can have many patients and patients many doctors. I want to find doctors that, say, have both person1 and person2 as patients. I expected this to work but it returns none. NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"ANY patients matches 'person1&&person2'"]; If I change && to ||, I get all doctors that have person1 or person2 as I'd expect.   I've never been able to find a good script or plugin for sql server Management Studio (2005 and or 2008) for a very common scripting need: specifying a few/all rows in a table and scripting their insert. You can guess my story: I've got some configuration data in my dev db and I need to script it for deployment to UAT and then production. I've found a few cludgy systems in the past, that were more trouble than they were worth. I need something free and unobtrusive. Once I find it I'll share it with the other 20 developers in my shop who are annoyed by this. Aren't we all annoyed by this by the way? What is the best, easiest, free, way to specify a few/all rows in a table and get a script their insert?

• Entity framework Update fails when object is linked to a missing child

  I’m having trouble updating an objects child when the object has a reference to a nonexising child record. eg. Tables Car and CarColor have a relationship. Car.CarColorId CarColor.CarColorId If I load the car with its color record like so this var result = from x in database.Car.Include("CarColor") where x.CarId = 5 select x; I'll get back the Car object and it’s Color object. Now suppose that some time ago a CarColor had been deleted but the Car record in question still contains the CarColorId value. So when I run the query the Color object is null because the CarColor record didn’t exist. My problem here is that when I attach another Color object that does exist I get a Store update, insert error when saving. Car.Color = newColor Database.SaveChanges(); It’s like the context is trying to delete the nonexisting color. How can I get around this?

  Hi everyone, I am experiencing a problem that has popped up recently and is causing quite a bit of trouble for our system. • Sharepoint 2010 Calendar Event Receiver

  I have been tasked with creating a calendar in a root site that get's updated from child site calendar events. I am able to access the Calendar List from the parent site in the child site's to add an event. However, I'm having trouble finding a way to create a uniqueIdentifier for the event so that when the child calendar's event is updated or deleted, the parent site calendar get's updated as well. The ListItem ID field appears to be only unique among the site. I did find a UniqueItemId field, but apparantly it's read-only in the SP LIstitem object. Can someone please give me some guidance here? Many thanks!

  I'm used to MySQL and PHPMyAdmin - I had to switch over to MSSQL for an ASP.net project, and I'm having tons of trouble. I'm using the express version of SQL 2008, with SQL Server Management Studio. The following are 2 questions I've been struggling with for a while: 1) How do I export the DB schema for the database? The table structure, etc.? 2) How do I export all the data in the database? Ideally I'd like to have a .sql file that can be run wherever I need the schema or data duplicated, for example a co-worker's computer for a shared project, or online when the project is being hosted.   friends, I have to trouble you as I couldn't find a solution after trying for a long time. I have 3 columns of data. x, y, and the stress value (S) at every point (x, y). I want to generate a 2D color plot displaying continuous color change with the magnitude of the stress (S). The stress values increase from -3*10^4 Pa to 4*10^4 Pa. I only have hundreds of data sets for an area, but I want to see the stress magnitude (read from the color) at every location (x, y). What Matlab command should I use? Thank you very much! • Seeking assistance with Escaping Data for MySQL queries

  Please don't send me a link to php.net referencing mysql_real_escape_string as the only response. I have read through the page and while I understand the general concepts, I am having some trouble based on how my INSERT statement is currently built. Today, I am using the following: $sql = "INSERT INTO tablename VALUES ('', '$_SESSION['Member1FirstName'], '$_SESSION['Member1LastName'], '$_SESSION['Member1ID'], '$_SESSION['Member2FirstName'], '$_SESSION['Member2LastName'], '$_SESSION['Member2ID'] .... and the list goes on for 20+ members with some other values entered. It seems most people in the examples already have all their data stored in an array. On my site, I accept form inputs, action="" is set to self, php validation takes place and if validation passes, data is stored into SESSION variables on page 2 then redirected to the next page in the process (page 3) (approximately 8-10 pages in the whole process). thanks!

• Domain Redirection While Maintaining Original URL

  I have two domains ("this_site.com" and "that_site.com") that I want to point to the same place (same set of files). BUT What I really want to do is maintain the original URL in the address bar while the visitor accesses the different pages. Example: The primary domain holding the web files is "this_site.com". If I type in "that_site.com" in the address bar, I want the address bar to keep displaying "that_site.com" no matter where they go on the web site. Normal domain redirection causes the URL displayed in the address bar to change to the 'master' domain (i.e. the visitor that typed in "that_site.com" will see the address bar's URL change to "this_site.com"). Is there some sort of .htaccess trick that I can employ to do this? What I'm trying to do is NOT confuse visitors who visit one URL and find themselves on a different URL as well as avoid the additional expense and trouble of having to maintain two separate hosting accounts.

  Hi all, I'm just starting to dabble in consuming a JSON webservice, and I am having a little trouble working out the best way to get to the actual data elements. I am receiving a response which has been converted into a ruby hash using the JSON.parse method. I am running the latest version of the MVC V2 framework and have been having no trouble at all - I came in this morning and for some reason values aren't being passed in to actions.   I'm currently using ShellExecute "open" to open a URL in the user's browser, but running into a bit of trouble in Win7 and Vista because the program runs elevated as a service. When ShellExecute opens the browser, it seems to read the "Local Admin" profile instead of the user's. So for example, if the user at the keyboard has Firefox as his default browser, it may open IE (which is the admin's default). I know that the "runas" verb can be used to elevate, but how do you do it the other way around? Is there a way to open a URL in the default browser on a standard user's desktop from a service?

• UITableViewController executes delate functions before network request finishes

  I'm having trouble trying to populate a UITableView with the results of a network request. It seems that my code is alright as it works perfectly when my network is speedy, however, when it's not, the function - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath- still executes, which results in a bad access error. I presume that this is because the array that the aforesaid function attempts to utilize has not been populated. • Converting files to blob to save in database

  I have an old user site that we are currently updating. The site's users have previously uploaded profile pics that are stored in a directory. I am now wanting to keep these profile images in the database, (easy to backup all data) but am having trouble working out how to do it. There are a lot of tutorials talking about do ing this from files that have just been uploaded and using the tmp name etc, but how can I re-create with files that have already been uploaded? I have looked into $data = file_get_contents($filename); Which seems to create a binary file, but doesn't seem to save in database with: mysql_query("UPDATE profiles SET company_logo = mysql_real_escape_string('".$data."') • jquery ajax call: multiple links load data into one div

  I have a dynamically generated list of links. Each link will request a different page to load. Depending on the link clicked I want it to fill the div with an ajax .load call. The thing is I want all links to reset and fill the same div. I am having trouble doing this without making a seperate div for each link, which isn't what I'm looking for. • emacs debugger: how can I step-out, step-over ?

  I don't know why I'm having so much trouble groking the documentation for the elisp debugger. I see it has a commands to "step-into" (d). But for the life of me, I cannot see a step-out or step-over. Can anyone help? If I have this in the Backtrace buffer: Debugger entered--returning value: 5047 line-beginning-position() * c-parse-state() * byte-code("...") * c-guess-basic-syntax() c-show-syntactic-information(nil) call-interactively(c-show-syntactic-information) ...where do I put the cursor, and what key do I type, to step out of the parse-state() fn ? by that I mean, run until that fn returns, and then stop in the debugger again.
