• How to set Atomikos to not write to console logs?

  Atomikos is quite verbose when used. There seems to be lots of INFO messages (mostly irrelevant for me) that the transaction manager writes out to the console. The setting in the transaction.properties that is suppose to control the level of messaging com.atomikos.icatch.console_log_level does not seem to have any effect, since even when set to WARN (or ERROR) the INFO messages are still logged. Also the log4j settings for com.atomikos and atomikos seem to be ignored. Does anyone manage to turn off the INFO logs on the console with Atomikos?. How? Thanks Peter

  I don't like to use IE for my system default web browser. but I do want to set IE as my browser in VS2010 because it works a little nicer for debugging and I like to develop to the lowest common denominator. (jab, lol)... anyhow, can I default to debugging against IE? I know in VS2008 you just had to "Browse With..." on an .aspx page. But that option doesn't exist in VS2010 RC. What gives?

  I made a figure within my latex document using the subfigure package, containing three subfigures. The part where the subfigures are now automatically labelled (a), (b), (c) needs to be uppercase, though. i.e. the result from the latex code in the finally rendered PDF is (a) img1 (b) img2 (c) img3 but it needs to be (A) img1 (B) img2 (C) img3 How can I set this?   I am working with a QT GUI. I am implementing a simple hex edit control using a QTableView. My initial idea is to use a table with seventeen columns. Each row of the table will have 16 hex bytes and then an ASCII representation of that data in the seventeenth column. Ideally, I would like to edit/set the style of the seventeenth column to have no lines on the top and bottom of each cell to give the text a free flowing appearance. What is the best way to approach this using the QTableView?

  I'm interested in returning an empty result set from SQL Server stored procedures in certain events. The intended behaviour is that a L2SQL DataContext.SPName().SingleOrDefault() will result in CLR null value. I'm presently using the following solution, but I'm unsure whether it would be considered bad practice, a performance hazard (I could not find one by reading the execution plan), or if there is simply a better way: SELECT * FROM [dbo].[TableName] WHERE 0 = 1; The execution plan is a constant scan with a trivial cost associated with it. The reason I am asking this instead of simply not running any SELECTs is because I'm concerned previous SELECT @scalar or SELECT INTO statements could cause unintended result sets to be served back to L2SQL. Am I worrying over nothing?

  Ran into this problem today, posting in case someone else has the same issue. var execBtn = document.createElement('input'); execBtn.setAttribute("type", "button"); execBtn.setAttribute("id", "execBtn"); execBtn.setAttribute("value", "Execute"); execBtn.setAttribute("onclick", "runCommand();"); Turns out to get IE to run an onclick on a dynamically generated element, we can't use setAttribute. Instead, we need to set the onclick property on the object with an anonymous function wrapping the code we want to run. execBtn.onclick = function() { runCommand() }; BAD IDEAS: You can do execBtn.setAttribute("onclick", function() { runCommand() }); but it will break in IE in non-standards mode according to @scunliffe. You can't do this at all execBtn.setAttribute("onclick", runCommand() ); because it executes immediately, and sets the result of runCommand() to be the onClick attribute value, nor can you do execBtn.setAttribute("onclick", runCommand);

  Hi All, I'm currently working with CKEditor (http://ckeditor.com/). I'm looking for: 1) an exhaustive list of commands available by default via 'execCommand'. 2) a mechanism by which to set styles (as in the same way the FONT and SIZE combo boxes do it). I saw the function called 'setStyle' in the documentation, however it seems to require an exact element. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do so based on the selection -- there is no way to use ID or CLASS, as the selected portions have none. I've posted to the forums but they don't seem to be terribly active as far as replies are concerned. Any assistance would be most appreciated. Best.

  In Excel, I have the following formula =(MIN(H69,H52,H35,H18)*(1/H18))*10 that is supposed to return the MIN of a range, and divide it by the current cell (*(1/H18) ), then multiply by 10. I am having difficulty with adding a type of NULLIF statement. I want to be able to have (the possibility for) blank rows, and have the MIN function ignore zero/blank fields while selecting the next lowest value (all are between 1.0-0.1). Is there a modifier i can apply to the MIN function to make it not compare zeroes in the MIN set? Is there a better funtion than MIN to use? This is to prevent the following situation: users will need to eliminate fields that are zeros from the form, theres 2 formula edits per entry, averaging 4 entries per use, so 8 possible errors per form use...

For Employee I have a pointer to Department, and I set its value to the address of the object of the relevant Department.   I have a nested list something like this: PLACES = ( ('CA', 'Canada', ( ('AB', 'Alberta'), ('BC', 'British Columbia' ( ('van', 'Vancouver'), ), ... )), ('US', 'United States', ( ('AL', 'Alabama'), ('AK', 'Alaska'), ... I need to retrieve some data out of it. If depth is 0 I need to retrieve all the countries (and their codes), if depth == 1, I need to retrieve all the states/provinces, if depth == 2 I need to retrieve all the cities... and so forth. Is there some set library for doing stuff like this? Or can someone point me in the right direction? I started coding up a solution only to realize it wouldn't work for levels deeper than 1 because you have to go in and out of each list...

  Hello there, I am trying to set up a private repository of Android source code while hosting the git trees on github as private repos. I have no problem changing the manifest.xml file to point to public git trees hosted on github in the same way that CynagonMod does, but when trying to point to private repos I get the following error when trying "repo sync": Initializing project username/android_external_webkit ... fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly error: Cannot fetch username/android_external_webkit Where username/android_external_webkit is of course a private github repo of the same name. I understand the error occurs since I did not specify my user name and credentials to github, but I fail to see how to do it in the manifest.xml with repo. Any ideas? Thanks! Gilad

No matter what I do, links on my local machine are showing "localhost" in the path causing all images and links to not work properly.   I have a single model in CakePHP that has multiple forms on different pages of the site that I would like to validate differently even where the field name is the same - I have discovered that you can set 'on' to create|update which has been a handy discovery but I am wondering if there is any other way of explicitly declaring rules based on the form that was submitted? Just to rephrase for clarity, form a and form b contain fields of the same name, but if form a is submitted the fields in question should be validated differently than if they were submitted from form b. Possible?

• How do I set the timeout on the standalone Flash player in FlexBuilder?

  I am using FlexBuilder 3 (which works as an Eclipse plugin). To debug, I launch the standalone Flash players for Flash 9 and 10 from Eclipse. I find that an HTTPService connection on both these version times out after 30 seconds. Flash does not time out when I run the same application in Flash in Firefox or Chrome (I have the debug version of Flash 10 installed there). How can I set the timeout in the standalone Flash player? There seem to be very few config options in the GUI, and none in the Windows registry. Setting HTTPService.requestTimeout programmatically does not help. Alternatively, is there a way to download and install a second copy (which might give me some other default timeout). (I know of the downloadable debug player, but that does not run as a standalone exe.)
