    just as this link says : http://untidy.net/blog/2009/11/03/replacing-notepad-with-pn-via-image-file-execution-options/ I wanna replace Notepad.exe to Notepad2.exe using "Image File Execution Options" function by run this command reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\notepad.exe" /v "Debugger" /t REG_SZ /d "\"c:\windows\Notepad2.exe\" /z" /f but, when I run notepad, it open file c:\windows\notepad.exe in notepad2.exe as a text file by default. Is there a way to avoid that? I know using this tech Notepad.exe will as the first param passed to Notepad2.exe. but I don't know how to avoid this :(

  • Want to open Shadowbox gallery directly through Wordpress Navigation Menu

    I want to be able to open my shadowbox gallery in wordpress by directly clicking the portfolio link in the navbar. Right now it either opens the portfolio page I made with the gallery in it or opens images separately (without shadowbox), this was because I tried adding html to the Nav Label in the wordpress dashboard.   • Building a financial app with Django

    Hi guys, I'm building an app for a small business so I've to work with currencies, decimal numbers, etc... My goal is to create something like pulseapp.com. I've searched for opensource projects to look and the only thing I had found was django-cashflow. This app uses python-money. I've read some of the code and the ways it's coded seems a bit weird to me and it's not fully complete. Is the app worth to take a deep look? Does anyone know about another similar app? Is the task difficult or a begginer like me could find a way to code it himself?

When i created an object of type myClass on my machine using VBScript, everything is working fine... here i used the CreateObject() method as shown below: Set myObj = CreateObject("myDll.myClass") Now i want to create an object of type myClass from VBScript that is running on another machine, how can i do this. please help me how can i access that dll file, am using the CreateObject() function as shown below: Set HD = CreateObject("myDll.myClass","myMachineName") now am getting error as "permission denied"

  • App crashing on open on Motorola Backflip only

    I have recently published my second app on the Android Market. I've gotten a few e-mails about the app crashing on open, and all users were using the Motorola Backflip. It seems to work fine on all other devices. The app shows the background image, but crashes right after that. Is there something different I have to do when coding for that device? The strange thing is that it is very similar to my first app, which seems to work just fine for them. The major difference is that my second app is a paid app, and uses Android Licence Verification. My implementation should catch any license errors though, and I've tested this on my device. Users have uninstalled and reinstalled the app without success. I'm stumped. The other thing they're reporting is that the icon doesn't even show properly, but rather is a gear in a box, which makes me think that something goes awry very early in the installation process.

    I am currently working on a wpf application. There are some methods in other classes in which I want to trigger to do some work instead of trying to figure out how to rewrite them in. How is it that I can get to those classes? Would I have to for example instantiate the class? If so, once I instantiate it, how would I be able access them. Keep in mind that these classes have abstract classes on top of abstract classes.

  • Unit testing with Data Access Layer

    Hi, what is a good way to write unit tests with a LINQ to SQL DAL? Currently I am doing some database testing and need to create helper methods that access the database, but I don't want those methods in my main repo's. So what I have is two copies of the DAL, one in my main project and one in the Test project. Is it easier to manage these things if I create a separate project for the data layer? I'm not sure which way is a better way to approach this. If I do create a data layer project would I move all my repo's to that project as well? I'm not sure how to properly setup the layers. Thanks

    Hello, I have created Views for Multiview dynamically . In the view control I have a Gridview control which has a checkbox control. I have a button in the main aspx page on click of which it will check(if checked or not) for all the checkbox and fetch the corresponding row from the gridview. The view is for tabbed menu. In each tab the the gridview populates the data in the runtime. Have defined the dynamic control in Page_PreInit. I'm not able to access the checkbox . How would I achieve this . Thanks

  • Facebook Open Graph Debugger Error

    Hi I am new to programming and have tried to make a facebook app with open graph beta tutorial. I have done exactly as described in the tutorial but when i try to use the debug tool it gives me an error: Extraneous Property: Objects of this type do not allow properties named og:app_id. I have noticed and searched that its doing this because the tag needs to be <fb:app_id>. I checked my file it says fb:app_id only, but the raw data that pulls up on the debug tool shows meta property="og:app_id" content="267029796703617" even though i have changed and uploaded with fb:app_id. I have checked my page several times and tried some possible solutions but have had no success. Can someone help me fix this.

  • Access is denied trying to access a sMetabasePath on a SMTP Server from a different Web Server

    I have written a C# dot net application that updates the SMTP relay restriction list in IIS 6. Running the application locally works great and I can add/remove IPs/DNS from the relay restriction list without any problem. Now I need to do the same for a SMTP server that is not running on the same webserver that I have the application running. So I have the web application on webserver A and the SMTP server on webserver/smtp server B. My app pool is running under a domain user and I have given the same user rights to the SMTP server under the security tab in the SMTP Virtual Server property window. I thought I could simply change the sMetabasePath from "IIS://localhost/smtpsvc/1" to "IIS://10.171.243.134/smtpsvc/1" and everything would just work but I get an "Access is denied" error. So I must have to do something else to get this to work. I even gave the domain user full admin rights on the SMTP server to no avail. Any ideas

    In my objective-c program, I need to open a URL in Safari no matter what the system's default browser is. That means that this won't work, because it could launch Firefox or whatever other browser: NSWorkspace * ws = [NSWorkspace sharedWorkspace]; [ws openURL: url]; I think I'm close with this: [ws launchAppWithBundleIdentifier: @"com.apple.Safari" options: NSWorkspaceLaunchWithoutActivation additionalEventParamDescriptor: NULL launchIdentifier: nil]; only need to figure out how to pass in the URL as parameter...     I am working on a project where I need to embed a web server into my C# application so the application could display it's status via HTTP. I suppose I'll want to configure it through the http also. I am looking for an open-source library written in C# and with a licensing scheme that will allow me to link it into my existing closed source code (LGPL). Any suggestions of specific products or where to look first? It would be great if that product could have some kind of scripting, at least templates. All html output would go from the application, only resources would be stored on the disk (images, icons, ...) EDIT: I would like it to run under .NET 2.0, however.

    I need to open, read and insert items into an online SQLite database from an Android app. I know url, username and password. In JavaSE i would do the following: Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); Connection dbConnection = DriverManager.getConnection(URL, USER, PASSWORD); I read that I can't do this in Android because there is not a JDBC Driver (there is a "SQLite.JDBCDriver" but it is not documented and not recommended). So which is the easiest way? I asked to Google but it looks like he either doesn't know.

  • Dynamic access to tables from another database inside an user function

    I have an user defined table function in SQL Server that aggregate data from several tables including a couple of tables of another database. That is done hardcoding the name of the database in the queries, but we want to make the database name configurable (because our databases usually share the server with the databases of other applications). I tried to construct a dynamic query string inside the function using the database name that is stored in a configuration table, but: When I tried exec(@sqlStatement) SQL Server said that execute string is not allowed inside a function. Then I tried exec sp_executesql @sqlStatement and the function was created, but when you execute it SQL Server says that inside a function you can only run extended functions and procedures. So the question is: is possible create a function or stored procedure that access a table in another database without having to recreate the function when the database name is different? TIA.

  • Why I cannot access the properties of my Custom ComboBox

    Ok, I created a windows control project....dropped a comboBox on it, wrote some custom code that I wanted on its event ( Text Changed event, etc) ... I can also compile it and drop it on a new WinForms App... good. But in my sample WinForms app that I want to use it, I cannot access the properties of that combo box.. it does not list them .. properties like SelectedItems, etc... what Am I doing wrong? this is my first time creating a custom control tho.     Hello, I know this may be a recurring topic, but I have read a lot of articles and I still have doubts. Also, I would like to hear more recent opinions about this. The main requirements of my application server are: flexible configuration, support for a extremely high number of concurrent users. It will be a system for the mobile communications industry, so it must have high availability as well. I am going to develop a J2EE application and Open Source Applications Servers are my only option. I have use GlassFish for a very small project and I really liked it.     Syntax question: I am using the code below to call a query in Access VBA strSQL = "INSERT INTO tblLoanDetails ([ServerName]) VALUES ('Test') WHERE [ID]=3" Call CurrentDb.Execute(strSQL) And i am getting a runtime error of "3067: Query must contain atleast one table or query." the insert statement string looks like this (Threw the var into a text box): INSERT INTO tblLoanDetails ([ServerName]) VALUES ('Test') WHERE [ID]=3 I also tried adding a semi-colon to the end but with no luck. I also double checked to make sure my table is called tblLoanDetails and my Column names are ServerName, and ID Appreciate any help.

  • GNU General Public License (v2): can a company use the licensed software for free?

    When a library is released under the GPL v2, can a company use it internally for free? If they develop software based on it, do they have to release it under the GPL, even if they don't distribute it? Can they make money by using (not distributing) internally developed software that links to the GPL'ed library, without any compensation for the author? I am looking for a software license that only allows non-commercial uses (copy, modify, link to); the resulting derived programs must also be free for non-commercial uses. Is there any software license that does this for non-commercial uses, and prevents any commercial use (including using the software in order to make money)? It looks like the Creative Commons licenses are flexible enough to do something close to that, but I've read against using them for software. What do you think?
