    Can someone please help me write a simple query "SELECT first_name FROM table_name" using PDO. I want to move away from using mysql_connect. Im working on a php project with mysql. Can you please write for me such a code that i can use THANK YOU <?php $host="127.0.0.1"; // Host name $username="root"; // Mysql username $password=""; // Mysql password $db_name="microict-intrasys"; // Database name //$id = 5; try { $conn = new PDO('mysql:host={$host};dbname={$db_name}', $username, $password); // you neeeeeed this--^ and this--^ $stmt = $conn->prepare('SELECT version FROM system_info'); $stmt->execute(array('id' => $id)); $result = $stmt->fetchAll(); if ( count($result) ) { foreach($result as $row) { print_r($row); } } else { echo "No rows returned."; } } catch(PDOException $e) { echo 'ERROR: ' . $e->getMessage(); } ?>

  • Collider2D and Rigidbody2D, how do they work?

    - by user42646
    I have been learning JavaScript and Unity for a week now. I learned how to make Cube as a Ground and another Cube as a player and I used this code to make the Player Cube move forward and backward and jumping var walkspeed: float = 5.0; var jumpheight: float = 250.0; var grounded = false; function Update() { rigidbody.freezeRotation = true; if (Input.GetKey("a")) transform.Translate(Vector3(-1, 0, 0) * Time.deltaTime * walkspeed); if (Input.GetKey("d")) transform.Translate(Vector3(1, 0, 0) * Time.deltaTime * walkspeed); if (Input.GetButton("Jump")) { Jump(); } } function OnCollisionEnter(hit: Collision) { grounded = true; } function Jump() { if (grounded == true) { rigidbody.AddForce(Vector3.up * jumpheight); grounded = false; } } I also learned how to make a character hit box. how to make a sprite and animation. pretty much the basic stuff. Couple of days ago I created simple ground in Photoshop and a simple character and imported them to Unity3D. Whenever I use my code above the character keeps falling from the scene. Like the character has nothing to stand on. After thinking about it it make sense because I really didn't make anything to make the player character understand that he should stand on something so I started reading about this issue and I realized that there is something called Collider2D and Rigidbody2D. Now I'm really stuck here I just don't know what to do. I applied the rigibody2d to my character picture and the Collider2D to the ground picture but whenever I play the project the gravity makes my character falls down. This is my question: How can I make the rigibody2d object realize that it shouldn't fall if there is a Collider2D object under it? So when I jump it's going to jump and the gravity going to bring it back to the ground.

  • Basic Use of ApplyImpulse

    - by nycynik
    I am trying to apply a force to a bunch of b2_dynamicBodys, but it seems to only work for a random number of items and then stops with an error. //create some items to move bodyDef.type = b2Body.b2_dynamicBody; for(var i = 0; i < 5; ++i) { fixDef.shape = new b2PolygonShape; fixDef.shape.SetAsBox(1,1); fixDef.friction = 1; fixDef.restitution = .1; bodyDef.position.x = Math.random() * 10; bodyDef.position.y = Math.random() * 10; bodyDef.linearDamping=1; bodyDef.angularDamping=.8; itemsArray.push(world.CreateBody(bodyDef).CreateFixture(fixDef)); // store for later } then i try to apply a force later with: angle = 20; for (var xIdx=0; xIdx<itemArray.length; xIdx++) { itemsArray[xIdx].GetBody().ApplyImpulse(new b2Vec2(50*Math.cos(angle*Math.PI/180),50*Math.sin(angle*Math.PI/180));); } the error I receive is TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'c.x') Is there something wrong with saving the items for later use when I am creating them? Does anyone know what is causing this.

  • How would you manage development between many Staging branches?

    - by Trip
    We have a Staging Branch. then we came out with a Beta branch for users to move whenever they wanted to from old Production branch to the new features. Our plan seemed simple, we test on Staging, when items get QA'd, they get cherry-picked and deploy to Beta. Here's the problem! A bug will discreetly make its way on to Beta, and since Beta is a production environment, it needs fixes fast and accurate. But not all the QA's got done. Enter Git hell.. So I find a problem on Beta. No sweat, its already been fixed on Staging, but when I go to cherry-pick the item over, Beta barely has any of the other pre-requisites of code to implement this small change. Now Beta has a little here and a little there, and I can't imagine it as a code base being as stable as Staging. What's more, is I'm dealing with some insane Git conflicts, and having to monkey patch a bunch of things to make up for what Beta hasn't caught up with Staging. Can someone polite or non-polite terms, tell me what we're doing wrong here as far as assembling this project? Any awesome recommendations or workarounds or alternatives to the system we came up with?

  • Web Host which provides Latex and embedded programming [duplicate]

    - by Polymer
    This question already has an answer here: How to find web hosting that meets my requirements? 5 answers Hopefully this is a reasonable place to ask this question. I'll confess I'm a little green when it comes to web programming and websites in general (though not programming). I'm a Math and Physics person. I want to make a personal webpage containing a Math and Physics blog. Ideally the blog should support latex, and embedded programs. This would allow me to write, say, an equation for an orbit and then show what the orbit would look like (perhaps letting the reader configure parameters). The programming language can be javascript (though it isn't my favorite language). My budget is around 5 dollars a month. Does anybody have suggestions for a good Shared host with these kind of requirements? And a small aside, It would be useful if I can move the website content, since I might live at a university in the nearish future. They would have servers which could support such a webpage.

  • "'0.offsetWidth' is null or not an object" - Coda Slider - Javascript Error Question

    - by bgadoci
    I implemented the Coda Slider tutorial successfully that is located here: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/coda-slider-effect/ The slider works great but I am getting a javascript error that I am not sure how to fix. The error says: '0.offsetWidth' is null or not an object coda-slider.js, line 19 character 3 Not sure how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas? Here is my js and css (don't think I need to upload the HTML but let me know if that helps). JS (coda-slider.js) // when the DOM is ready... $(document).ready(function () { var $panels = $('#slider .scrollContainer > div'); var $container = $('#slider .scrollContainer'); // if false, we'll float all the panels left and fix the width // of the container var horizontal = true; // float the panels left if we're going horizontal if (horizontal) { $panels.css({ 'float' : 'left', 'position' : 'relative' // IE fix to ensure overflow is hidden }); // calculate a new width for the container (so it holds all panels) $container.css('width', $panels[0].offsetWidth * $panels.length); <------line 19 } // collect the scroll object, at the same time apply the hidden overflow // to remove the default scrollbars that will appear var $scroll = $('#slider .scroll').css('overflow', 'hidden'); // apply our left + right buttons $scroll .before('<img class="scrollButtons left" src="/images/layout/navigation/scroll_left.png" />') .after('<img class="scrollButtons right" src="/images/layout/navigation/scroll_right.png" />'); // handle nav selection function selectNav() { $(this) .parents('ul:first') .find('a') .removeClass('selected') .end() .end() .addClass('selected'); } $('#slider .navigation').find('a').click(selectNav); // go find the navigation link that has this target and select the nav function trigger(data) { var el = $('#slider .navigation').find('a[href$="' + data.id + '"]').get(0); selectNav.call(el); } if (window.location.hash) { trigger({ id : window.location.hash.substr(1) }); } else { $('ul.navigation a:first').click(); } // offset is used to move to *exactly* the right place, since I'm using // padding on my example, I need to subtract the amount of padding to // the offset. Try removing this to get a good idea of the effect var offset = parseInt((horizontal ? $container.css('paddingTop') : $container.css('paddingLeft')) || 0) * -1; var scrollOptions = { target: $scroll, // the element that has the overflow // can be a selector which will be relative to the target items: $panels, navigation: '.navigation a', // selectors are NOT relative to document, i.e. make sure they're unique prev: 'img.left', next: 'img.right', // allow the scroll effect to run both directions axis: 'xy', onAfter: trigger, // our final callback offset: offset, // duration of the sliding effect duration: 500, // easing - can be used with the easing plugin: // http://gsgd.co.uk/sandbox/jquery/easing/ easing: 'swing' }; // apply serialScroll to the slider - we chose this plugin because it // supports// the indexed next and previous scroll along with hooking // in to our navigation. $('#slider').serialScroll(scrollOptions); // now apply localScroll to hook any other arbitrary links to trigger // the effect $.localScroll(scrollOptions); // finally, if the URL has a hash, move the slider in to position, // setting the duration to 1 because I don't want it to scroll in the // very first page load. We don't always need this, but it ensures // the positioning is absolutely spot on when the pages loads. scrollOptions.duration = 1; $.localScroll.hash(scrollOptions); }); CSS #slider { margin-left: 35px; position: relative; width: 875px; } .scroll { position: relative; width: 875px; height: 268px; overflow: auto; /* fix for IE to respect overflow */ background: #FFFFFF scroll 0; } .scrollContainer div.panel { position: relative; height: 210px; width: 875px; /* change to 560px if not using JS to remove rh.scroll */ } .scrollButtons { position: absolute; top: 115px; cursor: pointer; } .scrollButtons.left { left: -20px; } .scrollButtons.right { right: -20px; }

  • iPhone/Obj-C: Accessing a UIScrollView from a View displayed within it.

    - by Daniel I-S
    I'm writing a simple iPhone app which lets a user access a series of calculators. It consists of the following: UITableViewController (RootViewController), with the list of calculators. UIViewController + UIScrollView (UniversalScroller), which represents an empty scroll view - and has a 'displayedViewController' property. UIViewController (Calculators 1-9), each of which contains a view with controls that represents a particular calculator. Each calculator takes 3-5 values via UITextFields and UISliders, and has a 'calculate' button. They can potentially be taller than 460px(iPhone screen height). The idea is: User taps on a particular menu item in the RootViewController. This loads and inits UniversalScroller, ALSO loads and inits the UIViewcontroller for the particular calculator that was selected, sets the displayedViewController property of UniversalScroller to the newly loaded calculator UIViewcontroller, and pushes the UniversalScroller to the front. When the UniversalScroller hits its 'viewDidLoad' event, it sets its contentSize to the view frame size of its 'displayedViewController' object. It then adds the displayedViewController's view as a subview to itself, and sets its own title to equal that of the displayedViewController. It now displays the calculator, along with the correct title, in a scrollable form. Conceptually (and currently; this stuff has all been implemented already), this works great - I can design the calculators how I see fit, as tall as they end up being, and they will automatically be accommodated and displayed in an appropriately configured UIScrollView. However, there is one problem: The main reason I wanted to display things in a UIScrollView was so that, when the on-screen-keyboard appeared, I could shift the view up to focus on the control that is currently being edited. To do this, I need access to the UniversalScroller object that is holding the current calculator's view. On the beganEditing: event of each control, I intended to use the [UniversalScroller.view scrollRectToVisible: animated:] method to move focus to the correct control. However, I am having trouble accessing the UniversalScroller. I tried assigning a reference to it as a property of each calculator UIViewController, but did't seem to have much luck. I've read about using Delegates but have had trouble working out exactly how they work. I'm looking for one of three things: Some explanation of how I can access the methods of a UIScrollView from a UIViewController whose view is contained within it. or Confirmation of my suspicions that making users scroll on a data entry form is bad, and I should just abandon scrollviews altogether and move the view up and down to the relevant position when the keyboard appears, then back when it disappears. or Some pointers on how I could go about redesigning the calculators (which are basically simple data entry forms using labels, sliders and textfields) to be contained within UITableViewCells (presumably in a UITableView, which I understand is a scrollview deep down) - I read a post on SO saying that that's a more pleasing way to make a data entry form, but I couldn't find any examples of that online. Screenshots would be nice. Anything to make my app more usable and naturally 'iPhone-like', since shuffling labels and textboxes around makes me feel like I am building a winforms app! I've only recently started with this platform and language, and despite being largely an Apple skeptic I definitely see the beauty in the way that it works. Help me solve this problem and I might fall in love completely. Dan

  • Silverlight 3.0 Custom Cursor in Chart

    - by Wonko the Sane
    Hello All, I'm probably overlooking something that will be obvious when I see the solution, but for now... I am attempting to use a custom cursor inside the chart area of a Toolkit chart. I have created a ControlTemplate for the chart, and a grid to contain the cursors. I show/hide the cursors, and attempt to move the containing Grid, using various Mouse events. The cursor is being displayed at the correct times, but I cannot get it to move to the correct position. Here is the ControlTemplate (the funky colors are just attempts to confirm what the different pieces of the template pertain to): <dataVisTK:Title Content="{TemplateBinding Title}" Style="{TemplateBinding TitleStyle}"/> <Grid Grid.Row="1"> <!-- Remove the Legend --> <!--<dataVisTK:Legend x:Name="Legend" Title="{TemplateBinding LegendTitle}" Style="{TemplateBinding LegendStyle}" Grid.Column="1"/>--> <chartingPrimitivesTK:EdgePanel x:Name="ChartArea" Background="#EDAEAE" Style="{TemplateBinding ChartAreaStyle}" Grid.Column="0"> <Grid Canvas.ZIndex="-1" Background="#2008AE" Style="{TemplateBinding PlotAreaStyle}"> </Grid> <Border Canvas.ZIndex="1" BorderBrush="#FF250010" BorderThickness="3" /> <Grid x:Name="gridHandCursors" Canvas.ZIndex="5" Width="32" Height="32" Visibility="Collapsed"> <Image x:Name="cursorGrab" Width="32" Source="Resources/grab.png" /> <Image x:Name="cursorGrabbing" Width="32" Source="Resources/grabbing.png" Visibility="Collapsed"/> </Grid> </chartingPrimitivesTK:EdgePanel> </Grid> </Grid> </Border> and here are the mouse events (in particular, the MouseMove): void TimelineChart_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { chartTimeline.UpdateLayout(); List<FrameworkElement> chartChildren = GetLogicalChildrenBreadthFirst(chartTimeline).ToList(); mChartArea = chartChildren.Where(element => element.Name.Equals("ChartArea")).FirstOrDefault() as Panel; if (mChartArea != null) { grabCursor = chartChildren.Where(element => element.Name.Equals("cursorGrab")).FirstOrDefault() as Image; grabbingCursor = chartChildren.Where(element => element.Name.Equals("cursorGrabbing")).FirstOrDefault() as Image; mGridHandCursors = chartChildren.Where(element => element.Name.Equals("gridHandCursors")).FirstOrDefault() as Grid; mChartArea.Cursor = Cursors.None; mChartArea.MouseMove += new MouseEventHandler(mChartArea_MouseMove); mChartArea.MouseLeftButtonDown += new MouseButtonEventHandler(mChartArea_MouseLeftButtonDown); mChartArea.MouseLeftButtonUp += new MouseButtonEventHandler(mChartArea_MouseLeftButtonUp); if (mGridHandCursors != null) { mChartArea.MouseEnter += (s, e2) => mGridHandCursors.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; mChartArea.MouseLeave += (s, e2) => mGridHandCursors.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; } } } void mChartArea_MouseLeftButtonUp(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { if (grabCursor != null) grabCursor.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; if (grabbingCursor != null) grabbingCursor.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; } void mChartArea_MouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { if (grabCursor != null) grabCursor.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; if (grabbingCursor != null) grabbingCursor.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; } void mChartArea_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { if (mGridHandCursors != null) { Point pt = e.GetPosition(null); mGridHandCursors.SetValue(Canvas.LeftProperty, pt.X); mGridHandCursors.SetValue(Canvas.TopProperty, pt.Y); } } Any help past this roadblock would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, wTs

  • Parallax backgrounds in OpenGL ES on the iPhone

    - by Scott
    I've got basically a 2d game on the iPhone and I'm trying to set up multiple backgrounds that scroll at different speeds (known as parallax backgrounds). So my thought was to just stick the backgrounds BEHIND the foreground using different z-coordinate planes, and just make them bigger than the foreground (in size) to accommodate, so that the whole thing can be scrolled (just at a different speed). And (as far as I know) I basically implemented that. The only problem is that it seems to entirely ignore whatever z-value I give it, or rather it just zeroes all of them. I see the background (I've only tested ONE background so far, to keep it simple...so for now I just have a foreground and I want one background scrolling at a different speed), but it scrolls 1:1 with my foreground, so it obviously doesn't look right, and most of it is cut off (cause it's bigger). And I've tried various z-values for the background and various near/far clipping planes...it's always the same. I'm probably just doing one simple thing wrong, but I can't figure it out. I'm wondering if it has to do with me using only 2 coordinates in glVertexPointer for the foreground? (Of course for the background I AM passing in 3) I'll post some code: This is some initial setup: glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION); glLoadIdentity(); glOrthof(-1.0f, 1.0f, -1.5f, 1.5f, -10.0f, 10.0f); glMatrixMode(GL_MODELVIEW); glLoadIdentity(); glEnableClientState(GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); //glEnableClientState(GL_COLOR_ARRAY); glEnableClientState(GL_TEXTURE_COORD_ARRAY); //transparency glEnable (GL_BLEND); glBlendFunc (GL_ONE, GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); A little bit about my foreground's float array....it's interleaved. For my foreground it goes vertex x, vertex y, texture x, texture y, repeat. This all works just fine. This is my FOREGROUND rendering: glVertexPointer(2, GL_FLOAT, 4*sizeof(GLfloat), texes); <br> glTexCoordPointer(2, GL_FLOAT, 4*sizeof(GLfloat), (GLvoid*)texes + 2*sizeof(GLfloat)); <br> glDrawArrays(GL_TRIANGLES, 0, indexCount / 4); BACKGROUND rendering: Same drill here except this time it goes vertex x, vertex y, vertex z, texture x, texture y, repeat. Note the z value this time. I did make sure the data in this array was correct while debugging (getting the right z values). And again, it shows up...it's just not going far back in the distance like it should. glVertexPointer(3, GL_FLOAT, 5*sizeof(GLfloat), b1Texes); glTexCoordPointer(2, GL_FLOAT, 5*sizeof(GLfloat), (GLvoid*)b1Texes + 3*sizeof(GLfloat)); glDrawArrays(GL_TRIANGLES, 0, b1IndexCount / 5); And to move my camera, I just do a simple glTranslatef(x, y, 0.0f); I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong cause this seems like the most basic 3D function imaginable...things further away are smaller and don't move as fast when the camera moves. Not the case for me. Seems like it should be pretty basic and not even really be affected by my projection and all that (though I've even tried doing glFrustum just for fun, no success). Please help, I feel like it's just one dumb thing. I will post more code if necessary.

  • Scope quandary with namespaces, function templates, and static data

    - by Adrian McCarthy
    This scoping problem seems like the type of C++ quandary that Scott Meyers would have addressed in one of his Effective C++ books. I have a function, Analyze, that does some analysis on a range of data. The function is called from a few places with different types of iterators, so I have made it a template (and thus implemented it in a header file). The function depends on a static table of data, AnalysisTable, that I don't want to expose to the rest of the code. My first approach was to make the table a static const inside Analysis. namespace MyNamespace { template <typename InputIterator> int Analyze(InputIterator begin, InputIterator end) { static const int AnalysisTable[] = { /* data */ }; ... // implementation uses AnalysisTable return result; } } // namespace MyNamespace It appears that the compiler creates a copy of AnalysisTable for each instantiation of Analyze, which is wasteful of space (and, to a small degree, time). So I moved the table outside the function like this: namespace MyNamespace { const int AnalysisTable[] = { /* data */ }; template <typename InputIterator> int Analyze(InputIterator begin, InputIterator end) { ... // implementation uses AnalysisTable return result; } } // namespace MyNamespace There's only one copy of the table now, but it's exposed to the rest of the code. I'd rather keep this implementation detail hidden, so I introduced an unnamed namespace: namespace MyNamespace { namespace { // unnamed to hide AnalysisTable const int AnalysisTable[] = { /* data */ }; } // unnamed namespace template <typename InputIterator> int Analyze(InputIterator begin, InputIterator end) { ... // implementation uses AnalysisTable return result; } } // namespace MyNamespace But now I again have multiple copies of the table, because each compilation unit that includes this header file gets its own. If Analyze weren't a template, I could move all the implementation detail out of the header file. But it is a template, so I seem stuck. My next attempt was to put the table in the implementation file and to make an extern declaration within Analyze. // foo.h ------ namespace MyNamespace { template <typename InputIterator> int Analyze(InputIterator begin, InputIterator end) { extern const int AnalysisTable[]; ... // implementation uses AnalysisTable return result; } } // namespace MyNamespace // foo.cpp ------ #include "foo.h" namespace MyNamespace { const int AnalysisTable[] = { /* data */ }; } This looks like it should work, and--indeed--the compiler is satisfied. The linker, however, complains, "unresolved external symbol AnalysisTable." Drat! (Can someone explain what I'm missing here?) The only thing I could think of was to give the inner namespace a name, declare the table in the header, and provide the actual data in an implementation file: // foo.h ----- namespace MyNamespace { namespace PrivateStuff { extern const int AnalysisTable[]; } // unnamed namespace template <typename InputIterator> int Analyze(InputIterator begin, InputIterator end) { ... // implementation uses PrivateStuff::AnalysisTable return result; } } // namespace MyNamespace // foo.cpp ----- #include "foo.h" namespace MyNamespace { namespace PrivateStuff { const int AnalysisTable[] = { /* data */ }; } } Once again, I have exactly one instance of AnalysisTable (yay!), but other parts of the program can access it (boo!). The inner namespace makes it a little clearer that they shouldn't, but it's still possible. Is it possible to have one instance of the table and to move the table beyond the reach of everything but Analyze?

  • Accessing Python module fails although its package is imported

    - by codethief
    Hey Stackers! :) My Django project's directory hierarchy looks like this: + pybsd |---+ devices |---+ templates |---+ views |---+ interaction |---- __init__.py |---- geraete.py |---- geraetemodelle.py |---- geraetegruppen.py |---- __init__.py |---- ajax.py |---- html.py |---- misc.py |---- __init__.py |---- urls.py |---- __init__.py |---- urls.py (Please excuse the German names. I preferred not to replace them here since it would add yet another possible error source when trying out the solutions you'll hopefully suggest and answering your questions.) Every request to http://URL/devices/.* is dispatched to the urls.py file living in /devices: # ... from views import html, ajax, misc, interaction urlpatterns = patterns('', # ... (r'^ajax/update/(?P<table>[a-z_]+)$', ajax.update), (r'^ajax/delete/(?P<table>[a-z_]+)$', ajax.delete), (r'^ajax/select_options/(?P<table>[a-z_]+)$', ajax.select_options), (r'^interaction/geraete/info/(?P<geraet>\d+)$', interaction.geraete.info), (r'^interaction/geraete/delete/(?P<geraet>\d+)?$', interaction.geraete.delete), (r'^interaction/geraetemodelle/delete/(?P<geraetemodell>\d+)?$', interaction.geraetemodelle.delete), (r'^interaction/geraetegruppen/delete/(?P<geraetegruppe>\d+)?$', interaction.geraetegruppen.delete), # ... ) All URL definitions work except for those referencing the interaction package. I'm constantly getting the following error: File "/home/simon/projekte/pybsd/../pybsd/devices/urls.py", line 33, in `<module>` (r'^interaction/geraete/info/(?P<geraet>\d+)$', interaction.geraete.info), AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'geraete' I double-checked that the __init__.py files don't contain anything. Maybe you've already found the (Python- or Django-related?) mistake I made and am apparently unable to see. If not, read on. In any case, thanks for reading this long post! Isolating the problem 1st test It works if I provide the view functions as strings: (r'^interaction/geraete/info/(?P<geraet>\d+)$', 'devices.views.interaction.geraete.info'), (r'^interaction/geraete/delete/(?P<geraet>\d+)?$', 'devices.views.interaction.geraete.delete'), (r'^interaction/geraetemodelle/delete/(?P<geraetemodell>\d+)?$', 'devices.views.interaction.geraetemodelle.delete'), (r'^interaction/geraetegruppen/delete/(?P<geraetegruppe>\d+)?$', 'devices.views.interaction.geraetegruppen.delete'), ... or add yet another line to the imports: from views.interaction import geraete, geraetemodelle, geraetegruppen Using from views.interaction import *, however, doesn't work either and results in the same error message. 2nd test I created a file test.py in /devices: from views import interaction print dir(interaction) Output: simon@bsd-simon:~/projekte/pybsd/devices$ python test.py ['__builtins__', '__doc__', '__file__', '__name__', '__package__', '__path__'] Again, no sign of the modules I created in the interaction package (geraete.py, geraetemodelle.py, geraetegruppen.py). Unlike in urls.py, trying from view.interaction import geraete, geraetegruppen, geraetemodelle in test.py results in ImportError: No module named view.interaction this time. 3rd test I started the Django shell: $ python manage.py shell >>> import devices.views.interaction.geraete >>> dir(devices.views.interaction.geraete) ['Abteilung', 'Auftrag', 'Auftragsvorlage', 'Geraet', 'Geraetegruppe', 'Geraetemodell', 'HttpResponse', 'HttpResponseBadRequest', 'HttpResponseRedirect', 'Raum', 'Standort', '__builtins__', '__doc__', '__file__', '__name__', '__package__', 'delete', 'info', 'models', 'move', 'render_to_response'] >>> $ python manage.py shell >>> from devices.views.interaction import geraete >>> dir(geraete) ['Abteilung', 'Auftrag', 'Auftragsvorlage', 'Geraet', 'Geraetegruppe', 'Geraetemodell', 'HttpResponse', 'HttpResponseBadRequest', 'HttpResponseRedirect', 'Raum', 'Standort', '__builtins__', '__doc__', '__file__', '__name__', '__package__', 'delete', 'info', 'models', 'move', 'render_to_response'] >>> $ python manage.py shell >>> import devices.views.interaction >>> devices.views.interaction.geraete Traceback (most recent call last): File "<console>", line 1, in <module> AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'geraete' >>> dir(devices.views.interaction) ['__builtins__', '__doc__', '__file__', '__name__', '__package__', '__path__']

  • Both tab & hover triggered popups problem

  • XmlException - inserting attribute gives "unexpected token" exception

    - by Anders Svensson
    Hi, I have an XmlDocument object in C# that I transform, using XslTransform, to html. In the stylesheet I insert an id attribute in a span tag, taking the id from an element in the XmlDocument. Here is the template for the element: <xsl:template match="word"> <span> <xsl:attribute name="id"><xsl:value-of select="@id"></xsl:value-of></xsl:attribute> <xsl:apply-templates/> </span> </xsl:template> But then I want to process the result document as an xhtml document (using the XmlDocument dom). So I'm taking a selected element in the html, creating a range out of it, and try to load the element using XmlLoad(): wordElem.LoadXml(range.htmlText); But this gives me the following exception: "'598' is an unexpected token. The expected token is '"' or '''. Line 1, position 10." And if I move the cursor over the range.htmlText, I see the tags for the element, and the "id" shows without quotes, which confuses me (i.e.SPAN id=598 instead of SPAN id="598"). To confuse the matter further, if I insert a blank space or something like that in the value of the id in the stylesheet, it works fine, i.e.: <span> <xsl:attribute name="id"><xsl:text> </xsl:text> <xsl:value-of select="@id"></xsl:value-of></xsl:attribute> <xsl:apply-templates/> </span> (Notice the whitespace in the xsl:text element). Now if I move the cursor over the range.htmlText, I see an id with quotes as usual in attributes (and as it shows if I open the html file in notepad or something). What is going on here? Why can't I insert an attribute this way and have a result that is acceptable as xhtml for XmlDocument to read? I feel I am missing something fundamental, but all this surprises me, since I do this sort of transformations using xsl:attribute to insert attributes all the time for other types of xsl transformations. Why doesn't XmlDocument accept this value? By the way, it doesn't matter if it is an id attribute. i have tried with the "class" attribute, "style" etc, and also using literal values such as "style" and setting the value to "color:red" and so on. The compiler always complains it is an unvalid token, and does not include quotes for the value unless there is a whitespace or something else in there (linebreaks etc.). I hope I have provided enough information. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Basically, what I want to accomplish is set an id in a span element in html, select a word in a webbrowser control with this document loaded, and get the id attribute out of the selected element. I've accomplished everything, and can actually do what I want, but only if I use regex e.g. to get the attribute value, and I want to be able to use XmlDocument instead to simply get the value out of the attribute directly. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but if so please tell me. Regards, Anders

  • Does this code follow the definition of recursion?

    - by dekz
    Hi All, I have a piece of code which I am doubting it as a implementation of recursion by its definition. My understanding is that the code must call itself, the exact same function. I also question whether writing the code this way adds additional overhead which can be seen with the use of recursion. What are your thoughts? class dhObject { public: dhObject** children; int numChildren; GLdouble linkLength; //ai GLdouble theta; //angle of rot about the z axis GLdouble twist; //about the x axis GLdouble displacement; // displacement from the end point of prev along z GLdouble thetaMax; GLdouble thetaMin; GLdouble thetaInc; GLdouble direction; dhObject(ifstream &fin) { fin >> numChildren >> linkLength >> theta >> twist >> displacement >> thetaMax >> thetaMin; //std::cout << numChildren << std::endl; direction = 1; thetaInc = 1.0; if (numChildren > 0) { children = new dhObject*[numChildren]; for(int i = 0; i < numChildren; ++i) { children[i] = new dhObject(fin); } } } void traverse(void) { glPushMatrix(); //draw move initial and draw transform(); draw(); //draw children for(int i = 0; i < numChildren; ++i) { children[i]->traverse(); } glPopMatrix(); } void update(void) { //Update the animation, if it has finished all animation go backwards if (theta <= thetaMin) { thetaInc = 1.0; } else if (theta >= thetaMax) { thetaInc = -1.0; } theta += thetaInc; //std::cout << thetaMin << " " << theta << " " << thetaMax << std::endl; for(int i = 0; i < numChildren; ++i) { children[i]->update(); } } void draw(void) { glPushMatrix(); glColor3f (0.0f,0.0f,1.0f); glutSolidCube(0.1); glPopMatrix(); } void transform(void) { //Move in the correct way, R, T, T, R glRotatef(theta, 0, 0, 1.0); glTranslatef(0,0,displacement); glTranslatef(linkLength, 0,0); glRotatef(twist, 1.0,0.0,0.0); } };

  • Can someone code review my small SDL app? Want to make sure I didn't make any beginner mistakes

    - by SDLFunTimes
    In an effort to teach myself the SDL library (hence my stack overflow handle :) ) I wanted to try my hand at a side-scroller. My code is complete but I want some feedback (mostly because I have an atrocious amount of if and else statements for what seems like some simple logic). My "program" is a c++ side-scroller where you move a single sprite across the screen. No jumping, bad guys, guns, scores, levels or anything. I wanted to use this as a base to build up upon. So I figured if my base is wrong I could end up with some pretty bad future apps. It's also multi-threaded. Next up on this I would like to make the person sprite animated (so it looks like he's walking rather than sliding) as well as make the person go faster when the arrow buttons are held down longer). The code is kind of long but here's my main method. There's a link at the bottom for the whole program: #include <iostream> #include "SDL.h" #include "game.hpp" using std::cout; using std::endl; const int SCREENW = 200; const int SCREENH = 200; const int BPP = 32; const int FPS = 24; int event_loop(void* stuff); int display_loop(void* stuff); int main(int argc, char** argv) { SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_EVERYTHING | SDL_INIT_EVENTTHREAD); SDL_Thread* events_thurd; SDL_Thread* display_thurd; SDL_Surface* screen = SDL_SetVideoMode(SCREENW, SCREENH, BPP, SDL_SWSURFACE); SDL_EnableKeyRepeat(SDL_DEFAULT_REPEAT_DELAY, SDL_DEFAULT_REPEAT_INTERVAL); SDL_Event event; Game* thug_aim = new Game(&event, screen, SCREENW, SCREENH, BPP); events_thurd = SDL_CreateThread(event_loop, (void*)thug_aim); display_thurd = SDL_CreateThread(display_loop, (void*)thug_aim); SDL_WaitThread(events_thurd, NULL); SDL_KillThread(display_thurd); delete thug_aim; return 0; } int event_loop(void* stuff) { Game* gamez = (Game*)stuff; SDL_Event* event = gamez->get_event(); while(1) { while(SDL_PollEvent(event)) { if(event->type == SDL_QUIT) { return 0; } else if(event->type == SDL_KEYDOWN) { if(event->key.keysym.sym == SDLK_LEFT || event->key.keysym.sym == SDLK_RIGHT) { gamez->move(event->key.keysym.sym); } } else if(event->type == SDL_KEYUP) { if(event->key.keysym.sym == SDLK_LEFT || event->key.keysym.sym == SDLK_RIGHT) { gamez->stop_move(event->key.keysym.sym); } } else { //not an event that concerns this game } } } } int display_loop(void* stuff) { Game* gamez = (Game*)stuff; double period = 1 / FPS * 1000; Uint32 milli_period = (Uint32)period; //get some of the attributes from gamez SDL_Rect* background_rect = gamez->get_background_rect(); SDL_Rect* person_rect = gamez->get_person_rect(); SDL_Surface* screen = gamez->get_screen(); SDL_Surface* background = gamez->get_background(); SDL_Surface* person = gamez->get_person(); Uint32 start, end; int sleep; while(1) { start = SDL_GetTicks(); //blit background SDL_BlitSurface(background, background_rect, screen, NULL); //blit person SDL_BlitSurface(person, NULL, screen, person_rect); end = SDL_GetTicks(); sleep = milli_period - (end - start); if(sleep < 0) { sleep = 0; } SDL_Delay((Uint32)sleep); if(SDL_Flip(gamez->get_screen()) != 0) { cout << "error drawing to screen: " << SDL_GetError() << endl; } } } Here's the link to the .zip file of all my code (please ignore some of the variable names ;-) ): Anyway can you guys take a look and tell me what you think? url edit: holy crap I didn't know 2shared was such a shitty site. Looking for a better uploader than that or rapidshare / mediafire.

  • MouseMotionListener inside JTable

    - by Harish
    I am trying to add MouseMotion event to the label and move it based on the dragging of the mouse and make it move along with my mouse.However the mousemotion is very difficult to control making this action not usable. Here is the code import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Component; import java.awt.event.MouseEvent; import java.awt.event.MouseMotionListener; import javax.swing.BorderFactory; import javax.swing.JFrame; import javax.swing.JLabel; import javax.swing.JScrollPane; import javax.swing.JTable; import javax.swing.SwingConstants; import javax.swing.SwingUtilities; import javax.swing.table.DefaultTableCellRenderer; import javax.swing.table.DefaultTableModel; public class TableTest { public TableTest() { String[] columnNames = { "FileName", "Integer" }; Object[][] data = { { new FileName("AAA.jpg", Color.YELLOW), new Integer(2) }, { new FileName("BBB.png", Color.GREEN), new FileName("BBB.png", Color.GREEN) }, { new FileName("CCC.jpg", Color.RED), new Integer(-1) }, }; DefaultTableModel model = new DefaultTableModel(data, columnNames) { public Class getColumnClass(int column) { System.out.println("column is" + column); return getValueAt(0, column).getClass(); } }; JTable table = new JTable(model); //JTable table = new JTable(data, columnNames); table.setDefaultRenderer(FileName.class, new FileNameCellRenderer()); final JLabel label = new JLabel("TESTING", SwingConstants.CENTER); label.setBackground(java.awt.Color.RED); label.setBounds(450, 100, 90, 20); label.setOpaque(true); label.setVisible(true); label.addMouseMotionListener(new MouseMotionListener() { public void mouseDragged(MouseEvent arg0) { label.setBounds(arg0.getX(), arg0.getY(), 90, 20); } public void mouseMoved(MouseEvent arg0) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } }); table.add(label); JFrame frame = new JFrame(); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); frame.getContentPane().add(table); frame.setSize(800, 600); frame.setLocationRelativeTo(null); frame.setVisible(true); } static class FileNameCellRenderer extends DefaultTableCellRenderer { public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table, Object v, boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row, int column) { super.getTableCellRendererComponent(table, v, isSelected, hasFocus, row, column); FileName fn = (FileName) v; setBorder(BorderFactory.createMatteBorder(0, 60, 0, 0, new java.awt.Color(143, 188, 143))); return this; } } static class FileName { public final Color color; public final String label; FileName(String l, Color c) { this.label = l; this.color = c; } public String toString() { return label; } } public static void main(String[] args) { SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { new TableTest(); } }); } } I just want to make the label follow the label follow my mouse and the label should be attached to the table.Is there an easy way than this.

  • Run unit tests in Jenkins / Hudson in automated fashion from dev to build server

    - by Kevin Donde
    We are currently running a Jenkins (Hudson) CI server to build and package our .net web projects and database projects. Everything is working great but I want to start writing unit tests and then only passing the build if the unit tests pass. We are using the built in msbuild task to build the web project. With the following arguments ... MsBuild Version .NET 4.0 MsBuild Build File ./WebProjectFolder/WebProject.csproj Command Line Arguments ./target:Rebuild /p:Configuration=Release;DeployOnBuild=True;PackageLocation=".\obj\Release\WebProject.zip";PackageAsSingleFile=True We need to run automated tests over our code that run automatically when we build on our machines (post build event possibly) but also run when Jenkins does a build for that project. If you run it like this it doesn't build the unit tests project because the web project doesn't reference the test project. The test project would reference the web project but I'm pretty sure that would be butchering our automated builds as they exist primarily to build and package our deployments. Running these tests should be a step in that automated build and package process. Options ... Create two Jenkins jobs. one to run the tests ... if the tests pass another build is triggered which builds and packages the web project. Put the post build event on the test project. Build the solution instead of the project (make sure the solution contains the required tests) and put post build events on any test projects that would run the nunit console to run the tests. Then use the command line to copy all the required files from each of the bin and content directories into a package. Just build the test project in jenkins instead of the web project in jenkins. The test project would reference the web project (depending on what you're testing) and build it. Problems ... There's two jobs and not one. Two things to debug not one. One to see if the tests passed and one to build and compile the web project. The tests could pass but the build could fail if its something that isn't used by what you're testing ... This requires us to know exactly what goes into the build. Right now msbuild does it all for us. If you have multiple teams working on a project everytime an extra folder is created you have to worry about the possibly brittle command line statements. This seems like a corruption of our main purpose here. The tests should be a step in this process not the overriding most important thing in this process. I'm also not 100% sure that a triggered build is the same as a normal build does it do all the same things as a normal build. Move all the correct files in the same way move them all into the same directories etc. Initial problem. We want to run our tests whenever our main project is built. But adding a post build event to the web project that runs against the test project doesn't work because the web project doesn't reference the test project and won't trigger a build of this project. I could go on ... but that's enough ... We've spent about a week trying to make this work nicely but haven't succeeded. Feel free to edit this if you feel you can get a better response ...

  • Google Maps API v3: Turning user input coordinates to latlng?

    - by Leventhan
    I'm new with Google Maps. I'm trying to turn coordinates a user inputs to move a marker I have on my map to those coordinates. For instance, if the user inputs 50.75, 74.1 the marker will pan to that coordinate. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work. Here's my function: function moveMarker() { var Markerloc = document.getElementById("Markerloc").value; var newLatlng = new google.maps.LatLng(Markerloc); marker.setPosition(newLatLng) } Here's my HTML code: <input type="text" id= "Markerloc" value="Paste your coordinates" /> <input type="button" onclick="moveMarker()" value="Update Marker"> EDIT: I thought that'd fix it, but somehow, it still doesn't work. Here's my code: <script type="text/javascript"> var map; var zoomLevel; function initialize(){ var myLatlng = new google.maps.LatLng(40.65, -74); var myOptions = { zoom: 2, center: myLatlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP, } var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map_canvas'), myOptions); var zoomLevel = map.getZoom(); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: myLatlng, map: map, draggable: true }); // Update current position info. updateMarkerPosition(myLatlng); // Add dragging event listeners. google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'dragstart', function() { updateMarkerAddress('Dragging...'); }); google.maps.event.addListener (map, 'zoom_changed', function() { updateZoomLevel(map.getZoom()); }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'drag', function() { updateMarkerStatus('Dragging...'); updateMarkerPosition(marker.getPosition()); }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'dragend', function() { updateMarkerStatus('Drag ended'); geocodePosition(marker.getPosition()); }); }; var geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder(); function geocodePosition(pos) { geocoder.geocode({ latLng: pos }, function(responses) { if (responses && responses.length > 0) { updateMarkerAddress(responses[0].formatted_address); } else { updateMarkerAddress('Cannot determine address at this location.'); } }); } function updateZoomLevel(zoomLevel){ document.getElementById('zoomLevel').innerHTML = zoomLevel; } function updateMarkerStatus(str) { document.getElementById('markerStatus').innerHTML = str; } function updateMarkerPosition(myLatlng) { document.getElementById('info').innerHTML = [ myLatlng.lat(), myLatlng.lng() ].join(', '); } function updateMarkerAddress(str) { document.getElementById('address').innerHTML = str; } function moveMarker() { var lat = parseFloat(document.getElementById('markerLat').value); var lng = parseFloat(document.getElementById('markerLng').value); var newLatLng = new google.maps.LatLng(lat, lng); marker.setPosition(newLatLng) } google.maps.event.addDomListener(window, 'load', initialize); </script> </head> <body> <div id="map_canvas" style="width: 29%; height: 50%; float: left; position: relative; background-color: rgb(229, 227, 223); overflow: hidden;"></div> <b>Zoom level: </b><div id="zoomLevel"> Scroll mousewheel</div> </div> <input type='text' id='markerLat' value='Target Latitude' /> <input type='text' id='markerLng' value='Target Longitude' /> <input type="button" onclick="moveMarker()" value="Move Marker"> </body> </html>

  • Setting value for autocomplete search field linked to Google Places API

    - by user1653350
    I have a web page where people will be able to enter multiple destinations. When they state they want to enter a new destination, the current field values are stored in arrays. If they choose to go back to a previous destination, the relevant values are reinserted into the form fields. I am using the search field linked to autocomplete as the visible display of the destination. When I attempt to put a value into the linked search field, the value is presented as if it is a placeholder instead of a value. Enter the field and the value is removed by the onFocus() event of the Google Places autocomplete add-in. How can I reinsert the value and have it recognised as a value instead of placeholder. field definition in the form <label for="GoogleDestSrch" class="inputText">Destination: <span id="DestinationDisplay2">1</span> <span class="required"><font size="5"> * </font></span></label> <input id="GoogleDestSrch" type="text" size="50" placeholder="Please enter your destination" /> initialise code for Google Places API listener var input = document.getElementById('GoogleDestSrch'); var autocomplete = new google.maps.places.Autocomplete(input); google.maps.event.addListener(autocomplete, 'place_changed', function() { fillInAddress(); }); attempting to reinsert value into search field when prior destination reloaded form.GoogleDestSrch.value = GoogleDestSrch[index]; Issue With Google Places <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> function GotoDestination(index) { var domove = true; if (index == 0) { index = lastIndex + 1; } else { if (index == -1) { index = lastIndex - 1; if (index == 0) { index = 1; domove = false; } } } if (domove) { if (index != lastIndex) { var doc = window.document; var pdbutton = doc.getElementById("pdbutton"); var pdbutton1 = doc.getElementById("pdbutton1"); if ((index > lastIndex)) { // move to next destination saveDataF(lastIndex); loadDataF(index); lastIndex = index; } else if (index <= lastIndex) { // move to previous destination saveDataF(lastIndex); loadDataF(index); lastIndex = index; } } } } var input; var autocomplete; // fill in the Google metadata when a destination is selected function fillInAddress() { var strFullValue = ''; var strFullGeoValue = ''; var place = autocomplete.getPlace(); document.getElementById("GoogleType").value = place.types[0]; } function saveDataF(index) { var fieldValue; var blankSearch = "Please enter"; // placeholder text for Google Places fieldValue = document.getElementById("GoogleDestSrch").value; if (fieldValue.indexOf(blankSearch) > -1) { fieldValue = ""; } GoogleDestSrch[index] = fieldValue; } function loadDataF(index) { if ((GoogleDestSrch[index] + "") == "undefined") { document.getElementById("GoogleDestSrch").value = ""; } else { document.getElementById("GoogleDestSrch").value = GoogleDestSrch[index]; } } // -- Destination: 1 * Type of place // input = document.getElementById('GoogleDestSrch'); autocomplete = new google.maps.places.Autocomplete(input); google.maps.event.addListener(autocomplete, 'place_changed', function () { fillInAddress(); }); //]]

My Code is: <!doctype html> <html> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8" /> <title>TinySort problem</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://so.volmar.se/www/js/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://so.volmar.se/www/js/jquery.tinysort.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function pktsort(way){ if($("div#paket>ul>li.sortdiv>a#s_abc").text() == "A-S"){ $("div#paket>ul>li.sortdiv>a#s_abc").text("S-A"); $("div#paket ul li.sortable").tsort("",{place:"org",returns:true,order:"desc"}); }else{ $("div#paket>ul>li.sortdiv>a#s_abc").text("A-S"); $("div#paket ul li.sortable").tsort("",{place:"org",returns:true,order:"asc"}); } } </script> </head> <body> <div id="paket" title="Paket"> <ul class="rounded"> <li class="sortdiv">Sort: <a href="#" onclick="pktsort();" class="active_sort" id="s_abc">A-S</a></li> <li class="sortable">Almost Famous</li> <li class="sortable">Children of Men</li> <li class="sortable">Coeurs</li> <li class="sortable">Colossal Youth</li> <li class="sortable">Demonlover</li> <li class="sortable">Femme Fatale</li> <li class="sortable">I'm Not There</li> <li class="sortable">In the City of Sylvia</li> <li class="sortable">Into the Wild</li> <li class="sortable">Je rentre à la maison</li> <li class="sortable">King Kong</li> <li class="sortable">Little Miss Sunshine</li> <li class="sortable">Man on Wire</li> <li class="sortable">Milk</li> <li class="sortable">Monsters Inc.</li> <li class="sortable">My Winnipeg</li> <li class="sortable">Ne touchez pas la hache</li> <li class="sortable">Nói albinói</li> <li class="sortable">Regular Lovers</li> <li class="sortable">Shaun of the Dead</li> <li class="sortable">Silent Light</li> <li class="addmore"><b>This text is not supposed to move</b></li> </ul> </div> </body> </html> you can try it out at: http://www.volmar.se/list-prob.html MY PROBLEM IS: I don't want the <li class="addmore"> to move above all the <li class="sortable">-elements when i press the sort-link. i wan't it to always be in the bottom. you can find documentation of the TinySort plugin here. i've tried loads of combinations with place and returns propertys but i just can't get it right.

  • How to scale rotated objects properly in Actionscript 3?

    - by Tom
    This is unfortunately a quite complex issue to explain, so please don't get discouraged by the wall of text - it's there for a reason. ;) I'm working on a transformation manager for flash, written with Actionscript 3. Users can place objects on the screen, for example a rectangle. This rectangle can then be selected and transformed: move, scale or rotate. Because flash by default rotates around the top left point of the object, and I want it to rotate around the center, I created a wrapper setup for each display object (eg. a rectangle). This is how the wrappers are setup: //the position wrapper makes sure that we do get the top left position when we access x and y var positionWrapper:Sprite = new Sprite(); positionWrapper.x = renderObject.x; positionWrapper.y = renderObject.y; //set the render objects location to center at the rotation wrappers top left renderObject.x = 0 - renderObject.width / 2; renderObject.y = 0 - renderObject.height / 2; //now create a rotation wrapper, at the center of the display object var rotationWrapper:Sprite = new Sprite(); rotationWrapper.x = renderObject.width / 2; rotationWrapper.y = renderObject.height / 2; //put the rotation wrapper inside the position wrapper and the render object inside the rotation wrapper positionWrapper.addChild(rotationWrapper); rotationWrapper.addChild(renderObject); Now, the x and y of the object can be accessed and set directly: mainWrapper.x or mainWrapper.y. The rotation can be set and accessed from the child of this main wrapper: mainWrapper.getChildAt(0).rotation. Finally, the width and height of the display object can be retreived and set by getting the child of the rotation wrapper and accessing the display object directly. An example on how I access them: //get wrappers and render object var positionWrapper:Sprite = currentSelection["render"]; var rotationWrapper:Sprite = positionWrapper.getChildAt(0) as Sprite; var renderObject:DisplayObject = rotationWrapper.getChildAt(0); This works perfectly for all initial transformations: moving, scaling and rotating. However, the problem arises when you first rotate an object (eg. 45 degrees) and then scale it. The scaled object is getting out of shape and doesn't scale as it should. This for example happens when you scale to the left. Scaling left is basically adding n width to the object and then reduce the x coord of the position wrapper by n too: renderObject.width -= diffX; positionWrapper.x += diffX; This works when the object is not rotated. However, when it is, the position wrapper won't be rotated as it is a parent of the rotation wrapper. This will make the position wrapper move left horizontally while the width of the object is increased diagonally. I hope this makes any sense, if not, please tell me and I'll try to elaborate more. Now, to the question: should I use a different kind of setup, system or structure? Should I maybe use matrixes, if so, how would you keep a static width/height after rotation? Or how do I fix my current wrapper system for scaling after rotation? Any help is appreciated.

  • Qt QAbstractButton setDown interferes with grabMouse

    - by edA-qa mort-ora-y
    I have some weird behaviour in Qt that seems like a defect. I'd like to know if anybody has a good workaround. I have a popup widget that contains many buttons in it. The user activates the popup by pressing the mouse button down. The popup widget calls grabMouse when shown. It gets all the mouse events. As it rolls over a button it calls setDown(true) on the button. Now however, when the mouse button is released the popup widget does not get the mouseReleaseEvent, that goes to the button. That is, calling setDown(true) on a button causes the button to steal mouse events, bypassing the grabMouse in the popup widget. I've looked at the source code for setDown but I can't see anything there that would do it directly. I also notice however that sometimes a button gets a hover event, sometimes not. I would assume it would never get those events when the mouse is grabbed. //g++ -o grab_lost grab_lost.cpp -lQtCore -lQtGui -I /usr/include/qt4/ -I /usr/include/qt4/QtCore -I /usr/include/qt4/QtGui /** Demonstrates the defect of losing the mouse. Run the program and: 1. Press mouse anywhere 2. release in purple block (not on X) 3. Release message written (GrabLost receives the mouseReleaseEvent) For defect: 1. Pree mouse anywhere 2. Release inside the X button 3. button is clicked, no release message (GrabLost does not get the mouseReleaseEvent) */ #include <QWidget> #include <QPushButton> #include <QApplication> #include <QMouseEvent> #include <QPainter> class GrabLost : public QWidget { QPushButton * btn; public: GrabLost( QWidget * parent = 0) : QWidget( parent, Qt::Popup ) { btn = new QPushButton( "X", this ); setMouseTracking( true ); } protected: void showEvent( QShowEvent * ev ) { QWidget::showEvent( ev ); grabMouse(); } void closeEvent( QCloseEvent * ev ) { releaseMouse(); QWidget::closeEvent( ev ); } void hideEvent( QHideEvent * ev ) { releaseMouse(); QWidget::hideEvent( ev ); } void mouseReleaseEvent( QMouseEvent * ev ) { qDebug( "mouseRelease" ); close(); } void mouseMoveEvent( QMouseEvent * ev ) { QWidget * w = childAt( ev->pos() ); bool ours = dynamic_cast<QPushButton*>( w ) == btn; btn->setDown( ours ); } void paintEvent( QPaintEvent * ev ) { //just to show where the widget is QPainter pt( this ); pt.setPen( QColor( 0,0,0 ) ); pt.setBrush( QColor( 128,0,128) ); pt.drawRect( 0, 0, size().width(), size().height() ); } }; class GrabMe : public QWidget { protected: void mousePressEvent( QMouseEvent * ev ) { GrabLost * gl = new GrabLost(); gl->resize( 100, 100 ); QPoint at( mapToGlobal( ev->pos() ) ); gl->move( at.x() - 50, at.y() - 50 ); gl->show(); } }; int main( int argc, char** argv ) { QApplication app( argc, argv ); GrabMe * gm = new GrabMe(); gm->move( 100, 100 ); gm->resize( 300, 300 ); gm->show(); app.exec(); return 0; }

  • Slow Javascript touch events on Android

    - by oneself
    I'm trying to write a simple html based drawing application (standalone simplified code attached bellow). I've tested this on the following devices: iPad 1 and 2: Works great ASUS T101 running Windows: Works great Samsung Galaxy Tab: Extremely slow and patchy -- unusable. Lenovo IdeaPad K1: Extremely slow and patchy -- unusable. Asus Transformer Prime: Noticeable lag compare with the iPad -- close to usable. The Asus tablet is running ICS, the other android tablets are running 3.1 and 3.2. I tested using the stock Android browser. I also tried the Android Chrome Beta, but that was even worse. My questions is why are the Android tablets so slow? Am I doing something wrong or is it an inherit problem with Android OS or browser, or is there anything I can do about it in my code? multi.html: <html> <body> <style media="screen"> canvas { border: 1px solid #CCC; } </style> <canvas style="" id="draw" height="450" width="922"></canvas> <script class="jsbin" src="jquery.js"></script> <script src="multi.js"></script> </body> </html> multi.js: var CanvasDrawr = function(options) { // grab canvas element var canvas = document.getElementById(options.id), ctxt = canvas.getContext("2d"); canvas.style.width = '100%' canvas.width = canvas.offsetWidth; canvas.style.width = ''; // set props from options, but the defaults are for the cool kids ctxt.lineWidth = options.size || Math.ceil(Math.random() * 35); ctxt.lineCap = options.lineCap || "round"; ctxt.pX = undefined; ctxt.pY = undefined; var lines = [,,]; var offset = $(canvas).offset(); var eventCount = 0; var self = { // Bind click events init: function() { // Set pX and pY from first click canvas.addEventListener('touchstart', self.preDraw, false); canvas.addEventListener('touchmove', self.draw, false); }, preDraw: function(event) { $.each(event.touches, function(i, touch) { var id = touch.identifier; lines[id] = { x : this.pageX - offset.left, y : this.pageY - offset.top, color : 'black' }; }); event.preventDefault(); }, draw: function(event) { var e = event, hmm = {}; eventCount += 1; $.each(event.touches, function(i, touch) { var id = touch.identifier, moveX = this.pageX - offset.left - lines[id].x, moveY = this.pageY - offset.top - lines[id].y; var ret = self.move(id, moveX, moveY); lines[id].x = ret.x; lines[id].y = ret.y; }); event.preventDefault(); }, move: function(i, changeX, changeY) { ctxt.strokeStyle = lines[i].color; ctxt.beginPath(); ctxt.moveTo(lines[i].x, lines[i].y); ctxt.lineTo(lines[i].x + changeX, lines[i].y + changeY); ctxt.stroke(); ctxt.closePath(); return { x: lines[i].x + changeX, y: lines[i].y + changeY }; }, }; return self.init(); }; $(function(){ var drawr = new CanvasDrawr({ id: "draw", size: 5 }); });

  • jQuery - animating 'left' position of absolutely positioned div when sliding panel is revealed

    - by trickymatt
    Hello, I have a hidden panel off the left side of the screen which slides into view on the click of a 'tab' positioned on the left side of the screen. I need the panel to slide over the top of the existing page content, and I need the tab to move with it. and so both are absolutely positioned in css. Everything works fine, apart from I need the tab (and thus the tab-container) to move left with the panel when it is revealed, so it appears to be stuck to the right-hand-side of the panel. Its relatively simple when using floats, but of course this affects the layout of the existing content, hence absolute positioning. I have tried animating the left position of the panel-container (see the documented jquery function), but I cant get it to work. My HTML <div><!--sample page content--> <p> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et </p> </div> <div id="panel" class="height"> <!--the hidden panel --> <div class="content"> <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore</p> </div> </div> <!--if javascript is disabled use this link--> <div id="tab-container" class="height"> <a href="#" onclick="return()"> <div id="tab"><!-- this will activate the panel. --></div> </a> </div> My jQuery $(document).ready(function(){ $("#panel, .content").hide(); //hides the panel and content from the user $('#tab').toggle(function(){ //adding a toggle function to the #tab $('#panel').stop().animate({width:"400px", opacity:0.8}, 100, //sliding the #panel to 400px // THIS NEXT FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK --> function() { $('#tab-container').animate({left:"400px"} //400px to match the panel width }); function() { $('.content').fadeIn('slow'); //slides the content into view. }); }, function(){ //when the #tab is next cliked $('.content').fadeOut('slow', function() { //fade out the content $('#panel').stop().animate({width:"0", opacity:0.1}, 500); //slide the #panel back to a width of 0 }); }); }); and this is the css #panel { position:absolute; left:0px; top:50px; background-color:#999999; height:500px; display:none;/*hide the panel if Javascript is not running*/ } #panel .content { width:290px; margin-left:30px; } #tab-container{ position:absolute; top:20px; width:50px; height:620px; background:#161616; } #tab { width:50px; height:150px; margin-top:100px; display:block; cursor:pointer; background:#DDD; } Many thanks
