  • Need to find latitude and longitude of postcodes and store into my database

    Hey guys, Ive got a database full of UK Postcodes, now i'd like to be able to store the latitude and longitude of these specific postcodes along with the record with the database. Is there anyway that i can obtain this data free without violating any T&C's? I know i could do this using google maps api for each postcode, but i have way over 20,000 postcodes in this database and to get the lat and lng for each of these postcodes each time is not an option really.     Hey, I was looking at the Google Map API for the first time and I had a quick question. I am woking on an Android application and I was wondering if there is a good way to take a route that I have created using Google Maps (snapping to roads) and use the API display this route on an Android application? I see that there is a way to generate images overlayed with polylines created with coordinates but it seems like it would be tought to create a polyline for something like a curved road. Thanks, Rob

  • http_post_data adding extra characters in response

    Hey Guys I am getting some extra characters like '5ae' and '45c' interspersed along with valid data when using http_post_data. The data I am sending is XML and so is the response. The response contains these weird characters thats making the XML invalid. If I use fsockopen I do not have this issue. Would really like some input on this.

    Hey, I am building a email service based on templates. I thought of using the spark view engine but it seems that It doesn't get much updates anymore. Support on .NET4.0 is not even yet complete and it fails at runtime when used in a console app. The little Intellisense support that was there in VS2008 doesn't seem to work on VS2010 (from the information I have found) Should I avoid it? What do you think?

Is this the "correct" way of doing things or should we be instanciating the utility class as and when we need it?     Hey i'm using JSON with appengine. I'm using json for comunication, so in the python side i have import json the error i'm getting is this: <class 'django.core.exceptions.ViewDoesNotExist'>: Could not import views.ganttapp. Error was: No module named json In my stand alone this works great, is there any problem with json on the app engine? or should I use another module?
