  • UITableView performance difference between Iphone 3G and 3GS ?

    Hey guys, I managed to put my new app on an adhoc distribution but I just noticed that I only have 3GS's ... It is working quite good on the 3GS (could be a bit faster but that's fine) ... but do you think I should test it on the 3G ? I know there has been a lot of improvements between 3G and 3GS but would that infer on my uitableview performance ? Thanks, Gotye.

    Hey i'm using JSON with appengine. I'm using json for comunication, so in the python side i have import json the error i'm getting is this: <class 'django.core.exceptions.ViewDoesNotExist'>: Could not import views.ganttapp. Error was: No module named json In my stand alone this works great, is there any problem with json on the app engine? or should I use another module?     Hey, I'm trying to achieve URLs like this in Rails: http://localhost/posts/1234/post-slug-name with both ID and slug name instead of either http://localhost/posts/1234 or http://localhost/posts/post-slug-name (right now I have just slug name in URL, so this part is over). How can I do this? UPD I found an article on this: http://augustl.heroku.com/blog/styling-rails-urls, instead of /id/slug it suggests to use /id-slug which works perfectly for me, so I'll go with this.

  • Need to find latitude and longitude of postcodes and store into my database

    Hey guys, Ive got a database full of UK Postcodes, now i'd like to be able to store the latitude and longitude of these specific postcodes along with the record with the database. Is there anyway that i can obtain this data free without violating any T&C's? I know i could do this using google maps api for each postcode, but i have way over 20,000 postcodes in this database and to get the lat and lng for each of these postcodes each time is not an option really.     Hey, I am building a email service based on templates. I thought of using the spark view engine but it seems that It doesn't get much updates anymore. Support on .NET4.0 is not even yet complete and it fails at runtime when used in a console app. The little Intellisense support that was there in VS2008 doesn't seem to work on VS2010 (from the information I have found) Should I avoid it? What do you think?

    Hey guys I get this error on my wordpress blog hosted on my server each time i search for plugins or try to upgrade wordpress and on the dashboard. I have tried changing the timeout from 5 to 30 in the http.php file in wp-includes. This did NOT help. My blog works perfectly fine. This problem is really annoying as I have to manuall copy plugins and themes and upgrades.

    Hey guys. I am writing an App using JTwitter however I need to authenticate in order to not have the 150 requests per minute on the public api. Jtwitter seems to support OAuth however I have some questions. My app will be running behind a company firewall - so the URL wont be accessible outside of the company's network - will callback authorisation work, and does anybody have an example of using callback authorisation using OAuth in JTwitter - because I cannot work it out in order to try it.     Hey Guys I am getting some extra characters like '5ae' and '45c' interspersed along with valid data when using http_post_data. The data I am sending is XML and so is the response. The response contains these weird characters thats making the XML invalid. If I use fsockopen I do not have this issue. Would really like some input on this.
