  • AJAX call works on local machine, not on host

    hey everyone, What could potentially stop an AJAX call from working on the host server, when it works fine on the local host? I tried returning an error from the AJAX call, but all I get is 'undefined'. I don't think the actual page method is being called since no information is added in my log (and I've explicitly added a call). I can't reproduce the problem on my local machine, so does anyone know possible areas I should look into? Thanks

  • Is there any reason why we don't use subclasses of UIImageView ?

    Hey everyone, I am currently trying to create a subclass of UIImageView in order to make it download its image from server asynchronously ;) I tried to do it by myself but I haven't gone very far yet :D Anyway, I looked around here and found this : AsyncImageDownload I had a look at the code and the first which springs to mind is : why subclassing a UIView and not a UIImageView ?!?     Hey everyone, Where can I find a list of transitions for bringing a new Viewcontroller onto the stack. My line of code is: [peoplePicker pushViewController:myDetail transition:6]; after selecting a contact. Where can I find a list of transitions, and why does "6" work correctly? Also I get a warning with this code saying it may not respond to transition, even though it produces the transition correctly. What is the proper way to do these animations? Thanks,

    Hey, if I try to connect to a Terracotta server that is currently down by calling net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager.create();, EHCache keeps retrying connection attempts for a full 300 seconds before throwing an exception with this message: Could not fetch configuration data from the server at 'terracottahost:9510'. Fetch attempt duration: 300 seconds. Is there any way to modify this time to be maybe 30 or 60 seconds? Thank you!

I am woking on an Android application and I was wondering if there is a good way to take a route that I have created using Google Maps (snapping to roads) and use the API display this route on an Android application? It is working quite good on the 3GS (could be a bit faster but that's fine) ... but do you think I should test it on the 3G ?
