  • Jquery / PhP / Joomla Select one of two comboboxes does not get updated

    I am making a Joomla component wich has 3 comboboxes/selects on the page. One with languages and 2 with subjects. If you change the language the other two get filled with the same data (the subjects in the selected language) the name of the selectbox are different but otherwise the same. I get an error for one of the subject boxes (hence the url gets red), but there is no logic in wich one will give an error. In Firebug i get the HTML back for the one without the other and this one gets updated but the other one gives nothing back. If i right click in firebug on the one that gave the error, and do "send again" it will load fine. Is their a timing problem? The only place where there are problems with select boxes is on the pages that has 2 selects that need to change when a third one changed. My guess it is somewhere in the Jquery where this goes wrong. And i think it has to do with timing. But i am open for all sugestions. Thanx. UPDATE: No the ID and Name fields are different.   • Can I edit the snapshots of websites on most visited sites page in Chrome?

    I saw the previous chain of discussion, but did not find a way to continue the thread - I have found the "Preference" (I have Windows 7), but in that, I did not find clearly what to modify. I did find a section called 'URLs pinned" or something like this, but it did NOT match fully the ones I have. I have activated the 'profile sync' for Chrome - don't know if it has any effect. Can you manually edit the icons of the most visited sites, for the new tab page in Chrome? When you open a new tab in Chrome, I get the 'new page' tab, where I selected the 'most popular', so I have 8 icons with the 8 most popular sites I visited; I can also pin any one of those I see on screen, such that they remain 'permanent' there. We are missing one which would point to, say, "hotmail". So, I was looking for a way to add 'hotmail' to be one of the 8. (and, by the way, we ticked the 'X' on one of those 8, and now it remains grey / shows nothing in it). So, my double-question: How can I add a URL of my choice into one of those 8 spaces? How can I restore usage of the last one?

  • Calling one DAO from another DAO?

    Can this ever make sense? Say I need to fetch an object from the DB which has a relation to another object (represented by a foreign key in the DB, and by a composition in my domain object). If in my first DAO I fetch the data for object 1, then call the dao for object 2, and finally (from within the first DAO, call the setter in object 1 and give it the previously fetched object 2). I know I could do a join instead, but it just seems more logical to me to decouple the functionality (which is why I am skeptical about calling one dao from another). Or should I move some of the logic to the service layer?     I am using ASP.NET MVC 2 and C# with Entity Framework 4.0 to code against a normalised SQL Server database. A part of my database structure contains a table of entries with foreign keys relating to sub-tables containing drivers, cars, engines, chassis etc. I am following the Nerd Dinner tutorial which sets up a repository for dinners which is fair enough. Do I do one for drivers, one for engines, one for cars and so on or do I do one big one for entries? Which is the best practise for this type of work? I am still new to this method of coding.

Should i not get back sample response nr3? Can somebody explain this to me?     Hello, I have several forms that are localized to multiple languages. If I do a change on one form (for example, changing the size of a textbox) the change is done only on the localized version of the Form that I have currently selected. Is there a way of extending the change I've done the different localized versions of the same Form to avoid having to go one by one doing the same change by hand? Thanks in advance for your help. EDIT: I'm talking about different forms when the real thign is that you have one form and several resources. The point is that at the end is just like if you have different forms for each locale because the form is built with the data from the resource. The problem is still the same because the edits done on the form are stored at one resource file and I have to put by hand those edits in all the resources.

  • Regular expression to match one of two video ID's in a Google Video URL

    I need to grab the video ID from a Google Video URL. There are two different types of URLs that I need to be able to match: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3498228245415745977# where I need to be able to match -3498228245415745977 (note the dash; -), and video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3498228245415745977#docid=2728972720932273543 where I need to match 2728972720932273543. Is there any good regular expression that can match this? This is what I've got so far: @"docid=(-?\d{19}+)" since the video ID seems to be 19 characters except when it's prefixed with the dash. I'm using C# (of which I have very little experience) if that changes anything. P.s. I would also appreciate you review my regular expressions for YouTube (@"[\?&]v=([^&#])";), RedTube (@"/(\d{1,6})") and Vimeo (@"/(\d*)"). I do not expect users to enter the full URL and thus do not match the ^http://\\.?sitename+\\.\\w{2,3}.

    Hello! I use apache 4 java libs for http get connections. I get all cookies from 2 other pages. But one other webpage contains google analytics cookies(utma,utmz...) and classic session id cookie (checked with firebug). When i try to get the cookies i only get sesson id cookie. Is there any trick to get all the cookies from java in connection with google analytics? If i want to make a http post, it seems that i have to send google analytics cookies too. I can copy my code if somebody wants, but it works on other pages(for printing cookies). Thank you

    I'm currently developing an application that will launch a navigation intent. I know that this isn't an official API, but it works perfectly the way I want it to. I allow the user to select driving, walking, and bus navigation to a location. The intent to launch directly into Google Maps Navigation looks like this: google.navigation:ll= + a latitude and longitude, then + &mode= then your mode of transportation. For example, to navigate using walking directions to a certain area: google.navigation:ll=blah,blah&mode=w Driving is default, or &mode=d, and biking is &mode=b, but I can't figure out bus (public transit). Has anyone done this before? Thanks! Edit: So far, I've found that mode=public gives bike directions, mode=transit gives driving, frustratingly, mode=bus also returns bike directions.

The scenario is: A webpage will contain a menu with menu items that are actually different pages of a PDF file. After clicking a menu item, that particular page from the pdf will be displayed on that same web page This project is targeted for mobile devices (iPad, for now) Now, I am using an iFrame like below: But I don't know if linking to a specific page is possible or Google would like that because I tried the solutions posted on how to open specific page on Google's docs viewer and http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2009/11/link-to-page-in-googles-document-viewer.html but all of them seem to be outdated.     I am trying to figure out how FRIEND_TEST works in Google Tests. http://code.google.com/p/googletest/wiki/AdvancedGuide#Private_Class_Members I am looking at the following item, trying to implement it in my code: // foo.h #include "gtest/gtest_prod.h" // Defines FRIEND_TEST. class Foo { ... private: FRIEND_TEST(FooTest, BarReturnsZeroOnNull); int Bar(void* x); }; // foo_test.cc ... TEST(FooTest, BarReturnsZeroOnNull) { Foo foo; EXPECT_EQ(0, foo.Bar(NULL)); // Uses Foo's private member Bar(). } In the code above, the piece that I can't see, is that foo_test.cc must include foo.h, in order to have access to Foo and Bar(). [Perhaps it works differently for Google ? in my code, I must include it] That will result in circular dependency... Am I missing something ?

  • Postfix Bounced Emails With Google Apps

    So our company uses Google Apps to handle our accounts for our employees. Meaning something like [email protected] would go to Google Apps. We also use postfix on our server to send out our news letter emails to our users. We've setup our emails to have a unique return-path which is basically [email protected] problem is that when postfix gets a bounce during the SMTP connection, it actually sends out the email to Google Apps. Is there anyway that we can setup Postfix to not send to [email protected] and instead pipe that message to a script which we can grab the original message and log the bounced address? I realize this only partially works as some emails may send correctly from postfix and then bounce down the road somewhere, but this should help us out with a good portion of our bounces. For a start, in main.cf we have recipient_delimiter = + and in master.cf we have bouncehandler unix - n n - - pipe user=nobody argv=/path/to/bounce_handler.php ${recipient} Not really sure where to go from here though.
