• How to make my WPF application as FAST as Outlook

  The commons WPF applications take some time for loading medium complex views, once the view is loaded it works fine. For example in a Master - Detail view, if the Detail view is very complex and use different DataTemplates take some seconds (2-3 seconds) for load the view. When i open the Outlook application, for instance, it renders complex views and it is relative much more fast. Is there a way for increase the performance of my WPF application? Maybe a way for not loading the template's data every time that change the "master" item, and load it only one time in the app time live? i will appreciate any suggestion.

Route::get('bulk',array('uses'=>'HomeController@bulk'))->before('auth'); In my view Iam testing it by ... @if(Session::has('message')) Present @else not Present @endif The page is making a view with the message 'not Present' why is it?? I even tried return Redirect::to('bulk')->with('message','hii there'); I get an erro mesage on Console mypro/public/bulk net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS What could be the problem?? is there any issues with name?? • JSF 2 Content Controller (pull in content based on URI)

  Hey All, I'm new to JSF and am trying to make a content controller. Basically whenever someone makes a request to www.myapp.com/external/** I'd like to forward to a controller that pulls external content into a page template and spits it out to the user. I was able to achive this pretty easily in Spring 3, but I'm a little confused on where to start with JSF. I feel like I'd need to create a custom servlet to handle /external/**? But what would the class of this servlet be? What would it consist of? Any help is appreciated!

• Handling dynamic number of columns

  I'm developing a CMS of sorts, and I want to give my users the possibility of customizing the display. More precisely, I want to give them the ability to choose to display or hide the left column, the right column and/or the top div. The middle column cannot be hidden since this is where the actual content will show, whereas the other columns are for navigation or side menus. I've been looking for a way to make this as smart and flexible as possible. For now I'm using a MasterPage, but that seems to be too constraining. For instance, with MasterPage you need to add a ContentPlaceHolder control in every of your ASPX pages. What are the best practices in this area? I guess a simpler way of saying this would be "I want to create a template system over which I have complete control".

  It is easy given a container to get the associated iterators, example: std::vector<double>::iterator i; //An iterator to a std::vector<double> I was wondering if it is possible, given an iterator type, to deduce the type of the "corresponding container" (here I am assuming that for each container there is one and only one (non-const) iterator). More precisely, I would like a template metafunction that works with all STL containers (without having to specialize it manually for each single container) such that, for example: ContainerOf< std::vector<double>::iterator >::type evaluates to std::vector<double> Is it possible?   Just a quick syntax question. I'm writing a map class (for school). If I define the following operator overload: template<typename Key, typename Val> class Map {... Val* operator[](Key k); What happens when a user writes: Map<int,int> myMap; map[10] = 3; Doing something like that will only overwrite a temporary copy of the [null] pointer at Key k. Is it even possible to do: map[10] = 3; printf("%i\n", map[10]); with the same operator overload?

  hi, I've installed Taxonomy SuperSelect module in my Drupal. Now my customer can not only type the tag for some content types pages but also select multiple tags using checkboxes. I've also ordered the chekboxes alphabetically. • Single C++/CLI method to wrap many type specific C functions

  I am wrapping a C library using C++/CLI so that the C library can be used easily from C# in a C#'ish way. Some of the functions in this library are for putting a value into a container. There are no generics in C so there exists a function per type CLIB_SetBool(BOOL value), CLIB_SetInt(int value), CLIB_SetString(char* string) and so on. To make it easier to use from C#, I have created a single Set function which takes a System::Object. I have two related questions: With my method how would you use a switch statement on the type of System::Object to call the correct CLIB_Setxxxx function. [typeid is only for unmanaged code and I can't seem to use GetType.] Is there a better way to wrap these functions like using a Generic? [I started using template specialisation but then realised that C# doesn't see templates.] Thanks.

I mean what exactly happens? and how is a call made to the operator() in class fobj ?

• Custom DDL Templates for Visual Studio 2010

  I was wondering if anyone knows of some good community distributed custom DDL templates for Entity Framework 4.0. The default DDL to SQL10 Works well enough, but we're looking to do some customization to the naming convention that it just isn't offering us. I'm not really finding many samples out there of people doing this, so I was hoping someone might know of a resource I'm overlooking (perhaps I am searching for it wrong, or misunderstanding how the whole process works) Specifically we're wanting to change up how it writes out fields from relationships. For instance, the default template puts in.. tablename_propertyendpoint_propertyname. We're wanting to find tune this to our naming scheme a little more. And none of us can quite figure out where in the .tt files it is doing this exact behavior.

  I want to use Python to make a configuration file generator. My roughly idea is feeding input with template files and some XML files with the real settings. Then use the program to generate the real configuration files. I got several questions: Is there any open source configuration generator program? (what could be the keyword), I wonder if there's anything can be added/modified in the design. Does Python have good XML parser module? Is it good idea to use XML file to save the original settings? I've been thinking to use Excel since it's more intuitive to maintain, but harder for program to parse. Not sure how people deal with this. Hope the community can give me some suggestions.   im testing symfony form validation. the problem is very simple. no matter what i put in the body text area and post it, i keep getting "Required" back. i dont know why. i just have one validation rule. here is the code: code what is wrong/how can i debug? thanks UPDATE: it has something to do with the binding in the controller. cause even if i delete the validation the form will still not be valid and it will be passed to the template but this time without the "Required". so it wont be valid no matter if ive got the validation or not. it has something to do with the embedForm() maybe? someone that has validated an embeded form?

• XSLT ... I can'f find a (working) find minimum value in XML and set variable

  I've search for hours and not found an example that allows for the very first position to be the lowest. I'm getting 'False' instead of the value returned .... EDIT: Oddly enough if I run a 2nd instance as MAX_Landed with ascending it returns a value just fine. If I switch the order in the XSLT the first instance will return 'False' and the 2nd will work.   I want to list the number of items for each list. How can I find this number in a single query, rather than a query for each list? Is it possible to make a single query here?

• MS Access Crashed an now all Form objects and code modules are missing

  I was adding a form to our Access 07 db. I copied an existing form to use as a template, renamed it, and saved it. I opened a different form to check something and Access crashed. When I reopened the database it says: "Access has detected that this database is in an inconsistent state, and will attempt to recover the database." etc. When it reopened - all forms and reports were missing. Saved queries remain. The error message states that object recovery failures will be noted in a Recovery Errors table - but this table wasn't created. The links to the be database remained intact. The database is split - I was experimenting with a form on a front-end copy which might have something to do with it. Any ideas what would cause this (I can see loosing recent work - but nixing all form objects?!) And is there any chance of recovery?

How does it know?

  I basically have a div on my Web Site that always has the same stuff. However, this div is not present on all pages which is why I won't use the dynamic web template. I was wondering if it was possible for PHP to get the code from a document on the server and put in into the div? Ex: div id="section... then my text file contains (p) hello (p) basically I want PHP to put it into the div when the user sees it. If theres a smarter way of acheiving this I'd be open to it aswell. • How do you insert new entries into an Access db table through an ASP.net website?

  I need to insert new records into an Access database. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and firstly create a asp.net website. I can connect to the information in Access databse using dataview or gridview and can query a particular entry (ie. Proposal No. -brings up all details linking to that proposal). I can then edit the details of that proposal and this would update the Access Db. What I need to do is to have a form that simply enters new details for a new customer. ie. Enter name [__] Enter Adress[__]. Then for this to update the database. By using the gridview or dataview I am able to view all fields that exist in the table and edit them. Is there a way that I can get a blank gridview/dataview template (which includes all the fields in the table) and fill it out to then update the database? Thanks

  I have multiple templates which differs with each other only by few containers. The most complex one contains superset of all containers used in all other one thus to avoid creating multiple templates I created the most complex one in following format some layout stuff (div and all) defining nested insert for each container and content. Now in client template based on what is needed I turn off container which is not needed as else if container is needed, just define content as doSomething Please let me know if you guys see any issues with this approach, any potential problem or alternate approach for similar scenario. thanks a lot.
