• Windows recording in Vista

  I want to record the sound that's coming from my applications in Windows Vista. The problem seems to be that Vista seems to only recognize the microphone as input device. Is there any reason for this? I went to Control Panel Sound and I can only see the microphone as recording device. Im using a TX2000 HP laptop. Thanks

  I'm looking to play my .mkv files via Windows Media Center - I've got it almost working. They show up on the menu, they play video fine, but the audio is mute. Strangely, if I play the .mkv file via Media Player - the video & audio are fine. Any ideas?

Everything has been installed smoothly but after the installation in the login screen username is coming and when I try to enter password it is not taking any input, keyboard is not working at all.   Windows 7 keeps asking for a password every time I mount a webdav. I don't want to store a password in a .bat file because it's so insecure. Is there any way to force system store it? Manually adding credentials in user manager helps storing passwords for SMB shares but for webdav doesn't. btw, as far as I remember, Vista had the same problems.
