  • is it possible to tell if DOM was modified, and which part?

    Are there any practical ways to tell what part of the DOM was modified if you know that it will be modified? I am writing a plugin that will be running along with javascript that i did not write. an event will be triggered before DOM is modified, and one event will be triggered after the modification. It is my job to decide what was changed. is this possible, and if so what is the least horrible way to do this?

    We forked an editor for upcoming release of our CMS. See: http://tinyurl.com/ylbtns2 The editor uses the css of the current template and loads an additional fix.css (inside the iframe) to override some rules: * { background-image: none !important; min-height: 0px !important; } #breadcrumbs, #content .sidebar, #footer, #header, #search_form { display: none; } #content { margin: 0px; width: 100%; } The problem: on first load the "min-height: 0px !important;" seems not to work - on second load the height of the editor iframe is 100px like it should be. Other rules like no background (fix.css) are working on first load and get overridden.

  • Get path of inserted usb in dbus

    Hello, I'm writing a program in python using dbus that detects inserted usb drives and manipulates the files inside of them. However, I can't seem to retrieve the path on my system of an inserted usb. Is there someway that I can get the path of an inserted usb in dbus, perhaps by using the GetProperty() method? I have tried using GetProperty("block.device"), but that returns /dev/sdc1 which doesn't exist on my system. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Create UML diagrams after or before coding?

    I can clearly see the benefits of having UML diagrams showing your infrastructure of the application (class names, their members, how they communicate with each other etc). I'm starting a new project right now and have already structured the database (with visual paradigm). I want to use some design patterns to guide me how to code the classes. I wonder, should I code the classes first before I create UML diagram of it (maybe out of the code... seems possible) or should I first create UML diagram and then code (or generate code from the UML, seems possible that too). What are you experiences telling you is the best way?

    I was wondering if anyone knows of rubyzip alternatives for Ruby, that can handle various formats in particular zip / rar / 7z? I know of libarchive, but it's not complete for my purposes ( it's a good gem thou). (To clarify, libarchive - won't work for me - cause I need to be able to run in on Windows. ( Yeah I know sucks to be me)) Right now I end up running system commands to the os, but I'd like something OS independent, and capable of handling those formats - reading and writing. Thank you

I'm currently exporting a database table with huge data (100000+ records) into an xml file using XmlTextWriter class and I'm writing directly to a file on the physical drive. _XmlTextWriterObject = new XmlTextWriter(_xmlFilePath, null); While my code runs ok, my question is that is it the best approach? Or should I write the whole xml in memory stream first and then write the xml document in physical file from memory stream? And what are the effects on memory/ performance in both cases?

    Hi, Is there any convenient way to type in braces in Math in Latex? Especially when I have already typed in a lot of "(" and ")" instead of "\left(" and "\right)", how can I do a quick replacement? similarly for "{" and "}" and "[" and "]"?     Just curious as to why Dictionary is not supported by XmlSerializer? You can get around it easily enough by using DataContractSerializer and writing the object to a XmlTextWriter, but what are the characteristics of a Dictionary that makes it difficult for a XmlSerializer to deal with considering it's really an array of KeyValuePairs. In fact, you can pass an IDictionary<TKey, TItem> to a method expecting an IEnumerable<KeyValuePairs<TKey, ITem>>.

I use sqlite to gather data and want to use grid in wxHASKELL TO present data in app. Everything is all right but I want to have possibility to add rows from haskell app. I achieved that but when I refresh it It expands and covers other controls.     Is there a way (without buffering the whole Inputstream) to take the HttpServletRequest from a Java Servlet and write it out to a file using all NIO? Is it even worth trying? Will it be any faster reading from a normal java.io stream and writing to a java.nio Channel or do they both really need to be pure NIO to see a benefit? Thanks.
