  • Facebook Open Graph under a constrained application

    Hello For an embedded system with internet (which works under a set-top box) I want to develop a primitive Facebook interface where users can type their user-names and password, showing their latest notificationsa, messages and other casual stuff via the recent Facebook Graph API. This middleware program uses Java ME to run programs (such as this simple facebook app) and it can connect to internet however it doesn't have a real web browser. Under this circumstance, is it possible to achieve such Facebook application? If you think so, what approach would you suggest ? Thanks

  • sql 2008 express connection problems

    Hi, I've just installed a fresh copy of SQL 2008 Express. before I did anything I opened Management Studio and successfully connected using Window Authentication. However I tried to run the following on the command line "telnet localhost 1433" and got the error "Could not open connection to the host, on port 1433: Connect failed" I checked netstat and there is nothing listening on port 1433. Before I go any further, is there a problem with the install? thanks, Shane

    Hi, I need to validate a date in a web forms application. For this I use a CompareValidator with Operator="DataTypeCheck" Type="Date" The problem is that this Validator doesn't work properly on Firefox with 2 digit years. ( javascript error: m[2] is undefined) With a 4 digits year it's working properly.     Hi everyone, I am new in php with oracle. Trying to connect with oracle by php. But have no success. I have installed xammp since i had to work with mysql. And now i have to use oracle 9i (9.2.0.6). Now if i use -- oci_connect(username, password, servicename) -- It says undefined function oci_connect(); Can any one tell how to configure xammpp for oracle? Thanks in advance

I had SQL Server 2005 on Windows XP 32bit and just used this connection string Server=.\SQLEXPRESS;database=GroupALD; Integrated Security=True" Now I have Windows 7 64bit and SQL Server 2008 R2 I'm trying to connect database with same string but its shows this error Cannot open database "GroupALD" requested by the login.   • remove schema from linq datacontexts

    When I add stored procedures to a linq datacontext, by default visual studio prefixes the stored procedure with the sql schema that it is in. Is there any way to stop this? In our environment, the stored procedures may be moved to other schemas over time, and we will default the schema based on the sql user used to connect. Do I have to do this manually or can I somehow turn off the schema prefixes?

    If I load the following URL in Firefox and login to Facebook, I'm getting a page displaying "An invalid next or cancel parameter was specified." https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=c8caf78d724d142ee82334131ef5c9ce&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&type=user_agent&display=touch&scope=offline_access,publish_stream But if I change the display parameter to display=page I no longer get this error. Any ideas as to why?

  • Embedded Windows Media Player background image

    Hi all, I'm loading an external video stream in my embedded player. Since it takes a little while to connect and preload you see a black background for +- 7 secs untill video plays . I would like to know if its possible to have a background image saying 'Stand by loading video' with my logo on it before the video starts to play. Only thing i could find was bgcolor parameter but that's not what I want. I hope someone can help me thanks!!

  • Proper way to resignFirstResponder when a UITableView is touched?

    Hello all, I have a pretty simple UITableView who's cells contain UITextFields and I need to be able to call resignFirstResponder to hide the keyboard whenever a user touches the UITableView outside of one of the cells. I have read this question/answer but it seems like a very rudimentary way to achieve this. I have read about a way to do it by converting the UITableView to a UIControl so that you can connect the TouchDown event. Does anybody know the standard or preferred way to achieve this functionality?

    Basically I'm trying to proxy some webservices locally (for reasons I won't go into now) and then have a Java application call it. I'm looking at BlazeDS since it seems to do just this, mostly to avoid the crossDomain.xml file required by Flex to call webservices. However I can't seem to find any reference on how to connect through a Java client (probably using Axis2). Any suggestions, and especially tutorials, would be greatly appreciated.

My problem is that I can't stop the reactor, for example: cmd = raw_input("Command: ") # custom factory, the protocol just send a line reactor.connectTCP(HOST,PORT, CommandClientFactory(cmd) d = defer.Deferred() d.addCallback(lambda x: reactor.stop()) reactor.callWhenRunning(d.callback,None) reactor.run() In this code the reactor stops before that the tcp connection is done and the cmd is passed. How can I stop the reactor after that all the operation are finished?
