  • Openvpn plugin openvpn-auth-ldap does not bind to Active Directory

    I'm trying to configure OpenVPN with openvpn-auth-ldap plugin to authorize users via Active Directory LDAP.     Problem and about the database: Data from a record in Access 2003 database has disappeared. This database has 1 backend and 3 frontends, multiple users and is hosted on Citrix. Within this database, we have records of all clients served, ranging in the 1000s. Background info: The form for client data entry is set up with various subforms, including both a "programs enrolled" subform and a "services" subform. A client can be enrolled in multiple programs. Once enrolled in a program, services can be entered for that program area using the services subform. There are multiple fields in the services subform, one of which is a drop-down field allowing you to choose from the programs a client has been enrolled in (the list is updated for that client whenever he is enrolled in a new program). The problem details: For one specific record and one specific program area, the program has disappeared from the "programs enrolled" subform and all of the related services have disappeared from the "services" subform for a period of 3 months of data entry. However, other programs and services for this record did not disappear. Questions: Is the disappearance of data a common Access 2003 problem? Are there tests in place that can be run to see if data is disappearing and catch that data? If so, what are they? If there is specific code involved, what is it? What can be done to prevent the disappearing of data (other than using a different database)?

Any source code, reference samples would be great. Found one on codeplex for swedish TV channels, but right now it's not working for some reason... I am building a Silverlight 4 desktop client to show streaming video from a site that is login based. So that website has a Silverlight player that does streaming video, the player is behind a login sesion, so just by getting the url from fiddler and trying to play it in my Silverlight 4 desktop client won't work. Actually after that, I want to build a Windows Media Center plugin to build a Netflix-like client, that allows login through WMC and then allows you to watch streaming video. Any pointers on how to go about doing any of this?

    In extension of this question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1580750/example-code-of-libssh2-being-used-for-port-forwarding I was wondering if there's an "easier" way to connect to the locally binded addr:port. From the link: you bind a remote port and list it locally, you accept incoming data from the port and send it to another socket (namely the local addr:port), after which I'd like to connect to the local addr:port. Is there a way to skip the "send it to another" step and direct the data directly for my "connect to localhost" ? There are two parts to why I want this, first, it seems excessive, and in the spirit of piping, I wouldn't be surprised if it was possible. Second, since I'm trying to connect to a localhost'ed bound port forward, all code is in the same thread, making a continiously getting data-sending data, and polling the sending data from another socket, a bit tricky.     Hi, I have a strange issue (at least for me :)) with the MySQL's locking facility. I have a table: Create Table: CREATE TABLE test ( id int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, PRIMARY KEY (id) ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=13 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 With this data: +----+ | id | +----+ | 3 | | 4 | | 5 | | 6 | | 7 | | 8 | | 10 | | 11 | | 12 | +----+ Now I have 2 clients with these commands executed at the beginning: set autocommit=0; set session transaction isolation level serializable; begin; Now the most interesting part. The first client executes this query: (makes an intent to insert a row with id equal to 9) SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) Then the second client does the same: SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) My question is: Why the second client does not block ? An exclusive gap lock should have been set by the first query because FOR UPDATE have been used and the second client should block. If I am wrong, could somebody tell me how to do it correctly ? Most Web servers allow users to set the HTTP Keep Alive timeout value through some configuration. My understanding is (maybe incorrect): The Web server uses the default timeout on the underlying TCP socket (i.e. indefinite) and creates Worker thread that counts down the specified HTTP timeout interval. When the Worker thread hits zero, it closes the connection.

  • Android HttpClient and HTTPS

    Hi all, I'm new to implementing HTTPS connections in Android. Essentially, I'm trying to connect to a server using the org.apache.http.client.HttpClient. I believe, at some point, I'll need to access the application's keystore in order to authorize my client with a private key. But, for the moment, I'm just trying to connect and see what happens; I keep getting an HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request error. I can't seem to make heads or tails of this despite many examples (none of them seem to work for me). My code looks like this (the BODY constant is XmlRPC): private void connect() throws IOException, URISyntaxException{ HttpPost post = new HttpPost(new URI(PROD_URL)); HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); post.setEntity(new StringEntity(BODY)); HttpResponse result = client.execute(post); Log.d("MainActivity", result.getStatusLine().toString()); } So, pretty simple.   • SubmitChanges doesn't save but removes inserts from change set, no errors

    Hi Everybody, I have a deeper question regarding debug functionality of Linq to Sql SubmitChanges() Function. I want to save a record in a table of a locally cached db (localdbcache: server SqlExpress 2008 client SqlCE). Before calling SubmitChanges I can find the new item via DataContext.GetChangeSet(). After calling Submit Changes, the items to insert have been removed from the ChangeSet. (That's what this function is supposed to do.) There are no Changes Conflicts and no error in the db's log output. No Exception at all.     I have spent a while playing with node.js and exploring related frameworks such as express and geddy... and I am very impressed, especially with the WebSockets implementation in socket.io. I have a pet project that is an online game, the entire game engine is written in C# and I would like to know if there is anyway I can call the functions of this existing dll from a solution built using node.js, socket.io, express etc? The game engine itself is pretty complete; tested and robust. I am hoping there is some neat way of exposing its functionality without to much overhead. Thanks

Please help me.... where am I going wrong?

  • Running a small IPTV station

    I'm looking to run an iptv station for my dorm. I know I can serve multicast so that's not a problem. The station will serve out podcasts and other cc licensed content. The target endpoint is xbmc- a media center. So far I know that I need to serve an rtp stream over udp that's streaming an mpeg-4 avc main or high profile with aac ( or ac3 ?) audio. I've had some luck using vlc with vlm to stream but it seems limited. What are my other options?  Everything has to run on Linux- hopefully open source. How can I use playlists and not live streams? What are my software options?

    I generate an FXML file with Scene Builder. I need it to contain some cirillic text. When i edit this file with Scene Builder i can see normal cirillic letters (screen 1) After compileing and running my program with this FXML file, i'll see not cirillic letters, but some artefacts (screen 2) But, as you can see on the screen 3, its xml file encoding is UTF-8. Also, you can see there that it is saved in ANSI. I've tried to open it with other editors (default eclipse and sublime text 2) and they shoen wrong encoding either. (screen 4 and screen 5) At first i've tried to convert it from ansi to utf-8 (with notepad++). After that eclipse and sublime text 2 started display cirillic letters as they must be. But.   • TIME_WAIT connections not being cleaned up after timeout period expires

    I am stress testing one of my servers by hitting it with a constant stream of new network connections, the tcp_fin_timeout is set to 60, so if I send a constant stream of something like 100 requests per second, I would expect to see a rolling average of 6000 (60 * 100) connections in a TIME_WAIT state, this is happening, but looking in netstat (using -o) to see the timers, I see connections like: TIME_WAIT timewait (0.00/0/0) where their timeout has expired but the connection is still hanging around, I then eventually run out of connections. Anyone know why these connections don't get cleaned up? If I stop creating new connections they do eventually disappear but while I am constantly creating new connections they don't, seems like the kernel isn't getting chance to clean them up? Is there some other config options I need to set to remove the connections as soon as they have expired? The server is running Ubuntu and my web server is nginx. Also it has iptables with connection tracking, not sure if that would cause these TIME_WAIT connections to live on. Thanks Mark.

  • mysql.sock doesn't get installed after mysql installation on snow leopard

    This is a recent problem... MySQL was working and a couple of days ago I must have done something. I deleted MySQL and tried reinstalling using the .dmg file. The mysql.sock file never gets created and I get the following error messages: Hristo$ mysql Enter password: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) I also tried stopping Apache and installing but Apache gave me an error... I don't know if this is good or bad: Hristo$ sudo apachectl stop launchctl: Error unloading: org.apache.httpd I tried the MacPorts installation as well but the socket file still didn't get created. I don't really know what to do and I don't want to reinstall Snow Leopard and start from scratch :/ Any ideas? Thanks, Hristo
