    I have code below: NSArray *existedTasks = [[TaskBizDB sharedInstance] fetchTasksWatchedByMeOfProject:projectId]; [context save:&error]; existedTasks = [[TaskBizDB sharedInstance] fetchTasksWatchedByMeOfProject:projectId]; NSArray *allTasks = [[TaskBizDB sharedInstance] fetchTasksOfProject:projectId]; First line returns two objects; Second line save the context; Third line returns just one object, which is contained in the 'two objects' above; And the last line returns 6 objects, containing the 'two objects' returned at the first line. The fetch interface works like below: WXModel *model = [WXModel modelWithEntity:NSStringFromClass([WQPKTeamTask class])]; NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"(%@ IN personWatchers) AND (projectId == %d)", currentLoginUser, projectId]; [model setPredicate:predicate]; NSArray *fetchedTasks = [model fetch]; if (fetchedTasks.count == 0) return nil; return fetchedTasks; What confused me is that, with the same fetch request, why return different results just after a save?     hi all, i need to clone an entire treeview to implement Undo\Redo actions. i try in different ways but it appears that directly isn't possible. I mean copying the entire treeview, save that copy in a list. Then when the Undo action is requested decrement a specific counter of levels of undo and replace the actual treeview with the treeview that exist in the index positions of the list. if I do redo the same happens but lvls is incremented so i recover what come next. Every time that a modifications occurs in the treeview i need to save that copy and increment the lvl counter

    I'm using backbone for a reasonably complicated form. I have a number of nested models, and have been computing other variables in the parent model like so: // INSIDE PARENT MODEL computedValue: function () { var value = this.get('childModel').get('childModelProperty'); return value; } This seems to work fine for keeping my UI in sync, but as soon as I call .save() on the parent model, I get: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'get' It seems that the child model kind of temporarily stops responding. Am I doing something inherently wrong?     at the moment I try to reduce the load on my database extremly, so I had a look in my website and think about - what database calls can I try to avoid. So is there a rule for that? Sould I save every information in a Session that is nearly never changed? e.g.: The User-Table is a 35-coloumn-table which I need so often in so different ways, that in the moment I got this user-object at nearly every PageLoad AND in the master-site-page-load (Settings, display the username for a welcome message, colors etc etc.). So is that good to avoid the database query here, save the User-Object in a Session and call it from the session - and of course destroy the session whereever the User-Object get changed (e.g. User change his settings)?

  • saving values of editText in replaced fragment

    I have a 2 fragment layout, on the left fragment, i have a list of the different table names, on the right, i open up a different table depending on what is clicked on the right fragment. my intention, is that the first list item is clicked, then values will be entered on the table, next the second list item is clicked, the next table opens up and those values are entered. what would be the best way to store the values of the results entered in the editboxes, so i can process them all at once? I'm sure i can use onPause to save them all, but would that be the best way? Thanks

    I have created one simple note taking application in jquery & php. Current functionality is like when user clicks save button it sends a ajax request with complete data to update it in db(mysql). All works well. But now I want to auto save only changed text while user typing. I don't want to send entire text to server again and again in text change event. It should send only text which has changed. For Ex: This is saved text. When user continues typing. This is saved text. Unsaved text.. It should be able to send only "Unsaved text.." to server to update in db. How can i implement this in jquery & server side script.? Any Idea..?

  • Get Rails to save a record to the database in a non-UTC time

    Is there a way to get Rails to save records to the database without it automagically converting the timestamp into UTC before saving? The problem is that I have a few models that pull data from a legacy database that saves everything in Mountain Time and occasionally I have to have my Rails app write to that database. The problem is that every time it does, it converts the time I give it from Mountain Time to UTC, which is 6-7 hours ahead (depending on DST)! Needless to say, this really messes with reporting on that database. If I could get around doing this, I would. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about the fact that this other database uses a different timezone, nor can I really get away from the need for this app to save to that database occasionally. If I could just get Rails to stop trying to help me, it'd be great.

I need something like a config entry ... but I need to change that as the user add/remove the favorites. Do you think that I should save that in registry ... or on the disk in a separate file?     I've noticed that all applications on OS X seem to save the size you set it at. The next time you open it it's typically in the same position and size. I'm making an app and I've noticed that after resizing, if I launch the application again it's just the size of what I've set in Xcode 4's IB and not the size that I resized it to on launch. Do I have to manually save the window size each time its changed? Or is there an easier way to do this through IB? (My window does have a minimum size set if that changes anything.)

I want to know the Email & Phone number of user so I can contact this person if need be. I don't want users to keep entering their Email ID & Phone No. everytime in each form.     I allow the user to record a video within my app, then later play it again. When a user records a video, I save the URL of the video, then play the video later from the saved URL. I save the video both in the Photos app and in my app. If I delete the video within the photos app, it still plays. After about 7 days, the video gets deleted. I think I am saving in my tmp directory, but i'm not sure.   • Potential issue when using memcache session save handler in PHP

    I have two load balanced web servers, and I'm using the memcache session save handler with the save path pointing to two memcache servers. It's configured with session redundancy set to two (the number of memcache servers). So PHP is writing session data to both memcache servers, and when I take one of the servers down, everything seems to work fine since the session data has been written to both memcache servers. The problem seems to happen when I use the app for a while with only the one memcache server up, and then bring the other one back up. My theory is that the memcache server comes back up, and PHP then starts asking it for session data which isn't there since it was written to the other server while this one was down. Is there any merit to this theory? Should PHP be asking both servers for the session data and maybe there's some other problem?
