• Is there a way to automatically grab all the elements on the page using Selenium?

  When creating tests for .Net applications, I can use the White library to find all elements of a given type. I can then write these elements to an Xml file, so they can be referenced and used for GUI tests. This is much faster than manually recording each individual element's info, so I would like to do the same for web applications using Selenium. I haven't been able to find any info on this yet. I would like to be able to search for every element of a given type and save its information (location/XPath, value, and label) so I can write it to a text file later.

  hi everyone, In my JavaScript function I do like this in order to redirect parameters to servlet: var ids1=document.getElementById("projet").value; document.location.href("http://localhost:8080/Opc_Web_App/ServletAffectation?ids1="+ids1); and in the servlet I do the following to get Value: String idprojet= request.getParameter("ids1"); System.out.println("le projet selectionné est :" +idprojet); the problem that i didn't have the result of System.out.print in my screen; so in other terms the servlet didn't get the parameter.   I want to be able to search within the commit logs of svn. I know you can do that on tortoise, but couldn't find a way using the command line. We are moving to a two-tiered repository approach, so that the stable branch will only get stories fully completed and tested. To achieve that, we would need a way to search within the commit messages for the story code (eg:#s1322) and get a list of the revisions to be used in a subsequent merge command. • In Android, does _id have to be present in any table created?

  I am trying to create a table to only has a foreign key, not a primary key. I am getting this error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: column '_id' does not exist I read a tutorial that the primary key must be _id, with no explanation. And that is fine. But what if I do not want a primary key! What if I only want a foreign key. I am assuming this is where my problem lies. The schemas below are what I have. • Call inner function of jQuery-Plugin-function?

  Hello Everyone, I've written an jQuery-Plugin, which I want to use as Object. So I declared some functions within the plugin, which I want to call from any other location, just like an object with methods. Is that even possible? To keep it simple: (function( $ ){ $.fn.myPlugin = function(){ // Here I want methods... function foo() { // do something... } } })(jQuery); Then I want to call the inner function from outside the plugin like: $.myPlugin.foo(); But that doesn't seem to work. So is it even possible? Or are there any other solutions? I don't want to use an normal unrelated jQuery-Class for this purpose. Because this plugin should work together with some other jQuery-Plugins. Thank you

• Only strip commas surrounded by numbers in a string

  I am using StreamReader to read each line of a CSV file into a string. As I am processing each line, I need to strip out any commas that ONLY are surrounded by other numbers. For example, if the string was: "textfield1", "textfield2", "100.00", "1,070.00" I would need to only take the comma out of "1,070.00" from this entire string, resulting in: "textfield1", "textfield2", "100.00", "1070.00" Each string read from the CSV file can differ in number of fields, length, etc., so I need to use something (Regular Expressions maybe?) that looks at the entire string without hardcoding a location or blanket removal of all commas. Here is the approach I have been trying: StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(strInputFile); string nextLine = sr.ReadLine(); try { while ((nextLine = sr.ReadLine()) != null) { string rawtext = nextLine.Replace("[0-9]"+","+"[0-9]" , "[0-9]"+"[0-9]"); // ....rest of code } } This obviously doesn't work because I don't understand how to do this :) I am new at C# and inexperienced in Regex, so hopefully this is relatively simple.

• How to include file from seperate remote folder in Netbeans (PHP Development)

  I have a PHP project setup in Netbeans (v6.8) where all the PHP files are on a remote server and in a single directory. Whenever I save files locally they are updated on the remote server via SFTP. I now need to edit a remote JavaScript file to add some jQuery logic but the file is located within a different directory on the webserver. How to I add this JavaScript file such that when it is saved or updated it is transferred to it's own location on the server? When I attempt to create the file locally within NetBeans it saves to the same directory as my PHP files. I would like to be able to continue using NetBeans rather than doing this all manually using an SFTP client and a text editor. Thanks in advance.

  I cant seem to show the scrollbar in my iframe. I am making a script that will rotate a page 180 degrees and it uses iframes. • Best way to integrate searching with pagination

  I have a web application build on cakephp 2.x. I have integrated pagination on my data. Now i want to implement searching on that data also, and pagination should work according to search result. Now my question is: Should i use a form to post my search string. If so, then which method should i use, GET or POST. OR, should i use javascript window.location method, and append the search string to it. If we use this method then search string can append more than once to url. Or any other best way to implement this. Can anybody give the best solution for this as it is a common task for each application to have.

  My task is to write a Messenger program for both internal and external staffs, I actually made it. However, I thing this is really not a good approach by using the client software keep "check-mesg" from server. So I think I am just simulating the IM program. I want to make the client app become a listening server, and let user p2p talking without a "mesg-centre" at the main server(unless offline mesg happen). The question is how do I tell the external user ( other client app ) my location while I am behind a router ?   Hello, this questions may be stupid, but i dont really see how to resolve it : lest say that in my application, i have a user. This user edit his profile, and need to edit his avatar. Where should i store the avatar file? first of all i was saving all the files in src\main\webapp\resources , but each time i redeploy that folder empties. so i dedide to place in an other location : c:\wwwdir\resources, but i can't link local resources from remote pages, so i was not able to display any avatar . any idea? advise? link?

• Are there any alternative to the header(); function ?

  The thing is, I have a log-in page. And, when user enters Username & Password, they must be re-directed to success/failure page. Now, I have placed a "header('location:welcome.php');" after mysql rows are returned. But, it is giving me Header already sent errors, and I don't know much about PHP to do anything about it, let alone understand why it is happening. So, how to you transfer a user to another page after log-in data is verified? Same problem is happening with register, post, comment and search functions in my site.

• Positioning child panels using FlowLayout

  I have two panels: main_panel child_panel The main_panel layout is set using: main_panel.setLayout(flowlayout) I then added child_panel to main_panel: main_panel.add(child_panel) The child_panel gets added to main_panel but its position is at the cross-section of horizontal midpoint and top vertical section of screen. I want child_panel to be at the top left corner, something I could have done by using child_panel.setlocation(a,b) method, if I have set the layout of main_panel as null. I have used FlowLayout here because I want components in the JPanel to keep adjusting with the size of JFrame. So can I add child_panel to main_panel at the exact location I want, even if I set the Layout of main_panel as not null?

• Perform SilkTest actions on an Eclipse that's always already open?

  I want to be able to recognize the Eclipse window, which is always already open, so I won't ever need to open it with SilkTest. Is there a way that I can set the base state to be a window that's always going to be open? It seems the way to set the base state also designates the executable for it to open. The executable won't necessarily always be in the same location, and it would be a pain to configure that. Is this possible? I've already tried desktop.<Window>find("//Window[@caption='Java EE*']");, which doesn't work.

• does TFS easily allow you to share testresults with people who don't have TFS?

  I'd like to publish a set of test results to a place where team members who don't have TFS can see the results. Does TFS do anything like this easily? I see that that test results do get published, but without a TFS license I don't see any way for people to view them. I think I can do this easily by pulling the XML from the test results and then pushing that out to a central location, but I was wondering if there's anything like an "official" way to do this. TFS is hard to work with when you have some people who have access to it and others who don't... I really wish there was some sort of read-only access to the server (let people get files but not check them out for instance).

  I have a class Song with properties Title, Key, Artist, etc. There are no methods. I loop through a database of song information and create a Song object for each, populating the properties, and then store the Song objects in an NSArray. Then I thought, why not just have a struct Song with all those same properties instead of a class Song. Doing so would eliminate the class files, the #import Song line in the using class's .m file, and the need to alloc, init, release. On the other hand, I'd have to put the struct definition in every class that might need it. (Unless there's some globally accessible location -- is there?) Also, can a struct be stored in an NSArray?

• Eclipse C++ on WinXP - Type `::iterator' has not been declared

  I'm new to C++/Eclipse. I'm trying to get it working to get a new perspective on a problem with a program I wrote in DevCPP. The program is simple and builds fine in DevCPP. In Eclipse, I get hundreds of errors like the one above. I assume the compiler can't see my include files. I've checked that the project settings - GCC C++ compiler - directories contains the location for my include files (D:\MinGW\include\c++\3.4.5). I've prowled around and tried to change 'Discovery Options' to 'GCC C++ Compiler' from 'GCC C Compiler' but it keeps changing back. I guess this is not the problem. Any help would be very welcome. I'm on a tight deadline with many interruptions and this is cracking me up.

• Feed char array into stdin

  I am writing a parser for a mini scripting language. Some of my grammar rules require jumping to a different location in the file to obtain information. There doesn't seem to be a straightforward way to accomplish this. So, I was thinking about loading my data files into a char array array and parsing line by line. This will allow me to jump all over the array with ease. My question is, is it possible to feed char arrays (i.e. char *) into stdin, so I can easily invoke the yyparse() function as needed.
