  I have a 100x100 pixel image that I want to draw at various angles rotated around the center of the image. The following code works, but rotates around the original origo of the coordinate system (upper left hand corner) and not the translated location. Thus the image is not rotated around itself but around the upper left corner of the screen. • How do I change the background color of the column with the expanders in Eclipse?

  Recently after scorching my retinas from the garish white background in Eclipse, I found some of the excellent posts about how to change the colors so it uses sane (i.e. dark background) colors in the editor. However, one problem present in all solutions is that background of the column with the expanders for code folding is always white. Is there a way to change the background of that column? Here's a screenshot of the problem: I'm not the only person that has this problem, as shown in the screenshots for the following questions: Dark Color Scheme for Eclipse Color Themes for Eclipse (application of color schemes results in this issue on a Mac, no idea about PC) I know that the problem is not language specific as it happens in Java, Python, HTML, and everything else. • Database Schema for survey polling application with a default choice.

  I have a survey application, where users can create surveys and give choices for every survey. Other users can choose their answers for the aurvey and then polls are taken to get the results of the survey. I already have the database schema for this Questions id, user_id, category_id, question_text, date_started Answers id, user_id, question_id, choice_id, explanation, date_added Choices id, question_id, choice_text As for now, users can choose their own choice answers to their surveys... but I want to be able to add a default "I dont care" or "I dont know" choice to every survey for people who simply dont care about the topic to take sides or who cant choose. So lets say theres a survey that asks who was a better president, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagon, or Richard Nixon... I want to be able to add a default "I dont care" option. I was thinking to just add that extra choice EVERY TIME a user creates a survey, but then I wouldn't have much control over the text for that choice after that survey has been created, and I want to know if theres a better way to do this, like create another table or something Thanks

• How to reshape matrices in Mathematica

  When manipulating matrices it is often convenient to change their shape. For instance, to turn an N x M sized matrix into a vector of length N X M. In MATLAB a reshape function exists: RESHAPE(X,M,N) returns the M-by-N matrix whose elements are taken columnwise from X. An error results if X does not have M*N elements. In the case of converting between a matrix and vector I can use the Mathematica function Flatten which takes advantage of Mathematica's nested list representation for matrices. As a quick example, suppose I have a matrix X: With Flatten[X] I can get the vector {1,2,3,...,16}. But what would be far more useful is something akin to applying Matlab's reshape(X,2,8) which would result in the following Matrix: This would allow creation of arbitrary matrices as long as the dimensions equal N*M. As far as I can tell, there isn't anything built in which makes me wonder if someone hasn't coded up a Reshape function of their own.

  Hey there. I'm trying to take the results of a view - using the function views_get_view_result() - and sort the array in a way I couldn't do from within the Views interface. So far so good. I've got a $rows variable with all of the stuff I need. Now... How do I put it back? :) Before I needed this sort, I used views_embed_view(), but I can't do that anymore. Grateful for any help on this, feels like I'm so close to cracking it!

  I have a table full of Dealers along with their latitude and longitude. I am trying to determine the top n closest dealers to any given lat and lon. I already have the function to calculate distance between locations, but I want to do as few calculations as possible (my table can contain many thousands of entries). Currently I have to calculate the distance for each entry then sort them. Is there any way to sort before I do the calculation to improve performance? This question is good, but I will not always know my range. Should I just pick an arbitrarily high range then refine my results? • python c extension, problems with dlopen on mac os

  I've taken a library that is distributed as a binary lib (.a) and header, written some c++ code against it, and want to wrap the results up in a python module. I've done this here. The problem is that when importing this module on Mac OSX (I've tried 10.5 and 10.6), I get the following error: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/dirac.so, 2): Symbol not found: _DisposePtr Referenced from: /Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/dirac.so Expected in: dynamic lookup This looks like symbols defined in the Carbon framework aren't being properly resolved, but I'm not sure what to do about that. I am supplying -framework Carbon to distutil.core.Extension's extra_link_args parameter, so I'm not sure what else I should do. Any help would be much appreciated.

  Hello all. I'm building a source code search engine, and I'm returning the results on a HTML page (aspx to be exact, but the view logic is in HTML). When someone searches a string, I also return the whole line of code where this string can be found in a file. However, some lines of code come from HTML/aspx files and these lines contain HTML specific comments (). When I try to print this line on the HTML page, it interprets it as a comment and does not show it on the screen....how should I go about solving this so that it actually shows up? • Trouble parsing NMEA data from Serial Port.

  I'm retrieving NMEA sentences from a serial GPS. Then string are coming across like I would expect. The problem is that when parsing a sentence like this: $GPRMC,040302.663,A,3939.7,N,10506.6,W,0.27,358.86,200804,,*1A I use a simple bit of code to make sure I have the right sentect: string[] Words = sBuffer.Split(','); foreach (string item in Words) { if (item == "$GPRMC") { return "Correct Sentence"; } else { return "Incorrect Sentence } } I added the return in that location for the example. I have printed the split results to a text box and have seen that $GPRMC is indeed coming across in the item variable at some point. If the string is coming across why won't the if statement catch? Is is the $? How can I trouble shoot this?

I know JIT will improve my average speed performance, but it would be nice for me to have some actual more detailed tests results as I want to work with mobile platforms. I haven't found how to enable or disable JIT like it exists on Squirrelfish (cf. ENABLE_JIT in JavaScriptCore/wtf/Platform.h). Does somebody knows how to do that with v8? Thanks. Alexandre

It's a whole new world of SQLite where you compose your queries and parse your results with JavaScript. But while you may not have your whole site's database go down, the user who gets his/her database corrupted or wiped due to a malicious injection attack is going to be rather upset. So, what's the best way, in pure JavaScript, to escape/sanitize your inputs so they will not wreak havoc with your user's built-in database? Scriptlets? specifications? Anyone?

  How to remove a blank page that gets added automatically after \part{} or \chapter{} in a book document class? I need to add some short text describing the \part. Adding some text after the part command results in at least 3 pages with an empty page between the part heading and the text: Part xx (empty) some text How to get rid of that empty page? P.S. Latex: How to remove blank pages coming between two chapters IN Appendix? is similar but it changes the behavior for the rest of the text while I need to remove the empty page for this one \part command only.

  I'm looking at the product Aptimize Website Accelerator, which is an ISAPI filter that will concatenate files, minify css/javascript, and more. Does anyone have experience with this product, or any other "all-in-one" solutions? I'm interesting in knowing whether something like this would be good long-term, or would manually setting up all the components (integrate YUICompress into the build process, setting up gzip compression, tweaking expiration headers, etc...) be more beneficial? An all-in-one solution like this looks very tempting, as it could save a lot of time if our website is "less than optimal". But how efficient are these products? Would setting up the components manually generate better results? Or would the gap between the all-in-one solution and manually setting up the component be so small, that it's negligible?

  I'm searching for an algorithm for Digit summing. Let me outline the basic principle: Say you have a number: 18268. 1 + 8 + 2 + 6 + 8 = 25 2 + 5 = 7 And 7 is our final number. It's basically adding each number of the whole number until we get down to a single (also known as a 'core') digit. It's often used by numerologists. I'm searching for an algorithm (doesn't have to be language in-specific) for this. Must start with a-z (case insensitive) Must only contain a-z A-Z 0-9 . - I've put something together based on my limited knowledge and ran it through an online testing tool for a whole bunch of situations and the results were as I had hoped however when I place the pattern into my .NET code it doesn't match correctly. The pattern I am using is, [a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z0-9.\-]* Is this the correct pattern or am I barking up the wrong tree?   Question:- Page is a typical search page with few filters on it. When search for records based on filters, it shows result in Gridview. From grid view records, user can click on any record to see the details which takes the focus on new page. Its working fine so far. Now when user comes back from details page to search page. • Need to preserve order of elements sent in JSON from Java

  I'm using JSON.org APIs for Java to use JSON in my JSP webapp, I know JSONObject doesn't preserve order of elements the way they are put into it and one has to use JSONArray for that but I don't know how to use it since I need to send key and value both as received from the database, and here I'm sending data to jQuery via JSON where I need the order of data to be maintained. Following is my servlet code, where I'm getting results from the database using ORDER BY and hence I want the order to be exact as returned from the database. Also this JSON object requested using $.post method of jQuery and is used to populate dropdown on reciever page.
