• Why is my onSharedPreferenceChangeListener being called multiple times when I change a pref.

  I've written an app with 3 tabs. Each tab has the same list view with different data sources. I have setup SharedPreferences in the tabhost activity, but I put my onSharedPreferenceChangeListener method in my listactivity. When I change a preference, my listener gets called and it updates my database. This is all working. However, if I change the data in tab 1, it calls my listener once. If I change the data for tab 2 it calls it twice and if I change the data in tab 3 it calls it three times. Any idea why it works this way? I guess I could setup my shared prefs in my listactivity and that might avoid the issue, but I'm curious why my listener is called multiple times if it's in a different tab. brockoli

  Let's suppose we have an element like this one in the main xml file: <group name="gr1" filename="groups/gr1.xml"/>. The second file gr1.xml contains something like this: <item name="i1">Item one</item> <item name="i2">Item two</item> <item name="i3">Item three</item> Note that there is no XML declaration in gr1.xml, just plain items without single parent node. So… Which is the best way to replace <group/> with its <item/>s? I have already tried some things like manual enclosing of gr1.xml content into a single node with XML declaration and loading it into XmlDocument, but it doesn't look like a good solution.

  I have four objects - for the sake of arguments, let say that they are the following letters: A B C D I need to calculate the number of variations that can be made for these under the following two conditions: No repetition Objects are position agnostic Taking the above, this means that with a four object sequence, I can have only one sequence that matches the criteria (since order is not considered for being unique): ABCD There are four variations for a three object combination from the four object pool: ABC, ABD, ACD, and BCD There are six variations for a two object combination from the four object pool: AB, AC, AD, BC, BD, and CD And the most simple one, if taken on at a time: A, B, C, and D I swear that this was something covered in school, many, many years ago - and probably forgotten since I didn't think I would use it. :-) I am anticipating that factorials will come into play, but just trying to force an equation is not working. Any advice would be appreciated.

  I'm trying to validate an XML file against a number of different schemas (apologies for the contrived example): a.xsd b.xsd c.xsd c.xsd in particular imports b.xsd and b.xsd imports a.xsd, using: <xs:include schemaLocation="b.xsd"/> I'm trying to do this via Xerces in the following manner: XMLSchemaFactory xmlSchemaFactory = new XMLSchemaFactory(); Schema schema = xmlSchemaFactory.newSchema(new StreamSource[] { new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("a.xsd"), "a.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("b.xsd"), "b.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("c.xsd"), "c.xsd")}); Validator validator = schema.newValidator(); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlContent))); but this is failing to import all three of the schemas correctly resulting in cannot resolve the name 'blah' to a(n) 'group' component. I've validated this successfully using Python, but having real problems with Java 6.0 and Xerces 2.8.1. Can anybody suggest what's going wrong here, or an easier approach to validate my XML documents?

  Let's say I have an array of zeros: a = numpy.zeros(1000) I then introduce some repetitive 'events': a[range(0, 1000, 30)] = 1 Question is, how do I detect the 'signal' there? Because it's far from the ideal signal if I do the 'regular' FFT I don't get a clear indication of where my 'true' signal is: f = abs(numpy.fft.rfft(a)) Is there a method to detect these repetitions with some degree of certainty? Especially if I have few of those mixed in, for example here: a[range(0, 1000, 30)] = 1 a[range(0, 1000, 110)] = 1 a[range(0, 1000, 48)] = 1 I'd like to get three 'spikes' on the resulting data...

  I have a function in VS where I pass a pointer to the function. I then want to store the pointer in a register to further manipulate. How do you do that?   I've got my database set up with three tables - code, tags, and code_tags for tagging posts. This will be the SQL query processed when a post is submitted. Each tag is sliced up by PHP and individually inserted using these queries. INSERT IGNORE INTO tags (tag) VALUES ('$tags[1]'); SELECT tags.id FROM tags WHERE tag = '$tags[1]' ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 1; INSERT INTO code_tags (code_id, tag_id) VALUES ($codeid, WHAT_GOES_HERE?) The WHAT_GOES_HERE? value at the end is what I need to know. It needs to be the ID of the tag that the second query fetched. How can I put that ID into the third query? I hope I explained that correctly. I'll rephrase if necessary.

  I want to split certain text using JavaSscript. The text looks like: 9:30 pm The user did action A. 10:30 pm Welcome, user John Doe. 11:30 am Messaged user John Doe Now, I want to split the string into events. i.e.: 9:30 pm The user did action A. would be one event. I'm using RegEx for this: var split = journals.split(/\d*\d:/); Thing is, the first two characters are getting lost. The split appears like this: 30 pm The user did action A. How do I split so that the split maintains the first two/three characters (ie 9: or 10:) etc? Thanks!

  Given a table that has three columns ID (Primary Key, not-autoincrementing) GroupID SomeValue I am trying to write a single SQL INSERT INTO statement that will make a copy of every row that has one GroupID into a new GroupID. Example beginning table: ID | GroupID | SomeValue ------------------------ 1 | 1 | a 2 | 1 | b Goal after I run a simple INSERT INTO statement: ID | GroupID | SomeValue ------------------------ 1 | 1 | a 2 | 1 | b 3 | 2 | a 4 | 2 | b I thought I could do something like: INSERT INTO MyTable ( [ID] ,[GroupID] ,[SomeValue] ) ( SELECT (SELECT MAX(ID) + 1 FROM MyTable) ,@NewGroupID ,[SomeValue] FROM MyTable WHERE ID = @OriginalGroupID ) This causes a PrimaryKey violation since it will end up reusing the same Max(ID)+1 value multiple times as it seems. Is my only recourse to a bunch of INSERT statements in a T-SQL WHILE statement that has an incrementing Counter value? I also don't have the option of turning the ID into an auto-incrementing Identity column since that would breaking code I don't have source for.

Being used to Java, I'm pretty familiar with the paradigm of one class per source code file, bundling all the data and method definitions with appropriate comments and annotations etc. However Clojure offers a lot more flexibility, and I'm not sure how I should structure my project (likely to end up as a medium sized app, maybe 5,000 lines with three or four distinct subsystems) In particular I'm wrestling with: What guidelines should I use to determine whether code should be in a single namespace vs. separated out into different namespaces? Should each protocol/datatype have it's own namespace + source file with associated set of functions? When should I require vs. use other namespaces?

Graphviz (http://www.graphviz.org/) Boost Graph Library (http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_42_0/libs/graph/doc/index.html) Lemon (http://lemon.cs.elte.hu/trac/lemon) igraph (http://igraph.sourceforge.net/introduction.html) What it should do: draw a undirected network map come as header only or static lib for Windows the output format should be user editable Graphviz is the only one I tried so far, but I found no static lib for it, I failed to build it by my own and the documentation could be better. • Adding custom validator without using Zend_Form's addElementPrefixPath

  The problem is that I don't use Zend_Form, so I can't use the built in capabilities. I usually look for three things when setting a validator: - its path (usually in library/path/validators/MyValidator.php) - its class name (tried Validators_MyValidator) and - in application.ini, the autoloaderNamespaces[] = "Validators" I've tried different settings/namings/layouts to no avail. When using a validator in my Zend_Validate_Input, an exception occurs, saying that it couldn't find my plugin/validator, the classes being searched only in Zend/Validate with the Zend_Validate prefix (I didn't try this prefix, though). Wasn't there a setting in app.ini that added a prefix and a path?

I have three model relationed in this way: Project(some_fields, item_id) ------belongsTo----- Item(some_fields, item_id) ------belongsTo----- User(some_fields campi, nickname) I need to do a find() and retrieve all fields from project, a field from Item and the nickname field from User. This is my code: $this->set('projects', $this->Project->find('all', array('recursive' => 2))); but my output doesn't contains the user object.   I've got a class that wraps around an NSMutableSet object, and I have an instance method that adds objects (using the addObject: method) to the NSMutableSet. This works well, but I'm smelling a performance hitch because inside the method i'm explicitly calling containsObject: before adding the object to the set. Three part question: Do I need to be calling containsObject: before I add an object to the set? If so, then what actual method should I be using, containsObject or containsObjectIdenticalTo:? If that is not so, what contains method gets invoked under the hood of addObject:? This is important to me because if I pass an object to containsObject: it would return true, but if I pass it to containsObjectIdenticalTo: it would return false.

• Using CreateFileMapping between two programs - C

  Hello, I have two window form applications written in C, one holds a struct consisting of two integers, another will receive it using the CreateFileMapping. Although not directly related I want to have three events in place so each of the processes can "speak" to each other, one saying that the first program has something to pass to the second, one saying the first one has closed and another saying the second one has closed. What would be the best way about doing this exactly? I've looked at the MSDN entry for the CreateFileMapping operation but I'm still not sure as to how it should be done. I didn't want to start implementing it without having some sort of clear idea as to what I need to do. Thanks for your time.

In auto generated manifest file contains, ( i was using MS VC++ 2008 Express Edition) In side by side(winsxs) directory, there are three version on msvcr90.dll. my.dll started to using only the latest version of msvcr90.dll (9.0.30729.4148). Here in below topics i need the help: 1) my.dll is using only the latest version of msvcr90.dll . if i tried to make this dll as old. My application fails to start. How to make contidion that my.dll should refer only to the version which i mentioned in manifest file. 2) how can i tell my.dll should dependent on the msvcr90.dll which i providing in the local directory along with my.dll. I want to restrict my my.dll should not do search in the system directory for the msvcr90.dll.

  I have the following CFSELECT tags that are used to populate a text input: <cfselect id="this" name="this" bind="cfc:Data.getThis()" bindonload="true" /> <cfselect id="that" name="that" bind="cfc:Data.getThat({p1})" /> <cfselect id="theOther" name="theOther" bind="cfc:Data.getTheOther({p1}, {p2})" /> The text input is the only value that needs to be submitted in a form: <cfform name="addItem" method="post" action="somepage.cfm"> <cfinput type="text" id="item" name="item" bind="cfc:Data.getResult({this}, {that}, {theOther})" /><br /> <cfinput type="submit" name="addButton" value="Add Item" /> </cfform> I want the form and it's contents to be visible only when all three selections have been made, and there is a value for the text input. What is the best way to do this? I'm assuming some use of CFDIV is the best way, but I'm not sure how to load the dynamic content (the CFINPUTs) this way.

• RichFaces Toolbargroup centering a group

  Hello there I am trying use a toolbar so that it has three parts part A is aligned left part B is aligned Center part C is aligned right both the right and left i can use the location attribute ... but since there is no center attribute i am not able to center part b. I can use a rich:spacer but this makes the toolbar rigid and when the screen size is reduced the toolbar gets overlapped ... is there any i can center this without the toolbar getting over lapped.   I get the following error when trying to sign up for the Microsoft Azure 90-day free trial: We can't authorize the payment method. Please make sure the information is correct, or use another payment method. If you continue to get this message, please contact your financial institution. I've tried three different cards, two credit and one debit. Those cards are issued from two different banks. I've also tried the cards on two separate accounts. Someone from my work also confirmed that he could not sign up for the free trial either. Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't really seen much help searching Google and the support staff doesn't seem interested in helping people sign up for free accounts.

  Hi, I am new to MVC, and trying something and got stuck somewhere in between. I have a user control there I have three textbox html type(ID, Lastname, firstname) and a submit buttom. I set the button like <input type="button" value="Search" onclick="location.href='<%= Url.Action("action", "controller") %>'" /> I have called this usercontrol on some view through <%= Html.Partial("ucName") %> Now on pressing that button(on user control) I need to pass the data from these textboxes to controller again to some specific action(Http Post action). By using this data I want to do some database interaction and storing the result in a dataset and pass this data set to same view again to show up in some Grid. I know the first part in conventional Asp.net can be done by raising the event through delegate but don't know how to do that in MVC.

However, I don't see any such restriction on deleted-functions. Is that right? • Grab triangles within a lower triangle

  I have the need to grab all the thee element triangles that make up the lower triangle of a symmetric matrix. I can not think of how to grab all these pieces in the order of far left column working down and then next column to the right and so on. I know that the numbe rof mini triangles inside of the lower triangle is: n = x(x - 1)/2 where: x = nrow(mats[[i]]) Here I've created three matrices with letters (it's easier for me to conceptualize this way) and the elements in the order I'm looking for: FUN <- function(n) { matrix(LETTERS[1:(n*n)], n) } mats <- lapply(3:5, FUN) So this is the output I'd like to get (I put it in code rather than output format) for each of the matrices created above: list(c("B", "C", "F")) list(c("B", "C", "G"), c("C", "D", "H"), c("G", "H", "L")) list(c("B", "C", "H"), c("C", "D", "I"), c("D", "E", "J"), c("H", "I", "N"), c("I", "J", "O"), c("N", "O", "T")) How can I do this task in the fastest manner possible while staying in base R?
