• Break the object body

  In my game, I want to break the object body creating slicing effect. After research I found that I have to use ray casting but I don't know how to use it. If some one know how to break the physics body then please provide information to me. EDIT : I don't have any logic how to do that in andengine. • YouTube: How to Style an AngularJS App on the Device

  I installed the Droid@Screen plugin into NetBeans IDE 8 so that you can see the Android device that I held in my hand while doing the demo below. The demo shows the usage of the Terminal window to create an Ionic Framework application (from "tabs", which is one of the cool templates that the framework provides), i.e., that means I can use AngularJS to create a Cordova application out of the box, with many mobile-oriented components available out of the box. Then I deploy the app to the Chrome browser on Android, which means I can interact with it in NetBeans, e.g., for CSS styling and JavaScript debugging. In this demo, I show how the background color of the deployed app can be changed live from NetBeans. After that, once I'm happy with the styling, I deploy the app again, but this time as a Cordova app, i.e., a hybrid HTML5 application, which means the app is packaged as a native app and deployed directly to the device from NetBeans. (I put this as a link so you can think it through first, then go to The Best C++ Interview Question – Ever! to see the correct answer.) I don't ask this because I expect most people to know the answer. If they did it would not be that useful a question. I ask to see if they can work their way to the correct answer and how they do so.

  Hello!.As you may notice :), this is my first post on geekswithblogs.com . I  have been using the .Net Framework mainly to develop ASP.NET WebApps for some years now and I am moving from using the .Net Framework 2.0 to using the latest features on the 4.x Frameworks, I am planning to document whenever is possible some of the stuff I learn using this space kindly given by the staff of the site. The feedback I get will also be very important for my progress and my plan is to learn a lot from what you guys can teach me with your comments on here.I also found myself with the necessity of putting somewhere code samples because sometimes when you post on forums the entries get locked and you can't do anything to add relevant details on them. The code will either be explained on its entirety or will be posted on a link that has an explained working sample for you guys to test and learn from.My posts will be in English, and I am an intermediate English speaker/writer so bare with me if it's not perfect sometimes, I am always learning something new though.I hope this get to be a useful resource for anyone interested. • Google search does not show sub-pages from my website

  My website appears in Google search, but only the first page. Of course I have sub-pages linked from the first page, but the sub-pages do not show in Google search. Not in Yahoo, not in Bing. What should I do? It has been three years that sub-pages do not show. (I tried searching site:mydomain.com and pressed 'repeat the search with the omitted results included' link) What would you suspect the reason? My website addresses were like xxx.php?yy=zzz etc, etc, so I changed it to /yy/zzz using mod_rewrite. I thought it might be (X)HTML standard violations, so now I changed it. I hope Google will soon have my entire website, but I am a little bit pessimistic. Do you have any thought?

• Google Webmasters tools crawl error caused by URL split into two lines

  I am looking in to Google Webmaster Tools - Crawl Error section. How should I handle for those URL due their system / application showed invalid URL. e.g http://www.example/images/products/s_=enlarge_16gb.jpg but, I dunno what happen to yahoo groups, it break the link into http://www.example/images/products/s_= enlarge_16gb.jpg and I only make the top part become hyperlink, which is http://www.example/images/products/s_= Because of the URL, Google show crawl error, I got few error because of this kind of result or because other people typo error. How do I prevent this. I am sure I don't have the right go and change other people post. What is the solution for this. Thanks!

• Ad-Driven Apps Are Sucking Your Android Battery Dry

  Ads in free Android apps might be annoying but you probably never imagined they were radically draining your battery. New research from Purdue University and Microsoft highlight just how much ad-driven apps tank your battery life. What did they find? That poorly designed ad-modules in free ad-driven applications are terrible at conserving energy. In popular applications like Angry Birds and Free Chess 70% of the energy the application consumed was used to drive the ads. They also surveyed other applications and found that ad-driven apps weren’t alone in excessive battery use–the New York Times app, for example, spent 15% of its battery consumption on tracking and background tasks. • Google Maps in .NET Problem

  Hello, I've been struggling with Google maps till I found that someone implemented a wrapper so that you can use Google Map as an ASP.Net user control which is a great effort indeed. You can download it from this link. However, after using it for a while, I've found out that it is storing the Google map object only once in the session and getting it from there whenever needed which was a problem for me that when you update the map in some page, you'll find it updated on another page. So, I've digged deep in the code and updated it so that it stores the map object with a unique identifier that you set it as a property in the user control object like that: this.googleMapCtrl.ControlID = Guid.NewGuid().ToString(); You can download the updated control files from here. • Canonical links for huge websites

  Let's say I have 5 products that are identical but the product code, the product color specifications and the product image. The title, meta and description are identical (by the way the color is in a select form). I made 4 products link canonical to the 1 that is the master based on many factors. If the master becomes inactive or without a stock one product from the other 4 will become the new master and the rest will become canonical to it. The question is if that by becomeing master from canonical will the site suffer a penalty from Google or it will work just fine? What will Google think about this strategy?

• How do Tortoise svn handle concurrent file updation

  I don't know much about Tortoise SVN, but have been using it for a while :) I understand that it is capable of managing concurrent users on same file, but how does it do that? I am working on a file that another user is using concurrently and he committed couple of times before me, Now my files doesnt have the changes he made. Every time i end up in such a situation I gets a conflict and I am stuck. So is there something else I should do instead of just committing and causing conflict. Is it safe to do a update first and then commit ? Will I lose my local changes in this case? Please dont beat me up if this is somthing basic, A link to some tutorial will be useful in that case :)

• Is it possible to power up ports on a USB hub from Ubuntu?

  I have a D-Link DUB-H7 powered USB 2.0 hub connected to my computer. Occasionally when I reboot the system, I've noticed that some of the ports on the hub get powered down: the green light next to the port is turned off, and the device attached to that port is not visible to lsusb or similar commands. Devices attached to the other ports on the hub function as normal. I am able to restore the ports by disconnecting power to the hub temporarily (from the computer, AC adapter and any devices that might provide any power such as my phone), but this is a bit of a hassle. It seems like something that might be related to power management, so is there some way you can tell the USB hub to power up through software?

• Multiple domain names with pages linking to one website

  Hello, I work for a company who have been redesigning their company website. I have been asked to register loads of domain names that contain the keywords that they want to use on the original site. Each of these domain names will contain a one page website with a destription of what the company offers and a link saying something along the lines of 'click here for more infmormation' which then takes you to the main site. The idea being the main site will then be recieving a lot of inbound links and hopefully rise in the google rankings, not to mention bring in more customers who have come to the site from all the other domain names who wouldn't have normally got to the website because it wasn't ranked on the first page. Is this a good idea or will Google see this as spam and penalise the main site for having loads of links to it from one page websites hosted on the same nameserver? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark.

• C: What is a good source to teach standard/basic code conventions to someone newly learning the language ?

  I'm tutoring someone who can be described as a rank newcomer in C. Understandably, she does not know much about coding conventions generally practiced, and hence all her programs tend to use single letter vars, mismatched spacing/indentation and the like, making it very difficult to read/debug her endeavors. My question is, is there a link/set of guidelines and examples which she can use for adopting basic code conventions ? It should not be too arcane as to scare her off, yet inclusive enough to have the basics covered (so that no one woulc wince looking at the code). Any suggestions ?
