• Rhapsody TestConductor Experiences

  I was wondering whether anybody out there is actively using Rhapsody TestConductor? Or has tried it for a while, but then decided to turn it down for a particular reason? If so, what are your experiences, in which field do you apply it, what are the shortcomings, or why did you turn it down? At the moment we're considering TestConductor as our tool of choice for testing as it's already integrated into Rhapsody, and would like to find out how applicable it is to our project (btw, we're using Rhapsody 7.4 in C). P.S: Recommendations on good books about Model Based Testing are also appreciated.

• Google Docs viewer in IE

  Hey all, I've searched high and low for a solution, but can't find one. I'm using Google Docs Viewer to view PDF files. It's a great tool, but I can't seem to get it working in Internet Explorer (7 or 8). All my images come up as a 'missing' icon. If I view the file externally, it seems to load fine and it will start working (I'm assuming because the images are being cached). The document is being displayed in an iframe and works in all other browsers. Has anyone come across a solution to get it to work in IE? If not, is there an alternative that can display PPT and PDF files? Thanks

  What are useful and free resources to make Wordpress 2.9 themes? Is Dreamweaver helpful to make themes ? What are time saving tips? I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 on Windows. and my main browser is FF 3.6. I know some extensions of dreamweaver but those are not updated with wordpress versions. Should we edit theme files directly on live server or Local XAMPP option is better? Should i create XHTML CSS version of PSD then XHTML CSS to wordpress? After making XHTML CSS Version of PSD how to incorporate Wordpress 2.9 Tags in it? Has anyone tried this tool http://www.themedreamer.com/ is this really helpful?

So there are times when I want the command window to not show up and times when I want it to stay open so that the user can see what happened, possibly respond with the appropriate input. State) because MySQL doesn't implement look-ahead assertions, a number of answers came up the equivalent Kansas($|[^ ]| ($|[^S])| S($|[^t])| St($|[^a])| Sta($|[^t])| Stat($|[^e])) The poster pointed out that's a PITA to do for potentially lots of expressions. Is there a script/utility/mode of PCRE (or some other package) that will convert a PCRE (if possible) to an equivalent regex that doesn't use Perl's snazzy features? I'm fully aware that some Perl-style regexes cannot be stated as an ordinary regex, so I would not expect the tool to do the impossible, of course!

  I am trying to implement NTLM authentication on one of our internal sites and everything is working. The one piece of the puzzle I do not have is how to take the information from NTLM and authenticate with Active Directory. There is a good description of NTLM and the encryption used for the passwords, which I used to implement this, but I am not sure of how to verify if the user's password is valid. I am using Coldfusion but a solution to this problem can be in any language (Java, Python, PHP, etc). Edit: I am using Coldfusion on Redhat Enterprise Linux. Unfortunately we cannot use IIS to manage this and instead have to write or use a 3rd party tool for this.

• C++ to bytecode compiler for Silverlight CLR?

  I'd like to be able to compile a C/C++ library so that it runs within a safe managed runtime in the Silverlight CLR. There are several tools for doing this with the JVM that allows C++ code to run within a CRT emulation layer (see NestedVM, LLJVM, etc), which effectively allows C++ code to be run within a Java Applet. There's even a tool for this for the Adobe Flash VM (see Alchemy). However, I can't seem to find any tools like this for the CLR. fyi, the MSVC tools don't seem to allow for this: The /clr:pure flag will create C++ code that runs in the CLR, but it isn't safe (because the CRT isn't safe) and /clr:safe requires massive code changes (no native types, etc).

  I got another new account for the AppStore, I setup the new account certificates on my MAC. Now when I try to publish XCode gives me the error CodeSign error: Certificate identity 'iPhone Distribution: 'Name' appears more than once in the keychain. The codesign tool requires there only be one. How can I change my certificate identity for the other account? While I have to leave my Name as it is on both itunes profiles. How can avoid this problem without have to remove one certificate each time I need to publish app on appstore. Thank you.

  We're having a significant number of problems creating a bulk upload function for our little app. We're using the FasterCSV gem to upload data to a MySQL database but he Faster CSV is so twitchy and precise in its requirements that it constantly breaks with malformed CSV errors and time out errors. The csv files are generally created by users' pasting text from their web sites or from Microsoft Word docs so it is not reasonable to expect that there will never be odd characters like smart quotes or accents in the data. Also users aren't going to be readily able to identify whether their data is perfect enough for FasterCSV or not. We need to find a way to fix it for them automatically. Is there a good way or a reliable tool for pre-processing CSV data to fix any nits in the data before having the FasterCSV gem process it?

• Can I use ANTLR for both two-way parsing/generating?

  Hi all, I need to both parse incoming messages and generate outgoing messages in EDIFACT format (basically a structured delimited format). I would like to have a Java model that will be generated by parsing a message. Then I would like to use the same model to create an instance and generate a message. The first half is fine, I've used ANTLR before to go from raw - Java objects. But I've never done the reverse, or if I have it's been custom. Does ANTLR support generating using a grammar or is it really just a parse-only tool?

  I know that in Visual SourceSafe you can go in and drill down to the history of an individual file and then drill down to an individual check-in and apply a comment to the check-in that way but that's tedious and time consuming - if you have a lot of files that were checked in at the same time and you want the same comment to apply to all of them this will take forever. I use the tool VSSReporter to generate reports of checkins and other stuff from VSS, but it cannot edit anything, only report on them. Are there any tools which will let you go back and retroactively apply comments to check-ins in an efficient and easy manner?

  When I wish to bind a control to a property of my object, I have to provide the name of the property as a string. This is not very good because: If the property is removed or renamed, I don’t get a compiler warning. If a rename the property with a refactoring tool, it is likely the data binding will not be updated. I don’t get an error until runtime if the type of the property is wrong, e.g. binding an integer to a date chooser. Is there a design-paten that gets round this, but still has the ease of use of data-binding? (This is a problem in WinForm, Asp.net and WPF and most likely lots of other systems) I have now found "workarounds for nameof() operator in C#: typesafe databinding" that also has a good starting point for a solution.

I realize that this is similar to what a rootkit would do, and I am completely happy to use some hacker software if it provides the necessary functionality (and if I can get it in source-code form).   I've just started at a new company in outsourced communications (e.g. print and mail, email, fax). One of the requirements is to process clients data and get it ready for mailing. For recurring jobs, this is easy using an ETL tool linked in with some addressing software, but for adhoc stuff it's a bit overkill. I've used inhouse developed stuff before (clunky but usable), but I don't want to have to re-develop that here. Any recommendations?   I'm working on a verification-tool for some VHDL-Code in MATLAB/Octave. Therefore I need data types which generate "real" overflows: intmax('int32') + 1 ans = -2147483648 Later on, it would be helpful if I can define the bit width of a variable, but that is not so important right now. When I build a C-like example, where a variable gets increased until it's smaller than zero, it spins forever and ever: test = int32(2^30); while (test > 0) test = test + int32(1); end Another approach I tried was a custom "overflow"-routine which was called every time after a number is changed. This approach was painfully slow, not practicable and not working in all cases at all. Any suggestions?

On the command line I would run either... ./foo < bar or ... cat bar | ./foo With a gziped file I can run zcat bar.gz | ./foo in Python I can do ... Popen(["./foo", ], stdin=open('bar'), stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) but I can't do import gzip Popen(["./foo", ], stdin=gzip.open('bar'), stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) I wind up having to run p0 = Popen(["zcat", "bar"], stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) Popen(["./foo", ], stdin=p0.stdout, stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) Am I doing something wrong? Why can't I use gzip.open('bar') as an stdin arg to Popen?

I believe the issue is because, unlike a TextView, the Bitmap class is not BiDi aware, so it draws the letters from left to write. Try as I might, I can't figure out how to draw the text in the correct order.

  how to restrict the page to be browsed in the other browser with the same urls with out logging asp.net & c#.net. i followed the following steps for example: i am logging in to a page developed in asp.net & c#.net. i am viewing a page.Let it be admin page. i am copying the url of the admin page. i am opening another browser window and pasting the url. i was able to see the same admin page in the other browser. the question is how to restrict the opening of admin page in other browser,if they try to open admin page in another browser while user is currently viewing the admin page then it should be redirected to the login page? how could this be accomplished? is there any thing could be done with "login" control tool of the .net frame work?
