• Automatically starting svnserve on Snow Leopard

  Note: I originally asked this question on Server Fault (http://serverfault.com/questions/148052/automatically-starting-svnserve-on-snow-leopard), but I thought this may be a more appropriate place to ask. I have installed Subversion onto my iMac running Snow Leopard, but am having trouble getting svnserve to start up automatically. As I understand it (I'm still fairly green with OSX), the best way to do that is to utilize launchd. To that end, I have created the following .plist file in the /Library/LaunchDaemons folder.   I have installed Subversion onto my iMac running Snow Leopard, but am having trouble getting svnserve to start up automatically. As I understand it (I'm still fairly green with OSX), the best way to do that is to utilize launchd. To that end, I have created the following .plist file in the /Library/LaunchDaemons folder. By contrast, Gmail allows the messages through to the inbox just fine. Here are the things which are in place: SPF is set up for the domain holsteinplaza.com. Yahoo reports spf=pass in the message headers. DKIM is set up for the domain holsteinplaza.com. Yahoo reports dkim=pass in the message headers. We have a proper reverse DNS entry for the sending mail server. Name - IP matches IP - Name. Neither Domainkeys nor SenderID are set up. From what I can tell, DKIM is the way of the future, and there is not much to be gained from adding Domainkeys or SenderID. Following are the headers. • Troubleshooting Website problems within the local network

  Have an external website which opens fine on some PC's, yet seems to time out (or symptoms of timing out, but never actually does) on others. Seems to only affect (some) of our newer HP Pro 3305 MT Workstations. All of which are running Win7 32bit SP1 with all updates. Older PC's (Win7 32bit SP1 & WinXP) are unaffected. Using Google Chrome & Firefox makes no difference. Opening the website in IE9 Compatibility Mode has exactly the same symptoms. All PC's are on the same local network (Workgroup) using the same DNS server & gateway (inhouse) on the same internet connection, on the same subnet. There is no proxy server, no content filtering, no load balancing etc etc. Only group policy in effect (locally) is for Update scheduling. Local firewalls are all the same (Kaspersky WP4) and our external facing firewall has no IP specific settings. I have no control over the external website, traceroute shows the same destination on all PC's. It is a fairly popular website in our industry (Horticulture) and i'm not aware of any other people (even other sites within our sister companies) with the same problem. Update: Used Fiddler2 to monitor the HTTP request, seems its not getting fulfilled for some reason?! • Email sent from Centos end up in user spam folder

  I am facing this issue, I use the default postfix MTA in centos but the mail end up in user spam folder, but this does not seem to be a problem in Debian using exim4, both host have hostname and domain name configured, and relay mail through external smtp host. Both configuration and recieving email header are attached. The different seems that Debian has this additional (envelope tag) and (from) tag other than some minor syntax differences. Any help to resolve is appreciated. • Cannot open simple script application on mac

  Mac OS X 10.6 I created a very simple app, which is only a wrapper of a shell script (so that I can select this script in application selectors, like startup apps). I try to launch it and yesterday it worked, but today I changed the executable script's content and name (with something that perfeclty works in a shell script launched in the Terminal) and it will only display a Finder-iconed dialog saying Cannot open the application because it is not supported on this kind of Mac. I restored the previous script (content/name) but I still get the error! Same when re-bundling the app from scratch, or completely changing the bundle identifier… If I try to open it in the Terminal using open My.app, I get The application cannot be opened because it has an incorrect executable format. But when I executes directly the Contents/MacOS/Script, it allways works (iwth both contents). Also, it is displayed with correct icon and meta-information in the Finder (so I guess the Info.plist is understood). Actually, this is YOUR version of PHP which is not compiled correctly, and that uses the legacy ANSI version of the Win32 API (for compatibility with the legacy 16-bit versions of Windows 95/98 whose filesystem support in the kernel actually had no direct support for Unicode, but used an internal conversion layer to convert Unicode to the local ANSI codepage before using the actual ANSI version of the API). Recompile PHP using the compiler option to use the UNICODE version of the Win32 API (which should be the default today, and anyway always the default for PHP installed on a server that will NEVER be Windows 95 or Windows 98...) I can't confirm whether this is my problem or not. I used phpinfo() and did not find anything interesting, but I wasn't sure what to look for. I've been using XAMPP for easy installations, so I'm really not sure exactly how it was installed. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit - so forgive my ignorance, but I'm not even sure if "Win32" is relevant here. How can I check if my current version of PHP was compiled with the configuration mentioned above? • Squid not caching files (Randomly)

  I want to use an intercepting squid server to cache specific large zip files that users in my network download frequently. I have configured squid on a gateway machine and caching is working for "static" zip files that are served from an Apache web server outside our network. The files that I want to have cached by squid are zip files 100MB which are served from a heroku-hosted Rails application. I set an ETag header (SHA hash of the zip file on the server) and Cache-Control: public header. However, these files are not cached by squid. • Cannot open simplest mac application

  I created a very simple app, which is only a wrapper of a shell script (so that I can select this script in application selectors, like startup apps). I try to launch it and yesterday it worked, but today I changed the executable script's content and name (with something that perfeclty works in a shell script launched in the Terminal) and it will only display a Finder-iconed dialog saying Cannot open the application because it is not supported on this kind of Mac. I restored the previous script (content/name) but I still get the error! Same when re-bundling the app from scratch, or completely changing the bundle identifier… If I try to open it in the Terminal using open My.app, I get The application cannot be opened because it has an incorrect executable format. But when I executes directly the Contents/MacOS/Script, it allways works (iwth both contents). Also, it is displayed with correct icon and meta-information in the Finder (so I guess the Info.plist is understood). • Installing .NET application on IIS 7.5 issues

  Really need some help here. I am at a loss. I am trying to install a webservice that some other guy wrote in .NET. I have some basic IIS understanding. The webservice works just fine on my dev computer. But now i try to move the webservice to a production server and bad things happens. The webservice has been located in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ dir on the dev server. But on this production server it is to be located in D:\services\ I have managed to install an application on the production server and everything seems fine and dandy. But when i "Test Settings" in the initial setup i get "Invalid application path" error. But i can just close it down and still install it. But when i try to access the webservice with: http://myserver.com/webservice/GetData nothing happens. Just a blank page and when i check the response headers...500 error. I don´t know what is going on here or where the problem is. I post the config file here so someone hopefully might notice something odd. Thanx in advance! EDIT: The config file is from my dev server. I just copied it to my production server...but that obviously didn´t work :-) UPDATE: I noticed that my dev server run in an Application pool with Net 4 and in "classic" "mode". On the production server it was in NET 4 but in "integrated" mode. So i changed it to "classic". I still get a blank page. • Setting environment variables in OS X

  Despite the warning that questions that can be answered are preferred, this question is more a request for comments. I apologize for this, but I feel that it is valuable nonetheless. The problem to set up environment variables such that they are available for GUI applications has been around since the dawn of Mac OS X. The solution with ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist never satisfied me because it was not reliable, and bash style globbing wasn't available. Another solution is the use of Login Hooks with a suitable shell script, but these are deprecated. The Apple approved way for such functionality as provided by login hooks is the use of Launch Agents. I am not sure how secure this solution is, as it uses eval with user provided strings. It should be mentioned that Apple intended a somewhat similar approach by putting stuff in ~/launchd.conf, but it is currently unsupported as to this date and OS (see the manpage of launchd.conf). I guess that things like globbing would not work as they do in this proposal. Finally, I would mention the sources I used as information on Launch Agents, but StackExchange doesn't let me [1], [2], [3]. Again, I am sorry that this is not a real question, I still hope it is useful.

• I have a NGINX server configured to work with node.js, but many times a file of 1.03MB of js is not loaded by various browser and various pc

  I have gotten awesome advice from users on here for getting Exchange on Windows SBS 2008 set up. I think this is the final piece and I'm ready for roll-out! I need to set up Exchange so that it RECEIVES mail from our existing mail server as a Forward [aliases on the existing mail server to forward mail from [email protected] to [email protected]] (not using the POP3 Connector), and SENDS mail through that server as well (sends from [email protected] to [email protected] and then out to the world, showing in the headers as from [email protected] or at absolute least have the reply-to set as this). Alternatively, as long as the .net email address doesn't show in the From and replies are directed to the .com account, email can go from Exchange to the outside world without directing through the existing mail server. External Domain: domain.com Internal Domain: domain.local Internet Domain Name Set in SBS Console: domain.net When I go to http://remote.domain.net I get the Remote Web Workspace, and can login to both Sharepoint and OWA. I can send an email from OWA to a GMail account. I receive it from [email protected], which is an alias of [email protected]. I cannot, however, send an email from OWA to ANY domain.com email addresses. I am also not receiving any email to this Exchange account (except for NDRs). • Please verify my layout: bottom button keeps coming up over keyboard

  Hi everyone, I have a layout which does almost what I want. There's just one bug regarding the button at the bottom. I should stay at the bottom at all times. But whenever I bring up the soft-keyboard the button will be displayed above the keyboard. This is not what I want but it should become covered by the keyboard. Moreover, I'd be happy if you could comment on how the layout's built. • jquery ui draggable elements not 'draggable' outside of scrolling div

  hello all, i am super stumped. i have many elements (floating href tags) in a div with a set height/width, with scroll set to "overflow: auto" in the css. this is the structure of the divs: <div id="tagFun_div_main"> <div id="tf_div_tagsReturn"> <!-- all the draggable elements go in here, the parent div scolls --> </div> <div id=" tf_div_tagsDrop"> <div id="tf_dropBox"></div> </div></div> the parent div's, 'tf_div_tagsReturn' and 'tf_div_tagsDrop' will ultimately float next to each other. here is the jquery which is run after all of the 'draggable' elements have been created with class name 'tag_cell', : $(function() { $(".tag_cell").draggable({ revert: 'invalid', scroll: false, containment: '#tagFun_div_main' }); $("#tf_dropBox").droppable({ accept: '.tag_cell', hoverClass: 'tf_dropBox_hover', activeClass: 'tf_dropBox_active', drop: function(event, ui) { GLOBAL_ary_tf_tags.push(ui.draggable.html()); tagFun_reload(); } }); }); as i stated above, the draggable elements are draggable within div 'tf_div_tagsReturn', but they do not visually drag outside of that parent div. worthy to note, if i am dragging one of the draggable elements, and move the mouse over the droppable div, with id 'tf_dropBox', then the hoverclass is fired, i just can't see the draggable element any more. thank you very much for any advice on helping me find a solution. this is my first run at using jquery, so hopefully i am just missing something super obvious. i've been reading the documentation and searching forums thus far to no prevail :( thank you for your time.   I'm currently working on a small update to a project and I'm having an issue with Relative_Layout and fill_parent in a list view. I'm trying to insert a divider between two sections in each row, much like the divider in the call log of the default dialer. I checked out the Android source code to see how they did it, but I encountered a problem when replicating their solution. If I set the RelativeLayout's layout_height property to fill_parent, the divider does not scale vertically to fill the row (it just remains a 1px dot). If I set layout_height to "?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight", the divider fills the row, but the thumbnails shrink. I've done some debugging in the getView() method of the adapter, and it seems that the divider's height is not being set properly once the row has it's proper height. Here is a portion of the getView() method: public View getView(int position, View view, ViewGroup parent) { if (view == null) { view = inflater.inflate(R.layout.tag_list_item, parent, false); } The rest of the method simply sets the appropriate text and images for the row. Also, I create the inflater object in the adapter's constructor with: inflater = LayoutInflater.from(context); Am I missing something essential? Or does fill_parent just not work with dynamic heights?
