    hello I have my own textbox witch inherits System.Windows.Forms.TextBox I am trying to display texts like 5000000 formatted == 5,000,000 but the problem is that Control.Text should return 5000000 but it should display 5,000,000. I know it is WTF, but i really need it and i couldn't Google a lot because my native language is not English(and anyone can get it from my grammar and Im sorry for that).

  • Deserializing classes from XML generated using XSD.exe

    I have classes generated (using xsd.exe) from an .xsd that I can serialize just fine, but when I try and deserialize it, I get the error: {"<XMLLanguages xmlns='http://tempuri.org/XMLLanguages.xsd'> was not expected."} I've searched for a couple of hours and found most peoples problems lie in not declaring namespaces in their xsd/xml, not defining namespaces in their classes, etc, but I can't find a solution for my problem.     hi, i am looking for a way to implement the "gcd" function used in matlab in another language but i really cant understand the way it functions. it says in http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/ref/gcd.html that: "[G,C,D] = gcd(A,B) returns both the greatest common divisor array G, and the arrays C and D, which satisfy the equation: A(i).*C(i) + B(i).*D(i) = G(i)." but it says nothing about how it calculates C and D. i would be grateful if someone has a clearer idea about this subject! thanks:)

  • Can django's auth_user.username be varchar(75)? How could that be done?

    Is there anything wrong with running alter table on auth_user to make username be varchar(75) so it can fit an email? What does that break if anything? If you were to change auth_user.username to be varchar(75) where would you need to modify django? Is it simply a matter of changing 30 to 75 in the source code?: username = models.CharField(_('username'), max_length=30, unique=True, help_text=_("Required. 30 characters or fewer. Letters, numbers and @/./+/-/_ characters")) Or is there other validation on this field that would have to be changed or any other repercussions to doing so?   • Java annotations for design patterns?

    Is there a project that maintains annotations for patterns? For example, when I write a builder, I want to mark it with @Builder. Annotating in this way immediately provides a clear idea of what the code implements. Also, the Javadoc of the @Builder annotation can reference explanations of the builder pattern. Furthermore, navigating from the Javadoc of a builder implementation to @Builder Javadoc is made easy by annotating @Builder with @Documented. I've being slowing accumulating a small set of such annotations for patterns and idioms that I have in my code, but I'd like to leverage a more complete existing project if it exists. If there is no such project, maybe I can share what I have by spinning it off to a separate pattern/idiom annotation project.   • Can I write for .Net 4 using VS2008?

    The closest-related implementation in Haskell I have seen is the forward mode at http://hackage.haskell.org/packages/archive/fad/1.0/doc/html/Numeric-FAD.html. The closest related related research appears to be reverse mode for another functional language related to Scheme at http://www.bcl.hamilton.ie/~qobi/stalingrad/. I see reverse mode in Haskell as kind of a holy grail for a lot of tasks, with the hopes that it could use Haskell's nested data parallelism to gain a nice speedup in heavy numerical optimization.

    For things like menubars and headers, a background color is nice. But a background color that gracefully transitions from say Blue to White is even nicer. I know this can be done by making a 1-pixel wide, X-pixel tall image file containing the desired fade and repeating it across the div, but does CSS have native support to just define colors and be done with it? Can any other language handle this?
