    Is it possible to download a folder and its contents using air for android? I would like to also use the same code on iPhone. I need it to be stored in the application storage so we can reference the content once downloaded. I know it's possible to download content as referenced in this question: Download Content using Air For Android but can a person download the entire folder and again store it in the application directory?     I'm working on an application in C# with .Net 3.5. I have time zone value of the User is stored in DB with this format (-05:00,1), where -5.00 represents EST time zone value and the 1 indicates that this time zone follows daylight saving (if 0 not a daylight saving zone). Now I want to convert any date time value into this timezone value considering the daylight saving value. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

  • LInux C++: how do profile time wasted due to cache misses?

    I know that I can use gprof to benchmark my code. However, I have this problem -- I have a smart pointer that has an extra level of indirection (think of it as a proxy object). As a result, I have this extra layer that effects pretty much all functions, and screws with caching. Is there a way to measure the time my CPU wastes due to cache misses? Thanks!

The data inserted, btw, consists of a 100k+ records on average. Is it possible that it is causing the deadlock? What other pitfalls does using sp_xml_preparedocument have?

    This is sort of a follow-up to this question. If there are multiple blobs with the same contents, they are only stored once in the git repository because their SHA-1's will be identical. How would one go about finding all duplicate files for a given tree? Would you have to walk the tree and look for duplicate hashes, or does git provide backlinks from each blob to all files in a tree that reference it?

The service layer is unaware of the clients that utilitize its methods. Is it fine to propagate raw http requests into the service layer? Or is it bad practice and a violation of the loose coupling principles? If it is, then what's a clean workaround?

    I was wondering if it was safe to make GL calls with multiple threads. Basically I'm using a GLUtesselator and was wondering if I could divide the objects to draw into 4 and assign a thread to each one. I'm just wondering if this would cause trouble since the tesselator uses callback functions. Can 2 threads run the same callback at the same time as long as that callback does not access ant global variables? Are there also other ways I could optimize OpenGL drawing using multithreading?     I am currently using this ajax queuing plugin http://www.onemoretake.com/2009/10/11/ajaxqueue-and-jquery-1-3/ and it works fine, except weh ajax call 1 finishes, ajax call 2 starts that is dependent on a value that the success functions generates when ajax 1 is complete. Is there a way to start of all ajax calls when the previous call is complete and success function has been run? thanks

If the SDK does not provide this functionality, then how about using the NDK and calling some functions provided by the kernel? I know this option is not preferred (not stable enough libs), but if it's the only option, I'll have to consider that as well.

Now I would like to access the m_Browser (CWebBrowser class instance) defined inside the protected CMyBrowserView class into a different class.     Is there any functionality in IDL that will allow it to evaluate a a string as code? Or, failing that, is there a nice, dynamic way of including /KEYWORD in functions? For example, if I wanted to ask them for what type of map projection the user wants, is there a way to do it nicely, without large if/case statements for the /Projection_Type keyword it needs? With even a small number of user options, the combinations would cause if/case statements to get out of hand very quickly to handle all the possible options.
