  • Possible to launch command line air app?

    Is it possible to create a command line Abode Air app? I know thats not the intended use of the framework, but I have a lot of utility code written in as3, and I have a need to programatically run some utility functions from another app (not flash). I know I can pass command line parameters to the Air app, but I would like to avoid having a window pop up while the calculations are being made. Thanks.

  • Git: Find duplicate blobs (files) in this tree

    This is sort of a follow-up to this question. If there are multiple blobs with the same contents, they are only stored once in the git repository because their SHA-1's will be identical. How would one go about finding all duplicate files for a given tree? Would you have to walk the tree and look for duplicate hashes, or does git provide backlinks from each blob to all files in a tree that reference it?

    I have been playing with this webbrowser control example I got it working and added some timers using ON_WM_TIMER. Now I would like to access the m_Browser (CWebBrowser class instance) defined inside the protected CMyBrowserView class into a different class. (for example CMyBrowserApp in the code sample) and use .Navigate and other functions. How can I do this? (im using visual studio 6 c++)

    I am just starting with cpp and I've been following different examples to learn from them, and I see that buffer size is set in different ways, for example: char buffer[255]; StringCchPrintf(buffer, sizeof(buffer), TEXT("%s"), X); VS char buffer[255]; StringCchPrintf(buffer, 255*sizeof(char), TEXT("%s"), X); Which one is the correct way to use it? I've seen this in other functions like InternetReadFile, ZeroMemory and MultiByteToWideChar.

  • Can IDL evaluate strings as code?

    Is there any functionality in IDL that will allow it to evaluate a a string as code? Or, failing that, is there a nice, dynamic way of including /KEYWORD in functions? For example, if I wanted to ask them for what type of map projection the user wants, is there a way to do it nicely, without large if/case statements for the /Projection_Type keyword it needs? With even a small number of user options, the combinations would cause if/case statements to get out of hand very quickly to handle all the possible options.

    Hello everyone, When we met with such error message from store procedure, Message 1205, Level 13, State 52, the process Pr_FooV2, Line 9 Services (Process ID 111) and another process is deadlock in the lock | communication buffer resources, and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. I am wondering whether such messages are stored in log files? I searched log folder of my SQL Server 2008 installation root (in my environment, it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log), but can not find such files. thanks in avdance, George

    I use the applicationUpdater framework with an Air application. The delay property is set (in AS code) to 1 day. However, the application checks every time it is run: the delay property seems to be ignored.   • ASP.NET MVC - Where do you put your .js files if you dont want to store them in /Scripts?

    I have a number of .js files that I would like to be stored in the same directories as their views (they're specific to a view - its simply to keep the javascript separate from the view's HTML) However, adding them to the /Views/ControllerName/ directory wont work because when a request is made to the webserver for the .js file: <script type="text/javascript" src="/Views/ControllerName/myscript.js"></script> It would essentially be directed at the 'Views' controller which obviously doesnt exist.     I am stuck on how to pass data from one control to another. If I have a listbox control and the Contol Item contains a datatemplate which renders out 5 fields ( first name, last name, email, phone and DOB) all of which come from an observable collection. How can I allow the user to select a listbox item and have the valuesbe stored within a new listbox control? Is this done through the creation of a new collection or is there a more simple way to bind these values to a new control? thank you,

    With IOC I understand you can substitue implementations out by merely editing a configuration file etc. BUT, what happens when the classes are married to particular database tables and sprocs, you can't just swap out an implementation since the classes/entities are tied to particular tables and stored procedures.     JavaScript objects have no order stored for properties (according to the spec). Firefox seems preserve the order of definition of properties when using a for...in loop. Is this behaviour something that I can rely on? If not is there a piece of JavaScript code somewhere that implements an ordered hash type?
