Here is my question. I have tried to bring the getDetails.php code inside Index.php, and modify the getDetails function so that the var url be "Index.php?ImageID="... . When I do that, I get the following problem: the function does not display the snippet of text in the array, as it should. Instead it reproduces the entire code - the webpage, etc - and then at the bottom the expected snippet of text. Why is that?

  • FormView templates break when refactored to Master/Content

    Let's say I have an abstract class IA, with subclasses A1, A2, A3. For each subclass, I had a page with a FormView to insert/edit/view, with code specific to that class. The templates for insert/edit/view are all very similar, so it was mostly cut & paste, and the compiler had no problem that there were controls with the same IDs in the different templates. Something like this: <asp:FormView> <InsertItemTemplate> <asp:Label id="Label1" /> </InsertItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:Label id="Label1" /> </EdittItemTemplate> </asp:FormView> Much of the code/markup ended up being redundant across the pages, so I refactored it to use a master/content format, with the master page having content placeholders for the insert/edit/view templates. Master page: <asp:FormView> <InsertItemTemplate> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="InsertItemTemplate"></asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </InsertItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="EditItemTemplate"></asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </EdittItemTemplate> </asp:FormView> And content page: <asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderID="InsertItemTemplate"> <asp:Label id="Label1" /> </asp:Content> <asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderID="EditItemTemplate"> <asp:Label id="Label1" /> </asp:Content> In the content page templates, I'm doing the exact same thing I was doing before I refactored, but now the compiler is blowing up with the error BC30260: 'Label1' is already declared as 'Protected WithEvents Label1 As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label' in this class. For some reason, it's not separating the controls in the content blocks the same way it did when they were in the templates, even though the content placeholders are in the individual templates. Is there a way around this, other than to rename all my controls?

The div "ScriptContainer" sits in front of the whole thing and when the mouse enters or leaves the functions work exactly as they should. But IE8 places the text in front of everything and then the functions do not work as i would like them to. "ChangeBackcolourOFF" gets called every time the mouse enters the text, which sits in front of everything and "ChangeBackcolourON" gets called every time the mouse enters the "Scriptcontainer" from the text. So i either need to figure out how to force the text to be placed behind the "Scriptcontainer" or some other solutions. I appreciate you answers

  • Keeping WPF grids from getting out of parent bounds

    In my UI, I have a big grid with two columns and one row. in the right column, I have a grid with three rows where in the top row I have a user control, and in the two bottom rows I have two Expander objects, each containing an ItemsControl with a list that gets populated in runtime. Sometimes, that list gets really long and "spills" from the screen towards the bottom. What I want to do is to allow the user to see both expanders, be able to expand or collapse them while keeping them both in sight. I tried wrapping them in WrapPanels or StackPanel but to no avail.     I've started working on a simple XML pull-parser, and as I've just defuzzed my mind on what's correct syntax in XML with regards to certain characters/sequences, ignorable whitespace and such (thank you, http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_elements.asp), I realized that I still don't know squat about what can be sketched up as the following case (which Validome finds well-formed very much; note that I only want to use xml files for data storage, no entities, DTD or Schemas needed): <bookstore> <book id="1"> <author>Kurt Vonnegut Jr.</author> <title>Slapstick</title> </book> We drop a pie here. <book id="2">Who cares anyway? <author>Stephen King</author> <title>The Green Mile</title> </book> And another one here. <book id="3"> <author>Next one</author> <title>This time with its own title</title> </book> </bookstore> "We drop a pie here." and "And another one here." are values of the 'bookstore' element. "Who cares anyway?" is a value related to the second 'book' element. How are these processed, if at all? Will "We drop a pie here." and "Another one here." be concatenated to form one value for the 'bookstore' element, or are they treated separately, stored somewhere, affecting the outcome of the parsing of the element they belong to, or...?

I have the following dependency specified in my project's pom: <dependency> <groupId>org.jboss.client</groupId> <artifactId>jbossall-client</artifactId> <scope>compile</scope> </dependency> My project itself has to be the child of another pom. And in that one, the following is defined: <dependency> <groupId>jboss</groupId> <artifactId>jbossall-client</artifactId> <version>4.2.2</version> <scope>provided</scope> <type>jar</type> </dependency> When I now assembly my program, it seems that the "provided" scope of the parent pom overrides the scope of my project, since the jbossall-client-jar is not included in my assembly. Although it seems illogical to me, maybe it's this feature taking effect here. Do you know a way to include the dependency in my assembly without touching the parent pom?

    I'm developing an iPhone application. I have an EXC_BAD_ACCESS that occurs only in the release target; when I build the debug target the exception does not occur. However, when I set the NSZombieEnabled environment variable to YES, I still get the EXC_BAD_ACCESS with no further information. Is it even possible for NSZombieEnabled to work when executing the release target? I don't see why not, since gdb is running in both cases... It works for IE8/9 and FF but fails for Chrome and Safari.   • asp.net ajax toolkit combobox doesn't work in hidden div

    I have a combobox inside a hidden div which I use css display = none to make it invisible, but when I make the div visible by setting display = block, the combobox just show the input and its button and ul list all have css as display = 'none', visibility ='hidden'. I can tell it is done by combobox inbuild javascript because I tried to use javascript to set the css manually with no luck. It is a bug of combobox. Urgent help needed. I spent a week to solve this, and our team put a lot trust on the toolkit. Please help me on this, all javascript gurus, thanks. Below is the code to reproduce the bug. Now, I need to return them in a random order, and be able to specifically work with item 1, items 2-5, and items 6-17. Idea 1: Use this script to convert the object to an array, which I can shuffle through. This is close to working, but a few of the elements I need to get are under a different namespace, and I don't seem to be able to get them.   • Menu Control in Master Page fails to use CSS styles

    I'm working on a web application that uses ASP.NET 3.5 and C#. Structurally, I have a master page with a menu control on it. The control serves as my navigation, and it gets its items from a SiteMapDataSource control and a corresponding Web.sitemap file. The problem is that some styles do not render properly when you specify the CssClass property. More specifically, the selected and hover styles don't respond to css styles. Odd. Does anybody have any insight into what is causing this problem and how to neatly work around it? I'm aware I might be able to programmically determine the current page and select the corresponding menu item manually so it receives the proper style class, but before I resort to hacking C# and Javascript together to fix this functionality, I'm open to ideas.

    I'm having a strange behavior with NameScopes in WPF, I have created a CustomControl called FadingPopup which is a child class of Window with nothing special inside. <Window.Resources> <local:FadingPopup> <Button Name="prec" Content="ahah"></Button> <Button Content="{Binding ElementName=prec, Path=Content}"></Button> </local:FadingPopup> </Window.Resources> In this snippet, the binding doesn't work (always empty). If I move these buttons from the resources to the content of the window like this : <Window ...> <Button Name="prec" Content="ahah"></Button> <Button Content="{Binding ElementName=prec, Path=Content}"></Button> </Window> The binding works as expected. Now, I have tried a mix between these two snippets : <Window...> <Window.Resources> <local:FadingPopup> <Button Name="prec" Content="Haha"></Button> </local:FadingPopup> </Window.Resources> <Button Content="{Binding ElementName=prec, Path=Content}"></Button> </Window> It works as well. Apparently, if the button prec is in the resources it registers itself in the NameScope of the Window. BUT, it seems that the Binding tries to resolve ElementName with the NameScope of the FadingPopup (which is null), thus the binding doesn't work... My first snipped works well if I specify a NameScope in my class FadingPopup : static FadingPopup() { NameScope.NameScopeProperty.OverrideMetadata(typeof(FadingPopup), new PropertyMetadata(new NameScope())); } But I don't like this solution because I don't understand why, in the first snippet, prec is registered in the NameScope of Window, but ElementName is resolved with the NameScope of FadingGroup (which is null by default)... Does someone can explain to me what is going on ? Why my first snippet doesn't work, if I don't specify a default NameScope for FadingGroup ?
