• How can we disable the button in my iphone app?

  In my application, there is one button in the navigation bar. I want it to work only for the 1t click of the user. If he continousally presses on it 2 or 3 times just after the 1st click the button shouldnt recieve the following ones. How can I do this?   Hi guys, I'm very new to facebook platform. I developed an iframe app. which after allowing permsiions, opens the application on my server and not in facebook iframe. I hope i'm clear. I'm using $user = $facebook-require_login(). I read somewhere that adding $facebook-require_frame() would help but it didn't help. The page reloads with new access token on each reload. • In Linux, are there any plug-ins to let me do `<Win>`+`<Num>` style app switching (like Windows 7's superbar)?

  Using Windows 7's superbar, I can select/launch the 2nd application group by <Win>+<2>. We have DockbarX in GNOME, which is nice (grouping the windows like Windows 7), but it doesn't enable the <Win>+<2> style keybaord shortcuts. Any suggestions? This is not restricted to making Linux like Windows. But I just find the <Win>+<2> style shortcut very useful. Are there similar ways in Linux to quickly switch between specific apps without pressing <Alt>+<Tab> many many times?

• In a web app, is it wise to give log files ".txt" suffix?

  I am building a logging mechanism in a web application. Being a Windows man, I tend to give files with textual content the .txt ending. The suffix is automatically registered to be opened in a text editor in any Windows environment, and is just a nice convention. The app is going to be redistributed, and running mostly on Linux, though. The Linux convention for log files is .log. Is there any good reason on the Linux end, besides convention, why I should use .log? Any filters, real-life applications that could become relevant and that will work only with a .log suffix? Or can I merrily call it error_log.txt?

• Outlook Replies with Inline Comments

  I have a user who uses Word as his e-mail editor. Often when replying to an e-mail, he'll insert his comments into the body of the original e-mail. Since he is using Word as the editor, these show as [User Name] Comment Text in a contrasting color. However, some users see the comments in their Outlook, and others do not. I've tried Selecting/DeSelecting Word as the e-mail editor on the recipients, and it does not seem to make a difference. We are using Exchange 2007 with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 clients along with a few Entourage Clients. There does not seem to be a pattern related to which client is used, but Entourage seems to be more likely to have the problem. TIA, Bill

• Facebook Iframe App in Safari links to home page. Works OK in other Browsers.

  I have a facebook iframe that has several php files in it. In all tested browsers (IE,FFOX,Chrome) the links on the header work fine and go to the php files inside the iframe. When I tried this on Safari the links are reloading the whole app inside the iframe. Is like a recursive call because Its not like im having the home page reloaded inside the iframe but the whole facebook page WITH the iframe.. reloaded inside my iframe. The links are called using javascript with document.location.href="myPage.php"; Tryed placing target "_self" inside the link but this turned out weird : the iframe page was placed on top of everything, as if I had specified "_parent" on the target. Any help?

  Comment pointed out that this may fix my problem, and it did: Why don't mails show up in the recipient's mailspool? I use Postfix with Dovecot, and when I send an email from my gmail to my server, it is received at the server, but not at my email client using POP3. I can verify it being received at the server using the mail command.   I think there are a few similar questions that seem to suggest using app_data in the signed request (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/signed_request/) but I'm not sure if it will be possible to do what I am trying to achieve with it as I've never used it before. If I have my Facebook 'Tab' Url as follows: http://www.facebook.com/pages/PAGE_TITLE/PAGE_ID?sk=app_APP_ID What I want to do is add an extra parameter on the end as follows: &WT.mc_id=email-uk-8014 The reason for this is for tracking purposes and links will be sent out of the form http://www.facebook.com/pages/PAGE_TITLE/PAGE_ID?sk=app_APP_ID&WT.mc_id=email-uk-8014 and the extra parameter will allow us to track the campaign id. As you can see I have no way of knowing the value of the parameter beforehand as it depends on the link clicked by the user so is it possible to somehow get the value of the WT.mc_id parameter inside my iframe app?

• Steps to make sure network is not blacklisted...Again

  I have an interesting issue. I have a client that just got blacklisted due to spam being sent out over the last 2 days. I have my firewall configured to only allow mail to go outbound on port 25 from our mail server (Exchange 2010) exclusively and I have verified that there are no open relay's on our transport rules. We are running Vipre Business and after running deep scans with updated definitions all computers come back clean. I ran a message tracking report on our Exchange server that shows all mail sent via the mail server over the last couple of weeks and didn't see anything malicious or out of the ordinary. I have also verified that there are no home devices or rouge computers on the network. For all practical purposes it appears that the network is clean, but we still wound up on 5 or 6 blacklists...Where should I start looking next? Is there a "best practices" guide that can help eradicate this issue? Thanks in advance! msindle

I want to import the web application into aptana, run it and begin updating/editing - bit of steep learning curve for me What is the best way to import? And what should I import? What should it look like in aptanan? I tried importing what I think is the root file from the git folder ("existing folder as new project")- it contains things like css, doc, img and js. If a user right mouse clicks on a row, he can then, from a popup menu, select a command to perform on the row much like windows File Explorer. But now I want to be able to give the user the ability to construct a filter so that he can control which rows are displayed in the grid w/o effecting the functionality of the application. I would also like the user to be able to select the columns/fields that he sees in the grid. For the basis of this question, let's assume that the data displayed in grid comes from a single table. business Objects' Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence applications give me very flexible and powerful reporting capabilities, but I want to integrate this capability into my WinForm application. Does Business Objects, or maybe Crystal Reports provide this sort of functionality? I can construct my own query builder but I'd rather not reinvent sliced bread.

  I m a graphic designer and have created a website in Joomla that uses a "lightbox" (ignite gallery) plugin to view images from the site. I have created a facebook 'website' app that allows for comments to be posted via facebook in the lightbox (also a like button) - all of which are really just options that you allow in the ignite gallery options. Everything seems to work fine, I can comment and it will appear under the photo in the lightbox, as I asked it too, it also sends a copy of the comment to the commenter's facebook page with links. How do I also get the comments from the website (lightbox plugin) to also appear on the clients "fan page" that already exists?? Much appreciate any help..

• where do i put html files in my web-app folder for a lift project with maven?

  I'm new to Lift framework for scala. For some reason, index.html resides in the web-app directory, and when I start up jetty, http://localhost:8080/ will point to that index.html file just fine. However, if I put a login.html file in the same folder as the index.html, and then go http://localhost:8080/login, Lift does not serve the file. Where do I need to put the files to get them register? I am a little lost because the behaviour only seems to work for index.html and nothing else. • Emails Generated From Our Linux Server are Blocked By Our Exchange Server (That Has Barracuda)

  We have our company website hosted on a Linux machine. It is sending mail via postfix. The emails are working and being sent to all email clients like Gmail. However, we are not receiving the emails on our exchange server.
