• Password protect web pages on Windows CE 6

  I am using the default web server for WinCE 6 and wish to password protect certain folders. The default VROOT /remoteadmin/ is password protected, and this works but my configuration doesn't work. I have tried mimicking these settings on my own folders but to little success. Here is how one looks: In the HKLM\Comm\HTTPD\VROOTS key I have created a subkey called /web/configuration (this folder actually exists on the box). The following values are in this key A = 1 DefaultPage = config.html Path = /hard disk/webroot/web/configuration/ UserList = ADMIN This is nigh on identical to the settings in /RemoteAdmin/ but /RemoteAdmin/ requests a password and /web/configuration doesn't (even after reboot).

• Mail program splits link over two lines

  Hi, In C#, I'm sending a mail with an activation link to users after they have registered. However, the link is split over two lines in the mail and thus doesn't work. I've checked in Visual Studio and the string containing the link looks fine. I've also tried: strMessage.Replace("\r", ""); strMessage.Replace("\n", ""); but without success. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this? I've googled it for hours and can't find the solution... Thanks! /J

• Facebook Open Graph Debugger Error

  Hi I am new to programming and have tried to make a facebook app with open graph beta tutorial. I have done exactly as described in the tutorial but when i try to use the debug tool it gives me an error: Extraneous Property: Objects of this type do not allow properties named og:app_id. I have noticed and searched that its doing this because the tag needs to be <fb:app_id>. I checked my file it says fb:app_id only, but the raw data that pulls up on the debug tool shows meta property="og:app_id" content="267029796703617" even though i have changed and uploaded with fb:app_id. I have checked my page several times and tried some possible solutions but have had no success. Can someone help me fix this.

  I stumbled upon the definition of double.NaN in code: public const double NaN = (double)0.0 / (double)0.0; This is done similarly in PositiveInfinity and NegativeInfinity. double.IsNaN (with removing a few #pragmas and comments) is defined as: [Pure] [ReliabilityContract(Consistency.WillNotCorruptState, Cer.Success)] public static bool IsNaN(double d) { if (d != d) { return true; } else { return false; } } This is, by far, the most counterintuitive thing I have ever seen in the .NET framework. How is 0.0 / 0.0 represented "behind the scenes"? How can division by 0 be possible in double, and why does NaN != NaN?

  Hello, I have a form that I need to post and show the result in a div. I'm not having any problems making the ajax call but I can't seem to figure out how to load the result to a div. I have tried: $.ajax({ type: 'POST', data: $('#someForm').serialize(), url: 'http://somedomain.com/my/url', success: function(data) { $('#someDiv').load(data); } }); but it does not seem to work properly. I'm nit sure if this should even work but the result is the the page i'm posting from being loaded into the div and not the url I'm posting to. Any help would be great! Thanks!

  I need to open a new pop up window on click of a button in a view. The new window should be redirect to a specific actionmethod in a specific controller. I also need to provide attributes for size of the new pop up window.   What happens when I MPI_Send to a process that has finished? I am learning MPI, and writing a small sugar distribution-simulation in C. When the factories stop producing, those processes end. When warehouses run empty, they end. Can I somehow tell if the shop's order to a warehouse did not succeed(because the warehouse process has ended) by looking at the return value of MPI_Send? The documentation doesn't mention a specific error code for this situation, but that no error is returned for success. Can I do: if (MPI_Send(...)) { ... /* destination has ended */ ... } And disregard the error code? Thanks

Here's what I need: Everey minute the function shall check if it can load a certain page. if the connection succeeds, I want the page to be refreshed, if not, nothing shall happen, the script shall retry later.   I need to add scripting layer to my android App. So I can remotely prepare a script that my app download form a web service and execute on the user device. I found a interesting project called Scripting Layer for Android (SL4A) here: http://code.google.com/p/android-scripting/ I'm not sure I can execute Python script without installing the PythonForAndroid_r4.apk first. I can't force my customer to install that application! So my question is, can the SL4A layer be integrated in my app without the need to install other apk? I need to execute actions like update data in the DB, create/read/delete a file on the sd card... Not so complex but I see SL4A can do a lot of things like these. Other scripting libraries? EDIT: Found also MVEL: http://mvel.codehaus.org/ but I think it needs to be integrated to execute complex operations like accessing a DB...

  I am trying to write a PHP-MySQL database processor that is somewhat intelligent. When this processor decides it needs to make an update, I want to report if it was really successful or not. I thought I could use mysql_affected_rows... // Example: // After running query "UPDATE mytable SET name='Test' WHERE ID=1" $result = mysql_affected_rows(); if ($result >= 1) { /* Success */ } If, for example, there was no row with ID=1, then $result would be 0. However, it turns out that PHP's mysql_affected_rows is the actual affected rows, and may be still be 0 if the row exists but name was already "Test". (The PHP docs even say this is the case). If I run this in the command line, I get the following meta information about the query: Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.01 sec) Rows matched: 1 Changed: 0 Warnings: 0 Is there any way for me to get that "Rows matched" value in PHP instead of the affected rows?

• Buttons size not equal in IE and Firefox

  I have few buttons on my jsp page and I am using the style as : .buttonblue { background-color: #003366; border-color: #99CCFF; color: #FFFFFF; font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica; font-size: 8pt; font-weight: bold; height: 20px; display:inline; line-height: 1.2; text-align: center; margin-top: 2px; } In Firefox the buttons are bit smaller than IE6. I can not define the size of buttons as the caption changes the button size changes accordingly. I tried with width:auto but no success. Also, with overflow:visible the buttons in IE becomes bit smaller. Please help.

I have checked if the file exists and if it's in the same directory and whatever and it is, so I'm pretty much clueless atm. Does anyone know what could be wrong here? Cheers.
