    I have create a java applet program and compiled, it generates a class file. while running the applet viewer in command prompt it shows a following warning message. D:\Applets\Appletsappletviewer FirstApplet.java Warning: Can't read AppletViewer properties file: C:eswaran_s.VMSPL.hotjava\properties Using defaults. After I have run this command once again, it does not shows a warning messsage but the applet viewer is not running. How can I solve this issue?

  • Does anyone know of a good guide to configure GC in Java?

    I'm having trouble with a JVM running an app, whose heap memory looks like a comb. It's constantly jumping from 1.5 GB to 3 GB and slowly deteriorating to higher values. I'm using G1 GC algorithm, but have no idea how to configure it. I do not have access to the code of the app I'm running and, needless to say, it's a rather large app. So, bottom line, does anyone know of a good guide to configure GC in Java?

  • Login screen delay in CentOS 5.4 x64

    I was happily running my CentOS 5.4 before something bad happened that somehow corrupted the 'nautilus' package. It stopped me from using the default Gnome Desktop. Then I installed (using yum) the KDE and nautilus later on. Now, KDE is running perfectly with one exception that it takes around 10 minutes before showing up the Login Screen and only a blue screen with mouse pointer keeps showing during those 10 minutes. The following does what I want but seems ugly: if echo $* | grep -e "--flag" -q then echo ">>>> Running with flag" else echo ">>>> Running without flag" fi Is there a better way? Note: I explicitly don't want to list all the flags in a switch/getopt. (And BTW the bodies of the if just set a set of vars)

    How do I kill a process which is running in bash - for example, suppose I open a file: $ gedit file.txt is there any way within the command prompt to close it? This example is fairly trivial, since I could just close the window, but it seems to come up a bit, particularly when I mistype commands. Also is there any way to escape an executable which is running? This probably has the same solution, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks

  • breakpoints not working properly on device with iOS 4.2.1 on Xcode 4.2

    That seems odd to me, but apparently, Xcode 4.2 doesn't recognice breackpoints properly on my iPod Touch 2G running iOS 4.2.1, while it does on my other Ipod Touch 4G running iOS 6.0 Both devices are enabled for development, and their debug symbols information are retrieved from both devices and copied into ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport/... The only thing that seems suspect to me is that 4.2.1 is missing on /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/... I have 4.2 and 4.3 but nothing in between any help is appreciated

  • Is there a way to flush html to the wire in Sinatra

    I have a Sinatra app with a long running process (a web scraper). I'd like the app flush the results of the crawler's progress as the crawler is running instead of at the end. I've considered forking the request and doing something fancy with ajax but this is a really basic one-pager app that really just needs to output a log to a browser as it's happening. My machine is "windows 7" the returned value is "windows vista" ! Seems wrong, very wrong. and yes I am sure that I am running the app on a windows 7 machine... Run !heap -p -a to get additional information about the allocation." I guess that's when you are running in Windbg, is there any way to access the allocation stack trace from inside Visual Studio ?

    How can I send trace messages to the console (like print) when I'm running my Django app under manage.py runserver, but have those messages sent to a log file when I'm running the app under Apache?     Hi, when running a Java application as service with the user 'LocalService', the temp directory ("java.io.tmpdir") points to 'c:/windows/temp' (for example). Running a Java application normally gives 'c:/documents and settings/user/local settings/temp' instead.
