  • How do I echo $command without breaking the layout

    Hi. I'm trying to do the following in a bash script: com=`ssh host "ls -lh" ` echo $com It works, but the echo will break the output (instead of getting all lines in a column, I get them all in a row). If I do: ssh host ls -lh in the CLI it will give me the correct output + layout. Any ideas?

  • Unable to install Maven: "JAVA_HOME is set to an invalid directory"

    I followed the Maven tutorial to the letter but I still can't get Maven installed. When I run the following in command prompt: E:\Documents and Settings\zach>mvn --version I get: 'mvn' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I navigated to the maven install folder and ran mvn --version and got: E:\java resources\apache-maven-2.2.0\bin>mvn --version ERROR: JAVA_HOME is set to an invalid directory. JAVA_HOME = "E:\Sun\SDK\jdk\bin" Please set the JAVA_HOME variable in your environment to match the location of your Java installation but when I run java -version I get: java version "1.6.0_14" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_14-b08) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode) So I do have Java installed. Anyone know what the problem is?

    Hi Is there a way for a right click event to select a row in toolkit datagrid? I'm using toolkit context menu which works nicely, but the problem is, only left click is able to select rows, and I need right click to be able to do that if I want my context menu to work properly.     Hi, I was expecting an compilation error in the following program because of the throw statement in the catch block as IOException is a checked exception and it is not caught by another try block within the catch block. But I am getting "Hurray!" printed. Any explanation would be much appreciated.   • How can I get a custom UITableView to automatically scroll to a selected text field?

    I have a UITableView, which I am controlling from a custom UIViewController. When the user clicks the 'add' button, I add a row to the UITableView with a text field in it, and make it the first responder. The problem is, when the bottom of the table is out of view (or hidden by the keyboard), the UITableView doesn't scroll to bring the text field into view. UITableViewController does this automatically, but my View Controller can't be a subclass of UITableViewController.

I want to create a delegate function for row mouseenter and mouseleave which only triggers for the associated main table rows (and not inner tables rows), as following: $("#tableid").delegate("tr", "mouseenter mouseleave", function(e) { //do stuff here }); But with this selector it selects also the inner table rows, so how can I modify the selector to avoid selecting inner table rows?

    I have a basic XML object that I'm working with. I can't figure out how to access the parts of it.     I am creating an application which tracks the users location using GPS, stores the longitude and latitude in a database using a content provider then output the first long and lat to a mapview. I am able to create the cursor using this line of code: Cursor c = getContentResolver().query(GPSContentProvider.CONTENT_URI, null, null, null, null); startManagingCursor(c); However, when I make a call to move to the first row in the database or even try to close the cursor using c.close(); I receive a NullPointerException.

    If i have DataGrid which looks like: Col 1 Col 2 ------- ------- 1 a 2 b 3 c ... ... n n Can the order be reversed easily without sorting? So that n is first, and 1 is last. I have custom sort implemented from this article, but sorting the same column twice in a row calls sorting function twice (which is slow), so just reversing the order should be faster and have the same effect.

    I need to check if I Filesystem exists, and if it does exist there is 300 MB of space in it. What I have so far: if [ "$(df -m /opt/IBM | grep -vE '^Filesystem' | awk '{print ($3)}')" < "300" ] then echo "not enough space in the target filesystem" exit 1 fi This throws an error. I don't really know what I'm doing in shell. My highest priority is AIX but I'm trying to get it to work for HP and Sun too. Please help. -Alex

    Hi I've been working on a project in Netbeans. Now I'd like to submit it and allow the markers to compile it with a script. However, I get the NoClassDefFoundError when I try to run via the command line.
