    Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had any good tutorials around creating a gmail inbox star (favorite) ? EDIT: I guess I want to create something just like the stackoverflow star or gmail inbox star. I have a set of list items that i've added several controls to. One being a checkbox (for archiving, or batch deleting) and another I have a placeholder checkbox for favoriting. I'm just curious as to what the best approach is for making it snazzy with jquery.

  • Can't connect Gtalk from external services like meebo, or clients like iChat and Adium

    I've been using Gtalk from the beginning, usually with the clients Adium and iChat, but suddenly my account stop working for those clients and other external services like meebo.com, the weird thing (for me) is that my username and password is fine since I can login without problems to any other service like Gmail, and from there I can use talk, the windows official client also works, any clues on what's going on?

  • Emails from Google Apps to custom SMTP server delayed by 1 hour consistently

    The outgoing mails from Google Apps/Gmail to our own custom SMTP server are getting delayed by 1 hour consistently. mxtoolbox.com diagnostics of our custom SMTP server are looking OK. Our custom SMTP server is receiving emails from other sources (yahoo, hotmail etc.) on time. Looking at the SMTP logs show a delay in a google intermediate SMTP server.     It is noticeably faster to send and receive mail on my iPhone than on my MacBook, both through a Gmail IMAP account. (I'm still using Leopard, though.) I have a few rules set up in Mail, but it seems like the slowdown on the Mac is in the communication to Google's servers. Any explanations?

  • How do I config postfix to use multiple google apps user accounts?

    I have a postfix installation and have setup relaying through google apps, but when I send mail to postfix it relays it to google apps using the ONE account I have specified in the main.cf. Is there a way to do this more dynamically. Ideally, the user would authenticate with postfix when sending mail and postfix would use that username and password to authenticate against gmail. Is that possible or what would be the next best solution? Thanks in advance

It shows me the new email twice when notifying because it appears in both the inbox and All Mail folders. I know I can just unsubscribe to the All Mail folder, but then I can't back it up like many people do with Thunderbird. How do I set Thunderbird to notify me of new emails in only certain folders?

It's very useful, however, the notifications disappear too quickly (in about 5 seconds) and I couldn't find a way to change the display time. Ideally, I would like the notification to stay for a few minutes if there is no user activity (or about 15 seconds if there is user activity). Is that possible?

    I started using the old confbot python conference script in 2005 for my family. This essentially implements an IRC like conference room over Google Talk (or any Jabber/XMPP server). It has significantly increased family communication, and has become rather indispensable due to this. Recently it's begun to have severe problems (people can't see each other in the conference room) which has nearly killed the usefulness of it. Before I develop my own software or debug confbot (probably not - it uses an older jabber library that hasn't been updated since 2003) I wanted to see what other solutions exist that meet our needs: Supports Google Talk (Sorry, I'm not going to try to convince everyone involved to move to a new IM or other client) Free and open source (ideal, but not required) Runs on Windows (Not a web service run by someone else) Implements basic functionality such as kick/ban, emotes Remembers who joined the conference room across restarts Obeys Do Not Disturb and Busy status Archives all activity -Adam

  • Converting a GMail Label Mailbox to a Set of PDFs

    I do have a rather large task to do: I need to convert a folder in my gmail with lots of tagged messages either as a large PDF (which Adobe Acrobat does on Outlook - Except the latter crashes while loading this mailbox) or as a individual PDF (which I plan to link on a Wiki Database) While it doesn't fully need to be in PDF (as long as I can, say, outsource to someone else to convert each .eml file as a .pdf file), I need to have them splitted so I could cross-reference them on a Wiki. What would you suggest to accomplish this task? Thank you.

  • Thunderbird "undo send" feature (like in Gmail)?

    I was wondering if there exists a thunderbird addon that gives similar functionality as Google's "undo send" feature? This basically just delays the sent message for a few seconds allowing the user to cancel the send if desired. I find this very useful in Gmail and would love the option now that I started using thunderbird. I've seen the send later addon, but this isn't really what I want. I want something very similar to Google's feature where it automatically delays each message before sending with an easy to access option to cancel the send. Thanks!

    I have been looking for a while on setting up an MTA for bugzilla to receive bugs via email and am not really seeing any detailed guides. Currently I am using gmail as the outbound smtp for messages, but I do not have a solution for the receiving of emails as bugs. I am assuming I would setup an MTA and it would grab down the emails and then bugzilla would read them somehow.     i've registered a domain, and went to create a google apps account with that. but google told me they don't accept .ir domains, possibly trying to prevent us from building bombs (which completely makes sense), or simply lack of interest. anyway. so now i'm seeking for a way to use gmail, but with my own domain name, all without using google apps. i've added my domain to a free dnspark.net account, and it doesn't have mail forwarding, but i can set MX records. is there anyway i could accomplish my task? or is it completely impossible?
