• SPF from neutral to positive

  I need to be able to configure SPF rule for my domain. Problem is that I can normally receive all the emails. But when I send to some recipients they receive it as spam. In the mail failure delivery I always see SPF as neutral. How can I change this settings? I found a Microsoft tool program and I get something like this: v=spf1 a mx mx:mail.code2future.com +all Where do I insert this? I have cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC1) Thank you

• Keeping shortcuts in Windows XP current (automatically)?

  Hello, In Windows XP Pro (SP2), there seems to be no way to have shortcuts automatically updated so they can stay connected to their target files or folders after the latter have been moved or renamed. So I'm looking for more efficient ways of reconnecting broken shortcuts with their moved or renamed targets than manually deleting them and re-creating new ones (this can be quite a chore if you reorganize your files and folders often, resulting in a lot of shortcuts to fix); and I'd like to find out if there are any PC programs that can monitor shortcuts on Windows XP and automatically fix them when their target files or folders get moved or renamed. Any suggestions on this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, NT

• Monitor disk I/O for specific drive in OS X

  In my Macbook Pro, I have two internal drives and I've connected a third drive via USB in enclosure. I am currently doing a secure wipe of the external drive and I was interested in seeing what the disk I/O was for that particular drive, but when I use Activity Monitor I only see the total disk usage for all drives combined. Is there any way to monitor a specific drive's total I/O, preferably via a built-in or free method? I don't want to filter by process ID. I just want to filter by mounted disk.

• How to enable/disable authentication without password when executing commands as superuser?

  On a Fedora 19 system which I set up for somebody a while ago I noticed that no authentication is required when commands are executed as the superuser. So, for example, when running Yum Extender, configuring the firewall or running some command with sudo in the terminal, I am not asked to provide a password. (With graphical applications the authentication dialog pops up for a few milliseconds.) For better security I would like to disable this automatic (authentication-less) assumption of superuser privileges. I do not remember if or how I enabled this authentication without a password. I might have enabled it for convenience for the non-pro user of this machine, but did not do any "fancy" things (like editing config files) to do so. I did not edit the sudoer file. I just checked that. I might have checked a "Do not ask for password again" checkbox or something similar. Whatever I did, I would like to undo it and enforce authentication for superuser tasks again.

• No SATA drives after PSU Upgrade

  I know this sounds a lot like this but I just confirmed that my MBR is fine as well as the SSD drive in question. What happened: I upgraded my be-quiet 700w PSU to the 1000w dark power pro. When I tried booting the system and none of the drives (all SATA) were detected, resulting in the "Boot device failure" error. After that I unplugged all but the boot drive, triple checked that all cables were in fact nice and tight inside their sockets, replaced both e-SATA and power cables ; still with the same outcome. Finally I reconnected my old PSU and sure enough the PC booted without any hassle (except of course for the direful construction that is currently occupying my desk). Does anybody have any advice on how to proceed? Surely, it is possible the PSU is faulty but are there other explanations? Thanks in advance PS. if of any help: Motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-PH67A-UD3-B3 H67 LGA 1155

• Clone/mirror a textbox in a PDF form

  I've got a PDF form in Acrobat X Pro where users can enter their name in a textbox on the first page. I would like the contents of that box to be cloned/mirrored in another box on the second page of the same form: However, in the Properties dialog of the second textbox, I can't find a way to reference the first one. I do have options to calculate numerical values and perform validation etc. etc., but I can't seem to simply have it display the contents of another textbox. Is this not possible in PDF forms, or am I overlooking something obvious?

• iTunes Update 11.0 will not install on my Macbook

  I try to update my iTunes to version 11 but every time I open iTunes after the restart it shows me an error message that states, "An Unknown Error Occurred (-42408)". The same thing happens when I try to install it using the stand alone installer from the apple website. iTunes still opens but remains as version 10.7 (21) and dosent update. I have tried this numerous times and I keep getting the same results. I have also looked all over online but none of them give me a solution that works. My system is a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2) Thanks.

• Windows 7 user limitation

  I just installed Windows 7 pro x64 from Dreamspark (MSDNAA). But i can't figure out how to configure it. 1/ When I want to acces some folders a pop up show up and tells me "that I need administrator acces to do it" I click the "continue" button and I can go inside the folder. What was even the point in showing me this pop up? how can I remove it? 2/ In some folder when I do a right clic I can only create a new folder, not a new text file, not a rar, nothing. In the same folder I also cannot extract RAR (by doing right clic, extract here) Any Idea how to get back full control? Thanks.

• why is the address bar black in Google chrome so you cannot see what you're typing ?

  The address bar background color in Google Chrome is black. I cannot see what I'm typing. What's going on? This is a problem when you're typing in a URL you've never used before (so there's no matching history). Type in a URL you've never used before. Imagine someone is giving it to you over the phone. Make a typo somewhere. Use the back arrow to go back and correct it. You cannot see where the cursor is. This just started happening yesterday. I'm on WinXP Pro.

• samsung netbook OS for clean install

  Hello - I recently had a problem with a corrupted registry on a samsung N120. When all else failed i reformatted the drive. However having bought the machine with windows home ed pre-installed, I didn't have original windows disck for the clean install. So I managed to install another edition of windows XP (PRO this time). Now windows opens, but several key functions are missing. e.g.: screen resolution - will not allow me any but 800x600 resolution native buttons - such as the fn + screen brightness is not working at all. Any suggestions please? ? Is there a way to get the samsung OS online (since I do have the manufacturer's/installed product key)? thanks PS: It has been my intention to install ubuntu, but i need to know i will not lose functions like screen brightness, volume, and the trackpad's scrolling function. I'd be happy to bypass the windows option if i was sure to have full keyboard/samsung functionality

• Why does Mac OS X auto-mount the (disabled) home folder?

  I've just bought a MacBook Pro. Now I'm trying to build up a filesystem (just some path) that looks like my Ubuntu server. By doing so, I can reuse a lot of the scripts I've written before. I found that Mac OS X auto mounts home with map auto_home, which prevents me from even making a symbolic link. I managed to solve this problem from the solution here. It mentioned that Time Machine will auto-exclude the home folder. But I'm wondering why, this is confusing.

• Can't get to the login screen

  I upgraded my wife's Windows 7 machine, to Windows 8 Pro, about 10 days ago. She's been using it fine ever since. We typically leave our desktops running 24/7, and just turn off the monitor. This morning she turned the monitor on, and saw the screen with the Seattle Space Needle, and then she pressed the enter key to get to the login screen. Nothing happened. Next she pressed the mouse key. Nothing happened. The mouse moves around fine. But we can't get it past the Seattle Space Needle screen. She replaced the batteries in both her keyboard and mouse recently. So, what's going on? How do we fix it?

• all USB "randomly" disconnect and reconnect

  I'm having a weird issue currently: at seemingly random times(although it seems to happen mostly when USB is used a lot, ie downloading + uploading over my WiFi stick or viewing an HD video from my external hard-drive) all my USB devices disconnect and reconnect after a few seconds. This wouldn't be a HUGE problem if I didn't have to rely on my USB for my internet, because now every time this happens my internet, and with it stuff like remote desktop, crashes. I'm running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit with a Gigabyte 990FXA-D3 motherboard. Now the weird thing: I had the same problem with my previous pc, which had a different motherboard(I think it was an Asus M4A785TD-V EVO). I googled a bit and didn't really find anything about this, only found out I could check if something shows up in the Event Viewer, and I get this error there when the USB crashes: "A timeout occurred while waiting for the EHCI host controller Interrupt on Async Advance Doorbell response." If you require any extra information I'm happy to provide it.

• Customise on screen keyboard

  How would one go about customising the on screen keyboard on a Microsoft Surface Pro? I've noticed that it doesn't have an alt or Esc key and I can't think of any good reason why those keys, among others, should not be there. In particular I want to use keys such as [ and ]. Also there are no up and down arrow keys. I already have a type cover but sometimes I'd like to use those keys without having the type cover attached. Ideally I'd like a way to enable those missing keys and perhaps to remove the ones that I don't want, such as the emoticon key.

• Folder access per user

  I have sbs 2003 r2. I have a shared folder (s-drive) for all shared info for everyone. when user is on shared folder, you see size of folder 230G. I have one user that only sees 1g when on shared folder. I have pcs using XP pro. Have check quota and they say no quota limit checked. I had user use a different pc and still same result. With this I looked at server and users profile and compared with user that did not have problem. could not see anything different. what did I miss in some option or do I have to rebuild user? I have tried google with different terms but have not gotten any good clues

When the PC is directly connected to the router, everything works fine, Ubuntu (14.04) starts normally, and the Internet connection runs inmediately. With just a few tweaks you can make Live Mail minimize to the system tray just like in earlier versions of Windows. Windows Live Mail in Windows Vista In Windows Vista you could minimize Windows Live Mail to the system tray if desired using the context menu… Windows Live Mail in Windows 7 In Windows 7 you can minimize the app window but not hide it in the system tray. The Hide window when minimized menu entry is missing from the context menu and all you have is the window icon taking up space in your taskbar. How to Add the Context Menu Entry Back Right click on the program shortcut(s) and select properties. When the properties window opens click on the compatibility tab and enable the Run this program in compatibility mode for setting. Choose Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) from the drop-down menu and click OK. Once you have restarted Windows Live Mail you will have access to the Hide window when minimized menu entry again. And just like that your taskbar is clear again when Windows Live Mail is minimized. If you have wanted the ability to minimize Windows Live Mail to the system tray in Windows 7 then this little tweak will fix the problem. Building a PC with specific components and installing Mac OS X on it can save you thousands of dollars you might spend on a real Mac. And now, it’s time to step into the portable world. Today we will show how you can turn an HP ProBook (or any compatible Sandy Bridge laptop) into a 95% MacBook Pro! Why should (or shouldn’t) you do it? Let’s clarify whether or not it should be done. Firstly, we all know Apple makes awesome laptops. The design, build quality, and the aesthetics (not to mention, the glowing Apple) would make you crave for one. Secondly, all these Apple laptops are bundled with Mac OS X, which (for some people) is the most user-friendly and annoyance-free operating system. Digital artists, musicians, video editors, they all prefer Mac for a reason. So the verdict is, if hardware design is what you really look for, you should get a real Mac, and we are not at all stopping you from doing so. But if you’re only concerned with the OS (and saving a few bucks in your pocket), you may consider giving this a shot. But remember, it may not perform as good as a real Mac does. If you recall, on Sunday I blogged about not voting against a candidate and, instead, voting for a candidate.  As promised, this is the first post of 25. Meet Tom Hoefling of America’s Party In addition to being America’s Party nominee, he’s also the national chairman of the party.  Mr. Hoefling also served as the political director for Alan Keyes’ political group America’s Revival.  He is a representative for the American Conservative Coalition.  Mr. Hoefling is on the ballot in:  CA, CO, FL and is a qualified write-in candidate in IN. America’s Party This party was originally known as “America’s Independent Party” and considers itself conservative. The following describes their standing on specific issues. * Tax Reform – The party seeks to reform the tax structure by advocating the repeal of the 16th Amendment, and despite the fact that many members support the FairTax, the platform remains open on what to replace the Federal income tax with. * Other - The party supports the Federal Marriage Amendment being added to the U.S. Constitution.
