  • How to use symbols/punctuation characters in discriminated unions

    - by user343550
    I'm trying to create a discriminated union for part of speech tags and other labels returned by a natural language parser. It's common to use either strings or enums for these in C#/Java, but discriminated unions seem more appropriate in F# because these are distinct, read-only values. In the language reference, I found that this symbol ``...`` can be used to delimit keywords/reserved words. This works for type ArgumentType = | A0 // subject | A1 // indirect object | A2 // direct object | A3 // | A4 // | A5 // | AA // | ``AM-ADV`` However, the tags contain symbols like $, e.g. type PosTag = | CC // Coordinating conjunction | CD // Cardinal Number | DT // Determiner | EX // Existential there | FW // Foreign Word | IN // Preposision or subordinating conjunction | JJ // Adjective | JJR // Adjective, comparative | JJS // Adjective, superlative | LS // List Item Marker | MD // Modal | NN // Noun, singular or mass | NNP // Proper Noun, singular | NNPS // Proper Noun, plural | NNS // Noun, plural | PDT // Predeterminer | POS // Possessive Ending | PRP // Personal Pronoun | PRP$ //$ Possessive Pronoun | RB // Adverb | RBR // Adverb, comparative | RBS // Adverb, superlative | RP // Particle | SYM // Symbol | TO // to | UH // Interjection | VB // Verb, base form | VBD // Verb, past tense | VBG // Verb, gerund or persent participle | VBN // Verb, past participle | VBP // Verb, non-3rd person singular present | VBZ // Verb, 3rd person singular present | WDT // Wh-determiner | WP // Wh-pronoun | WP$ //$ Possessive wh-pronoun | WRB // Wh-adverb | ``#`` | ``$`` | ``''`` | ``(`` | ``)`` | ``,`` | ``.`` | ``:`` | `` //not sure how to escape/delimit this ``...`` isn't working for WP$ or symbols like ( Also, I have the interesting problem that the parser returns `` as a meaningful symbol, so I need to escape it as well. Is there some other way to do this, or is this just not possible with a discriminated union? Right now I'm getting errors like Invalid namespace, module, type or union case name Discriminated union cases and exception labels must be uppercase identifiers I suppose I could somehow override toString for these goofy cases and replace the symbols with some alphanumeric equivalent?

  • wordpress extended_valid_elements for script tag?

    - by John
    Can someone tell me how to tell Wordpress' tinymce editor to NOT strip out script tags? I looked in wp-admin/includes/post.php and added 'extended_valid_elements'=>'script[charset|defer|language|src|type]', to the $initArray. When I do a view source on the CMS post editor, I see taht it does show up like so: <script type="text/javascript"> /* <![CDATA[ */ tinyMCEPreInit = { base : "http://dev.esolar.ca/wp-includes/js/tinymce", suffix : "", query : "ver=327-1235", mceInit : {mode:"specific_textareas", editor_selector:"theEditor", width:"100%", theme:"advanced", skin:"wp_theme", theme_advanced_buttons1:"bold,italic,strikethrough,|,bullist,numlist,blockquote,|,justifyleft,justifycenter,justifyright,|,link,unlink,wp_more,|,spellchecker,fullscreen,wp_adv", theme_advanced_buttons2:"formatselect,underline,justifyfull,forecolor,|,pastetext,pasteword,removeformat,|,charmap,|,outdent,indent,|,undo,redo,wp_help", theme_advanced_buttons3:"", theme_advanced_buttons4:"", language:"en", spellchecker_languages:"+English=en,Danish=da,Dutch=nl,Finnish=fi,French=fr,German=de,Italian=it,Polish=pl,Portuguese=pt,Spanish=es,Swedish=sv", theme_advanced_toolbar_location:"top", theme_advanced_toolbar_align:"left", theme_advanced_statusbar_location:"bottom", theme_advanced_resizing:"1", theme_advanced_resize_horizontal:"", dialog_type:"modal", relative_urls:"", remove_script_host:"", convert_urls:"", apply_source_formatting:"", remove_linebreaks:"1", gecko_spellcheck:"1", entities:"38,amp,60,lt,62,gt", accessibility_focus:"1", tabfocus_elements:"major-publishing-actions", media_strict:"", paste_remove_styles:"1", paste_remove_spans:"1", paste_strip_class_attributes:"all", wpeditimage_disable_captions:"", plugins:"safari,inlinepopups,spellchecker,paste,wordpress,media,fullscreen,wpeditimage,wpgallery,tabfocus"}, load_ext : function(url,lang){var sl=tinymce.ScriptLoader;sl.markDone(url+'/langs/'+lang+'.js');sl.markDone(url+'/langs/'+lang+'_dlg.js');} }; /* ]]> */ </script> But for some reason ,my editor still doesn't save <script> tags. What am I doing wrong?

  • JqueryUI dialog box causes button to lose styling

    - by superexsl
    Hey everyone, I'm using JQueryUI dialog boxes and, while it works, it seems to remove any CSS styling on the button that opens the dialog. I have to manually refresh the page to get the styling back. An example button which launches the dialog: (button_submit is my CSS theme and launc_popup is used to detect the button click in JQuery. <asp:Button ID="btnLaunch" CssClass="button_sub launch_popup" runat="server" Text="Dialog..." CausesValidation="false" OnClientClick="return false;" /> My jquery: $('.launch_popup').click(function() { $("#dialog-form").dialog("open"); }); My dialog-form: $("#dialog-form").dialog({ autoOpen: false, height: 300, width: 300, modal: true, buttons: { 'Close': function() { $(this).dialog('close'); } } }); This happens to all the buttons that open dialogs. Is there a way to 'restyle' the button without refreshing the page? (It's in an updatepanel if that makes a difference, although this bit's client-side so not sure if that should affect it). Thanks for any help

  • How to show a server side error message in a popup using php

    - by Fero
    Hi all, I found some of the similar questions here but they are all in C#. So kindly tell me the easiest way to show the server side error message using popup. The popup may be anything like thickbox, modalpopup etc... Here is the sample code. I didn't get the error message in the popup. <script type="text/javascript" src="thickbox/jquery-latest.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="thickbox/thickbox.js"></script> <link href="thickbox/thickbox.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <span class="prtexterror" style="color:#FF0000;display:none;" id="hiddenModalContent" >{$error_login}</span> {literal} <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { tb_show("Please, login", "?tb_inline=true&inlineId=hiddenModalContent&height=180&width=300&modal=true", null); }); </script> {/literal} Any other ways are always welcome. thanks in advance

  • Jquery dialog confirmation, confirm form post

    - by user342391
    I am trying to display jquery's dialog confirmation before submitting a form. But I can't get it to popup up only when the form is submitted this is the code: $(function remove() { $("#dialog-confirm").dialog({ resizable: false, height:200, modal: true, buttons: { 'Delete campaign': function() { return true ; $(this).dialog('close'); }, Cancel: function() { return false; $(this).dialog('close'); } } }); }); Dialog confirmation content <div id="dialog-confirm" title="Delete ?" style="display:none;"> <p><span class="ui-icon ui-icon-alert" style="float:left; margin:0 7px 20px 0;"></span>This will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Are you sure?</p> </div> Form submit content <form style="display: inline;" action="remove.php" method="post"" onsubmit="return remove()">

  • jQuery code in ajax loaded content only runs once

    - by Michael Howland
    I have been looking around SO for a while and haven't been able to find anything that matches my issue, which I'm not even sure I can explain that well, so take that for what it's worth. I have a page that loads content into a div via AJAX (using the .load() method). There are several links in the navigation, meaning the content will change while navigating the site without refreshing the entire page. (Actually, to be honest, I just cribbed the DocTemplate layout [http://css-tricks.com/examples/DocTemplate/] from css-tricks.com. Apparently while I'm not a re-invent the wheel type programmer, I am a bash my head against the wheel incessantly to get it to work programmer.) So, index.php loads up some DB content in a div. There is also a jQuery UI modal input form on index.php. Essentially, the only HTML on the page is an empty div and a form. This all works fine, until I call up another page, then go back to index.php. The DB content is not loaded, and my form is shown there in all its naked glory. I know why this is happening. The page was not refreshed, nothing kicked off the code to load the content and hide the form. My question is, how can I ensure that the AJAX .load() and the .dialog() will run when loading index.php again? Is it even possible? Thanks, and my apologies for the length. I get verbose when I'm confused.

  • TinyMCE is glitchy/unusable in IE8

    - by Force Flow
    I'm using the jQuery version of TinyMCE 3.3.9.3 In firefox, it works fine (10 sec video depicting it in use): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrAE0igfT3I In IE8 (in IE8 standards mode), I can't type or click any buttons. However, if I use ctrl+v to paste, then I can start typing, but the buttons still don't work (a 45 sec video depicting it in use): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBSRlE8D8F4 The jQuery TinyMCE demo on TinyMCE's site works for me in IE8. Here's the init code: $().ready(function(){ function tinymce_focus(){ $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout').css({'border-color' : '#6478D7'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceFirst td').css({'border-top-color' : '#6478D7'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceLast td').css({'border-bottom-color' : '#6478D7'}); } function tinymce_blur(){ $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout').css({'border-color' : '#93a6e1'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceFirst td').css({'border-top-color' : '#93a6e1'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceLast td').css({'border-bottom-color' : '#93a6e1'}); } $('textarea.tinymce').tinymce({ script_url : 'JS/tinymce/tiny_mce.js', theme : "advanced", mode : "exact", invalid_elements : "b,i,iframe,font,input,textarea,select,button,form,fieldset,legend,script,noscript,object,embed,table,img,a,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6", //theme options theme_advanced_buttons1 : "cut,copy,paste,pastetext,pasteword,selectall,|,undo,redo,|,cleanup,removeformat,|", theme_advanced_buttons2 : "bold,italic,underline,|,bullist,numlist,|,forecolor,backcolor,|", theme_advanced_buttons3 : "", theme_advanced_buttons4 : "", theme_advanced_toolbar_location : "top", theme_advanced_toolbar_align : "left", theme_advanced_statusbar_location : "none", theme_advanced_resizing : false, //plugins plugins : "inlinepopups,paste", dialog_type : "modal", paste_auto_cleanup_on_paste : true, setup: function(ed){ ed.onInit.add(function(ed){ //check for addEventListener -- primarily supported by firefox only var edDoc = ed.getDoc(); if ("addEventListener" in edDoc){ edDoc.addEventListener("focus", function(){ tinymce_focus(); }, false); edDoc.addEventListener("blur", function(){ tinymce_blur(); }, false); } }); } }); }); Any ideas as to why it's not working in IE8? [edit]: stripping everything out of the init (leaving just script_url and theme) results in the same symptoms

  • jQuery click event on image only fires once

    - by stephenreece@
    I created a view of thumbnails. When the user clicks, I want the real image to pop-up in a dialog. That works the first time, but once the jQuery 'click' fires on an thumbnail it never fires again unless I reload the entire page. I've tried rebinding the click events on the dialog close that that does not help. Here is my code: function LoadGalleryView() { $('img.gallery').each(function(){ BindImage($(this)); }); } function BindImage(image) { var src= image.attr('src'); var id= image.attr('id'); var popurl = src.replace("thumbs/", ""); image.hover(function(){ image.attr('style', 'height: 100%; width: 100%;'); }, function(){ image.removeAttr('style'); }); $('#'+id).live('click', function() { PopUpImage(popurl); }); } function CheckImage(img,html) { if ( img.complete ) { $('#galleryProgress').html(''); var imgwidth = img.width+35; var imgheight = img.height+65; $('<div id="viewImage" title="View"></div>').html(html).dialog( { bgiframe: true, autoOpen: true, modal: true, width: imgwidth, height: imgheight, position: 'center', closeOnEscape: true }); } else { $('#galleryProgress').html('<img src="images/ajax-loader.gif" /><br /><br />'); setTimeout(function(){CheckImage(img,html);},10); } } function PopUpImage(url) { var html = '<img src="'+url+'" />'; var img = new Image(); img.src = url; if ( ! img.complete ) { setTimeout(function(){CheckImage(img,html);},10); } } PopUpImage() only executes the first time an image is clicked and I cannot figure out how to rebind.

  • jQuery Dialog form serialize reposting incorrect data on subsequent uses

    - by Ben Dauphinee
    I'm working with forms inside jQuery Dialog, and am having some issues with the data it's posting. First load and save works fine, posts the correct data. Until I refresh the page though, every subsequent load seems to work, as in the correct data is in the form, however, when saved, the data from the first load is what is posted every time. function formdialog(url, tack, divid, scriptload){ $.getJSON(url+tack+"/form", function(data){ var formwin = '<div><form id="formdialog">'+data['form']+'</form></div>'; var dialog = $(formwin).dialog({ title: data['title'], autoOpen: false, modal: true, buttons: { "Save": function(){ $.post(url+tack+"/process", $("#formdialog").serialize(), function(data){ alert($("#formdialog").serialize()); $(this).dialog('close'); $(this).remove(); } ); }, "Cancel": function(){$(this).dialog('close'); $(this).remove();} } }); dialog.dialog("open"); }); } $(function(){ $("a.edlnk").click(function(){ var url = $(this).attr("href"); formdialog(CONFIG_HREF_SITE+"ajax/"+appControl, "/"+url, divid); return false; }); });

  • Advice on a simple Windows Form

    - by Austin Hyde
    I have a VERY simple windows form that the user uses to manage "Stores". Each store has a name and number, and is kept in a corresponding DB table. The form has a listbox of stores, an add button that creates a new store, a delete button, and an edit button. Beside those I have text boxes for the name and number, and save/cancel buttons. When the user chooses a store from the list box, and clicks 'edit', the textboxes become populated and save/cancel become active. When the user clicks 'add', I create a new Store, add it to the listbox, activate the textboxes and save/cancel buttons, then commit it to the database when the user clicks 'save', or discards it when the user clicks 'cancel'. Right now, my event system looks like this (in psuedo-code. It's just shorter that way.) add->click: store = new Store() listbox.add(store) populateAndEdit(store) delete->click: store = listbox.selectedItem db.deleteOnSubmit(store) listbox.remove(store) db.submit() edit->click: populateAndEdit(listbox.selectedItem) save->click: parseAndSave(listbox.selectedItem) db.submit() disableTexts() cancel->click: disableTexts() The problem is in how I determine if we are inserting a new Store, or updating an existing one. The obvious solution to me would be to make it a "modal" process - that is, when I click edit, I go into edit mode, and the save button does things differently than if I were in add mode. I know I could make this more MVC-like, but I don't really think this simple form merits the added complexity. I'm not very experienced with winforms, so I'm not sure if I even have the right idea for how to tackle this. Is there a better way to do this? I would like to keep it simple, but usable.

  • Is it possible to guarantee a unique id for multiple items using the same id variable at a point in

    - by Scarface
    First of all, do not be overwhelmed by the long code, I just put it for reference...I have a function that preg_replaces content and puts it in a jquery dialog box with a matching open-link. For example, if there is a paragraph with two matches, they will be put inside two divs, and a jquery dialog function will be echoed twice; one for each div. While this works for one match, if there are multiple matches, it does not. I am not sure how to distribute unique ids at a point in time for each of the divs and matching dialog open-scripts. Keep in mind, I removed the preg replace function since it kind of complicates the problem. If anyone has any ideas, they will be greatly appreciated. <?php $id=uniqid(); $id2=uniqid(); echo "<div id=\"$id2\"> </div>"; ?> $.ui.dialog.defaults.bgiframe = true; $(function() { $("<?php echo"#$id2"; ?>").dialog({hide: 'clip', modal: true ,width: 600,height: 350,position: 'center', show: 'clip',stack: true,title: 'title', minHeight: 25, minWidth: 100, autoOpen: false}); $('<?php echo"#$id"; ?>').click(function() { $('<?php echo"#$id2"; ?>').dialog('open'); }) .hover( function(){ $(this).addClass("ui-state-hover"); }, function(){ $(this).removeClass("ui-state-hover"); } ).mousedown(function(){ $(this).addClass("ui-state-active"); }) .mouseup(function(){ $(this).removeClass("ui-state-active"); }); });

  • @selector and return value

    - by user320926
    The idea it's very easy, i have an http download class, this class must support the http authentication but it's basically a background thread so i would like to avoid to prompt directly to the screen, i would like to use a delegate method to require from outside of the class, like a viewController. But i don't know if is possible or if i have to use a different syntax. This class use this delegate protocol: //Updater.h @protocol Updater <NSObject> -(NSDictionary *)authRequired; @optional -(void)statusUpdate:(NSString *)newStatus; -(void)downloadProgress:(int)percentage; @end @interface Updater : NSThread { ... } This is the call to the delegate method: //Updater.m // This check always fails :( if ([self.delegate respondsToSelector:@selector(authRequired:)]) { auth = [delegate authRequired]; } This is the implementation of the delegate method //rootViewController.m -(NSDictionary *)authRequired; { // TODO: some kind of popup or modal view NSMutableDictionary *ret=[[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [ret setObject:@"utente" forKey:@"user"]; [ret setObject:@"password" forKey:@"pass"]; return ret; }

  • Dealing with rapid tapping on Buttons

    - by Eric Burke
    I have a Button with an OnClickListener. For illustrative purposes, consider a button that shows a modal dialog: public class SomeActivity ... { protected void onCreate(Bundle state) { super.onCreate(state); findViewById(R.id.ok_button).setOnClickListener( new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { // This should block input new AlertDialog.Builder(SomeActivity.this) .setCancelable(true) .show(); } }); } Under normal usage, the alert dialog appears and blocks further input. Users must dismiss the dialog before they can tap the button again. But sometimes the button's OnClickListener is called twice before the dialog appears. You can duplicate this fairly easily by tapping really fast on the button. I generally have to try several times before it happens, but sooner or later I'll trigger multiple onClick(...) calls before the dialog blocks input. I see this behavior in Android 2.1 on the Motorola Droid phone. We've received 4 crash reports in the Market, indicating this occasionally happens to people. Depending on what our OnClickListeners do, this causes all sorts of havoc. How can we guarantee that blocking dialogs actually block input after the first tap?

  • Dynamic editor upload into web page. Need advice

    - by Andrew Florko
    Hello everybody, I am writing intranet site for tracking employees science activities in organization. There lots of editable information on each personal page (science degree, publications & so on) so I upload editor per request (user clicks "edit" and modal dialog with html editor: set of textboxes/comboboxes/autocomplete features & validation logic appears). Editor is html layout that is wrapped with jquery dialog plugin + some logic, written as javascript functions that should be invoked from the callee page (onsubmit, validate, afterLoad editor events). There are also attributes (editor preferrable with and height) that are passed to callee page also. Currently I send these functions & attribute as ... function onsubmit() { }; function validate() { } var width = 640; var height = 800 ... code that is embedded into the request page. Function calls and editor markup wrap with jquery plugin completed in the callee page. It works, but I have some try { call editor event handler } catch { } stuff in callee page (because not every editor provides these functions) and some attributes (editor width & height for instance) that are loaded as variables declared in javascript. Please, suggest, is there a better approach to build & use custom editors for my situation. Thank you in advance!

  • jquery events on input submit fields

    - by dfilkovi
    I have a problem with jquery submit button onclick and default event. What I want to do is replace an click event on submit button if it has one, and get an dialog box to show up, on clicking yes the dialog should start that default onclick event if submit button has one defined, if it hasn't than the default event should happen (button submits form), .submit() function does not work for me in any case cause I need to send this button also through a form and if button wasn't clicked .submit() sends form data without submit data. Bellow code has a problem, alert('xxx') is always called and it shouldn't, and on clicking yes button alert and dialog creation is called again, also if I remove alert button, I cannot call default submit button event (form submitting with a button). $('input.confirm').each(function() { var input = this; var dialog = document.createElement("div"); $(dialog).html('<p>AREYOUSHURE</p>'); $(input).click(function(event) { event.preventDefault(); var buttons = {}; buttons['NO'] = function() { $(this).dialog("close"); }; buttons['YES'] = function() { $(input).trigger('click'); $(this).dialog("close"); }; $(dialog).dialog( { autoOpen: false, width: 200, modal: true, resizable: false, buttons: buttons }); $(dialog).dialog('open'); return false; }); }); <form method="post" action=""> <input type="hidden" value="1" name="eventId" /> <input type="submit" value="Check" name="checkEvent" class="confirm" onclick="alert('xxx');" /> </form>

  • How do I determine if form field is empty with jQuery?

    - by user338413
    I've got a form with two fields, firstname and lastname. The user does not have to fill in the fields. When the user clicks the submit button, a jquery dialog displays with the data the user entered in the form. I only want to show the data for the fields that were entered. I'm trying to do an if statement and use the length() function but it isn't working. Help would be great! Here is my dialog jquery script: $(function(){ //Initialize the validation dialog $('#validation_dialog').dialog({ autoOpen: false, height: 600, width: 600, modal: true, resizable: false, buttons: { "Submit Form": function() { document.account.submit(); }, "Cancel": function() { $(this).dialog("close"); } } }); // Populate the dialog with form data $('form#account').submit(function(){ $("p#dialog-data").append('<span>First Name: </span>'); $("p#dialog-data").append('<span>'); $("p#dialog-data").append($("input#firstname").val()); $("p#dialog-data").append('</span><br/>'); if (("input#lastname").val().length) > 0) { $("p#dialog-data").append('<span>Last Name: </span>'); $("p#dialog-data").append('<span>'); $("p#dialog-data").append($("input#lastname").val()); $("p#dialog-data").append('</span><br/>'); }; $('#validation_dialog').dialog('open'); return false; }); });

  • Get the id of the link and pass it to the jQueryUI dialog widget

    - by Mike Sanchez
    I'm using the dialog widget of jQueryUI. Now, the links are grabbed from an SQL database by using jQuery+AJAX which is the reason why I used "live" $(function() { var $dialog = $('#report') .dialog({ autoOpen: false, resizable: false, modal: true, height: 410, width: 350, draggable: true }) //store reference to placeholders $uid = $('#reportUniqueId'); $('.reportopen').live("click", function (e) { $dialog.dialog('open'); var $uid = $(this).attr('id'); e.preventDefault(); }); }); My question is, how do I pass the id of the link that triggered the dialog widget to the dialog box itself? The link is set up like this: <td align="left" width="12%"> <span id="notes"> [<a href="javascript:void(0)" class="reportopen" id="<?=$reportId;?>">Spam</a>] </span> </td> And the dialogbox is set up like this: <div id="report" title="Inquire now"> HAHAHAHAHA <span id="reportUniqueId"></span> </div> I'd like for the id to be passed and generated in the <span id="reportUniqueId"></span> part of the dialog box. Any idea?

  • jQuery: If user clicks out of div

    - by Paul Knopf
    I am creating a popup in query. All is well with the popup on hover. I made it see a timer starts when user's mouse leaves the div to close it. If he enters the div again before the timer is done, then the timer is cleared. This is fine, but what if a user clicks out of the div? I want that to also close the div. The only problem is that I don't want to attach click events to the wrapper on the page (because it includes the popout menu). I have seen techniques that wraps entire screen with a transparent div, and then attach a click event to hit. Although this may work, it confuses the user if he clicks the hidden div intending to click a link. He will have to click the link twice. Once two close the div (hiding the link), and another time to actually click think. Also, you loose in mouse cursors attached to any masked elements on the page (such as links cursor pointer, etc). There has to be a way to check if the user clicked out of the div without a modal and without attaching events to the entire page (page wrappers and child elements included). onclicksomewhereelse="closeme();" lol.

  • Javascript function objects, this keyword points to wrong object

    - by Rody van Sambeek
    I've got a problem concerning the javascript "this" keyword when used within a javascript functional object. I want to be able to create an object for handling a Modal popup (JQuery UI Dialog). The object is called CreateItemModal. Which i want to be able to instantiate and pass some config settings. One of the config settings. When the show method is called, the dialog will be shown, but the cancel button is not functioning because the this refers to the DOM object instead of the CreateItemModal object. How can I fix this, or is there a better approach to put seperate behaviour in seperate "classes" or "objects". I've tried several approaches, including passing the "this" object into the events, but this does not feel like a clean solution. See (simplified) code below: function CreateItemModal(config) { // initialize some variables including $wrapper }; CreateItemModal.prototype.show = function() { this.$wrapper.dialog({ buttons: { // this crashes because this is not the current object here Cancel: this.close } }); }; CreateItemModal.prototype.close = function() { this.config.$wrapper.dialog('close'); };

  • mvc jquery passing form values after user presses "Accept" button

    - by gdubs
    So I have a form and a submit button that posts the form to an action. But I wanted to show a popup where the user can deny or accept an agreement. Here's my jquery $(document).ready((function () { var dialog = $('#confirmation-dialog').dialog({ autoOpen: false, width: 500, height: 600, resizable: false, modal: true, buttons: { "Accept": function () { $(this).dialog('close'); $.ajax({ type: 'POST', data: {__RequestVerificationToken: $("input[name=__RequestVerificationToken]").val()} }); }, "Cancel": function () { $(this).dialog('close'); } } }); $('#registration-submit').click(function (e) { var action = $(this.form); console.log(action); var form = $('form'); dialog.dialog("open"); return false; }); })); My problem with this is that it would post, but it would only send my AntiforgeryToken, and not the values of the form. But when it goes through the TryupdateModel it would go through for some reason but will not Save (cuz of the missing data that wasn't passed on the formcollection).

    I am running a query with Active Record in a modal of my codeigniter application, the query looks like this, public function selectAllJobs() { $this->db->select('*') ->from('job_listing') ->join('job_listing_has_employer_details', 'job_listing_has_employer_details.employer_details_id = job_listing.id', 'left'); //->join('employer_details', 'employer_details.users_id = job_listing_has_employer_details.employer_details_id'); $query = $this->db->get(); return $query->result_array(); } This returns an array that looks like this, [0]=> array(13) { ["id"]=> string(1) "1" ["job_titles_id"]=> string(1) "1" ["location"]=> string(12) "Huddersfield" ["location_postcode"]=> string(7) "HD3 4AG" ["basic_salary"]=> string(19) "£20,000 - £25,000" ["bonus"]=> string(12) "php, html, j" ["benefits"]=> string(11) "Compnay Car" ["key_skills"]=> string(1) "1" ["retrain_position"]=> string(3) "YES" ["summary"]=> string(73) "Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry" ["description"]=> string(73) "Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry" ["job_listing_id"]=> NULL ["employer_details_id"]=> NULL } } The job_listing_id and employer_details_id return as NULL however if I run the SQL in phpmyadmin I get full set of results, the query i running in phpmyadmin is, SELECT * FROM ( `job_listing` ) LEFT JOIN `job_listing_has_employer_details` ON `job_listing_has_employer_details`.`employer_details_id` LIMIT 0 , 30 Is there a reason why I am getting differing results?

  • Removing dotted border without setting NoFocus in Windows PyQt

    - by Cryptite
    There are a few questions on SO about this, all of which seem to say that the only way to remove the dotted border is to set the focusPolicy on widget/item in question to NoFocus. While this works as a temporary fix, this prevents further interaction with said widget/item in the realm of other necessary focusEvents. Said border in question: Here's an example of why this doesn't work. I have a Non-Modal widget popup, think a lightbox for an image. I want to detect a mousePressEvent outside of the widget and close the widget as a result. To do this, I should catch the focusOutEvent. However, if a vast majority of widgets in my program are set as NoFocus (to remove the border issue), then I cannot catch the focusOutEvent because, you guessed it, they have no focus policy. Here's another example: I have a QTreeWidget that is subclassed so I can catch keyPressEvents for various reasons. The QTreeWidget is also set as NoFocus to prevent the border. Because of this, however, the widget never has focus and therefore no keyPressEvents can be caught. A workaround for this (kludgy, imo) is to use the widget's grabKeyboard class, which is dangerous if I forget to releaseKeyboard later. This is not optimal. So then the question is, is there a way to remove this weird (mostly just ugly) dotted border without turning off focus for everything in my app? Thanks in advance!

  • Webinvoke to POST JSON with ajax call

    - by G-Man
    This is my first time that I an using WCF Service with Knockout. I want to POST an entire view model as a JSON object with an ajax call. This is the error message that I get: Endpoints using 'UriTemplate' cannot be used with 'System.ServiceModel.Description.WebScriptEnablingBehavior' I have noticed that some developers send each value as a parameter which I feel is unnecessary especially if you work with a big object. This is my WCF method: [OperationContract] [WebInvoke(UriTemplate = "AddNewEvent?newEvent", Method = "POST", ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json, RequestFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json)] public bool AddNewEvent(Models.DAL_CRMEvents newEvent) { Entities.CRMEntities dbCRM = new Entities.CRMEntities(); //Models.CRMEvents crmEvent = new Models.CRMEvents(); Entities.Event crmEvent = new Entities.Event(); crmEvent.EventDateCreated = Convert.ToDateTime(newEvent.DateCreated); crmEvent.EventActive = true; crmEvent.EventDescription = newEvent.Description; crmEvent.EventDate = Convert.ToDateTime(newEvent.Date); crmEvent.EventTimeStart = TimeSpan.Parse(newEvent.TimeStart); crmEvent.EventTimeEnd = TimeSpan.Parse(newEvent.TimeEnd); crmEvent.EventAllDay = newEvent.AllDay; dbCRM.AddToEvent(crmEvent); return true; } This is my ajax function function SaveEvent (data) { var s = { newEvent: ko.mapping.toJS(data) } alert(data.AllDay()); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "../Services/CRMDataService.svc/AddNewEvent", data: JSON.stringify(s), contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "JSON", success: function (result) { alert(result); }, error: function (jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) { if (textStatus == "error" && errorThrown != "") { var n = noty({ text: errorThrown, type: 'warning', dismissQueue: false, modal: true, layout: 'center', theme: 'defaults', callback: { } }) } } }) }

  • Jquery Dialog - Is there a way to open it without registering it using .dialog?

    - by Raja
    This is my problem. I have a page with multiple tabs. I load those tabs dynamically and one of those tabs is a message container (mail). Every time I click a folder link (Inbox, Sent Mail etc) I reload just that tab alone with appropriate content. I use Jquery dialog to pick contacts and I have to load contacts everytime. Since I reload the whole tab content every time JQuery Dialog registers (or creates) the whole div content. To avoid this I did this: if ($("#ui-dialog-title-divContacts").length == 0) { //if dialog data is not created then make dialog $("#divContacts").dialog({ bgiframe: true, resizable: false, autoOpen: false, height: 600, width: 425, modal: true, overlay: { backgroundColor: '#000', opacity: 0.5 }, buttons: { Cancel: function () { //basically do nothing $(this).dialog("close"); }, 'Done': function () { $("#divTo").empty().html($("#divSelectedContacts").html()); $(this).dialog("close"); } } }); } I went to generated viewsource in FF and found that only one instance is being created. My problem now is it is not showing the dialog. Is there a way by which I can open this dialog without registering it. Any help is much appreciated.
