  • Cannot run an executable binary file on another Linux System??

    I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and Qt4.6, and I've created an executable binary file on my own computer through QtCreator. Now I want to put my executable file on CentOS 5, but it seems that this executable file cannot run on CentOS. Do I need to set some compile parameters to make it runnable on Linux other than Ubuntu?? Or do I need to put some lib files with the executable binary file? (For windows, the .exe file should put together with some .dll files to provide the correct dynamic lib linkage, is there some similar problem on linux?) Thanks for your help!

  • How do I adjust overall width of rdlc report when some columns are hidden?

    I have a customizable rdlc report where the user can choose which columns to show. All the columns are included in the report designer, and I use parameters to hide/show columns based on the user's choice. The report renders correctly, and only shows the selected columns, HOWEVER, the overall width of the report is the same as if all the columns were visible. This means that the report can have a huge empty area to the right of the selected columns, which looks very silly. So my question: Is there a way to adjust the report width dynamically at runtime to avoid a large silly empty area in the report? I attempted to do this in the designer by assigning a parameter to the width of the report body....but that was not allowed. The width cannot be an expression of any kind in the designer, only an actual value is allowed. Any suggestions?

    My understanding is that template argument deduction is only for function templates, but function templates does not allow partial specialization. Is there a way to achieve both? I basically want to achieve a function-like object (can be a functor) with the signature template<class InputIterator1, class InputIterator2, class OutputIterator, int distribution> void GetQuantity(InputIterator1 frist1, InputIterator1 last1, InputIterator2 first2, OutputIterator result, double supply, double limit); Depending on the value of distribution, I want to have a couple of specializations of this template. And when I call this function,I basically do not want to specify all the type parameters, because they are many of them (and thus I need argument deduction)!

  • Greek/latin scientific JLabel in Java Swing application

    For a scientific application I want to design an input form which lets the user enter certain parameters. Some of them are designated using greek letters, some of them have latin letters. The parameter names should be displayed using ordinary JLabel controls. On Windows, the Tahoma font (which is used for Labels by default) contains both latin and greek letters, so I simply set the Text property of the label to a greek (unicode) string and everything works fine. I'm wondering if this works also without modifications on Linux and OSX systems resp. for which Java/OS versions this would work. Also I'm curious if there's an easy way to show subscripts in labels ("\eta_0" in TeX), but this is not that important for my application ...

  • InvalidAttributeValueException when using non-ascii characters in JNDI

    Hi, I have some trouble using JNDI since it accepts only 7-bits encoded parameters. I am trying to change an LDAP entry using JNDI with the following code : Attribute newattr = new BasicAttribute("userpassword", password); ModificationItem[] mods = new ModificationItem[1]; mods[0] = new ModificationItem(DirContext.REPLACE_ATTRIBUTE, newattr); context.modifyAttributes("uid=anID,ou=People,o=MyOrganisation,c=com", mods); If my password contains only ascii characters, it works perfectly, but if I use a non-ascii character, like "à", I have this error message : javax.naming.directory.InvalidAttributeValueException: [LDAP: error code 19 - The value is not 7-bit clean: à]; My ldap supports those characters so I guess it comes from JNDI. Does anyone know how to fix that? Am I supposed to convert my parameter? How can I do that easily? Thanks

  • Polygon with different line width (in R)

    Hi all, I would like to use a command like this: plot(c(1,8), 1:2, type="n") polygon(1:7, c(2,1,2,NA,2,1,2), col=c("red", "blue"), # border=c("green", "yellow"), border=c(1,10), lwd=c(1:10)) To create two triangles, with different line widths. But the polygon command doesn't seem to recycle the "lwd" parameter as it does the col or the border parameters. I would like the resulting plot to look like what the following code will produce: plot(c(1,8), 1:2, type="n") polygon(1:3, c(2,1,2), col=c("red"), # border=c("green", "yellow"), border=c(1,10), lwd=c(1)) polygon(5:7, c(2,1,2), col=c( "blue"), # border=c("green", "yellow"), border=c(1,10), lwd=c(10)) So my questions are: Is there something like polygon that does what I asked for? I am using the following code in my master page: <% Html.RenderAction("RecentArticles","Article"); %> where the RecentArticles Action (in ArticleController) is : [ChildActionOnly] public ActionResult RecentArticles() { var viewData = articleRepository.GetRecentArticles(3); return PartialView(viewData); } and the code in my RecentArticles.ascx partial view : <li class="title"><span><%= Html.ActionLink(article.Title, "ViewArticle", new { controller = "Article", id = article.ArticleID, path = article.Path })%></span></li> The problem is that all the links of the articles (which is built in the partial view) lead to the same url- "~/Article/ViewArticle" . I want each title link to lead to the specific article with the parameters like I'm setting in the partial view. Thanks.

    After installing VS 2010 trial I am getting this error "Generic Host Process For Win32 Services Encountered A Problem and needs to close. When this message pops my computer just stuck and I can not even restart it normally. I have found one fix on net but after that fix I can not access my LAN. This fix change these values in registry. HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\netbt\parameters TransportBindName HKLM\Software\Microsoft\OLE EnableDCOM If I revert these registry changes then I again start getting 'Generic Host Process For Win32 Services' I have uninstall VS 2010 but this problem persist. This problem is not because of any virus. Any help to fix this or I have to re install Windows. Thanks.

  • size of view not changing after frame change

    I have managed to do pretty complex things on iPhone but I am always stuck with views, frames, bounds, and simple stuff that defies any logic and don't work as expected. I have a self.view in my code and it has a lot of subviews on it. At some point of the code, I need to reduce the frame vertically to a specific size and later put it back as before. Then I have this code: [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.5]; // frame is changing to a newHeight (other parameters are the same as before) self.view.frame = CGRectMake (0, 0, originalWidth, newHeight); [UIView commitAnimations]; The result is simply, nothing. The view continues as before. The same size, the same position. No change. Why this kind of thing happens? how to solve that?

    I would like to submit a data frame to a function and use it to subset another data frame. This is the basic data frame: foo <- data.frame(var1= c('1', '1', '1', '2', '2', '3'), var2=c('A', 'A', 'B', 'B', 'C', 'C')) I use the following function to find out the frequencies of var2 for specified values of var1. foobar <- function(x, y, z){ a <- subset(x, (x$var1 == y)) b <- subset(a, (a$var2 == z)) n=nrow(b) return(n) } Examples: foobar(foo, 1, "A") # returns 2 foobar(foo, 1, "B") # returns 1 foobar(foo, 3, "C") # returns 1 This works. But now I want to submit a data frame of values to foobar. Instead of the above examples, I would like to submit df to foobar and get the same results as above (2, 1, 1) df <- data.frame(var1=c('1','1','3'), var2=c("A", "B", "C")) When I change foobar to accept two arguments like foobar(foo, df) and use y[, c(var1)] and y[, c(var2)] instead of the two parameters x and y it still doesn't work. Which way is there to do this?

    I've already done many configs where dictionaries are passed into services in the <parameters> block. But what I find myself needing right now is to build a NameValueCollection (allowing multiple entries with the same key) or a Collection of KeyValuePair objects. The reason for this is im not using this dictionary to look up b when given a, im basically using it to pass in a Tuple (pair) of (a,b) to be used later in code. Im kind of new to castle windor and I was wondering how i would go about making a List of KeyValuePair's injected, or a NameValueCollection injected.

  • Possible to view T-SQL syntax of a stored proc-based SqlCommand?

    Hello! I was wondering if anybody knows of a way to retrieve the actual T-SQL that is to be executed by a SqlCommand object (with a CommandType of StoredProcedure) before it executes... My scenario involves optionally saving DB operations to a file or MSMQ before the command is actually executed. My assumption is that if you create a SqlCommand like the following: Using oCommand As New SqlCommand("sp_Foo") oCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure oCommand.Parameters.Add(New SqlParameter("@Param1", "value1")) oCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() End Using It winds up executing some T-SQL like: EXEC sp_Foo @Param1 = 'value1' Is that assumption correct? If so, is it possible to retrieve that actual T-SQL somehow? My goal here is to get the parsing, etc. benefits of using the SqlCommand class since I'm going to be using it anyway. Is this possible?   • Java/Swing: the fast/slow UI binding problem

    I need a way to bind UI indicators to rapidly-changing values. I have a class NumberCruncher which does a bunch of heavy processing in a critical non-UI thread, thousands of iterations of a loop per second, and some number of those result in changes to a set of parameters I care about. (think of them as a key-value store) I want to display those at a slower rate in the UI thread; 10-20Hz would be fine. How can I add MVC-style notification so that my NumberCruncher code doesn't need to know about the UI code/binding?

This is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature. Check that the calling convention and parameters of the PInvoke signature match the target unmanaged signature. Please help?

    I've to build a 3D user experience with HTML5 and any required JS library which provides such functionality. 3D scene consists of a cylindrical pipe and surface. It has 360 degree rotation and can zoom in and out. As user selects a parameter, specific value of that parameter at various depth of pipe in surface should display. I have tried using all available parameters (drawImage(i, 0, 0, 20, 20, 0, 0, 20, 20)) and that didn't help. What is causing my drawing to stretch and how can I prevent that? Thanks, Tom

  • Raw socket sendto() failure in OS X

    When I open a raw socket is OS X, construct my own udp packet (headers and data), and call sendto(), I get the error "Invalid Argument". Here is a sample program "rawudp.c" from the web site http://www.tenouk.com/Module43a.html that demonstrates this problem. The program (after adding string and stdlib #includes) runs under Fedora 10 but fails with "Invalid Argument" under OS X. Can anyone suggest why this fails in OS X? I have looked and looked and looked at the sendto() call, but all the parameters look good. I'm running the code as root, etc. Is there perhaps a kernel setting that prevents even uid 0 executables from sending packets through raw sockets in OS X Snow Leopard? Thanks.
