NUnit for VS has suddenly bombed.. Anyone else experience this?

I'm getting the following set of errors in a project, that previously worked fine, from NUnit for VS when I try to run either individual or all of the tests in a given solution. Error loading C:\Path to Application\Application\Application.ApplicationTests\bin\Debug\Application.ApplicationTests.dll: The method or operation is not implemented. Error loading C:\Path to Application\Application\Application.FileDetectorTests\bin\Debug\FileDetectorTests.dll: The method or operation is not implemented. Error loading C:\Path to Application\Application\Application.PresentationTests\bin\Debug\Application.PresentationTests.dll: The method or operation is not implemented. Error loading C:\Path to Application\Application\Application.DomainTests\bin\Debug\Application.DomainTests.dll: The method or operation is not implemented. I've verified that each project is setup with the appropriate ProjectTypeGuids for a test project in the Project file. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling NUnit for VS, but have had no luck. Does anyone have any advice as to how I might start troubleshooting this? If I open each individual test project outside of the main solution (that includes all projects, by the way,) and save it as it's own solution, they run just fine. Nothing of note has changed since this stopped working. Thanks! Ian

Web Service appears as website instead of developer web server

I recently reimaged my PC and regrabbed one of our projects from Source Safe. In our solution we have a web service that normally runs on a server, however we can build the webservice on our localhost for debugging as well. However, now whenever I grab the project from source safe it is building the webservice as a website instead of a developer web server. This is causing a variety of issue, specifically I am no longer able to specify which port I would like that webservice to use. As a result I cannot connect to our database through my local webservice. How can I change the project in my solution that controls the webservice from a website to a developer web server? Outlook Folder Browse Dialog???

Hello there, I'm hoping someone could help me with a quick point in the right direction. ALL I NEED is the Outlook folder browser dialog call. I am developing some plugins for Outlook using C# and this is a crucial part for both plugins. Hopefully, it is like a standard DialogResult that passes back folder information (selected folder) so that I can use this info for further processing. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Most optimal order (of joins) for left join

I have 3 tables Table1 (with 1020690 records), Table2(with 289425 records), Table 3(with 83692 records).I have something like this SELECT * FROM Table1 T1 /* OK fine select * is bad when not all columns are needed, this is just an example*/ LEFT JOIN Table2 T2 ON T1.id=T2.id LEFT JOIN Table3 T3 ON T1.id=T3.id and a query like this SELECT * FROM Table1 T1 LEFT JOIN Table3 T3 ON T1.id=T3.id LEFT JOIN Table2 T2 ON T1.id=T2.id The query plan shows me that it uses 2 Merge Join for both the joins. For the first query, the first merge is with T1 and T2 and then with T3. For the second query, the first merge is with T1 and T3 and then with T2. Both these queries take about the same time(40 seconds approx.) or sometimes Query1 takes couple of seconds longer. So my question is, does the join order matter ?

I'm using crystal reports to build reports, everything is ok while development. But after deployment of website, print functionality doesn't work. I use _rptDocument.PrintToPrinter(1, false, 0, 0); to print report. I've tried two methods to deploy website Normal Publish option. Web Deployment Project. But I got the same output, print functionality doesn't work. Also, I tried to set default printer, this also doesn't work. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble using the Ribbon control from the Office 2007 RibbonControlsLibrary.dll. It works for most people but not for me. The fault I get is: Cannot create instance of 'Ribbon' defined in assembly 'RibbonControlsLibrary, Version=3.5.31016.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation The problem is probably not with the code since it works for other people. Its the Ribbon class thats causing the problem. If I remove any references to the Ribbon class but keep the references to RibbonWindow I don't get any exceptions. Any help appreciated

Set1 should include "Month of Year" values of 1-9 for current Calendar Year Set2 should include "Month of Year" values of 10-12 for current Calendar Year Set3 shoud include "Month of Year" values of 1-3 for next Calendar Year Set4 shoud include "Month of Year" values of 4-6 for next Calendar Year The "current calendar year" will come through a join with another dimension though a fact table. I would appreciate help with MDX. And, can I use CurrentMember in the named sets?

Database schemas WAY out of sync - need to get up to date without losing data

The problem: we have one application that has a portion which is used by a very small subset of the total users, and that part of the application is running off of a separate database as well. In a perfect world, the schemas of the two databases would be synced up, but such is not the case. Some migrations have been run on the smaller database, most haven't; and furthermore, there is nothing such as revision number to be able to easily identify which have and which haven't. We would like to solve this quandary for future projects. During a discussion we've come up with the following possible plan of action, and I am wondering if anyone knows of any project which has already solved this problem: What we would like to do is create an empty database from the schema of the large fully-migrated database, and then move all of the data from the smaller non-migrated database into that empty one. If it makes things easier, it can probably be assumed for the sake of this problem specifically that no migrations have ever removed anything, only added. Else, if there are other known solutions, I'd like to hear them as well.

How can I export images from SQL Server to a file on disk?

I have a User table that has all of their avatars saved in an image field. I'd like to just take that out of the database and store it as a regular file on disk. I looked around and saw some code for textcopy, but that doesn't seem to be on my machine for some reason. Here is the code I wrote up anyway. Anyone know a way to get this done? Hi, i have a general question about how sql server evaluates the joins.The query is SELECT * FROM TableA INNER JOIN TableB ON TableB.id = TableA.id LEFT JOIN TABLEC ON TABLEC.id = TABLEB.id Q1: What tables is the left join based on? I know it will based on the TABLEC but what is the other one? Is it the result of the first inner join or the TABLEB specified in the left join condition? Join Where Rows Don't Exist or Where Criteria Matches...?

I'm trying to write a query to tell me which orders have valid promocodes. Promocodes are only valid between certain dates and optionally certain packages. I'm having trouble even explaining how this works (see psudo-ish code below) but basically if there are packages associated with a promocode then the order has to have one of those packages and be within a valid date range otherwise it just has to be in a valid date range. The whole "if PrmoPackage rows exist" thing is really throwing me off and I feel like I should be able to do this without a whole bunch of Unions. (I'm not even sure if that would make it easier at this point...) How to Track Number of Changes Occured in a Column? T-SQL - SQL Server

For example, i have a column named EmployeeName. Every time a user changes/fix his name, i need to keep a count. If he changes his name twice, then count is 2. Also, i need to store the time of every change employee makes on EmployeeName e.g. if the name essentially is James and time created is 9:00 AM and then employee changes to John on 11:00 AM, i need to preserve this new time and new value as well as the previous one which is James at 9:00 AM. I hope its clear! Thank you guys...Best Answer will be chosen... If this requires a trigger, giving a sketchy pseudo-code will be very much appreciated.

.config file not loaded from working directory

I am new to using .config files, having worked on apps that use .INI files and the registry until very recently. I am seeing a behavior in VS2008 that I would not anticipate, and wonder if it is the expected one. When I configure the Working Directory setting in the VS2008 IDE for my Foo.exe application, I would have guessed that Foo.exe.config would get loaded from that Working Directory. It does not; it gets loaded from the ..\bin\Debug directory, even if I have a Foo.exe.config file in that Working Directory. If I examine the Environment.CurrentDirectory while the configuration is being applied by setting a breakpoint, I see that it is ..\bin\Debug. When I examine the Environment.CurrentDirectory after my main UI's Loaded event, it is set to the Working Directory I applied in the IDE. Is this correct? (Why?)
