• Flex: Load images and swf's dynamically

  I'm building a slide-show like application in Flex and I'm trying to load images dynamically. The images are in a folder outside the application folder. This is the folder structure: /Bildvisare-debug/ Bildvisare.html Bildvisare.swf /Images/ 01_02_01_01_B.jpg 01_02_01_01_T.JPG I'm reading the image names from an XML file and get them with a path of ../Images/01_03_01_01_B.jpg. In my mxml-file I've got an SWFLoader named picture and I try to load the images with the following code: this.picture.source = images[currentImg]; //E.g. ../Images/01_03_01_01_B.jpg this.picture.load(); The problem is that the images never show up, I only get the icon for a missing image. Can anyone help?

• Grails: can remoteField update multiple fields?

  Hi, Assume i have a book entity with an isbn field. When entered a isbn number, i want 2 fields to be updated: title and author. My controller looks like this: def ajaxGetBook = { def book = Book.findByIsbn(params.isbn) if(book==null) book = new Book() render book as JSON } So my call works, and i get a full JSON Book. Now i would like to update 2 texfields by the update attribute <g:remoteField action="ajaxGetBook" update="title" name="isbn" value="${bookInstance?.book?.isbn}" paramName="isbn"/> Now the title field gets updated with the full book object, so that doesn't work. Is it possible to update field title with only the JSON book.title? Is it possible to update more fields at once? I could render book.title as JSON but that works for only one field. Thank you

• Cannot see index view of my controller - routing related

  Hi. I have a controller named Content, which has an Index action, which is associated with a view. I would like the simple route "content" to show me the index view of the content controller, so I use the following code (with the addition of the default site home route): routes.MapRoute( "ContentIndex", "content", new { controller = "Content", action = "Index"} ); routes.MapRoute( "Default", "{controller}/{action}", new { controller = "Home", action = "Index" } ); when I type the url : "http://localhost/content/", I get an error 404 saying the resource cannot be found, but when I type "http://localhost/content/index", it shows the content index view. How can I get rid of the index in the url ? Thanks !

  Please help me to understand proper join syntax. I have table named inventory which has: trans_id trans_items items -> item_id trans_user employees -> person_id trans_date trans_comment trans_inventory As you can see above, trans_items is a foreign key in items table, and trans_user is a foreign key in employees table. Now what I want to do is to display in HTML the inventory table, but instead of displaying the item id, I want the ITEM NAME to be displayed. Here is what I have done. • JNAerator Unnamed Union Missing in Structure

  I'm trying to get JNAerator to generate some JNA backed Java code from a C shared library and everything is fine except that it failed to generate an unnamed union nested inside a structure. Example: typedef struct MY_STRUCTURE { union { My_Type1 var1; My_Type2 var2; }; }MY_STRUCTURE; If I change the header to make the union have a name it will work. But for obvious reasons I can't just change the header without breaking the shared library I'm trying to use. Any solutions other than changing the header file and shared library to named union?

• Hibernate entities stored as HttpSession attribute values

  I'm dealing with a legacy Java application with a large, fairly messy codebase. There's a fairly standard 'User' object that gets stored in the HttpSession between requests, so the servlets do stuff like this at the top: HttpSession session = request.getSession(true); User user = (User)session.getAttribute("User"); The old user authentication layer (which I won't describe; suffice to say, it did not use a database) is being replaced with code mapped to the DB with Hibernate. So 'User' is now a Hibernate entity. My understanding of Hibernate object life cycles is a little fuzzy, but it seems like storing 'User' in the HttpSession now becomes a problem, because it will be retrieved in a different transaction during the next request. What is the right thing to be doing here? Can I just use the Hibernate Session object's update() method to reattach the User instance the next time around? Do I need to?

For this I am using a file named chicago.sty, Document compiles however I do not see any reference or citation.Instead I somehow get error when reading the paper.blg file: This is BibTeX, Version 0.99cThe top-level auxiliary file: paper.aux I couldn't open style file chicago.bst ---line 62 of file paper.aux : \bibstyle{chicago} What is a blg file, and how can I generate it from the .sty file so that my citations and references display properly.   Hey Recently I'm interested in post's structure of Wordpress. They use a table named (wp_posts) and in this table they saved 3 related fields such as : post_title post_name guid It's clear that they save title of each story in post_title field , and slugs in post_name , and full url of a post in guild filed . But where the hell, they rewrite these urls in way it appears in browsers : http://localhost/wordpress/about/ There is no htaccess rules for this ! I checked rewrite.php and didn't understand an inch ?! i need to create similar pages , what steps should i take !?

• Kernel dealing with the section headers in an ELF

  I recently read that the kernel and the dynamic loader mostly deal with the program header tables in an ELF file and that assemblers, compilers and linkers deal with the section header tables. The number of program header tables and section header tables are mentioned in the ELF header in fields named e_phnum and e_shnum respectively. e_phnum is two bytes in size, so if the number of program headers is 65535, we use a scheme known as extended numbering where, e_phnum is set to 0xffff and sh_link field of the zeroth section header table holds the actual count. My doubt is : If the count of program headers exceeds 65535, does that mean the kernel and/or the dynamic loader end up having to read the section table?

  I need to post to a payment gateway. The example PHP script for the gateway simply sets the XML like this curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $xmlRequest); // $xmlRequest is just a string of XML In all of my experience, generally you need to use an array with key/values or a string similar to GET params. I am using Kohana, and tracked down a cURL module. It accepts the POST key/values as an array only. Now, I could ditch the module and throw some cURL straight in, but I am using this module fine all throughout the site, so would prefer to use it here. So, my question is, how does that first one work? Does it just POST the whole thing without any named key? Is there a default key I could use for an array to get the module to work?

  Hello everyone, I am using SQL Server 2008 Enterprise with VSTS 2008, and I am developing a simple web application using ASP.Net and Forms Authentication. When I am using the configuration tool/menu of VSTS of my ASP.Net project (I want to use this tool to manually add some Forms authentication users), I met with the following error (SqlException), Trying to attach file D:\Projects\MyTest\App_Data\aspnetdb.mdf to automatically named database failed. It may be caused by existing the same name database, or may be caused by specified file can not be opened or caused by the specified file exists in UNC share. In my computer, there is no aspnetdb.mdf under dir D:\Projects\MyTest\App_Data, and I have used aspnet_regsql to generate database successfully before I run the configuration tool. Why there is such error? How to fix it? thanks in advance, George

  In an ActionScript 2 project I can create a new MovieClip, right-click on it on the library and select "Component Definition" to add parameters that can be referenced inside the MovieClip. This parameters can be easily changed in the MovieClips's properties. Now, I'm working on an ActionScript 3 project but haven't been able to figure out a way to obtain the values passed in those parameters. I defined a parameter named "textToDisplay" but when I write the following in the Actions for the first frame I get an error: trace(textToDisplay); This is the error: 1120: Access of undefined property textToDisplay. • Function naming: sendCharacter or receiveCharacter?

  I'm trying to name a function that runs when a character is received by the object. For the caller, it should be named sendCharacter, so that it can call: object->sendCharacter( character ) ; That looks nice for the caller.. but for the receiver, it implements a method /// Called when this object is do something /// with a character /// from the caller void sendCharacter( char c ) ; So for the recipient class, it looks like this method will actually send a character out, not receive one. So then, I could call the function receiveCharacter /// Called when this object is do something /// with a character /// from the caller void receiveCharacter( char c ) ; But now the caller does this: object->receiveCharacter( character ) ; Which just looks odd. How can I better name this function?

• update portlet without refreshing portal page

  I'm trying to create a simple agena portlet. Now I've developed a basic one using spring-portlet-mvc, it allows you to navigate to the next and previous month with thusly named links that invoke a previousMonth or nextMonth function in my controller. Now the problem I'm having is that this navigation causes my whole page to refresh. Now I was wondering what the best way to fix this was. I've been looking around a bit and it looks like jquery/ajax will do the trick, but since I don't have any experience yet with that technology I was wondering if anyone had any pointers/better ideas to solve my problem.

  setup: hibernate 3.3, MySQL 5 I have an hibernate entity that have its PK generated using a sequence table. The annotation looks like this: @GenericGenerator(name = "SCENARIO_TABLE_GEN", strategy = "org.hibernate.id.enhanced.TableGenerator", parameters = { @Parameter(name = "initial_value", value = "5"), @Parameter(name = "force_table_use", value = "true"), @Parameter(name = "table_name", value = "SEQ_TABLE"), @Parameter(name = "value_column_name", value = "VALUE_COL"), @Parameter(name = "segment_column_name", value = "KEY_COL"), @Parameter(name = "segment_value", value = "SCENARIO") }) The problem is, that hibernate generated sequence table (SEQ_TABLE in my case, generated using hbm2ddl) does not have a primary keys. How do I tell hibernate that I want to have the primary key for the sequence table set on KEY_COL ?

Question: Can I some how set FlushMode to ALWAYS in session factory or somewhere else to avoid repeating session.flush() call? All DB calls in DAO goes with HibernateTemplate instance. I used Interface Builder to put the NSImageView control onto the window, initially (then bound it to outputImageView). How do I change the size of the NSImageView control within my program, so that it matches the size of the actual image I am displaying (which may change, periodically)?   I am writting a Silverlight Business Application with WCF RIA link. I have 2 databases on same SQL server, Public and Private. The Public database contains a table which is mostly for public access level, like "user" table which has basic user information The Private database contains a table which has "private" information, user bank transactions etc I created 2 ADO.Net entity models, one each for Private and Public database and selected the tables. I also created 2 different domain context services On on Silverlight page, I need to get information from the tables that are across 2 databases, Private and Public as described above. How do I achieve this? I am thinking of some kind of a wrapper that internally gets data from domain services. Whats the best approach?

  Hi, first post here.In Django, I want to have many files be associated with a particular model, so I'm doing a seperate model called files and have model 'A' 'have many' files. But I want my files to be saved in director named by model 'A'. So For example I want something like this: class Show(models.Model): name = models.CharField() showfolder = models.FilePathField() class Episode(models.Model): show = models.ForeignKey(Show) name = models.CharField() files = models.ManyToManyField(mp3) class Mp3(models.Model): file = FileField(upload_to=Episode.show.showfolder) So hopefully that last line expresses what I WANT it to do(get the folder name from Show object associated with the episode). The question is how would I really write that?(besides jumping through hoops in the controller.) Thanks.

• Why Hibernates ignores the name attribute of the @Column annotation?

  Using Hibernate 3.3.1 and Hibernate Annotations 3.4, the database is DB2/400 V6R1, running that on WebSphere 7.0.0.9 I have the following class @Entity public class Ciinvhd implements Serializable { @Id private String ihinse; @Id @Column(name="IHINV#") private BigDecimal ihinv; .... } For reasons I can't figure, Hibernate ignores the specified column name and uses 'ihinv' to generate the SQL: select ciinvhd0_.ihinse as ihinse13_, ciinvhd0_.ihinv as ihinv13_, ... Which of course gives me the following error: Column IHINV not in table CIINVHD Did anyone had this problem before? I have other entities that are very alike in the way that they are using # in their database field names and that are part of the PK and I don't have this problem with them.
