• problem with IN clause in SQL

  Hello, We have observed that there seems to be a maximum number of ids/variables which one can pass in the IN clause of SQL as comma seperated values. To avoid this we are storing all the ids in a table and doing a SELECT within the IN clause. This however means extra database operations to store and retrieve ids. Is there any other way to use IN without SELECT? regards Sameer

• drupal views block arguments

  I currently have a view (Drupal 6 using Views2) that properly aggregates a custom content type (videos) and filters them for a page display. When I create a block display, it previews the results in live preview just great, but when i go to the page expecting to see the block it doesn't appear. I'm fairly certain the argument I'm attempting to pass it fails because when I select "Display all results" for "Action to take if argument does not validate:" the block shows up on the page just fine. Any advice definitely appreciated.

It would make sense because functions like string::replace or string::insert take iterators as input, so you could find some character and immediately pass the returned iterator to replace, etc. Also, std::find returns an iterator -- why is std::string::find different?

  We have a JBoss server with a single J2EE on it. I wish to find out who are the current active users using that application. Does JBoss give me any utilities that lets me view those existing sessions? (NOT the count, but who all are logged in) The question is kinda lame, but so is my JBoss knowledge :) I checked the JBoss community, but it only had a couple of relative unanswered questions there. The information i'm looking for would help me in maintenance cycles. I do not wish to reboot the system when users are still using it.   I am using the Jquery Validation plug-in, however i need to add a "custom rule", i have 2 date fields and i need to ensure that the end date is not less than the start date. My problem is how to pass the two fields in as elements.   I have a main cmake project which has a PROJECT_INCLUDE_PATH which is a cached variable. I pass this variable as a CMAKE_ARGS parameter to an external project that I add using ExternalProject_Add(). The problem is, when I change the value of the PROJECT_INCLUDE_PATH using 'make edit_cache' the external project is not reconfigured. Is there any way make the external project to be reconfigured and built automatically when the cached variable is changed in the main project?

• how do i do very fast inserts to SQL Server 2008

  I have a project that involves recording data from a device directly into a sql table. I do very little processing in code before writing to sql server (2008 express by the way) typically i use the sqlhelper class's ExecuteNoneQuery method and pass in a stored proc name and list of parameters that the SP expects. This is very convenient, but i need a much faster way of doing this. Thanks.
