• Information stored in a cookie file

  Thanks for you help in advance. I am trying to figure out the structure of the cookie file, more specifically i want to be able to determine the expiry time. From the cookies i have created they all appear to be in a standard format. Name, Value, website,followed by 5 numbers and a star. See example below. name value www.website.co.uk/ 1536 3041141504 30135951 1632526096 30135949 * Obviously the expiry time is one of the numbers, the question is which one. From experiments I have determined that the first and fifth number don't seem to change. In a case where i generated three cookies at the same time with a 1000 second time difference i noticed that the fourth number appeared to increase by 2000 suggesting that this has a connection with the expiry time. Can anyone confirm if i am heading in the right direction? And does any one know how i convert this to a human time and date(preferably in php but any language would give me a starting point) thanks Jason

  When static members are inherited, are they static for the entire heirarchy, or just that class, ie: class SomeClass { public: SomeClass(){total++;} static int total; }; class SomeDerivedClass: public SomeClass { public: SomeDerivedClass(){total++;} }; int main() { SomeClass A; SomeClass B; SomeDerivedClass C; return 0; } would total be 3 in all three instances, or would it be 2 for SomeClass and 1 for SomeDerivedClass?

• Programmatic binding of accelerators in wxPython

  I am trying to programmatically create and bind a table of accelerators in wxPython in a loop so that I don't need to worry about getting and assigning new IDs to each accelerators (and with a view to inhaling the handler list from some external resource, rather than hard-coding them). I also pass in some arguments to the handler via a lambda since a lot of my handlers will be the same but with different parameters (move, zoom, etc).   So I have (for instance) three views: A: root view B: a view functionally identical to root C: a data entry view which collects a few piece of info What I'm trying to do is reuse C to supply the data it collects to either A or B. It should supply the data to whichever of the two it is pushed onto. The data for A is similar, but functionally distinct, to what collects for B. Right now, I'm passing data from C to A or B via a singleton class. What I'm trying to avoid is having two instances of C, one to supply data to A and B (because, in actuality, the program will have 5 total views like C. Does the question make sense?

  I have a cmdline that I'm trying to modify to remove some of the arguments. What makes this complex is that I can have nested arguments. Say that I have this: $cmdline = "-a -xyz -a- -b -xyz -b- -a -xyz -a-" I have three different -xyz flags that are to be interpreted in two different contexts. One is the -a context and the other is the -b context. I want to remove the "a" -xyz's but leave the ones in the "b" -xyz. How can I most effectively do this in Perl?

• C++ stringstream reads all zero's

  I have a file which contains three integers per line. When I read the line I use a stringstream to separate the values, but it only reads the first value as it is. The other two are read as zero's. ifstream inputstream(filename.c_str()); if( inputstream.is_open() ){ string line; stringstream ss; while( getline(inputstream, line) ){ //check line and extract elements int id; double income; int members; ss.clear(); ss.str(line); ss >> id >> income >> members; In the case above, id is extracted correctly, but income, and members get assigned zero instead of the actual value.

• Setting cookie for site in http and https under different subdomains in PHP

  Situation: 1. I'm trying run an https store(xcart) under one domain secure.mydomain and I want to have access to a cookie it sets in http www.mydomain 2. I'm Running PHP on apache(MAMP), testing in firefox with firecookie 3. The existing code sets cookies to .secure.mydomain. I'm not sure if this is xcart related, but setcookie is actually called using secure.mydomain. I'm not sure why the "." is appended. Problems: 1. When I try to use setcookie in https to use the domain .mydomain or just mydomain, no cookie is created, whether I'm running the store under http or https. The testing code I'm using is: setcookie('three', 'two', 0, "/", ".mydomain"); If I set the cookie to secure.mydomain or .secure.mydomain it does show up. Is there a reason the cookie isn't showing up?

• C++: use array of strings wrapped in namespace?

  I got the following code, wishing to wrap a group of strings nicely in a namespace: namespace msgs { const int arr_sz = 3; const char *msg[arr_sz] = {"blank", "blank", "blank" }; msg[0] = "Welcome, lets start by getting a little info from you!\n"; msg[1] = "Alright, bla bla bla.."; msg[2] = "etc."; } The code inside works nicely inside a function, but I don't know how to return an array from it. The namespace idea LOOKS fine, but it returns on the last three lines: error: expected constructor, destructor, or type conversion before ‘=’ token Why can't I define the array inside a namespace, do I need to do something first? It's nice because I can call it like printf(msgs::msg[1]) etc. I want to do this I just can't wrap my head around what's wrong :(

  Hi, i have a web user control containing a repeater. The repeater contains three buttons. On button click it gives the following error : Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" % in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. Since user control does not have page directive, so i changed the enableEventValidation to false, but it restricted the itemcommand event of the repeater. Can someone guide me, how to solve this problem?

  Hello all! I have a Flex GUI where I have to place quadrate elements. The position of these elements need to be stored into a database. So I can create two integer fields in the db table x and y. Also I need an angle, because the user can rotate these elements, so I can also make a int (int is okay, I do not need a double value therefore). As a ORM, I use Hibernate. But the question is, if creating three integer fields is the best way to handle this. Perhaps someone can tell me if this will be okay or if there are better ways?   When indexing a couchdb view, you can emit an array as the key such as: emit(["one", "two", "three"], doc); I appreciate the fact that when searching the view, the order is important, but sometimes I would like the view to ignore it. I have thought of a couple of options. 1. By convention, just emit the contents in alphabetical order, and ensure that looking up uses the same convention. 2. Somehow hash in a manner that disregards the order, and emit/search based on that hash. (This is fairly easy, if you simply hash each one individually, "sum" the hashes, then mod.) Note: I'm sure this may be covered somewhere in the authoritative guide, but I was unsuccessful in finding it.

Of course I am able to do with visibility of textboxes but I can not understand how to change the position of the horizontal line dynamically?

• Entity Framework 4 & WCF Data Service: N:M mapping

  I have three tables in my database: An A table, a B table, and a many-to-many ABMapping table. For simplicity, A and B are keyed with identity columns; ABMapping has just two columns: AId and BId. I built an Entity Framework 4 model from this, and it did correctly identify the N:M mapping between A and B. I then built a WCF Data Service based on this EF model. I'm trying to consume this WCF Data Service. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get a mapping between As and Bs to map back to the database. I've tried something like this: A a = new A(); B b = new B(); a.Bs.Add(b); connection.SaveChanges(); But this doesn't seem to have worked. Any clues? What am I missing?

• A 3-D grid of regularly spaced points

  I want to create a list containing the 3-D coords of a grid of regularly spaced points, each as a 3-element tuple. I'm looking for advice on the most efficient way to do this. In C++ for instance, I simply loop over three nested loops, one for each coordinate. In Matlab, I would probably use the meshgrid function (which would do it in one command). I've read about meshgrid and mgrid in Python, and I've also read that using numpy's broadcasting rules is more efficient. It seems to me that using the zip function in combination with the numpy broadcast rules might be the most efficient way, but zip doesn't seem to be overloaded in numpy.

  My code merges two lists of lists, item by item, in the following way: mergeL([[a,b],[c,d]], [[1,2],[3,4]], Result). Result = [[a,b,1,2],[c,d,3,4]] And this is the code i use: mergeL([],[],[]). mergeL(List, [], List). mergeL([], List, List). mergeL([X|Rest],[Y|Rest2], [XY|Res2]) :- mergeL(Rest, Rest2, Res2), append(X,Y,XY). This seems to work but if i call it with two lists of the same size i get three repeated results. Example (both list contain only one element): ?- mergeL([[a,b]],[[1,2,3]],Q). Q = [[a, b, 1, 2, 3]] ; Q = [[a, b, 1, 2, 3]] ; Q = [[a, b, 1, 2, 3]]. Is there a clean way to make this output only one solution?

  Hello everyone. I'm trying to redirect an easy to remember url to a php file but I'm having some trouble with the regex. Here's what I have at the moment: RewriteRule ^tcb/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,})/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,})/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,}) /tcb/lerbd.php?autocarro=$1&tipo=$2&dsd=$3 It is working but only if I supply all 3 arguments.   I am using a javascript function (F) (jquery )which uses 3 select values selected by the user to calculates a value - R(result) R is a number ranging from (1 through 9), (11) and (22); I need 2 extra steps one before the calculation and one after. a. Before calculation takes place: Make sure all three select values are changed before function(F) takes place. If not prompt the user with a notice ( create dom element/ I am using jquery) b. After the value R is calculated show an element corresponding to the result e.g. if R is 1 show an element ( a predetermined "link" element corresponding to each result value) thanks a lot.

• What do you name your files when using MVC?

  When using the MVC pattern, which I'm not terribly experienced with, I find myself naming things like this: /app/views/widget.php /app/models/widget.php /app/controllers/widget.php That appeals to me because it's easy to find associated classes, and I lean towards shorter names when practical. However, when I'm looking in my IDE, I see three different files called widget.php, which is confusing. I'm tempted to add "_v", "_c", "_m" or something to each name. How do you handle this? FWIW, I'm using CodeIgniter at the moment, and I don't know if there are any special benefits to using a particular convention, or any standard practices. Regardless, I'm intersted in the best-practices from various platforms.

• Windows service installed successfully but not responding after started.

  I have a windows service written in C#, .Net framework 2.0. I installed it on three machines and it worked fine but on one machine (with .Net framework 2.0) the setup has installed the service successfully but the service is not responding after I start it. I check for this by checking whether a log file is created at a specific path insribed in the config file or not. This log file is created everytime the timer elapses the interval time. I'm unable to figure out the reason. Have checked all the parameters but unable to get any solution to this. The funny thing is that the same setup is running well on other machines. P.S.: I have admin access on all the servers I'm installing this service on.
