• Display contact pictures in list view

  I need to display the contact pictures in a list view. In my custom_row_view.xml I have: <ImageView android:id="@+id/contact_image" android:layout_width="60dp" android:layout_height="50dp" /> and then in my activity i have: final SimpleAdapter adapter = new SimpleAdapter( this, list, R.layout.custom_row_view, new String[] {"avatar","telnumber","date","name","message","sent"}, new int[] {R.id.contact_image,R.id.text1,R.id.text2,R.id.text3,R.id.text4,R.id.isent} ); I have a hashmap HashMap temp2 = new HashMap(); where i put all the values of each line. However the return function isn't working, I know the query brings back rows but when it is returned by the class it has 0.   This is my below code, I am confuse why this thing is happening. In this code getLocationByIpTimeout is a method in which I am passing two things- one is the ip address and second is the timeout. So I will get the timeout exception if the response is not getting back in under 5 ms. So when I ran this below code, I am getting few timeout exceptions but the most important thing that I am confuse is if I am getting timeout exceptions (time taken to get the response is greater than 5 ms) then why the program is entering in that if loop in which I am having difference 5. What can be the possible reason for this? It is because of catch block??   I am trying to make a method that will go through a list of generic objects and replace all their properties of type string which is either null or empty with a replacement. How is a good way to do this?   Hi everybody) I'm using Unity App Block for my project (version 1.2.0.0). I have a problem with Unity Container BuildUp method which I'm using for my ascx controls. So what can be wrong with buildup?

[87.0, 87.5, 88.5, 90] So my question is this, is there any way I can achieve the same effect using Django's _set functionality to keep the amount of data I'm passing into the template, up until now I've been passing in a single KPI object to be graphed but now I want to pass in a whole bunch so is there anything I can do with _set {{ kpi.kpihistory_set }} dumps the whole model out, but I just want the measure field. I can't see any of the built in template methods that will let me pull out just the single field I want. How have other people handled this situation?

• How do I force all Tree itemrenderers to refresh?

  I have item renderers in an mx.controls.Tree that I need to refresh on demand. I have code in the updateDisplayList that fires for only some of the visible nodes no matter what I do. • C++ Printing: Printer jams, what am I doing wrong?

  I have a problem with printing in C++. As far as I know, this code used to work on my previous printer, but ever since I got another one (an HP C7280) it started giving problems. Whenever I try to print anything, even an empty page, the page JAMS the printer. I have to manualy remove the page from the printer. I have no clue why this is happening. Am I doing something wrong, is it a driver problem, are there better ways to print in C++? I am using Windows 7 64 bit, but this problem also presented itself when I was using Windows Vista 64 bit. • Does an HTTPS SharePoint Site Need to Use HTTPS-Compliant Web Parts?

  I am new to SharePoint, so this question may be a little naive. However, I sincerely appreciate any help with this. We are planning to create a new sub-site within our company's intranet site, which is built on SharePoint 2007. We want to add a 3rd-party weather web part (which is just a widget to display the local weather forecast) to the home page of the new intranet site. Since the intranet site uses HTTPS, do we need to find an HTTPS-compliant web part? Or, is it possible to use any web part and then configure it to use HTTPS? I'm assuming that if we use a non-HTTPS web part, then users will get some sort of "This page contains both secure and non-secure items" error message when they load the page.

  Hey Guys I have a big problem that I have no Idea why.. I have few forms that upload files to the database, all of them work fine except one.. I use the same query in all(simple insert). I think that it has something to do with the files i am trying to upload but I am not sure. • Desine time XAML serialization problem in VS2010 Designer

  The wired problem is, in VS 2008, everything works fine. In VS2010 while serializing, it is missing the "ReportDimensionElements" so I'm unable to get the values back from the serialized value back from the XAML. It says, "'ReportDimensionElements' is null" am I missing anything silly. Note: I have marked the ReportDimensionElements class with [DefaultValue(null)] for avoiding {x:Null} being serialized. Will it be causing this by any way? • In Gtk#, why might VALID_ITER fail even after I check it with IterIsValid?

  I have a convenience function in my TreeView that looks something like this: Card GetCardFromPath (TreePath path) { TreeIter iter; if (path == null || !Model.GetIter (out iter, path)) return null; if ((Model as TreeModelSort).IterIsValid (iter)) return (Card) Model.GetValue (iter, 0); return null; } Most of the time this works without any errors. But when it is called directly after the Model is changed, line 8 gives me these Gtk runtime errors: [Fatal 16:53:02.448] [Gtk] gtk_list_store_get_value: assertion `VALID_ITER (iter, list_store)' failed [Fatal 16:53:02.449] [GLib-GObject] g_value_unset: assertion `G_IS_VALUE (value)' failed As far as I can tell, I shouldn't even need to check IterIsValid, because I'm already checking the return value of Model.GetIter. Even so, how can VALID_ITER fail in a function that only gets called if IterIsValid returns true? If it makes a difference, the Model is a TreeModelSort, which sorts a TreeModelFilter, which filters a ListStore. The error occurs when GetCardFromPath is called from HandleSelectionChanged when multiple rows have just been removed from the ListStore. It doesn't seem to prevent anything from working properly, but having a cascade of errors whenever I remove multiple rows isn't really ideal.

• Can't select database table even though the code is right

  I am trying to display a list of my vbulliten threads on a non-vbulliten portion of my site. However I can't select the vbulliten database: <?php $host = "localhost"; $user = "my username"; $pass = "my password"; $dbname = "tableprefix_forum"; mysql_connect($host, $user, $pass) or die ("Could not connect to database server."); mysql_select_db($dbname) or die ("Could not select database."); ?> I am substituting some things here in this example but all my credentials are correct including my db server username, password and forum db name. So what is the problem? Is it due to some internal security feature in vbulliten, does this system not allow you to connect to it's db if the page trying to connect to it is a non-vbulliten page?

• Problems getting PowerPoint Combobox to list items correctly

  I am creating a PowerPoint in which I want users to be able to select an item from a list in a combo box. Nothing needs to happen after this, it is just to provide a record, on screen, of their choice. My problem is that I seem to either be able to populate the combo box and users can select an item but the list gets longer each time the combobox is clicked on (i.e each time it is clicked on the list gets duplicated). Or alternatively, I can clear the combo box, then populate it but in this scenario, the users choice also seems to get cleared. • Symfony 2 - Updating a table based on newly inserted record in another table

  I'm trying to create a small forum application using Symfony 2 and Doctrine 2. My ForumTopic entity has a last_post field (oneToOne mapping). Now when I persist my new post with $em->persist($post); I want to update my ForumTopic entity so its last_post field would reference this new post. I have just realised that it cannot be done with a Doctrine postPersist Listener, so I decided to use a small hack, and tried: $em->persist($post); $em->flush(); $topic->setLastPost($post); $em->persist($post); $em->flush(); but it doesn't seem to update my topics table. I also took a look at http://docs.doctrine-project.org/projects/doctrine-orm/en/2.1/reference/working-with-associations.html#transitive-persistence-cascade-operations hoping it will solve the problem by adding cascade: [ 'persist' ] to my Topic.orm.yml file, but it didn't help, either. Could anyone point me to a solution or an example class? • throwing exception from APCProc crashes program

  I started to do some research on how terminate a multithreaded application properly and I found those 2 post(first, second) about how to use QueueUserAPC to signal other threads to terminate. I thought I should give it a try, and the application keeps crashing when I throw the exception from the APCProc. I use mingw for compilation and my OS is 64bit. Can this be the reason?I read that you shouldn't call QueueApcProc from a 32bit app for a thread which runs in a 64bit process or vice versa, but this shouldn't be the case.
