    - by user1726508
    i am able to get user information from Google API response using oath2 . But i do't know how to get those responses individually . Response i am getting from Google Api: * Access token: ya29.AHES6ZQ3QxKxnfAzpZasdfd23423NuxJs29gMa39MXV551yMmyM5IgA { "id": "112361893525676437860", "name": "Ansuman Singh", "given_name": "Ansuman", "family_name": "Singh", "link": "https://plus.google.com/112361893525676437860", "gender": "male", "birthday": "0000-03-18", "locale": "en" } Original Token: ya29.AHES6ZQ3QxKxnfAzpZu0lYHYu8sdfsdafdgMa39MXV551yMmyM5IgA New Token: ya29.AHES6ZQ3QxKxnfdsfsdaYHYu8TNuxJs29gMa39MXV551yMmyM5IgA But i want only "id" & "name" indiviually to save in my Database table. How can i do this? I got those above response/output By using the below code. public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { ------------------------- ------------------------- ------------------------- String accessToken = authResponse.accessToken; GoogleAccessProtectedResource access = new GoogleAccessProtectedResource(accessToken, TRANSPORT, JSON_FACTORY, CLIENT_ID, CLIENT_SECRET, authResponse.refreshToken); HttpRequestFactory rf = TRANSPORT.createRequestFactory(access); System.out.println("Access token: " + authResponse.accessToken); String url = "https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v1/userinfo?alt=json&access_token=" + authResponse.accessToken; final StringBuffer r = new StringBuffer(); final URL u = new URL(url); final URLConnection uc = u.openConnection(); final int end = 1000; InputStreamReader isr = null; BufferedReader br = null; isr = new InputStreamReader(uc.getInputStream()); br = new BufferedReader(isr); final int chk = 0; while ((url = br.readLine()) != null) { if ((chk >= 0) && ((chk < end))) { r.append(url).append('\n'); } } System.out.print(""); System.out.println(); System.out.print(" "+ r ); //this is printing at once but i want them individually access.refreshToken(); System.out.println("Original Token: " + accessToken + " New Token: " + access.getAccessToken()); }

  • Followed the official android documentations but still could not use SQLite in app

    - by user366539
    My DBHelper class public class DBHelper extends SQLiteOpenHelper { public DBHelper(Context context) { super(context,"SIMPLE_DB",null,1); } @Override public void onCreate(SQLiteDatabase db) { db.execSQL("CREATE TABLE SIMPLE_TABLE ( " + "ID INTEGER PRIMARY KEY " + "DESC TEXT);"); } @Override public void onUpgrade(SQLiteDatabase db, int oldVersion, int newVersion) { } } Activity class public class SimpleDatabase extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); DBHelper dbHelper = new DBHelper(this); SQLiteDatabase db = dbHelper.getReadableDatabase(); db.execSQL("INSERT INTO SIMPLE_TABLE VALUES (NULL, 'test');"); Cursor cursor = db.rawQuery("SELECT * FROM SIMPLE_TABLE", null); TextView text = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.textbox); text.setText(cursor.getString(0)); } } I figure it crashed (application has stopped unexpectedly!) at SQLiteDatabase db = ... because if I commented the code out from there to the end then it worked fine. But I have no idea whatsoever why it does that. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Logic in the db for maintaining a points system relationship?

    - by MarcusBooster
    I'm making a little web based game and need to determine where to put logic that checks the integrity of some underlying data in the sql database. Each user keeps track of points assigned to him, and points are awarded by various tasks. I keep a record of each task transaction to make sure they're not repeated, and to keep track of the value of the task at the time of completion, since an individual award level my fluctuate over time. My schema looks like this so far: create table player ( player_ID serial primary key, player_Points int not null default 0 ); create table task ( task_ID serial primary key, task_PointsAwarded int not null ); create table task_list ( player_ID int references player(player_ID), task_ID int references task(task_ID), when_completed timestamp default current_timestamp, point_value int not null, --not fk because task value may change later constraint pk_player_task_id primary key (player_ID, task_ID) ); So, the player.player_Points should be the total of all his cumulative task points in the task_list. Now where do I put the logic to enforce this? Should I do away with player.player_Points altogether and do queries every time I want to know the total score? Which seems wasteful since I'll be doing that query a lot over the course of a game. Or, put a trigger in the task_list that automatically updates the player.player_Points? Is that too much logic to have in the database and should just maintain this relationship in the application? Thanks.

  • In SQL, why is "select *, count(*) from sentGifts group by whenSent;" ok, but when "*" and "count(*)

    - by Jian Lin
    In SQL, using the table: mysql> select * from sentGifts; +--------+------------+--------+------+---------------------+--------+ | sentID | whenSent | fromID | toID | trytryWhen | giftID | +--------+------------+--------+------+---------------------+--------+ | 1 | 2010-04-24 | 123 | 456 | 2010-04-24 01:52:20 | 100 | | 2 | 2010-04-24 | 123 | 4568 | 2010-04-24 01:56:04 | 100 | | 3 | 2010-04-24 | 123 | NULL | NULL | 1 | | 4 | 2010-04-24 | NULL | 111 | 2010-04-24 03:10:42 | 2 | | 5 | 2010-03-03 | 11 | 22 | 2010-03-03 00:00:00 | 6 | | 6 | 2010-04-24 | 11 | 222 | 2010-04-24 03:54:49 | 6 | | 7 | 2010-04-24 | 1 | 2 | 2010-04-24 03:58:45 | 6 | +--------+------------+--------+------+---------------------+--------+ 7 rows in set (0.00 sec) The following is OK: mysql> select *, count(*) from sentGifts group by whenSent; +--------+------------+--------+------+---------------------+--------+----------+ | sentID | whenSent | fromID | toID | trytryWhen | giftID | count(*) | +--------+------------+--------+------+---------------------+--------+----------+ | 5 | 2010-03-03 | 11 | 22 | 2010-03-03 00:00:00 | 6 | 1 | | 1 | 2010-04-24 | 123 | 456 | 2010-04-24 01:52:20 | 100 | 6 | +--------+------------+--------+------+---------------------+--------+----------+ 2 rows in set (0.00 sec) But suppose we want the count(*) to appear as the first column: mysql> select count(*), * from sentGifts group by whenSent; ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '* from sentGifts group by whenSent' at line 1 it gave an error. Why is it so and what is a way to fix it? I realized that this is ok: mysql> select count(*), whenSent from sentGifts group by whenSent; +----------+------------+ | count(*) | whenSent | +----------+------------+ | 1 | 2010-03-03 | | 6 | 2010-04-24 | +----------+------------+ 2 rows in set (0.00 sec) but what about the one above that gave an error? thanks.

  • How to access individual items in Android GridView?

    - by source.rar
    Hi, I'm trying to create a game with a 9x9 grid with GridView. Each item in the grid is a TextView. I am able to set the initial values of each item in the grid within the getView() method to "0", however I want to change the value of each grid individually after this but have been unable to do so. I tried adding an update() function in my extended GridAdapter class that takes a position and a number to update at that position but this doesnt seem to be working. public void update(int position, int number) { TextView cell; cell = (TextView) getItem(position); if (cell != null) { cell.setText(Integer.toString(number)); } } Doe anyone know how this can be achieved? Here's the whole GridAdapter class in case require, public class SudokuGridAdapter extends BaseAdapter { private Context myContext; private TextView[] myCells; public SudokuGridAdapter(Context c) { myContext = c; myCells = new TextView[9*9]; } @Override public int getCount() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 9*9; } @Override public Object getItem(int position) { return myCells[position]; } @Override public long getItemId(int position) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 0; } @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { TextView cell; if (myCells[position] == null) { cell = myCells[position] = new TextView(myContext); cell.setText("0"); } else { cell = myCells[position]; } return cell; } public void update(int position, int number) { TextView cell; cell = (TextView) getItem(position); if (cell != null) { cell.setText(Integer.toString(number)); } } }

  • Android thread handler NullPointerException

    - by Realn0whereman
    So this null pointer is confusing me. I believe it is a scope issue. My main activity looks like this: public class App extends Activity { ProgressDialog progressDialog; ProgressThread progressThread; Then inside of the oncreate I do this: ProgressDialog progressDialog = new ProgressDialog(this); progressDialog.setProgressStyle(ProgressDialog.STYLE_SPINNER); progressDialog.setMessage("Fetching Images..."); ProgressThread progressThread = new ProgressThread(handler,mImageIds,mImages); progressThread.start(); progressDialog.show(); THEN inside progressThread which is a separate class I do mHandler.sendMessage(mHandler.obtainMessage()); Now up until this point i believe it behaves as it should. I have my handler hanging out in class scope right underneath my oncreate final Handler handler = new Handler() { public void handleMessage(Message msg){ progressDialog.hide(); progressThread.interrupt(); } }; The program thinks that progressDialog and progressThread are declared, but are null. Why would they be null if I instantiate in my oncreate.

  • SQL Server insert performance with and without primary key

    - by Eric
    Summary: I have a table populated via the following: insert into the_table (...) select ... from some_other_table Running the above query with no primary key on the_table is ~15x faster than running it with a primary key, and I don't understand why. The details: I think this is best explained through code examples. I have a table: create table the_table ( a int not null, b smallint not null, c tinyint not null ); If I add a primary key, this insert query is terribly slow: alter table the_table add constraint PK_the_table primary key(a, b); -- Inserting ~880,000 rows insert into the_table (a,b,c) select a,b,c from some_view; Without the primary key, the same insert query is about 15x faster. However, after populating the_table without a primary key, I can add the primary key constraint and that only takes a few seconds. This one really makes no sense to me. More info: The estimated execution plan shows 0% total query time spent on the clustered index insert SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer edition, 10.50.1600 Any ideas?

  • MPI_Bsend and MPI_Isend. How do they work ?

    - by GBBL
    Hi, using buffered send and non blocking send I was wondering how and if they implement a new level of parallelism in my application eventually generating a thread. Imagine that a slave process generates a large amount of data and want to send it to the master. My idea was to start a buffered or non blocking send then immediately begin to compute the next result. Just when I would have to send the new data I wold check if I can reuse the buffer. This would introduce a new level of parallelism in my application between CPU and communication. Does anybody knows how this is done in MPI ? Does MPI generate a new thread to handle the Bsend or Isend ? Thanks.

  • What does the destructor do silently?

    - by zhanwu
    Considering the following code which looks like that the destructor doesn't do any real job, valgrind showed me clearly that it has memory leak without using the destructor. Any body can explain me what does the destructor do in this case? #include <iostream> using namespace std; class A { private: int value; A* follower; public: A(int); ~A(); void insert(int); }; A::A(int n) { value = n; follower = NULL; } A::~A() { if (follower != NULL) delete follower; cout << "do nothing!" << endl; } void A::insert(int n) { if (this->follower == NULL) { A* f = new A(n); this->follower = f; } else this->follower->insert(n); } int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { A* objectA = new A(1); int i; for (i = 0; i < 10; i++) objectA->insert(i); delete objectA; }

  • Synchronize JTextFields Values by PropertyChangeListener

    - by gt_ebuddy
    I want to copy the value of a jTextField - TXTFLD1 to another jTextField -TXTFLD2 when the value at TXTFLD1 changes. I choose propertychangelistener because i cannot detect when the value at TXTFLD1 is changed, Because it is changed by some external code which i cannot modify now. The test code is as follows : public class TxtFldSync extends JFrame { private JButton BTN1 = null; private JTextField TXTFLD1 = null; private JTextField TXTFLD2 = null; public static void main(String[] args) { TxtFldSync thisClass = new TxtFldSync(); thisClass.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); thisClass.setVisible(true); } public TxtFldSync() { super(); this.setSize(300, 200); BTN1 = new JButton(); BTN1.setBounds(new Rectangle(178, 38, 67, 17)); TXTFLD1 = new JTextField(); TXTFLD1.setBounds(new Rectangle(32, 42, 83, 20)); TXTFLD2 = new JTextField(); TXTFLD2.setBounds(new Rectangle(30, 78, 83, 20)); //listeners TXTFLD1.addPropertyChangeListener("value", new PropertyChangeListener() { @Override public void propertyChange(PropertyChangeEvent arg0) { TXTFLD2.setText(TXTFLD1.getText()+"set by change listener"); //this doesnot work why ? } }); BTN1.addActionListener( new ActionListener() { @Override public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent arg0) { TXTFLD1.setText("Action Performed"); //i what to set same value to TXTFLD2 using property change listener } }); this.setContentPane(new Container()); this.getContentPane().add(BTN1); this.getContentPane().add(TXTFLD1); this.getContentPane().add(TXTFLD2); } } Why the property change listener is not working. What are the other alternatives solution for this problem?

  • MYSQL variables - SET @var

    - by Lizard
    I am attempting to create a mysql snippet that will analyse a table and remove duplicate entries (duplicates are based on two fields not entire record) I have the following code that works when I hard code the variables in the queries, but when I take them out and put them as variables I get mysql errors, below is the script SET @tblname = 'mytable'; SET @fieldname = 'myfield'; SET @concat1 = 'checkfield1'; SET @concat2 = 'checkfield2'; ALTER TABLE @tblname ADD `tmpcheck` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL; UPDATE @tblname SET `tmpcheck` = CONCAT(@concat1,'-',@concat2); CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE `tmp_table` ( `tmpfield` VARCHAR( 100 ) NOT NULL ) ENGINE = MYISAM ; INSERT INTO `tmp_table` (`tmpfield`) SELECT @fieldname FROM @tblname GROUP BY `tmpcheck` HAVING ( COUNT(`tmpcheck`) > 1 ); DELETE FROM @tblname WHERE @fieldname IN (SELECT `tmpfield` FROM `tmp_table`); ALTER TABLE @tblname DROP `tmpcheck`; I am getting the following error: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '@tblname ADD `tmpcheck` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL' at line 1 Is this because I can't use a variable for a table name? I am using Sybase, but if you can think of a way to do this with other DBMS, please let me know. Thanks.

  • EF 4 Query - Issue with Multiple Parameters

    - by Brian
    Hello, A trick to avoiding filtering by nullable parameters in SQL was something like the following: select * from customers where (@CustomerName is null or CustomerName = @CustomerName) This worked well for me in LINQ to SQL: string customerName = "XYZ"; var results = (from c in ctx.Customers where (customerName == null || (customerName != null && c.CustomerName == customerName)) select c); But that above query, when in ADO.NET EF, doesn't work for me; it should filter by customer name because it exists, but it doesn't. Instead, it's querying all the customer records. Now, this is a simplified example, because I have many fields that I'm utilizing this kind of logic with. But it never actually filters, queries all the records, and causes a timeout exception. But the wierd thing is another query does something similarly, with no issues. Any ideas why? Seems like a bug to me, or is there a workaround for this? I've since switched to extension methods which works. Thanks.

  • Is "programmatically" a word? [closed]

    - by Lo'oris
    I can't find it on any of the online dictionaries I know: dict.org, word reference, urban dictionary, oxford paravia, garzanti. To my ears of a non-native speaker, it sounds horrible. Actually it sounds like a word made-up by another non-native speaker that wanted to say something, didn't know how, and just hacked in a word of his language. The only place I've read it other then user-created-content is the android documentation, so this might or might not be related. Do you happen to know where did it start to be used, why by did it spread so much, what does it really mean?

    I want to load an SDL_Surface into an OpenGL texture with padding (so that NPOT-POT) and apply a color key on the surface afterwards. I either end up colorkeying all pixels, regardless of their color, or not colorkey anything at all. I have tried a lot of different things, but none of them seem to work. Here's the working snippet of my code. I use a custom color class for the colorkey (range [0-1]): // Create an empty surface with the same settings as the original image SDL_Surface* paddedImage = SDL_CreateRGBSurface(image->flags, width, height, image->format->BitsPerPixel, #if SDL_BYTEORDER == SDL_BIG_ENDIAN 0xff000000, 0x00ff0000, 0x0000ff00, 0x000000ff #else 0x000000ff, 0x0000ff00, 0x00ff0000, 0xff000000 #endif ); // Map RGBA color to pixel format value Uint32 colorKeyPixelFormat = SDL_MapRGBA(paddedImage->format, static_cast<Uint8>(colorKey.R * 255), static_cast<Uint8>(colorKey.G * 255), static_cast<Uint8>(colorKey.B * 255), static_cast<Uint8>(colorKey.A * 255)); SDL_FillRect(paddedImage, NULL, colorKeyPixelFormat); // Blit the image onto the padded image SDL_BlitSurface(image, NULL, paddedImage, NULL); SDL_SetColorKey(paddedImage, SDL_SRCCOLORKEY, colorKeyPixelFormat); Afterwards, I generate an OpenGL texture from paddedImage using similar code to the SDL+OpenGL texture loading code found online (I'll post if necessary). This code works if I just want the texture with or without padding, and is likely not the problem. I realize that I set all pixels in paddedImage to have alpha zero which causes the first problem I mentioned, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Should I just loop over the pixels and set the appropriate colors to have alpha zero?

  • Stored Procedure, 'incorrect syntax error'

    - by jacksonSD
    Attempting to figure out sp's, and I'm getting this error: "Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 5 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'Procedure'." the error seems to be on the if, but I can drop other existing tables with stored procedures the exact same way so I'm not clear on why this isn't working. can anyone shed some light? Begin Set nocount on Begin Try Create Procedure uspRecycle as if OBJECT_ID('Recycle') is not null Drop Table Recycle create table Recycle (RecycleID integer constraint PK_integer primary key, RecycleType nchar(10) not null, RecycleDescription nvarchar(100) null) insert into Recycle (RecycleID,RecycleType,RecycleDescription) values ('1','Compost','Product is compostable, instructions included in packaging') insert into Recycle (RecycleID,RecycleType,RecycleDescription) values ('2','Return','Product is returnable to company for 100% reuse') insert into Recycle (RecycleID,RecycleType,RecycleDescription) values ('3','Scrap','Product is returnable and will be reclaimed and reprocessed') insert into Recycle (RecycleID,RecycleType,RecycleDescription) values ('4','None','Product is not recycleable') End Try Begin Catch DECLARE @ErrMsg nvarchar(4000); SELECT @ErrMsg = ERROR_MESSAGE(); Throw 50001, @ErrMsg, 1; End Catch -- checking to see if table exists and is loaded: If (Select count(*) from Recycle) >1 begin Print 'Recycle table created and loaded '; Print getdate() End set nocount off End

  • Django GenericRelation doesn't save related object's id - is this a bug or am I doing it wrong?

    - by pinkeen
    I have a model with a generic relation (call it A), when creating an instance of this object I pass an instance of another model (call it B) as the initializer of the content_object field (via kwargs of the constructor). If I don't save B before creating A then when saving A the content_object_id is saved to the db as NULL. If I save B before passing it to the constructor of A then everything's allright. It's not logical. I assumed that the ID of the related object (B) is fetched when doing A.save() and it should throw some kind of an exception if B isn't saved yet but it just fails silently. I don't like the current solution (saving B beforhand) because we don't know yet if I will be always willing to keep the object, not just scrap it, and there are performance considerations - what if I will add some another data and save it once more shortly after. class BaseNodeData(models.Model): ... extnodedata_content_type = models.ForeignKey(ContentType, null=True) extnodedata_object_id = models.PositiveIntegerField(null=True) extnodedata = generic.GenericForeignKey(ct_field='extnodedata_content_type', fk_field='extnodedata_object_id') class MarkupNodeData(models.Model): raw_content = models.TextField() Suppose we do: markup = MarkupNodeData(raw_content='...') base = BaseNodeData(..., extnodedata=markup) markup.save() base.save() # both records are inserted to the DB but base is stored with extnodedata_object_id=NULL markup = MarkupNodeData(raw_content='...') base = BaseNodeData(..., extnodedata=markup) base.save() markup.save() # no exception is thrown and everything is the same as above markup = MarkupNodeData(raw_content='...') markup.save() base = BaseNodeData(..., extnodedata=markup) base.save() # this works as expected Of course I can do it this way, but it doesn't change anything: base = BaseNodeData(...) base.extnodedata = markup My question is - is this a bug in django which I should report or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Docs on GenericRelations aren't exactly verbose.

  • Rails using plural table names even though I told it to use singular

    - by Jason Swett
    I tried to run rake test:profile and I got this error: ... Table 'mcif2.accounts' doesn't exist: DELETE FROM `accounts` I know accounts doesn't exist. It's called account. I know Rails uses plural table names by default but here's what my config/environment.rb looks like: # Load the rails application require File.expand_path('../application', __FILE__) # Initialize the rails application McifRails::Application.initialize! ActiveRecord::Base.pluralize_table_names = false And here's what db/schema.rb looks like: ActiveRecord::Schema.define(:version => 0) do create_table "account", :force => true do |t| t.integer "customer_id", :limit => 8, :null => false t.string "account_number", :null => false t.integer "account_type_id", :limit => 8 t.date "open_date", :null => false So I don't understand why Rails still wants to call it accounts sometimes. Any ideas? If it helps give any clues at all, here are the results of grep -ir 'accounts' *.
