    I'd like to have a smart auto-completition of currently staged file names when using git diff. Example: modified: DIR1/LongCamelCaseFileName.h modified: DIR1/AnotherLongCamelCaseFileName.m modified: DIR1/AndThereAreALotOfThemInDir1.m modified: DIR2/file4.m and here, using bash tab-auto-complete functionality I'd like to use it with git diff where by smart I mean that after typing git diff I'd need to type only a short part of the staged file name that I want to diff, and without a dirname, so for example git diff And<TAB> would result in git diff AndThereAreALotOfThemInDir1.m Actually, without a dir-ommiting-part it would be still useful (auto-completing using only staged files pool).

The problem is that the grid doesn't apply the auto height what I liked to. So I want to make all the available screen size to grid.row=0.   • width:auto for <input> fields

    Newbie CSS question. I thought 'width:auto' for a display:block element meant 'fill available space'. However for an <input> element this doesn't seem to be the case. For example: <body> <form style='background-color:red'> <input type='text' style='background-color:green;display:block;width:auto'> </form> </body> Two questions then: Is there a definition of exactly what width:auto does mean? The CSS spec seems vague to me, but maybe I missed the relevant section. Is there a way to achieve my expected behaviour for a input field - ie. fill available space like other block level elements do? Thanks!

    Is it possible to auto-execute a command in a folder if you move to it via the cd command? Of course I can define my own command (e.g. CHD.BAT) doing something like this: @echo off cd %1 if exist init.bat ( init.bat ) else ( color 0F title Command Prompt ) But I wonder if something like this would be possible using the standard CD command.

  • SQL SERVER – A Puzzle – Swap Value of Column Without Case Statement

    For the last few weeks, I have been doing Friday Puzzles and I am really loving it. Yesterday I received a very interesting question by Navneet Chaurasia on Facebook Page. He was asked this question in one of the interview questions for job. Please read the original thread for a complete idea of the conversation. I am presenting the same question here. Puzzle Let us assume there is a single column in the table called Gender. The challenge is to write a single update statement which will flip or swap the value in the column. For example if the value in the gender column is ‘male’ swap it with ‘female’ and if the value is ‘female’ swap it with ‘male’. Here is the quick setup script for the puzzle. USE tempdb GO CREATE TABLE SimpleTable (ID INT, Gender VARCHAR(10)) GO INSERT INTO SimpleTable (ID, Gender) SELECT 1, 'female' UNION ALL SELECT 2, 'male' UNION ALL SELECT 3, 'male' GO SELECT * FROM SimpleTable GO The above query will return following result set. The puzzle was to write a single update column which will generate following result set. There are multiple answers to this simple puzzle. Let me show you three different ways. I am assuming that the column will have either value ‘male’ or ‘female’ only. Method 1: Using CASE Statement I believe this is going to be the most popular solution as we are all familiar with CASE Statement. UPDATE SimpleTable SET Gender = CASE Gender WHEN 'male' THEN 'female' ELSE 'male' END GO SELECT * FROM SimpleTable GO Method 2: Using REPLACE  Function I totally understand it is the not cleanest solution but it will for sure work in giving situation. UPDATE SimpleTable SET Gender = REPLACE(('fe'+Gender),'fefe','') GO SELECT * FROM SimpleTable GO Method 3: Using IIF in SQL Server 2012 If you are using SQL Server 2012 you can use IIF and get the same effect as CASE statement. UPDATE SimpleTable SET Gender = IIF(Gender = 'male', 'female', 'male') GO SELECT * FROM SimpleTable GO You can read my article series on SQL Server 2012 various functions over here.   • Auto populate Outlook with other users' calendars

    In Outlook 2007, when in Calendar view, there's a category (group) of calendars on the left hand bar titled "People's Calendars". We're migrating from a system where all employees have access to read and write to all other employees' calendars (via a 3rd party Web Calendar). Is it possible, from an admin level, to auto-populate this People's Calendars category in everyone's Outlook with all the employees in the company, and grant everyone read / write access to everyone else's calendars?     While working on some code recently I discovered a neat little trick to find the maximum value across several columns….. So the starting point was finding the maximum date across several related tables and storing the maximum value against an aggregated record. After considering pivoting the data I opted for a case statement, this seemed reasonable until I discovered other areas which needed to determine the maximum date between 5 or more tables which didn't scale well. The final solution involved using the value clause within a sub query as followed.     My BlackBerry Bold (9000) auto-reboots approximately daily, generally while I am listening to podcasts that have been saved to my add-in memory card. Neither the built-in card nor my add-in card are full. An OS update had no effect. I am using the default media player. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    I use the auto-hide taskbar feature and I have problems with Google Chrome when it is maximized: the taskbar will not pop up at mouse hover over the taskbar position (really annoying).     I'm setting up a database server on EC2, and I need to ensure that an EBS volume is automatically attached and is available before the database service starts up. I'm using SMF so I can test whether a particular filesystem is available before starting the db service, so there's no problem from that perspective, however I'm not quite sure how to tell the server to auto-attach the EBS volume during/after boot. What would be the best strategy for this?

    Our office is closing for the holidays, and I want to setup an auto reply if anyone attempts to email. Rather than get everyone to do it individually I want to set a blanket message on the Exchange 2010 server. Looking around here I found hub transport rules can be used, but I don't want to send a rejection message, like in this post I want to keep the message but just say that we won't get back to you fora couple of weeks. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    In our sbs 2003 domain environment, the clients' pc's inactive for default period will be locked out automatically and only Ctrl+ Alt + Del & client password combination will unlock the client's pcs. Recently around 9 months before, all our client's pc's joined the new sbs 2011 but (usually all are locking with Win+L key combination manually)the auto lock feature is not working from the beginning onwards. Now only I am brought up with this issue by clients. Please help me set that option!

C:\path\to\putty.exe -load "[Sessionname]" -l [user] -pw [password] -m C:\path\to\commands.txt Commands.txt contains the following command ps -elf|grep 'sometext' but when I try to do so a new window for putty comes and exits instantly after login. I cannot see the output of command in commands.txt What is the problem;. Is there error in my approach or I need some more command to make the putty window pause for sometime before exiting.

  • RSS feed generated by SharePoint has a stylesheet tag and how to remove that

    The feed which SharePoint Generates is here (I copied it to pastie because I thought it would be clear there) However, the xml file comes with a style sheet tag. How do I remove that? Does SharePoint always generate that? Due to the presence of that tag, I am unable to apply another style sheet of my own using the XML WebPart. EDIT: I don't think the issue is related to the style sheet. If I copy the xml and paste it in the "Xml Editor" of the Web Part everything works just fine. If I provide the URL, that is when I do not see any data.     My question is about integration between a Java web service and a C# .NET client. Service: CXF 2.2.3 with Aegis databinding Client: C#, .NET 3.5 SP1 For some reason Visual Studio generates two C# proxy enums for each Java enum. The generated C# classes do not compile.
