  • How can I prevent javascript errors in my selenium tests from hanging my build system?

    We are having a problem with our selenium tests which run in IE on a virtual machine. Whenever there is a javascript error, a popup shows up and puts our system into a 'stuck' state - a user has to go clear that and restart the selenium test run. Is there a way to prevent the javascript error popup from putting the system into its stuck state? Would setting window.error be of any help here?

  • IE showing "decimal" instead of "comma"

    I am having an issue with a slider (implemented using Prototype) and IE7. Upon the slider value change I update a with the value such as "420,000". Now on all browsers other than IE7 this is display correctly. But on IE7 it is displayed as "420.000" .. my question is how did the "," become "." the page has UTF-8 meta tag. Any help?

    Hello! I'm running this query: SELECT DISTINCT CONCAT(ALFA_CLAVE, FECHA_NACI) FROM listado GROUP BY ALFA_CLAVE HAVING count(CONCAT(ALFA_CLAVE, FECHA_NACI)) > 1 Is there any way to optimize it? Queries are taking 2-3 hours on a table with 850,000 rows. Adding an index to ALFA_CLAVE and FECHA_NACI would work? Thanks in advanced

  • Need help with text animation within UITableViewCell

    I'm trying to implement a simple text animation in a custom UITableViewCell without having to go into editing mode which automatically brings up the delete button on the right. What I'm trying to accomplish is that when the label is updated by a button within the UITableviewcell, the text in the label is updated but with some smooth animation like sliding to the right since the updated text is prepended to the string. Any sample code would be great. thanks

  • Emacs bulk indent for Python

    Working with Python in Emacs if I want to add a try/catch to a block of code, I often find that I am having to indent the whole block, line by line. In Emacs, how do you indent the whole block at once. I am not an experienced Emacs user, but just find it is the best tool for working through ssh. I am using Emacs on the command line(Ubuntu), not as a gui, if that makes any difference.

Write a class, MyCourses, that contains an enumeration of all the courses that you are currently taking. This enum should be nested inside of your class MyCourses.     I've committed myself to diving into vim to become faster at writing code for ruby/python and I'm having a hard time navigating around files. Mainly, I'm referring to switching between insert mode and navigation modes. Maybe I'm just not completely used to the editor yet but it feels very awkward to constantly be switching in and out of insert mode. Is this something that will go away with time? Are there any tricks to getting quicker at moving in and out of insert mode?
