• Is there a better way to write this .htaccess directive?

  I want all css, javascript, and image file requests, that are named like this "filename.12345.css" to be re-routed to "filename.css". The ".12345" part will always be numbers and the length can be anywhere from 11 - 15 characters. This directive seems to work OK but I want to make sure there is no error in my logic.   I have a login controller that use the hibernate uniqueResult method. Everything works fine when i test it in eclipse's tomcat server. But when i deploy my webapps to tomcat server (on the same machine) it fails: it always returns null even i use the correct credential. In Douglas Crockford's JavaScript: The Good Parts, it is advised to always avoid '=='. However, I'm wondering what the original thought of designing two set of equality operators was. Have you seen any situation that using '==' actually is more suitable than using '==='?

  So whenever I write code I always think about the performance implications. I've often wondered, what is the "cost" of using a memcopy relative to other functions in terms of performance? For example, I may be writing a sequence of numbers to a static buffer and concentrate on a frame within the buffer, in order to keep the frame once I get to the end of the buffer, I might memcopy all of it to the beginning OR I can implement an algorithm to amortize the computation.

  Hi, Although a static class has only one instance and can't be instantiated, a class with a private constructor can't be instantiated (as the constructor can't be seen), so every time you call this class, this is the same one instance?   Hi, I wrote a code for pinging of given URL.It works fine for me.But whenever i clicked on the start ping button, pinging started but that time focus always is on start button and no widget of the screen working that time. I can do echo "$#-2" | bc but, I shouldn't I be able to get array size ? I can use bc to do integer comparison. but I've to know the size of `candidates array which I am not getting properly.
