    i got a code of 100-200 rules for making a table. but the whole time is happening the same. i got a variable $xm3, then i make a column . next row, i got $xm2 and make column. next row, i got $xm1 and make column. so my variables are going to $xm3, $xm2, $xm1, $xm0, $xp1, $xp2, $xp3. is there a way to make a forloop so i can fill $xm and after that a value from the for loop?

    Regex is absolutely my weak point and this one has me completely stumped. I am building a fairly basic search functionality and I need to be able to alter my user input based on the following pattern: Subject: %22first set%22 %22second set%22-drupal -wordpress Desired output: +"first set" +"second set" -drupal -wordpress I wish I could be more help as I normally like to at least post the solution I have so far, but on this one I'm at a loss.   • Organize array in PHP from mysql

    Hi i have a social networking website. what i want it to do is pull out my friends status updates. basically what it does is i have a mysql query that pulls out all of my friends and in that while loop there is another mysql query that pulls out the status's from my friends. i want it to be in order of date but since its one while loop in another what it does is pull out all status's from friend 1 then 2 then 3 and not in order by date. i even tried ORDER BY DATE but that just ordered it by date within the friend.. my thought is that i could putt it all in an array and friends is one thing and the values is the stats. then just sort by values would this work and how could i do it.     I have a class called "Layout" for the layout of the page, another class called "User" for the user. Every page I create, I instantiate a new Layout. When a user logs in, there is a new User instantiated. How do I get an instance of the layout class to know about the instantiated user? I could also save the entire instance of the User in a session variable. I assume that's a bad idea though. What are the best practices for this?

  • PHP rewrite giving 404, .htaccess problem?

    I have the following .htaccess: #Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase /phptest on my local testing server (http://localhost) I have to uncomment the first line for the site to work. Otherwise I get Error 403 (Forbidden). Once I upload the page to my webserver (FastHosts) I get Error 500 (Internal Server Error) if the first line is not commented out. If I comment it out, my page loads but it cannot find the page content which is mydomain.com/phptest/Home I get a 404. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

    Not sure if there is a way to check a variable if it is explode-able or not...     I'm making a task-based program that needs to have plugins. Tasks need to have properties which can be easily edited, I think this can be done with Qt's Meta-Object Compiler reflection capabilities (I could be wrong, but I should be able to stick this in a QtPropertyBrowser?) So here's the base: class Task : public QObject { Q_OBJECT public: explicit Task(QObject *parent = 0) : QObject(parent){} virtual void run() = 0; signals: void taskFinished(bool success = true); } Then a plugin might have this task: class PrinterTask : public Task { Q_OBJECT public: explicit PrinterTask(QObject *parent = 0) : Task(parent) {} void run() { Printer::getInstance()->Print(this->getData()); // fictional emit taskFinished(true); } inline const QString &getData() const; inline void setData(QString data); Q_PROPERTY(QString data READ getData WRITE setData) // for reflection } In a nutshell, here's what I want to do: // load plugin // find all the Tasks interface implementations in it // have user able to choose a Task and edit its specific Q_PROPERTY's // run the TASK It's important that one .dll has multiple tasks, because I want them to be associated by their module. For instance, "FileTasks.dll" could have tasks for deleting files, making files, etc. The only problem with Qt's plugin setup is I want to store X amount of Tasks in one .dll module. As far as I can tell, you can only load one interface per plugin (I could be wrong?). If so, the only possible way to do accomplish what I want is to create a FactoryInterface with string based keys which return the objects (as in Qt's Plug-And-Paint example), which is a terrible boilerplate that I would like to avoid. Anyone know a cleaner C++ plugin architecture than Qt's to do what I want? Also, am I safely assuming Qt's reflection capabilities will do what I want (i.e. able to edit an unknown dynamically loaded tasks' properties with the QtPropertyBrowser before dispatching)?

  • How to execute a large PHP Script ?

    Well basically I may want to execute a script that may take as much as 1 hours as well. What I really want to do is Send SMS to my users using a third party API. So its basically like I supply my script with an array of phone numbers and fire the method to send SMS. However assuming it take 5 seconds to send 1 SMS and I want to send 1000 SMS which is roughly 1 - 2 hours. I can use set_time_limit() because I am on shared host. One way to do this is store numbers in a session and execute each SMS and use javascript to refresh that page until end. This way I need to keep my browser open and the execution will stop if my Internet Connection is disconnected. So, Is there any better way to do this ? Hope I am clear enough to explain what I want? I want to execute a large script that may take hours to execute without getting timeout.

Now what I am trying to do is in a report I have the top 5 people who have visited the site and would like to then be able to drill down into what lessons they have clicked on. Can anyone help with this? Or would restructuring the way the database is be an easier task? Thanks
