• IE I-Frame 1px border to the right

  Please look at http://www.mymix947.com In the header i have a 1px border to the right of the banner. You will see a black line dividing the banner and listen live button. This is an i-frame and I can't seem to eliminate the line. This seems to only happen with Windows 7 - IE Browser 8.0.7 When my browser is full screen - i dont see it, but if i shrink the browser slightly - the line is there. Any tips would be great! Thanks!

• WPF,XAML: How to set the ZIndex of a particular control to the topmost.

  how do i set any control to the topmost of the screen. For e.g. i have a textblock in a datatemplate or a hierarchichal data template..etc... now i would like to set this textblock to the topmost on mouseover. Setting the Grid.ZIndex value to 1 in the trigger for IsMouseOver doesn't work many times. In order to do that i set the ZIndex value for all the contols to -1 in the window. it worked in one scenario but doesn't work other times. If anyone can get me the details of ZIndex and how to set the control to the topmost without worrying about the other controls, it would be of great help. Note: setting the value of ZIndex to a higher value e.g. 99999 also doesn't work.

Often worker who produce a greater quantity of output are paid at a higher rate. 1 - 199 pieces completed $0.50 each 200 - 399 $0.55 each (for all pieces) 400 - 599 $0.60 each 600 or more $0.65 each Input: For each worker, input the name and number of pieces completed. • Customising Symfony Admin Generator Form

  Hi, I've generated the backend of my application, and am now just 'jazzing' the forms up (adding correct labels, validation rules etc). One thing I'd like to do is add a map (Google) which updates the marker as an address is entered into the form, then allows the user to drag it to correct the lat/lng should it be a little off. My question is, how can I customise the output of the form - I've read the docs (1.0,1.1,1.2 also) and it all seems very confusing. Customising forms not generated with the admin generator I know how to do using renderRow(); etc; but finding a way to add a little bit of HTML to the forms is making my eyes hurt! There's so much out of date stuff on the web regarding Symfony it's hard to know what to trust! If anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be great. Best Regards, Rich

• Creating a new project from a project skeleton using git

  In order to get a new django project up and running faster, I'd like to maintain a separate "project skeleton" on which I base all my new projects. It would be great if, as I improved the skeleton, I could bring those improvements into my active projects. How can I accomplish this with git? So, maybe in my remote git repository machine I would have 1 repo for each project and one for the skeleton? proj-A-repo proj-B-repo skeleton-repo If I want to create a new proj-C locally based on the skeleton, then push my local changes up to the remote server in a new repo called proj-C-repo, how might I do this? I've read through quite a bit of git documentation, but I'm confused about how to go about this. Do I need to clone the skeleton, or create an empty repo and then track a remote branch, or something else?

• How to read tags out of m4a files in .NET?

  I've got some heavily modified code that ultimately came from the Windows Media SDK that works great for reading tags out of MP3 and WMV files. Somewhere along the line, Windows Media Player added support for .m4a files (was it in Windows 7?) but the Windows Media API doesn't seem to reflect that addition (or at least IWMMetadataEditor2::OpenEx pukes on an .m4a file). What would be some good C# code or links on how to dig meta data tags out of m4a files? (Google has come up dry on the C# front.) UPDATE AtomicParsley did indeed end being the best approach. Since that code is a command line tool however I ended up having to create a managed wrapper around some of its functionality in order to use in-process. It is posted on google code if anyone else needs such a thing.

  I have a git alias (git undo) that undoes everything in the working directory, including new files, changed files, and deleted files: !git reset --hard && git ls-files -d | xargs -0 git rm --ignore-unmatch && git clean -fq On OS X, this works great. On Linux, however, I run into the following issue: if no files have been deleted from the repository, the git ls-files -d | xargs -0 git rm --ignore-unmatch command will fail (xargs will be passed nothing). Is there a way to have xargs silently move on if it receives nothing from git ls-files?

• Eclipse Project Files to .exe or Runnable Jar

  I am able to create the runnable jar using the export feature. However, it does not behave like it does in eclipse. When my program first starts, launch settings are displayed. I can see this. However, when I want to actually launch the meat of the program, it doesn't show up. It seems to not look at all my class files or something. I have tried Far Jar but that didn't work... I have triend JSmooth but still just ran the one frame If I can make this a runnable jar that works or even a .exe, that would be great!

• Gracefully trap error on dos start cmd

  On a cmd prompt or bat file, I issue the following: start textpad myfile.txt and it works fine. If the program textpad does not exist on the computer, then an error sound and a popup occurs which the OK button must be pushed. I desire to trap this error so that I could do something like start textpad myfile.txt || start notepad myfile.txt where the || implies that if the start of textpad is not successful, then the start of notepad should occur. HOWEVER, I still get the error sound and requirement of hitting OK. My intent is to avoid the sound and the requirement of any user intervention.   Hi, I am new to XML and have been trying some simple examples and they work fine. I want to do something like the following, but I am not able to figure out how to go about doing this. I have a HTML web page, where the user types in some data in an input field. I want to take that data, parse it to create an XML string, and the apply XSLT transformation to it, and display the result back on the page. All this needs to be done on the client browser, with JavaScript. If some one could point out the steps or the general procedure to go about doing this, it would be great. • Post Loading ads from Google Admanager

  I have changed code around to basically load an add the bottom of the page in a hidden div and attached an onload event handler that called document.getElementById(xxx).appendChild() to take the hidden ad and move it into the right spot in my page. This works GREAT.. however when the ad is a text ad it AFTER i move the ad there is nothing in the rendered Iframe. I did tests to see what it looks like before i move it and sure enough the text links load in the IFRAME but the second i do the appendChild call to move the div that contains the ad i seem to loose the contents of the Iframe.   I have used the 2to3 utility to convert code from the command line. What I would like to do is run it basically as a unittest. Even if it tests the file rather than parts(funtions, methods...) as would be normal for a unittest. It does not need to be a unittest and I don't what to automatically convert the files I just want to monitor the py3 compliance of files in a unittest like manor. I can't seem to find any documentation or examples for this. An example and/or documentation would be great. Thanks

  I'm wondering how other programmers are backing up changes that are not under source control yet, be it new files or modified ones. I'm mostly referring to medium size jobs - hardly worth the effort of making a private branch, but taking more than a day to complete. This is not a vendor-specific question - I'd like to see if various products have different solutions to the problem. I'd appreciate answers referring to SVN and distributed SCCs, though. I'm mostly wondering about that latters (Mercurial, GIT etc.) - it's great that you have your own local repo, but do you back it up on a regular basis along with your source files? Note - I'm not asking about a general backup strategy. For that, we have IT. I'm seeking the best way to keep locally modified stuff backed-up before they are checked back into the main repo.

Solution so far: Fetch the Feed every 5 hours, store all titles inside an Database table or flat file. • WCF: connecting to service over internet times out

  Still on the WCF learning curve: I've set up a self-hosted WCF Service (WSDualHttpBinding), which works fine on my own computer, which resides behind a firewall. If I run the client on my own computer, everything works great. Now I installed the client on a computer outside my network, and I'm trying to access the service via a dynamic DNS, like so: http://mydomain.dyndns.org:8000/MyService. My port forwarding issues were taken care of in a previous question; I can now see the service is up in my browser. But now when I try to run the client on the other machine, I get the following error message: "The open operation did not complete within the allotted timeout of 00:01:00. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout." I have disabled security on the service, so that's not it. What else might be preventing the connection from happening?

This works great for devices like thumb-drives where as soon as the device arrives it is ready to have files read from it. • If I CFRelease() an image in core data, how do I get it back?

  My iphone app plays a slide show made up of 5 user images.  These images are stored using core data.  I was noticing that memory was building up every time a different slide show was played and it was not releasing any of the previously played slide shows.   These images are showing up in Object Allocations as CFData. So I tried releasing this data in the dealloc method CFRelease(slideshow.image1); CFRelease(slideshow.image2); CFRelease(slideshow.image3); CFRelease(slideshow.image4); CFRelease(slideshow.image5); This releases the previous slideshow great...BUT when I go back to view that same slideshow again, it crashes.   I am guessing that I need to alloc/init these images again, but I am not sure how?  Or maybe I should be managing this memory in a different way?

• Silverlight Video Player that plays .MP4 & .FLV

  I am currently using the Silverlight 2 Video Player to stream videos. I have been very pleased with it but it only seems to stream .WMV files. Does anyone know if there is a good Silverlight video player that will stream other types of video files, especially .MP4 & .FLV? I would be happy to use Silverlight 3 if necessary. EDIT: Because I like this player and have not found a great option, I am considering encoding files as I receive them so that they will always be streamed later as a .WMV. Unless I determine a good player (I am considering flash at this point), I will have to go down this road.
