• How to allow the user to select an input file for my SQL AdventureWorks web application?

  I have a SQL and VS 2008 web application that I need to capture the full file path (directories and file name) from the selected file on the client computer. So user selects a file and then clicks on one of the buttons which transfers control to my code for processing. So how do I get its file path? I can get the file name, but not the path. Maybe problem is that while testing this web app, I am using the server instead of client machine. And I learned that on a server you cannot read the full file path due to security concerns. Is this true? If I just want this to work on client machine, which method/class do you recommend? And then how can I test it? My web app allows the user to select an input file and then map columns from the input .MDF file with columns from the selected Adventureworks table. Finally, after they click on the "Append" button, it adds rows from the input file to that table. So I want to capture the path info after they click this button.

• Issue in creating Zip file using glob.glob

  Hi, I am creating a Zip file from a folder (and subfolders). it works fine and creates a new .zip file also but I am having an issue while using glob.glob. It is reading all files from the desired folder (source folder) and writing to the new zip file but the problem is that it is, however, adding subdirectories, but not adding files form the subdirectories. I am giving user an option to select the filename and path as well as filetype also (Zip or Tar). I don;t get any problem while creating .tar.gz file, but when use creates .zip file, this problem comes across. Here is my code: for name in (Source_Dir): for name in glob.glob("/path/to/source/dir/*" ): myZip.write(name, os.path.basename(name), zipfile.ZIP_DEFLATED) myZip.close() Also, if I use code below: for dirpath, dirnames, filenames in os.walk(Source_Dir): myZip.write(os.path.join(dirpath, filename) os.path.basename(filename)) myZip.close() Now the 2nd code taks all files even if it inside the folder/ subfolders, creates a new .zip file and write to it without any directory strucure. It even does not take dir structure for main folder and simply write all files from main dir or subdir to that .zip file. Can anyone please help me or suggest me. But, for some reason, the AST nodes of my DSL don't get linked together properly. Can anyone help me in diagnosing this problem?

• Re-factoring a CURL request to Ruby's RestClient

• What should I really release as open source when I use Berkeley DB (JE)?

  The Berkeley DB (JE) license information says: "...Redistributions in any form must be accompanied by information on how to obtain complete source code for the DB software and any accompanying software that uses the DB software.... For an executable file, complete source code means the source code for all modules it contains. It does not include source code for modules or files that typically accompany the major components of the operating system on which the executable file runs." If I build an abstraction level on top of BDB JE, should I open source only that library or any software that uses BDB JE indirectly?

• How can I check the version of an assembly then delete the assembly?

  I am using the FileVersionInfo to retrieve the version of a .Net assembly. Then, I want to immediately delete the file. Unfortunately after I call GetVersionInfo, any attempt to delete the file results in an error “…in use by another process…” Is there another technique to determine the version that does not lock the file? Or, is it possible to ensure the lock is released after calling GetVersionInfo? There are other controllers with say a @RequestMapping of "/test" etc. My application seems to be mapping correctly for paths like /appname/test, but if I add a trailing slash to the path, like so "/appname/test/ then it maps to the controller that has the @RequestMapping for root path "/". Any idea why?

However, if it's the first time we access the page that image doesn't exist yet and imagecache_create_path doesn't generate it either. • Cleaning up a sparsebundle with a script

  I'm using time machine to backup some servers to a sparse disk image bundle and I'd like to have a script to clean up the old back ups and re-size the image once space has been freed up. I'm fairly certain the data is protected because if I delete the old backups by right clicking, I have to enter a password to be able to delete them. To allow my script to be able to delete them, I've been running it as root. For some reason, it just won't run and every file it tries to delete I get rm: /file/: Operation not permitted Here is what I have as my script: #!/bin/bash for server in servername; do /usr/bin/hdiutil attach -mountpoint /path/to/mountpoint /path/to/sparsebundle/$server.sparsebundle/; /bin/sleep 10; /usr/bin/find /path/to/mountpoint -type d -mtime +7 -exec /bin/rm -rf {} \; /usr/bin/hdiutil unmount /path/to/mountpoint; /bin/sleep 10; /usr/bin/hdiutil compact /path/to/sparsebundle/$server.sparsebundle/; done exit; One of the problems I thought was causing this was it needed to have a mountpoint specified since the default mount was to /Volumes/Time\ Machine\ Backups/ that's why I created a mountpoint. I also thought that it was trying to delete the files to quickly after mounting and it wasn't actually mounted yet, that's why I added the sleep. I've also tried using the -delete option for find instead of -exec, but it didn't make any difference. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated because I'm out of ideas as to why this won't work.

This work for the usercontrol within RowDetailsTemplate but not in the CellTemplate.   I have a question and I hope you can help me solve it... I have a castle monorails application. In web.config file in httphandlers I have *.aspx maped to monorails (my hosting does not suport other extensions...) <add verb="*" path="*.aspx" type="Castle.MonoRail.Framework.MonoRailHttpHandlerFactory,Castle.MonoRail.Framework"/> The problem is that I have some Webforms pages that I want to work with aspx... So I am adding something like this to the web.config file... <add verb="*" path="connector.aspx*" type="System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory"/> <add verb="*" path="ChatPage.aspx*" type="System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory"/> <add verb="*" path="Logon.aspx*" type="System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory"/> Still it does not work.. • XDocument.Parse fails due to resolution error, how to disable resolution

  I am trying to parse the contents of http://feeds.feedburner.com/riabiz using XDocument.Parse(string) (because it gets cached in a DB.) However, it keeps failing with the below stack trace when it tries to resolve some URIs in that XML. I don't care about validation or any of that XML nonsense, I just want the structure parsed. How can I use XDocument without this URI resolution?
