  • Ajax auto-populate from field when another form field is filled out

    Has anyone used javascript/ajax to take data from one form field and put it into another? I'm trying to create a form that when one text input is filled out a second is auto-populated with the first letter of the word that is in the first text input. I'm thinking I can limit the second text input to one character to help get the desired result, but I'm not having luck finding the javascript to get the second text input to auto-populate from the first. Any suggestions?

    Maybe it's just too late for me to do this, but I'm trying to replace a character between 2 string with regex in PHP. Example string: other | text [tag]text|more text|and more[/tag] end | text My goal is to replace | with <br/> between [tag] and [/tag]. From the web GUI, Configuration Tab, Port Configuration sub tab, I am only presented with the option to configure the port as Auto - 1000. I take this to mean, auto negotiate duplex, manually configure the speed to be gige. How do I manually configure the port such that it is manually configured to use full duplex, 1000 mbs?

  • Django rewrites URL as IP address in browser - why?

    I am using django, nginx and apache. When I access my site with a URL (e.g., http://www.foo.com/) what appears in my browser address is the IP address with admin appended (e.g., http://123.45.67.890/admin/). When I access the site by IP, it is redirected as expected by django's urls.py (e.g., http://123.45.67.890/ - http://123.45.67.890/accounts/login/?next=/) I would like to have the name URL act the same way as the IP. That is, if the URL goes to a new view, the host in the browser address should remain the same and not change to the IP address. Where should I be looking to fix this? I'm currently using rsyslog and the c syslog() function to generate syslog messages from within my app. The problem is that I use \t and they get translated into #011 when I view the logs. Ideally I'd like to have the other control chars translated except tab. is something like this possible?

What happened: after clicking continue after clicking "security tab" link, no security tab What do I need to do to access my EFI partition on Windows 8.1?

  • XP, how can I copy permissions from one partition to another, had no permssions and getting access denied trying to fix ?

    For some reason, I'm not sure why, I have no permissions in the security tab/advanced tab for one partition. I'm trying to add them back by copying them manually from another partition. However when I try to replace permissions entries on some files it says access denied, then I have to click continue. I haven't much clue what this is all about, but I'd like to fix this as some folders in my partition aren't accessible in shares from other machines.

    I get this two Exchange 2010 Global Address book related event IDs: Event ID 9331 MSExchangeSA OABGen encountered error 80004005 (internal ID 50101f1) accessing the public folder database while generating the offline address list for address list '/'. -\Default Offline Address List and Event ID 9335 MSExchangeSA OABGen encountered error 80004005 while cleaning the offline address list public folders under /o=xxxxx xxxx/cn=addrlists/cn=oabs/cn=Default Offline Address List. Please make sure the public folder database is mounted and replicas exist of the offline address list folders. No offline address lists have been generated. Please check the event log for more information. -\Default Offline Address List It is Exchange 2010 SP2 sitting on Windows 2008 enterprise edition. Essentially the issue is that the global address book is not being updated on Outlook clients. We are using Outlook 2007 and 2010. So far I have tried running the following command: Update-FileDistributionService -Identity ExchangeServer -Type "OAB" And I tried this solution as well: 1) Make sure the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant is running. It will be set to start automatically by default, but it doesn't. This is a known issue. Start this service manually. When running, you will not get an error when trying to update the GAL. 2) "Apply" any changes made to any address lists before the GAL will update Outlook properly. In Organization Configuration - Mailbox in EMC, view the properties of the Default Global Address Book in the Offline Address Book tab. In the properties window, select the Address Lists tab. This shows which address lists makes up the GAL. 3) Close the properties window and select the Address Lists tab in the Organization Configuration - Mailbox. Right-click each address list used by the Def GAL and click "Apply" (make sure the "Immediately" radio button is checked). 4) Last, go back to the Offline Address Book tab, right-click the GAL and select "Update". After a few send/receives in the Outlook clients, their Glogal Address List should update to show the latest changes. Neither one of those solutions helped. So I am not really sure what to do here. Also, I am aware of changing registry on each local computers, but it would be close to impossible as we have 8 offices in 3 different countries. Any suggestions? EDIT 7.XII.2012 @ 10.35 I forgot to mention that we did rebuild the address book and that didn't help.
