    I have sql statement one; select linkscat.id, linkscat.category from linkscat, contentlinks, links where contentlinks.linksid = links.id and contentlinks.contentid = @contentid and links.linkscatid = linkscat.id order by linkscat.category and sql statement 2 takes a parameter called @linkscat which is 'id' from the statement above; select * from links where linkscatid= @linkscat I'm running into all types of trouble trying to use many sqldatareaders, nested repeaters etc, but it would be great if all the work could be done in the one statement? I have a problem, will explain how to reproduce the problem: 1- login into my page (sesion variables set as $_SESSION['logged'] = true and $_SESSION['id'] = 123 2-then inside the main menu I click logout option, code like this function logout() { session_start(); $_SESSION['id'] = null; $_SESSION['logged'] = null; unset($_SESSION); session_destroy(); require_once('Views/SessionExpiredView.php'); } 3- In the session expired view I display a link the login page, there session is null 4- I click back on the browser and click ok to resend information 5- session becomes again $_SESSION['logged'] = true and $_SESSION['id'] = 123 and I'm loggued again and able to see all the information related to the id 123 This is a security issue and I don't know what is happening!!! any suggestion will be deeply appreciated. Such that the row might be incremented row that is if structure has a field called "id" then the row can be id++ or very next incremented row, but it may also b any other id containing row (NOT VERY NEXT) , (because the ids could be deleted from the table). the point of id I am talking about is It could be 1,2,3,4.... or it could be 1,6,7,8,23.. so on.... Would it improve a SELECT statement's performance if the the columns used in the WHERE section are placed at the begining of the SELECT statement? example: SELECT customer.id, transaction.id, transaction.efective_date, transaction.a, [...] FROM customer, transaction WHERE customer.id = transaction.id; I do know that limiting the list of columns to only the needed ones in a SELECT statement improves performance as opposed to using SELECT * because the current list is smaller.

    I am trying to select the most common 100 names from a table then display the list showing the names and count. I want the user to be able to re-sort the list alphabetically rather than based on count. I thought the following code would do it. It works for the default sort by count but fails on the sort alphabetically. The line "$count = mysql_num_rows($table);" gives an error: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given. I need a query to identify such colliding rows - something that would give me the ID of all rows in the collision.
