• How to include javascript/css once with Struts 1.x

  If this is the wrong approach, please suggest something better, but my current efforts have been trying to find something that exists for a single page load, such that I can cache which javascript/css files have been included so as to only include them once. I thought in a TagSupport subclass I could use (HttpServletRequest)pageContext.getRequest().getParameterMap().put(srcKey,true) but the request is per jsp, not per page load so it was a failure. I could set up a filter in web.xml, but it seems I would have to search the response for duplicates and rewrite the response...pain. I could try to store things in the session, but there are headaches with clearing values... Any help would be appreciated.

• Where do you include FirePHP in Wordpress?

  I'm using require_once() in header.php to include the FirePHP library. In the page.php I'm doing the usual... $firephp = FirePHP::getInstance(true); $firephp->log($categories); Getting these errors.. 'Headers already sent....' and Cannot send log data to FirePHP. You must have Output Buffering enabled via ob_start() or output_buffering ini directive... I figured the using require_once in the template's header.php (above all HTML output) would be safe (pre header output). Guess this is not the case. Anyone have experience with this? (P.S. I tried the WP FirePHP plugin, wasn't working right)

• How to include associative table information and still retain strong typing

  I am using LINQ to SQL to create strongly typed objects in my project. Let's say I have an object that is represented by a database table. This object has a "Current State" that is kept in an associative table. I would like to make a single db call where I pull back the two tables joined but am unsure how I should be populating that information into some sort of object to preserve strong typing within my model so that the view using the information can just consume the information from the objects. I looked into creating a view model for this but it doesn't seem to quite fit. Am I thinking about this in the wrong way? What information can I include to help clarify my problem? Other details that may or may not be important: It's an MVC project....

  I need to include multiple images in a canvas. I want to load them dynamically via a for-loop. I tried a lot but in the best case only the last image is displayed. I check this tread but I still get only the last image.   From my readings, when you execute a command as follows: java -jar foo.jar Then the main classpath is ignored and the classpath is taken from the manifest file. Further, the classpath declared on the command line is also ignored. So in: java -classpath /usr/local/jar/foobar.jar -jar foo.jar /usr/local/jar/foobar.jar is ignored. Lastly, I have read that the manifest file can only only contain relative paths, within the jar file. So, how do you include absolute paths to external jars, that are present on the system, but not in the jar file being executed?

  I'm new to codeigniter, and I'm trying to integrate amazon's FPS into my page. There are a bunch of libraries and models that go with Amazon FPS, which I would need included to make the appropriate calls. How do I include them in CodeIgniter? I tried placing the entire Amazon folder inside the system/libraries directory, and then tried including libraries with $this-load-library( 'Amazon/FPS/Client' ); However, I run into problems with the relative path there, because Client.php contains the statement require_once ('Amazon/FPS/Interface.php'); ... which is in the same folder. There has to be a better way to do all this - can anyone please help? Thanks!!

  Is there a way for me to include a simple array of strings, or List<string> on my custom subclass of ConfigurationSection? (Or an array or generic list of simple data objects, for that matter?) I'm becoming familiar with the new (and VERY verbose) ConfigurationSection, ConfigurationElement, and ConfigurationElementCollection classes, but I'm by no means an expert yet. It seems like ConfigurationSection should handle simple collections/lists on its own, without me having to create a custom ConfigurationElementCollection subclass for each and every one. But I haven't found any reference to this ability online.

  Hi, I am trying to include jpeg files in latex \includegraphics[width=57.6mm, height=43.2mm]{../../results2/html/zerooneloss_stumps.jpg} With specified the width and height and compiled with pdflatex, however, it produces the error: ! LaTeX Error: Cannot determine size of graphic in ../../results2/html/zerooneloss_stumps.jpg (no BoundingBox). The true size of the image is 576x432 in pixels. Have I specified the size correctly in the latex file? Anyway to use the default setting without need to specify the width and height? If I don't specify the them in the latex file, \includegraphics[]{../../results2/html/zerooneloss_stumps.jpg} I still get the same no BoundingBox error. Thanks and regards!

  I am designing a recipe database that needs to be very flexible as it is going to be communicating directly with our back-of-house inventory system. This is what I have so far in regards to the tables: Recipe: this table will contain the recipe date: the name, steps needed to cook, etc. Ingredients/Inventory: this is our back of house inventory, so this will have the information about each product that will be used in our recipes. Recipe Line Item: This is the tricky table, I want to be able link to the ingredients here as well as the quantity needed for the recipe, but I also need to be able to directly include recipes from the recipe table (such as marinara sauce that we make in-house), and that is why I am having trouble figuring out the best way to design this table. Basically, the recipe line item table needs to be able to link to either the ingredients table or the recipe table depending on which line item is needed and I want to know what would be the most effective way to handle that.   I'm using Code::Blocks to write my program and when I include <string> (or <iostream>) the size of my exe grows. My program is very simple and I need to keep it small <20kb. I'm pretty sure this is happening because of the C++ Standards Committee swapped the old .h versions for many new libraries without the .h. But how would I keep it from adding the ~43kb? Are there settings for Code::Blocks so that it wont add the extra kb or is there another native lib I can use?

  I have a note class that belongs to a user (ie a user can create many notes). clip from my notes controller class NotesController < ApplicationController before_filter :authenticate_user! respond_to :html, :xml, :json # GET /notes # GET /notes.xml def index @notes = Note.includes(:user).order("created_at DESC") respond_with @notes end When I ask for the index in json results for example /notes.json, it returns the notes but only returns user_id for the user object. I would like it to also include user.username (and would be curious how to have the whole user object embedded). Bonus question: I could not find a way to make the column show as author_id and have it relate back to user. If this is easy to do, how do you do it?

How do I accomplish this in my User model. I'm aware that I can do this in another model: class Foo < ActiveRecord has_many :users, :include => [:college, :class_level] end But I want to do this in my User model, so Foo.users will either be eager loaded OR be joined already. Is there a way to create an initialize this in the User model?

  Hi, I'm new to Java (C++ guy myself) and am trying to compile a simple program (testing different random number algorithms) in Java. I have an interface that I want to use to implement another class with, both of these items are in the same package. So I have two files right now in my "Random" package directory--"RandomInterface.java" and "RandomTest1.java" (which implements RandomInterface). I can use javac to compile RandomInterface.java just fine, but I get the following error when I then try to compile RandomTest1: RandomNew.java:3: cannot find symbol symbol: class RandomClass public class RandomNew implements RandomClass ^ 1 error I declare both files to be part of the same package (Random) as the first line of each file. What do I need to do to include the RandomInterface class into the compile command for RandomTest1? Thanks!

To do this I'm simply looking for corrections which don't exist i.e. whose id = nil. But it is failing and i can't figure out why Sentence.find :all, :include => :correction, :conditions => {:correction => {:id => nil}} Perhaps its the syntax or maybe just the overall approach. • Not able to include ntifs.h in win32 project

  I tried to use the function called NTCreateFile. When I compiled it gave me an error saying "_NTCreateFile identifier not found". I inlcuded the header winternl.h. So next I tried to use ZwCreatFile, as per MSDN I included ntifs.h, but I am not able to include that header. It says "not able to open/find the directory". I am using V@2008. What is the problem? Am I missing anything?

  Hello, Form is 'get' to a API which operates off of querystring. One of the parameters is a PackageID which indicates a vacation package. In order for the packageID to appear I also need to append '#packages' to the end of the get request. Since not all form 'get' have a package I need this to be dynamic. I've tried adding a hidden field with '#packages' as the value - however the '#' is automatically encoded and therefore not registered when the server grabs the URL. What would be the best way for me to dynamically include '#packages' as it appears in the querystring via javascript? Thanks!

  Let us say I have a model Post which belongs to a User. To convert to json, I do something like this @reply.to_json(:include => {:user => {:only => [:email, :id]}, :only => [:title, :id]) However, I want to set some defaults for this so I don't have to specify :only everytime. I am trying to override as_json to accomplish this. When I add as_json in User model, it is called when I do @user.to_json but when user is included in @reply.to_json, my overriden as_json for User is ignored. How do I make this work? Thanks
