  • Webserver parsing chrome input from post request

    - by ravenspoint
    I am developing a small embedded web server. I want to add parsing of post requests, but I am having a problem with input password fields from Chrome. Firefox and IE work perfectly. The HTML: <form action=start.webem method=post> <input value="START" type=submit /><!--#webem start --> <p>Password: <input TYPE=PASSWORD name=yourname AUTOCOMPLETE=OFF /><br> </form> From Firefox I get POST /stop.webem HTTP/1.1 Host: 127.0.0.1:8080 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100315 Firefox/3.5.9 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 300 Connection: keep-alive Referer: http://127.0.0.1:8080/ Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 13 yourname=test However from Chrome, about 90% of the time, the yourname=test is missing POST /start.webem HTTP/1.1 Host: 127.0.0.1:8080 Connection: keep-alive User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1045 Safari/532.5 Referer: http://127.0.0.1:8080/ Content-Length: 13 Cache-Control: max-age=0 Origin: http://127.0.0.1:8080 Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8 Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3 Though, occasionally it does work!!! POST /start.webem HTTP/1.1 Host: 127.0.0.1:8080 Connection: keep-alive User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1045 Safari/532.5 Referer: http://127.0.0.1:8080/start.webem Content-Length: 13 Cache-Control: max-age=0 Origin: http://127.0.0.1:8080 Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8 Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3 yourname=test I cannot find what causes it to work sometimes.

  • assembly language programming (prime number)

    - by chris
Prompt the user for a positive three digit number, then read it. Let's call it N. Divide into N all integer values from 2 to (N/2)+1 and test to see if the division was even, in which case N is instantly shown to be non-prime. Output a message printing N and saying that it is not prime. If none of those integer values divide evenly (remainder never is zero), then N is shown to be prime. Output a message printing N and saying that it is prime. Ask the user if he or she wants to test another number; if the user types "n" or "N", quit. If "y" or "Y", jump back and repeat. Comments in your code are essential. Hi. I am kinda in rush to do this.. please help me doing it. I'll be much appreciated. thank you

  • Why isn't there a python compiler to native machine code?

    - by user2986898
As I understand, the cause of the speed difference between compiled languages and python is, that the first compiles code all way to the native machine's code, whereas python compiles to python bytecode, to be interpreted by the PVM. I see that this way python codes can be used on multiple operation system (at least in most cases), however I do not understand, why is not there an additional (and optional) compiler for python, which compiles the same way as traditional compilers. This would leave to the programmer to chose, which is more important to them; multiplatform executability or performance on native machine. In general; why are not there any languages which could be behave both as compiled and interpreted?

On the other hand, i'm not getting an Exception when calling the command... new CommandFinder().findCommand(CoreMatchers.equalTo(COMMANDNAME_SAVE)).get(0).click(); Has anyone any insperation for me, where i made a mistake?

  • Difficulty thinking of properties for FsCheck

    - by Benjol
I've managed to get xUnit working on my little sample assembly. Now I want to see if I can grok FsCheck too. My problem is that I'm stumped when it comes to defining test properties for my functions. Maybe I've just not got a good sample set of functions, but what would be good test properties for these functions, for example? //transforms [1;2;3;4] into [(1,2);(3,4)] pairs : 'a list -> ('a * 'a) list //' //splits list into list of lists when predicate returns // true for adjacent elements splitOn : ('a -> 'a -> bool) -> 'a list -> 'a list list //returns true if snd is bigger sndBigger : ('a * 'a) -> bool (requires comparison)

  • moqing static method call to c# library class

    - by Joe
This seems like an easy enough issue but I can't seem to find the keywords to effect my searches. I'm trying to unit test by mocking out all objects within this method call. I am able to do so to all of my own creations except for this one: public void MyFunc(MyVarClass myVar) { Image picture; ... picture = Image.FromStream(new MemoryStream(myVar.ImageStream)); ... } FromStream is a static call from the Image class (part of c#). So how can I refactor my code to mock this out because I really don't want to provide a image stream to the unit test.

  • Why are my RSpec specs running twice?

    - by James A. Rosen
I have the following RSpec (1.3.0) task defined in my Rakefile: require 'spec/rake/spectask' Spec::Rake::SpecTask.new(:spec) do |spec| spec.libs << 'lib' << 'spec' spec.spec_files = FileList['spec/**/*_spec.rb'] end I have the following in spec/spec_helper.rb: require 'rubygems' require 'spec' require 'spec/autorun' require 'rack/test' require 'webmock/rspec' include Rack::Test::Methods include WebMock require 'omniauth/core' I have a single spec declared in spec/foo/foo_spec.rb: require File.dirname(__FILE__) + '/../spec_helper' describe Foo do describe '#bar' do it 'be bar-like' do Foo.new.bar.should == 'bar' end end end When I run rake spec, the single example runs twice. I can check it by making the example fail, giving me two red "F"s. One thing I thought was that adding spec to the SpecTask's libs was causing them to be double-defined, but removing that doesn't seem to have any effect.

  • How to avoid mediocre CV.

    - by QriousCat
Though in every project we (testers) face different set challenges, when it comes to CV, more or less we have same responsibilities. For example responsibilities like understanding requirements, preparing and executing test cases, creating defects, liaising with dev, BA teams will be repeated for every project we involve. If we keep writing same responsibilities for every role, CV becomes mediocre and a yarn. In fact most of the testing resumes I have come across are like that. How do I avoid repetition of responsibilities in my resume and make it more interesting? If this is not the correct forum for this question let me know. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  • How do I get the XAML compiler to use textual content property on custom classes?

    - by Duncan
Given a simple C# class definition like: [System.Windows.Markup.ContentProperty("PropertyOne")] public class SimpleBase { public string PropertyOne { get; set; } public string PropertyTwo { get; set; } } why is it not possible to omit the sys:string tags around the word Test in the xaml below. <custom:SimpleBase x:Class="TestType" xmlns:custom="clr-namespace:ConsoleApplication1;assembly=" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:sys="clr-namespace:System;assembly=mscorlib"> <sys:String>Test</sys:String> </custom:SimpleBase> Somehow the compiler correctly converts text to string for the type String, why doesn't it work for my custom type? The context can be found on my blog: http://www.deconflations.com/?tag=xaml

  • Can I release complementary Windows 8 and WP8 apps on their respective stores?

    - by Clay Shannon
I am creating a pair of apps, one to run preferably on tablets, but also laptops and PCs, and the other for WP8. These apps are complementary - having one is of no use without the other. I know there is a Windows Store, and a Windows Phone store, so one would be released on one, and one on the other. My question is: as these apps are useless by themselves (although in most cases it won't be the same people running both apps), will there be a problem with offering these useless-when-used-alone apps? IOW: Person A will use the Windows 8 app to interact with some people that have the WP8 app installed; those with the WP8 app will interact with a person or people who have the Windows 8 app installed. What I'm worried about is if these apps go through a certification process where they must be useful "standalone" - is that the case?

  • Can I set a property on an object that is only declared on the instance type, when I don't know the

    - by WilberBeast
Let me explain. I have a List into which I am adding various ASP.NET controls. I then wish to loop through the list and set a CssClass, however not every Control supports the property CssClass. What I would like to do is test if the underlying instance type supports the CssClass property and set it, but I'm not sure how to do the conversion prior to setting the property since I don't know the type of each Control object. I know that I can use typeof or x.GetType(), but I'm not sure how to use these to convert the controls back to the instance type in order to test for and then set the property. Actually I seem to have solved this, so I thought that I would post the code here for others. foreach (Control c in controlList) { PropertyInfo pi = c.GetType().GetProperty("CssClass"); if (pi != null) pi.SetValue(c, "desired_css_class", null); } I hope that this helps someone else as I has taken me hours to research these 2 lines of code. Cheers Steve

  • JUnit - stop it from exiting on finish?

    - by waitinforatrain
Hi guys, Quick JUnit question. I'm running some unit tests that involve starting up the GUI and doing a load of stuff. I would like to see the results after the test to confirm it visually. However, it gets to the end of the code and exits, as it should. If I want to override this, I put a breakpoint on the last line of the test. This is pretty awkward though. Is there some option to stop it from exiting?

  • Why use an OO approach instead of a giant "switch" statement?

    - by James P. Wright
I am working in a .Net, C# shop and I have a coworker that keeps insisting that we should use giant Switch statements in our code with lots of "Cases" rather than more object oriented approaches. His argument consistently goes back to the fact that a Switch statement compiles to a "cpu jump table" and is therefore the fastest option (even though in other things our team is told that we don't care about speed). I honestly don't have an argument against this...because I don't know what the heck he's talking about. Is he right? Is he just talking out his ass? Just trying to learn here.

  • Can I configure NUnit so that Debug.Fail doesn't show a message box when I run my tests?

    - by panamack
I have this property: public SubjectStatus Status { get { return status; } set { if (Enum.IsDefined(typeof(SubjectStatus), value)) { status = value; } else { Debug.Fail("Error setting Subject.Status", "There is no SubjectStatus enum constant defined for that value."); return; } } } and this unit test [Test] public void StatusProperty_StatusChangedToValueWithoutEnumDefinition_StatusUnchanged() { Subject subject = new TestSubjectImp("1"); // assigned by casting from an int to a defined value subject.Status = (SubjectStatus)2; Assert.AreEqual(SubjectStatus.Completed, subject.Status); // assigned by casting from an int to an undefined value subject.Status = (SubjectStatus)100; // no change to previous value Assert.AreEqual(SubjectStatus.Completed, subject.Status); } Is there a way I can prevent Debug.Fail displaying a message box when I run my tests, but allow it to show me one when I debug my application?

  • Is it bad practice to pass instances through several layers?

    - by Puckl
In my program design, I often come to the point where I have to pass object instances through several classes. For example, if I have a controller that loads an audio file, and then passes it to a player, and the player passes it to the playerRunnable, which passes it again somewhere else etc. It looks kind of bad, but I don´t know how to avoid it. Or is it OK to do this? EDIT: Maybe the player example is not the best because I could load the file later, but in other cases that does not work.

  • Which method should I use ?

    - by Ivan
I want to do this exercise but I don't know exactly which method should I use for an exercise like this and what data will I use to test the algorithm. The driving distance between Perth and Adelaide is 1996 miles. On the average, the fuel consumption of a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder car is 8 litres per 100 kilometres. The fuel tank capacity of such a car is 60 litres. Design and implement a JAVA program that prompts for the fuel consumption and fuel tank capacity of the aforementioned car. The program then displays the minimum number of times the car’s fuel tank has to be filled up to drive from Perth to Adelaide. Note that 62 miles is equal to 100 kilometres. What data will you use to test that your algorithm works correctly?

  • Saving Blob data from SQLite database to a file

    - by Felipe
Hello, I'm trying to save blob data from a SQLite database (Safari cache: Cache.db) to a file, but for some reason sqlite won't read the whole blob. I eventually would like to do this in ruby, but for now something that works directly in sqlite command prompt is fine. Also, I've read all of the entries that talk about this here on stackoverflow, but most of them only discuss the performance of saving images in blobs and the one entry that does show to save blobs to file is in C# which does not help me. Here is what I've tried: sqlite select * from cfurl_cache_response limit 1; 3501|0|945281827|0|http://www.gospelz.com/components/com_jomcomment/smilies/guest.gif|2010-02-24 16:20:07 sqlite select receiver_data from cfurl_cache_blob_data where entry_ID = 3501; GIF89a( A hexdump of the original (guest.gif) file shows that sqlite stops reading the blob after the first null value: $ hexdump -C guest.gif 00000000 47 49 46 38 39 61 28 00 28 00 f7 00 00 f1 f5 fd |GIF89a(.(.......| sqlite .output test.gif sqlite select receiver_data from cfurl_cache_blob_data where entry_ID = 3501; $ hexdump -C test.gif 00000000 47 49 46 38 39 61 28 0a |GIF89a(.|

  • Dealing with blackhat SEO companies and low quality link building competitors [closed]

    - by Mikko Ohtamaa
I have often faced a case where the competitors of my client use SEO blackhat tactics where they contact a SEO company to do link building for their websites and products. Here is an example of a typical case of a fake blog created only for link building purposes A very low content article http://marshallfab.com/fundus-camera-explained.html in obvious fake blog: no author information, partially machine generated text, all blog posts are solely about link building Following the link you get to the promoted company page http://www.patternless.com/ ... which, unsurprisingly, links the SEO company homepage in the footer text http://www.affordableseofl.com/ ... who are not shy to advertise their Extremely aggressive SEO plan Does Google have any feedback channel where one could submit cases like this, so that Google would punish the link builders? Are there any means to bring these blackhat companies to pushame to damage their reputation?

  • How To Prevent Your Computer From Waking Up Accidentally

    - by Chris Hoffman
If you find your Windows computer waking from sleep for no apparent reason, your computer is either being woken up by a hardware device – such as your mouse — or scheduled task set to wake your computer. In some cases, the cause may not be obvious. For example, if your laptop occasionally wakes up for no apparent reason, it’s possible that the floor is shaking a bit, causing the mouse to vibrate slightly and wake the computer. • Identifying that a variable is a new-style class in Python?

    - by Dave Johansen
I'm using Python 2.x and I'm wondering if there's a way to tell if a variable is a new-style class? I know that if it's an old-style class that I can do the following to find out. import types class oldclass: pass def test(): o = oldclass() if type(o) is types.InstanceType: print 'Is old-style' else: print 'Is NOT old-style' But I haven't been able to find anything that works for new-style classes. I found this question, but the proposed solutions don't seem to work as expected, because simple values as are identified as classes. import inspect def newclass(object): pass def test(): n = newclass() if inspect.isclass(n): print 'Is class' else: print 'Is NOT class' if inspect.isclass(type(n)): print 'Is class' else: print 'Is NOT class' if inspect.isclass(type(1)): print 'Is class' else: print 'Is NOT class' if isinstance(n, object): print 'Is class' else: print 'Is NOT class' if isinstance(1, object): print 'Is class' else: print 'Is NOT class' So is there anyway to do something like this? Or is everything in Python just a class and there's no way to get around that?

  • Executing <script> elements inserted with .innerHTML

    - by phidah
I've got a script that inserts some content into an element using innerHTML. The content could for example be: <script type="text/javascript">alert('test');</script> <strong>test</strong> Problem is that the code inside the <script> tag doesn't get executed. I googled it a bit but there were no apparent solutions. If I inserted the content using jQuery $(element).append(content);the script parts got eval'd before being injected into the DOM. Has anyone got a snippet of code that executes all the <script> elements? The jQuery code was a bit complex so I couldn't really figure out how it was done.
