  • How To Include Transitive Dependencies

    - by Brad Rhoads
    I have 2 gradle projects: an Android app and a RoboSpock test. My build.gradle for the Android app has . . . dependencies { compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: '*.jar') compile ('com.actionbarsherlock:actionbarsherlock:4.4.0@aar') { exclude module: 'support-v4' } } . . . and builds correctly by itself, e.g assembleRelease works. I'm stuck getting the test to work. I gets lots of errors such as: package com.google.zxing does not exist Those seem to indicate that the .jar files aren't being picked up. Here's my build.gradle for the test project: buildscript { repositories { mavenLocal() mavenCentral() } dependencies { classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:0.9.+' classpath 'org.robospock:robospock-plugin:0.4.0' } } repositories { mavenLocal() mavenCentral() } apply plugin: 'groovy' dependencies { compile "org.codehaus.groovy:groovy-all:1.8.6" compile 'org.robospock:robospock:0.4.4' } dependencies { compile fileTree(dir: ':android:libs', include: '*.jar') compile (project(':estanteApp')) { transitive = true } } sourceSets.test.java.srcDirs = ['../android/src/', '../android/build/source/r/debug'] test { testLogging { lifecycle { exceptionFormat "full" } } } project.ext { robospock = ":estanteApp" // project to test } apply plugin: 'robospock' As that shows, I've tried adding transitive = true and including the .jar files explicitly. But no matter what I try, I end up with the package does not exist error.

  • Changing colour of text in a textblock via a trigger

    - by Sike12
    Here is my Xaml <Window.Resources> <sampleData:MainWindow x:Key="DataSource"/> <DataTemplate x:Key="bobReferencer"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Name}" > <TextBlock.Style> <Style TargetType="TextBlock"> <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding HasErrors}" Value="true"> //what goes in here? </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </TextBlock.Style> </TextBlock> </DataTemplate> </Window.Resources> Codebehind (the one xaml references) public class bob { public string Name { get; set; } public bool HasErrors { get; set; } Basically what i want to do is if the HasErrors is true then i want the Name to appear in Red via the trigger. But my xaml is not properly formed. Any suggestions on this? I also looked into this link but didn't help much. How can I change the Foreground color of a TextBlock with a Trigger?

  • Problem with using PHPMailer for SMTP

    - by Frozenfire
    I have used PHPMailer for SMTP and there is problem in sending mail with error "Mailer Error: The following From address failed: [email protected]" My code is as follows: $mail = new PHPMailer(); $mail->IsSMTP(); // send via SMTP $mail->Host = "localhost;"; // SMTP servers $mail->SMTPAuth = true; // turn on SMTP authentication $mail->Username = ""; // SMTP username $mail->Password = ""; // SMTP password $mail->From = $email_address; $mail->FromName = $email_address; $mail->AddAddress($arrStudent[0]["email"]); $mail->WordWrap = 50; // set word wrap $mail->IsHTML(true); // send as HTML $mail->Subject = "Subject"; $theData = str_replace("\n", "<BR>", $stuff); $mail->Body = $theData; // "This is the <b>HTML body</b>"; $mail->AltBody = $stuff; if (!$mail->Send()) { $sent = 0; echo "Mailer Error: " . $mail->ErrorInfo; exit; } i researched everything and when i debug inside class.smtp.php i found error the function "get_lines()" is returning error value "550 Authentication failed" The code was working fine previously, i am wondering how this problem came suddenly.   • Send SOAP via curl

    - by danrichardson
    Hi. This has been bugging me for days, i'm trying to send a SOAP post via curl but i just keep getting a 'couldn't connect to host' error but i really cant see how. I have an asp version which works fine with the same url and data, i think it's just a php/curl thing...? I currently have the following code (the CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS data is a valid soap envelope string) $soap_do = curl_init(); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_URL, "https://xxx.yyy.com:517/zzz.asmx" ); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, 10); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 10); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true ); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, false); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_POST, true ); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, '<soap:Envelope>...</soap:Envelope>'); curl_setopt($soap_do, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array('Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8', 'Content-Length: '.strlen('<soap:Envelope>...</soap:Envelope>') )); if(curl_exec($soap_do) === false) { $err = 'Curl error: ' . curl_error($soap_do); curl_close($soap_do); return $err; } else { curl_close($soap_do); return 'Operation completed without any errors'; } So any ideas why it just errors all the time? The asp version works fine! The code is; Set xmlhttp = server.Createobject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP") xmlhttp.Open "POST","https://xxx.yyy.com:517/zzz.asmx" xmlhttp.setRequestHeader "Content-Type", "text/xml; charset=utf-8" xmlhttp.Send('<soap:Envelope>...</soap:Envelope>')

  • Starting a process synchronously, and "streaming" the output

    - by Benjol
    I'm looking at trying to start a process from F#, wait till it's finished, but also read it's output progressively. Is this the right/best way to do it? (In my case I'm trying to execute git commands, but that is tangential to the question) let gitexecute (logger:string->unit) cmd = let procStartInfo = new ProcessStartInfo(@"C:\Program Files\Git\bin\git.exe", cmd) // Redirect to the Process.StandardOutput StreamReader. procStartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput <- true procStartInfo.UseShellExecute <- false; // Do not create the black window. procStartInfo.CreateNoWindow <- true; // Create a process, assign its ProcessStartInfo and start it let proc = new Process(); proc.StartInfo <- procStartInfo; proc.Start() |> ignore // Get the output into a string while not proc.StandardOutput.EndOfStream do proc.StandardOutput.ReadLine() |> logger What I don't understand is how the proc.Start() can return a boolean and also be asynchronous enough for me to get the output out of the while progressively. Unfortunately, I don't currently have a large enough repository - or slow enough machine, to be able to tell what order things are happening in...

  • How do I add an object to a binary tree based on the value of a member variable?

    - by Max
    How can I get a specific value from an object? I'm trying to get a value of an instance for eg. ListOfPpl newListOfPpl = new ListOfPpl(id, name, age); Object item = newListOfPpl; How can I get a value of name from an Object item?? Even if it is easy or does not interest you can anyone help me?? Edited: I was trying to build a binary tree contains the node of ListOfPpl, and need to sort it in the lexicographic. Here's my code for insertion on the node. Any clue?? public void insert(Object item){ Node current = root; Node follow = null; if(!isEmpty()){ root = new Node(item, null, null); return; }boolean left = false, right = false; while(current != null){ follow = current; left = false; right = false; //I need to compare and sort it if(item.compareTo(current.getFighter()) < 0){ current = current.getLeft(); left = true; }else { current = current.getRight(); right = true; } }if(left) follow.setLeft(new Node(item, null, null)); else follow.setRight(new Node(item, null, null)); }

  • Implementing a Clock Drift random number generator in PHP

    Hi, I wrote the following code: function create_rand($time) { $counter = 0; $stop = microtime(true) + $time; while(microtime(true) < $stop) $counter++; return $counter; } function create_rand_max($time, $a, $b = false) { $rand_a = create_rand($time); $rand_b = create_rand($time); $rand_c = create_rand($time); $max = max($rand_a, $rand_b, $rand_c); $min = min($rand_a, $rand_b, $rand_c); if($max === $min) return create_rand_max($time, $a, $b); $middle = $rand_a + $rand_b + $rand_c - $max - $min; if($b !== false) return min($a, $b) + ($middle - $min) * (max($a, $b) - min($a, $b)) / ($max - $min); return ($middle - $min) * $a / ($max - $min); } $stop = 1000; $sum = 0; for($i = 0; $i < $stop; $i++) { $sum += create_rand_max(0.001, 100, 200); } echo $sum / $stop; The average is usually between 157 to 161, instead of ~150. Any ideas?

  • How to avoid concurrent execution of a time-consuming task without blocking?

    - by Diego V
    I want to efficiently avoid concurrent execution of a time-consuming task in a heavily multi-threaded environment without making threads wait for a lock when another thread is already running the task. Instead, in that scenario, I want them to gracefully fail (i.e. skip its attempt to execute the task) as fast as possible. To illustrate the idea considerer this unsafe (has race condition!) code: private static boolean running = false; public void launchExpensiveTask() { if (running) return; // Do nothing running = true; try { runExpensiveTask(); } finally { running = false; } } I though about using a variation of Double-Checked Locking (consider that running is a primitive 32-bit field, hence atomic, it could work fine even for Java below 5 without the need of volatile). It could look like this: private static boolean running = false; public void launchExpensiveTask() { if (running) return; // Do nothing synchronized (ThisClass.class) { if (running) return; running = true; try { runExpensiveTask(); } finally { running = false; } } } Maybe I should also use a local copy of the field as well (not sure now, please tell me). But then I realized that anyway I will end with an inner synchronization block, that still could hold a thread with the right timing at monitor entrance until the original executor leaves the critical section (I know the odds usually are minimal but in this case we are thinking in several threads competing for this long-running resource). So, could you think in a better approach?

  • select (or click) specific radiobutton using jQuery

    - by Oleg Babanov
    I am trying to make specific radiobutton checked on page load and tried a lot of ways, but no one worked for me. This is a part of orderform on my webstore. <input type="radio" name="sPaymentCarrier" id="pC_2-1" value="1;2;0.00" onclick="countCarrierPrice( this )" /> <label for="pC_2-1">0</label> Actually this radiobutton is the only on radiobutton on page, and it must be checked to let user make order. I tried $(function() { var $radios = $('input:radio[name=sPaymentCarrier]'); if($radios.is(':checked') === false) { $radios.filter('[value=1;2;0.00]').attr('checked', true); } }); and $('input:radio[name="sPaymentCarrier"]').filter('[value="1;2;0.00"]').attr('checked', true); but none of these ways worked. Also I tried a lot of other codes, but when I refreshed page I still saw this button unchecked. I guess maybe I have to set up jquery click on this button instead of select, but actually I cannot make this work. Any help is appreciated!

  • Python class structure ... prep() method?

    - by Adam Nelson
    We have a metaclass, a class, and a child class for an alert system: class AlertMeta(type): """ Metaclass for all alerts Reads attrs and organizes AlertMessageType data """ def __new__(cls, base, name, attrs): new_class = super(AlertMeta, cls).__new__(cls, base, name, attrs) # do stuff to new_class return new_class class BaseAlert(object): """ BaseAlert objects should be instantiated in order to create new AlertItems. Alert objects have classmethods for dequeue (to batch AlertItems) and register (for associated a user to an AlertType and AlertMessageType) If the __init__ function recieves 'dequeue=True' as a kwarg, then all other arguments will be ignored and the Alert will check for messages to send """ __metaclass__ = AlertMeta def __init__(self, **kwargs): dequeue = kwargs.pop('dequeue',None) if kwargs: raise ValueError('Unexpected keyword arguments: %s' % kwargs) if dequeue: self.dequeue() else: # Do Normal init stuff def dequeue(self): """ Pop batched AlertItems """ # Dequeue from a custom queue class CustomAlert(BaseAlert): def __init__(self,**kwargs): # prepare custom init data super(BaseAlert, self).__init__(**kwargs) We would like to be able to make child classes of BaseAlert (CustomAlert) that allow us to run dequeue and to be able to run their own __init__ code. We think there are three ways to do this: Add a prep() method that returns True in the BaseAlert and is called by __init__. Child classes could define their own prep() methods. Make dequeue() a class method - however, alot of what dequeue() does requires non-class methods - so we'd have to make those class methods as well. Create a new class for dealing with the queue. Would this class extend BaseAlert? Is there a standard way of handling this type of situation?

  • WordPress update_post_meta values. Delete when empty or just test for ""?

    - by Scott B
    My function below, will take the values from my custom meta fields (after a post has been edited, and save or publish has been clicked) and update or insert the posted meta values. However, if the user leaves this field blank, I believe I want to delete the meta altogether (so I can test for its presence and display accordingly vs just checking for ""). For example, one of my meta options gives the user the ability to add a Custom title to their post, which when present, will populate the page's tag. However, if the field is left empty, I want to default the tag to the_title(), which is simply the Post title used to identify the page/post. Since I'm not deleting the meta on save, its always present after the first time a user enters something in there, get_post_meta($post-ID,'MyCustomTitle', true) is always true. Further, they cannot blank it out by clearing the title field and hitting publish. What am I missing in the save in order to clear the value to "" when the user clears the field? if ($_POST['MyCustomTitle']) { update_custom_meta($postID, $_POST['MyCustomTitle'], 'MyCustomTitle'); } function update_custom_meta($postID, $newvalue, $field_name) { // To create new meta if(!get_post_meta($postID, $field_name)){ add_post_meta($postID, $field_name, $newvalue); }else{ // or to update existing meta update_post_meta($postID, $field_name, $newvalue); } }

  • How do I setup model associations in an RSpec test?

    - by Eric M.
    I've pastied the specs I've written for the posts/show.html.erb view in an application I'm writing as a means to learn RSpec. I am still learning about mocks and stubbing. This question is specific to the "should list all related comments" spec. What I want is to test that the show view displays a post's comments. But what I'm not sure about is how to setup this test and then have the test iterate through with should contain('xyz') statements. Any hints? Other suggestions are also appreciated! Thanks. ---Edit Some more information. I have a named_scope applied to comments in my view (I know, I did this a bit backwards in this case), so @post.comments.approved_is(true). The code pastied responds with the error "undefined method `approved_is' for #", which makes sense since I told it stub comments and return a comment. I'm still not sure, however, how to chain the stubs so that @post.comments.approved_is(true) will return an array of comments.

  • How can I change jtable height at runtime

    - by wniroshan
    I hava a JFrame with multiple JPanels of similar width aligned one below other. I use one of these JPanels to display a JTable which is the last JPanel of the lot. This JPanel has a JScrollpane as a child component. This is where I try to add my table dynamically. Initial height of this JScrollpane is set to 40. I designed above template using Netbeans 6.8 Now I'm trying to add the table to the JPanel. When a button is pressed below code snippet is called. The class which includes this code extends javax.swing.JFrame class. I am expecting below code would adjust table height according to the row count and display the table. SearchTable = new JTable(RowData, DisplayNames) { @Override public boolean isCellEditable(int rowIndex, int vColIndex) { return false; } }; // if row count is less than 10 then display all the rows without a scroll bar if (SearchTable.getRowCount() < 10) { pnl_tblpanel.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(625, SearchTable.getRowHeight() * (SearchTable.getRowCount() + 4))); scr_tblholder.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(625, SearchTable.getRowHeight() * (SearchTable.getRowCount() + 4))); } else {// if row count is more than 10 display first 10 rows and add a scroll bar pnl_tblpanel.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(625, SearchTable.getRowHeight() * (10 + 2))); scr_tblholder.setAutoscrolls(true); } //pnl_tblpanel.add(scr_tblholder); scr_tblholder.setViewportView(SearchTable); //pnl_tblpanel.repaint(); pnl_tblpanel.validate(); this.validate(); //this.repaint(); pnl_tblpanel.setVisible(true); this.pack(); The table displays, but the table height is not changed according to the row count. It stays its default value. I have been trying many combinations of validate and repaint but nothing worked. (More in desperation) Can anyone shed some light on this Thank you

  • Controlling race condition at startup.

    - by Will Hartung
    I have some code that I want to have some one time initialisation performed. But this code doesn't have a definite lifecycle, so my logic can be potentially invoked by multiple threads before my initialisation is done. So, I want to basically ensure that my logic code "waits" until initialisation is done. This is my first cut. public class MyClass { private static final AtomicBoolean initialised = new AtomicBoolean(false); public void initialise() { synchronized(initialised) { initStuff(); initialised.getAndSet(true); initialised.notifyAll(); } } public void doStuff() { synchronized(initialised) { if (!initialised.get()) { try { initialised.wait(); } catch (InterruptedException ex) { throw new RuntimeException("Uh oh!", ex); } } } doOtherStuff(); } } I basically want to make sure this is going to do what I think it's going to do -- block doStuff until the initialised is true, and that I'm not missing a race condition where doStuff might get stuck on a Object.wait() that will never arrive. Edit: I have no control over the threads. And I want to be able to control when all of the initialisation is done, which is why doStuff() can't call initialise(). I used an AtomicBoolean as it was a combination of a value holder, and an object I could synchronize. I could have also simply had a "public static final Object lock = new Object();" and a simple boolean flag. AtomicBoolean conveniently gave me both. A Boolean can not be modified. The CountDownLatch is exactly what I was looking for. I also considered using a Sempahore with 0 permits. But the CountDownLatch is perfect for just this task.

  • eclipse stuck at running program

    - by user1434388
    This is the picture after I end task the eclipse. My Android Program has no errors, and before this problem it was all fine. It happened when I added some code into my program. It gets stuck after I click the run button. This also happens when I run my handphone for debugging the program. Other programs are all working fine, only one is stuck. When I try to remove and import it again seem there is a classes.dex file which I cannot delete, I have to restart my computer for it to allow to delete and I have to force the program to close. I have searched at this website and they said keep open the emulator but it doesn't work for me. below is the connecting coding that i added. //check internet connection private boolean chkConnectionStatus(){ ConnectivityManager connMgr = (ConnectivityManager) this.getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); final android.net.NetworkInfo wifi = connMgr.getNetworkInfo(ConnectivityManager.TYPE_WIFI); final android.net.NetworkInfo mobile = connMgr.getNetworkInfo(ConnectivityManager.TYPE_MOBILE); if( wifi.isAvailable() ){ return true; } else if( mobile.isAvailable() ){ return true; } else { Toast.makeText(this, "Check your internet" , Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); return false; } }

  • (Android) Why won't invalidate() update my buttons immediately?

Please someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. private void showPattern() { if (correct == true) { for (int k = 0; k < temp_basket.length; k++) { if (temp_basket[k] == 0) { red.setPressed(true); red.invalidate(); final Handler handler = new Handler(); Timer t = new Timer(); t.schedule(new TimerTask() { public void run() { handler.post(new Runnable() { public void run() { red.setPressed(false); red.invalidate(); } }); } }, 1000); There are 3 more or these blocks after this one that are blue, green, and yellow.

  • .NET: Calling GetInterface method of Assembly obj with a generic interface argument

    - by Khnle
    I have the following interface: public interface PluginInterface<T> where T : MyData { List<T> GetTableData(); } In a separate assembly, I have a class that implements this interface. In fact, all classes that implement this interface are in separate assemblies. The reason is to architect my app as a plugin host, where plugin can be done in the future as long as they implement the above interface and the assembly DLLs are copied to the appropriate folder. My app discovers the plugins by first loading the assembly and performs the following: List<PluginInterface<MyData>> Plugins = new List<PluginInterface<MyData>>(); string FileName = ...;//name of the DLL file that contains classes that implement the interface Assembly Asm = Assembly.LoadFile(Filename); foreach (Type AsmType in Asm.GetTypes()) { //Type type = AsmType.GetInterface("PluginInterface", true); // Type type = AsmType.GetInterface("PluginInterface<T>", true); if (type != null) { PluginInterface<MyData> Plugin = (PluginInterface<MyData>)Activator.CreateInstance(AsmType); Plugins.Add(Plugin); } } The trouble is because neither line where I am getting the type as by doing Type type = ... seems to work, as both seems to be null. I have the feeling that the generic somehow contributes to the trouble. Do you know why?

  • Method returns an IDisposable - Should I dispose of the result, even if it's not assigned to anythin

    - by mjd79
    This seems like a fairly straightforward question, but I couldn't find this particular use-case after some searching around. Suppose I have a simple method that, say, determines if a file is opened by some process. I can do this (not 100% correctly, but fairly well) with this: public bool IsOpen(string fileName) { try { File.Open(fileName, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.None); } catch { // if an exception is thrown, the file must be opened by some other process return true; } } (obviously this isn't the best or even correct way to determine this - File.Open throws a number of different exceptions, all with different meanings, but it works for this example) Now the File.Open call returns a FileStream, and FileStream implements IDisposable. Normally we'd want to wrap the usage of any FileStream instantiations in a using block to make sure they're disposed of properly. But what happens in the case where we don't actually assign the return value to anything? Is it still necessary to dispose of the FileStream, like so: try { using (File.Open(fileName, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.None)); { /* nop */ } } catch { return true; } Should I create a FileStream instance and dispose of that? try { using (FileStream fs = File.Open(fileName, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.None)); } ... Or are these totally unnecessary? Can we simply call File.Open and not assign it to anything (first code example), and let the GC dispose of it right away?

  • Looping through a method without for/foreach/while

    - by RichK
    Is there a way of calling a method/lines of code multiple times not using a for/foreach/while loop? For example, if I were to use to for loop: int numberOfIterations = 6; for(int i = 0; i < numberOfIterations; i++) { DoSomething(); SomeProperty = true; } The lines of code I'm calling don't use 'i' and in my opinion the whole loop declaration hides what I'm trying to do. This is the same for a foreach. I was wondering if there's a looping statement I can use that looks something like: do(6) { DoSomething(); SomeProperty = true; } It's really clear that I just want to execute that code 6 times and there's no noise involving index instantiating and adding 1 to some arbitrary variable. As a learning exercise I have written a static class and method: Do.Multiple(int iterations, Action action) Which works but scores very highly on the pretentious scale and I'm sure my peers wouldn't approve. I'm probably just being picky and a for loop is certainly the most recognisable, but as a learning point I was just wondering if there (cleaner) alternatives. Thanks. (I've had a look at this thread, but it's not quite the same) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2248985/using-ienumerable-without-foreach-loop

  • How can i initialise a server on startup?

    - by djerry
    Hey all, I need to make some connections on startup of a server. I'm using the wcf technology for this client-server application. The problem is that the constructor of the server isn't called at any time, so for the moment, i initialize the connections when the first client makes a connection. But this generates problems in a further part. This is my server setup: private static ServiceHost _svc; static void Main(string[] args) { NetTcpBinding binding = new NetTcpBinding(SecurityMode.Message); Uri address = new Uri("net.tcp://localhost:8000"); _svc = new ServiceHost(typeof(MonitoringSystemService), address); publishMetaData(_svc, "http://localhost:8001"); _svc.AddServiceEndpoint(typeof(IMonitoringSystemService), binding, "Monitoring Server"); _svc.Open(); Console.WriteLine("Listener service gestart op net.tcp://localhost:8000/Monitoring"); Console.ReadLine(); } private static void publishMetaData(ServiceHost svc, string sEndpointAddress) { ServiceMetadataBehavior smb = svc.Description.Behaviors.Find<ServiceMetadataBehavior>(); if (smb != null) { smb.HttpGetEnabled = true; smb.HttpGetUrl = new Uri(sEndpointAddress); } else { smb = new ServiceMetadataBehavior(); smb.HttpGetEnabled = true; smb.HttpGetUrl = new Uri(sEndpointAddress); svc.Description.Behaviors.Add(smb); } } How can i start the server without waiting for a client to logon so i can initialize it. Thanks in advance.

    - by user1869914
    protected void btningAccept_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { if(!(txtLOVCode.Text==" "||txtLOVvalue.Text==" ")) { rowid++; // DFDLOVlst.Visible=true; DataTable dt = createTemptable(); dt = (DataTable)Session["dfdtemptable"]; DataRow dr = dt.NewRow(); dr["prociLOV_Id"] = rowid; dr["prociLOV_Value"] = txtLOVvalue.Text; dr["prociLOV_Code"] = txtLOVCode.Text; Boolean isalreadyinLOVlst = false; foreach (DataRow chkrow in dt.Rows) { if (String.Equals(dr["prociLOV_Value"].ToString().Trim(), chkrow["prociLOV_Value"].ToString().Trim(),StringComparison.CurrentCultureIgnoreCase) && String.Equals(dr["prociLOV_Code"].ToString().Trim(), chkrow["prociLOV_Code"].ToString().Trim(), StringComparison.CurrentCultureIgnoreCase)) { isalreadyinLOVlst = true; break; } } if (isalreadyinLOVlst) { this.lblMessage.Text = "LOV value: " + dr["prociLOV_Value"].ToString() + ": " + dr["prociLOV_Code"].ToString() + " already exits"; } else { this.lblMessage.Text = " "; dt.Rows.Add(dr); DataTable addedLOV = createTemptable(); addedLOV = (DataTable)Session["addedLOV"]; addedLOV.ImportRow(dr); ; Session["addedLOV"] = addedLOV; } DFDLOVlst.DataSource = dt; DFDLOVlst.DataBind(); // dt.AcceptChanges(); Session["dfdtemptable"] = dt; txtLOVCode.Text = ""; txtLOVvalue.Text = ""; MDIngrdientsCode.Hide(); this.txtLOVvalue.ReadOnly = false; this.txtLOVCode.ReadOnly = false; } else this.lblMessage.Text="NO LOV VALUES ENTERED"; } Here the session varible Session["dfdtemptable"] and Session["addedLOV"] both gets updated twice and their row count becomes 2 for each session varible..But the row count sholud be 1 for each session varible.But the Session variable gets updated on the other Session varibles updation.. The Session["dfdtemptable"] gets updated when Session["addedLOV"] is assigned or updated..Can't figure out the problem..?

  • MonoTouch Load image in background

    - by user1058951
    I am having a problem trying to load an image and display it using System.Threading.Task My Code is as follows Task DownloadTask { get; set; } public string Instrument { get; set; } public PriceChartViewController(string Instrument) { this.Instrument = Instrument; DownloadTask = Task.Factory.StartNew(() => { }); } private void LoadChart(ChartType chartType) { NSData data = new NSData(); DownloadTask = DownloadTask.ContinueWith(prevTask => { try { UIApplication.SharedApplication.NetworkActivityIndicatorVisible = true; NSUrl nsUrl = new NSUrl(chartType.Uri(Instrument)); data = NSData.FromUrl(nsUrl); } finally { UIApplication.SharedApplication.NetworkActivityIndicatorVisible = false; } }); DownloadTask = DownloadTask.ContinueWith(t => { UIImage image = new UIImage(data); chartImageView = new UIImageView(image); chartImageView.ContentScaleFactor = 2f; View.AddSubview(chartImageView); this.Title = chartType.Title; }, CancellationToken.None, TaskContinuationOptions.OnlyOnRanToCompletion, TaskScheduler.FromCurrentSynchronizationContext()); } The second Continue with does not seem to be being called? Initially my code looked like the following without the background processing and it worked perfectly. private void oldLoadChart(ChartType chartType) { UIApplication.SharedApplication.NetworkActivityIndicatorVisible = true; NSUrl nsUrl = new NSUrl(chartType.Uri(Instrument)); NSData data = NSData.FromUrl(nsUrl); UIImage image = new UIImage(data); chartImageView = new UIImageView(image); chartImageView.ContentScaleFactor = 2f; View.AddSubview(chartImageView); this.Title = chartType.Title; UIApplication.SharedApplication.NetworkActivityIndicatorVisible = false; } Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

  • Why does the VS2005 debugger not report "base." values properly? (was "Why is this if statement fail

    - by Rawling
    I'm working on an existing class that is two steps derived from System.Windows.Forms.Combo box. The class overrides the Text property thus: public override string Text { get { return this.AccessibilityObject.Value; } set { if (base.Text != value) { base.Text = value; } } } The reason given for that "get" is this MS bug: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814346 However, I'm more interested in the fact that the "if" doesn't work. There are times where "base.Text != value" is true and yet pressing F10 steps straight to the closing } of the "set" and the Text property is not changed. I've seen this both by just checking values in the debugger, and putting a conditional breakpoint on that only breaks when the "if" statement's predicate is true. How on earth can "if" go wrong? The class between this and ComboBox doesn't touch the Text property. The bug above shouldn't really be affecting anything - it says it's fixed in VS2005. Is the debugger showing different values than the program itself sees? Update I think I've found what is happening here. The debugger is reporting value incorrectly (including evaluating conditional breakpoints incorrectly). To see this, try the following pair of classes: class MyBase { virtual public string Text { get { return "BaseText"; } } } class MyDerived : MyBase { public override string Text { get { string test = base.Text; return "DerivedText"; } } } Put a breakpoint on the last return statement, then run the code and access that property. In my VS2005, hovering over base.Text gives the value "DerivedText", but the variable test has been correctly set to "BaseText". So, new question: why does the debugger not handle base properly, and how can I get it to?
