  As i described in title, i have a local db in sqlite. I want to create ImageButton parametrically. How many times is local database loop executing? I think there are many buttons but here image button is creating on last created image button. I think i should use android:layout_toRightOf with previous created button but i cant find how to place it here. I have tried some ideas but it did not change any thing.   Hello all, Is there something simpler than the following. I am trying to make a GET request to a PHP script and then exit the current script. I think this is a job for CURL but is there something simpler as I don't want to really worry about enabling the CURL php extension? • Testing for a closed socket

  I'm trying to test for a closed socket that has been gracefully closed by the peer without incurring the latency hit of a double send to induce a SIGPIPE. One of the assumptions here is that the socket if closed was gracefully closed by the peer immediately after it's last write / send. Actual errors like a premature close are dealt with else where in the code. If the socket is still open, there will be 0 or more bytes data which I don't actually want to pull out of the socket buffer yet. I was thinking that I could call int ret = recv(sockfd, buf, 1, MSG_DONTWAIT | MSG_PEEK); to determine if the socket is still connected. If it's connected but there's no data in the buffer I'll get a return of -1 with errno == EAGAIN and return the sockfd for reuse. If it's been gracefully closed by the peer I'll get ret == 0 and open a new connection. I've tested this and it seems to work. However, I suspect there is a small window between when I recv the last bit of my data and when the peer FIN arrives in which I could get a false-positive EAGAIN from my test recv. Is this going to bite me, or is there a better way of doing this?

Is it possible at all and how to do it? Or has it has to raise IOException in such cases?

• How can I remove all users in an Active Directory group?

What I'm finding here is that this code does not behave correctly. It removes users, but it doesn't do it after the first run. It does "some". Then I run it again, and again, and again - depending on how many users need to be deleted in a group. I'm not sure why it's functioning this way. Can someone help fix this code or provide an alternative method to delete all users in a group? Thanks!

• Java Socket - how to catch Exception of BufferedReader.readline()

Therefore T2 does the following: T1.running = false; socket.close(); Here is this scenario for which i couldn't find a solution: T1 is active and waiting for some input to read i.e. blocking. context switching T2 is active and sets running to false, closes the socket context switching because T1 was blocking and T2 closed the socket, T1 throws an Exception. What i want is to catch this SocketException. i can't put a try/catch(SocketException) in T1.run(). So how can i catch it in T1's running-method? If it's not possible to catch it in T1's running, then how can i catch it elsewhere? PS: "Another question about the Thread Debugging" Normally when i debug the code step by step, i lose the 'active running line' on a context switch. Let's say i'm in line 20 of T1, context switch happens, let's assume the program continues from the 30.line of T2, but the debugger does not go/show to the 30.line of T2, instead the 'active running line' vanishes. So i lose the control over the code. I use Eclipse for Java and Visual Studio for C#. So what is the best way to track the code while debugging on a context switch ?

• (closed) nodejs responding an image (via pipe and response.end()) leads into strange behaviour

  What the Problem was: I had 2 different writeStreams! If WriteStram#1 is closed, the second should be closed too and then it all should be piped... BUT node is asynchronious so while one has been closed, the other one hasn't. Even the stream.end() was called... well you always should wait for the close event! thx guys for your help! I am at my wit's end. I used this code to pipe an image to my clients: req.pipe(fs.createReadStream(__dirname+'/imgen/cached_images/' + link).pipe(res)) it does work but sometimes the image is not transferred completely. But no error is thrown neither on client side (browser) nor on server side (node.js). My second try was var img = fs.readFileSync(__dirname+'/imgen/cached_images/' + link); res.writeHead(200, { 'Content-Type' : 'image/png' }); res.end(img, 'binary'); but it leads to the same strange behaviour...   I'm running a tomcat servlet on my local machine and an Android emulator with an app that makes a post request to the servlet. • Jquery UI autocomplete event change

  Hi I got a problem with change event. By documntation there should be object ui.item After an item was selected; ui.item refers to the selected item. Always triggered after the close event. But when I try it ui.item is undefined :( I want unset s_town_id when input in autocomplete doesn't match with data from script.   I would like to change a jQuery option based on window width (on load as well as on resize). I've found solutions close to what I need, but I don't understand jQuery or javascript enough to customize them for my needs. • Java servlet's request parameter's name set to entire json object

  I'm sending a json object through ajax to a java servlet. The json object is key-value type with three keys that point to arrays and a key that points to a single string. I build it in javascript like this: var jsonObject = {"arrayOne": arrayOne, "arrayTwo": arrayTwo, "arrayThree": arrThree, "string": stringVar}; I then send it to a java servlet using ajax as follows: httpRequest.open('POST', url, true); httpRequest.setRequestHeader("Content-type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); httpRequest.setRequestHeader("Connection", "close"); var jsonString = jsonObject.toJSONString(); httpRequest.send(jsonString); This will send the string to my servlet, but It isn't showing as I expect it to. The whole json string gets set to the name of one of my request's parameters. So in my servlet if I do request.getParameterNames(); It will return an enumeration with one of the table entries' key's to be the entire object contents. I may be mistaken, but my thought was that it should set each key to a different parameter name. So I should have 4 parameters, arrayOne, arrayTwo, arrayThree, and string. Am I doing something wrong or is my thinking off here? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

  i'm a student and i am bad at programing. I saved the images in my mysql database for each player. I created a program where I can list some soccer players from my database. When i click on a listed player in datagrid, a new window appears with the information about the player. Everything works, but now i want a picture of the selected player to be displayed on the information window from the database. Can anybody help me? My english is not the best (i'm 17) so i hope you can understand what i mean. This is what i tried to do but i don't know how to continue. PS. It's in WPF. • node.js: looping, email each matching row from query but it it emails the same user by # number of matches?

  I have a node.js email server that works fine however I noticed a problem.   Basically, I have multiple URL's stored in a MySQL table. I want to pull those URLs from the table and have cURL connect to all of them. Currently I've been storing the URL's in the local script, but I've added a new page that I can add and remove them from the database, and I'd like the page to reflect it appropriately. It's getting very high numbers for years and months when the date calculated is from 1999-ish. ie, it should be 13-8 and I'm getting 5027-2 so I know it's not correct. I used NUMTOYMINTERVAL, which should be correct, but don't think the sysdate-start_date is working. Data Type for start_date is simply date. I tried ROUND but maybe need some help to get it right. Something is wrong with my calculation and trying to figure out how to get the correct interval there. Not sure if I have provided enough information to everyone but I will let you know if I figure it out before you do. It's a question from Murach's Oracle and SQL/PL book, chapter 17 if anyone else is trying to learn that chapter. Page 559.

• ListView getting deleted onbackpress

  I have a listview in my mainactivity that makes a call to a database to populate it. When an item on the listview is clicked it starts a new activity showing the details of the item that was clicked. When the back button is pressed the listview is not displayed again. What could be the problem? • How (and if) to write a single-consumer queue using the task parallel library?

  I've heard a bunch of podcasts recently about the TPL in .NET 4.0. Most of them describe background activities like downloading images or doing a computation, using tasks so that the work doesn't interfere with a GUI thread. Most of the code I work on has more of a multiple-producer / single-consumer flavor, where work items from multiple sources must be queued and then processed in order. One example would be logging, where log lines from multiple threads are sequentialized into a single queue for eventual writing to a file or database. All the records from any single source must remain in order, and records from the same moment in time should be "close" to each other in the eventual output. So multiple threads or tasks or whatever are all invoking a queuer: lock( _queue ) // or use a lock-free queue! { _queue.enqueue( some_work ); _queueSemaphore.Release(); } And a dedicated worker thread processes the queue: while( _queueSemaphore.WaitOne() ) { lock( _queue ) { some_work = _queue.dequeue(); } deal_with( some_work ); } It's always seemed reasonable to dedicate a worker thread for the consumer side of these tasks. Should I write future programs using some construct from the TPL instead? Which one? Why?

• Built in background-scheduling system in .NET?

  I ask though I doubt there is any such system. Basically I need to schedule tasks to execute at some point in the future (usually no more than a few seconds or possibly minutes from now), and have some way of cancelling that request unless too late. Ie. code that would look like this: var x = Scheduler.Schedule(() => SomethingSomething(), TimeSpan.FromSeconds(5)); ... x.Dispose(); // cancels the request Is there any such system in .NET? Is there anything in TPL that can help me? I need to run such future-actions from various instances in a system here, and would rather avoid each such class instance to have its own thread and deal with this. Also note that I don't want this (or similar, for instance through Tasks): new Thread(new ThreadStart(() => { Thread.Sleep(5000); SomethingSomething(); })).Start(); There will potentially be a few such tasks to execute, they don't need to be executed in any particular order, except for close to their deadline, and it isn't vital that they have anything like a realtime performance concept. I just want to avoid spinning up a separate thread for each such action.

• Best Approach for Checking and Inserting Records

  In one of our existing C programs which purpose is: Open connection to DB for record in all_record: if record contain certain data: if record is NOT in table A: // see #1 insert record information into table A and B // see #2 Close connection to DB select field from table where field=XXX 2 inserts This is typically done every X months to sync everything up or so I'm told. I've also been told that this process takes roughly a couple of days. There is (currently) at most 2.5million records (though not necessarily all 2.5m will be inserted). One of the table contains 10 fields and the other 5 fields. There isn't much to be done about iterating through the records since that part can't be changed at the moment. What I would like to do is speed up the part where I query MySQL. I'm not sure if I have left out any important details -- please let me know! I'm also no SQL expert so feel free to point out the obvious. I thought about: Putting all the inserts into a transaction (at the moment I'm not sure how important it is for the transaction to be all-or-none or if this affects performance) Using Insert X Where Not Exists Y LOAD DATA INFILE (but that would require I create a (possibly) large temp file) I read that (hopefully someone can confirm) I should drop indexes so they aren't re-calculated. mysql Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.22, for sun-solaris2.10 (sparc) using readline 4.3
